leaving soon - extremely over-priced
Well, where to start? I had problems before I even moved in. Doing the initial pre-move-in walk-through, there were all kinds of problems with the apartment. Dirty, stained carpet; linoleum peeling at every edge and seam; disgusting blinds in the bedrooms; vertical blinds in living room were bent (it looked like someone had tried to hang from the support bar, because it was bent in the middle, making the blinds lop-sided); and there were all kinds of cracks and holes in the bathroom tile grout. I thoroughly documented all of this, and when I turned it in, I got a phone call from the office - they were upset, and told me "You can't expect a new apartment." No, but I can expect one that's clean and maintained. I went the rounds with them a few times, and they FINALLY put in new linoleum and carpet, new vertical blinds, and fixed the grout in ONE bathroom (not the master, though). Maintenance knows what they're doing, for the most part. They fixed my refrigerator and dishwasher quite well. But they handle problems that are beyond their skills in very poor ways. Like windows.ā¦Ā See More>csparraga

awful!!!
I was charged $90 even though my wife and I conducted a thorough cleaning of the apartment. We know we left it on the same conditions as we found it and submitted proofs in pictures on the excellent conditions that the apartment was left. Prior to turning-in the keys, we called the office and requested a walk-through to make sure there was nothing wrong with the apartment, and if it was unsatisfactory, arrange to meet the demands. We were told that they couldn t say when a walk-through would be possible. And at no moment we receive a phone call from their business office inviting us to do a walk-through which by law it is required. Furthermore, they did not submit to us proof in pictures that the bathroom floor(s) or kitchen appliances were not cleaned when those items were thoroughly cleaned. I am to conclude that with out proof from them I was am being lied to. And that is not only dishonest but also bad business practices.

What a waste of money and time
I refered my freind and his wife to our apartments, he has a 790 credit score, his fiance has a 690, they still have a couple things in collections but otherwise great credit, i got a phone call from him today laughing saying they declined him for the apartment??? Don't bother going there and filling out a application fee if you have 1 little thing in your credit that is negative, They charge $35 dollars for each application FEE and once your declined you get a "ahhhhh So SORRY attitude with a little smirk on there face and snatch up your check and poof its gone, he said he has had better luck in Vegas, its really sad when a computer program detemines your credit worthiness, and your rental history, income and word doesn't mean a dam thing anymore, Please don't waste your time with this place. after hearing this we will be moving out and advise other couples not to waste your time here.

AWFUL Staff
So living in our apt didn't kill us. THat is the best that I can say. I never really thought that having a bad office staff wasn't that big of a deal, but then the problems started, and it became a joke. Our bathtub faucet broke, which meant that it leaked all the time. We told them on a Sat that it was broke, and a week later, NOTHING. We called again and received, "Oh sorry a work order wasn't put in for it" sorry sorry sorry....and it still took them a few days to get it fixed! We would need to contact them and we'd have to leave messages. Messages that were never checked, and WE would have to call back to follow up. I train for Customer Support, and WOW do they need it!!

horrible experience
I couldn't what I was put through from these apartments. I recommended to apply to these apartments. I applied, they asked for a $70.00 application fee for me and my daughter and a $125.00 deposit. They were so rude we were going to leave and then suddenly they said just pay the 125.00 deposit and when you get your diability check you can come in and pay for the $70.00 application fee. I just got my disability check. I went there gave them the 70.00 and I had already given them the 125.00. They said they couldnt run it right away. Twenty minutes later after I had left the complex they called to say I was turned down to bad credit. I have medical bills because of my disability but they intend upon keeping my $70.00 application fee. This is an unbelievable rip off!!!!! Dont rent there. Dont apply to rent there. I am telling all of my friends and telling the lawyer that recommended the apartments to me.

Find someplace else
I do not recommend this apartment because the ladies in the office are idiots and do not know what they are doing and who they are dealing with from person to person. They are forgetful and each one has a different story when we first trying to get an apartment there-poor communication. The workout facility is nice, but they do not keep the sanitation wipes in there regularly. They do not hesitate to tow your car if accidentally parked in wrong area. That is fine, but the tow company they go through monitors the lot nonstop and waits to get a hold of the vehicle owner for a while before notifying them. Walls are thin and you can hear everything. Windows and carpets are worn, but they do not replace them. Appliances are very old and impracticle. The w/d unit only lets you dry things 20 minutes (with 10 min cool down) at a time, so you are constantly having to check on your clothes before they are done. The office and gym are kept up and looks nice, but the apartments are old and outdated (except for their DEMO apartment).<br>

Many problems when moving in. Several repairs needed to get the apartment into shape. Office only open during business hours when both my wife and I cannot access them. New carpet was nice.

Great apartments
I love my apartment. I've never had any problems with anyone in the office or from maintenance. They are all really helpful and have been great to deal with. I understand that I am living in an apartment and that there will be some noise from the people above me but it's tolerable. My neighbors are nice. There some parking issues but some people are just inconsiderate. I don't think that has anything to do with the management. I would HIGHLY recommend Pinnacle Reserve to anyone!!!

Do not live here
We had issues with this complex the entire time we lived there. Our alarm went off one night without any reason at 11pm and when we called the office to find out how to turn it off they told us to wait until the front office opens the following morning. It took calling them back 4 times before they would finally tell us how to turn it off since it was going off every 15 seconds with a loud beeping. This office doesn't seem to recognize an emergency unless it is a problem for them. Beware of this complex it may look nice but the managment company doesn't care about their tenants. Read the fine print on the lease and do not even think about breaking you lease they will make it hell with extra walk throughs and they will enter your property without your permission when you are not there. They claim they are allowed to do this by leaving you a notice at their close time so you cannot call and re-schedule.

I hated every minute of our lease!
The walls are paper thin, you can here everything that happens in the apartment next to you. Don't get a pond view thats another 25-50 bucks per month to look at a pile of dirt that the stacked in your window two months after you move in. Parking totally sucks, atleast i got my daily excersise. If paying a ton of money for the quality you could get out of a cheep casrd board box for free makes you happy than pinnacle is GREAT!

I can top ALL of these bad experiances, these apartments are HORRIBLE!!!!!
I actually lived in these apartments for two years. My husband and I decided that when we moved here we wouldn't move out until we bought a home (which has now happened) When we moved in we had neighbors upstairs that where horrific!! They used their upstairs balcony as a place for their 3 dogs to use the bathroom. The feces and urine would fall right through the wood slats and land on our patio, walls, and windows. The smell was nauseating and we called and complained probably 15 times over a 4 month period. NOTHING WAS EVER DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!! We would receive notices on OUR door almost weekly that WE were out of compliance, and that WE needed to clean up our balcony. The neighbors upstairs where never told to clean up the mess and when my husband ( who is a police officer)finally talked to the neighbors, they brought down a couple of buckets and dropped them on the cement. When it was time for these neighbors to move, NOTHING was done. I had to call upper managment(whom, by the way, the office staff WILL NOTā¦Ā See More>anonymous

Not helpful
The staff is kind and chirp, but useless. The real problems like parking, bad policies, etc. go unresolved. If there is a serious issue, don't expect anything! The parking has few open spaces, and people like to park in your paid for spot. When that happens, the towing company, Heritage Towing, which sucks, never comes. I've called 8-9 times, and they've only come once after a huge amount of haggling, but the driver left by the time they arrived. Residents are so tired of no towing that some will park behind the vehicle so they cannot leave to wait for the notoriously slow, if ever there, towing company. I've talked to Pinnacle Reserve about it several times, but they say they're under contract and that's the only thing. <br><br>We're moving out to buy a house and they charge the cancellation fee of $800 plus the rent for 60 days written notice. Not the best my any means.
The apartments were noisy! We were on the ground level and could hear the tenants above sneezing and using the bathroom. They did send someone to fix problems quickly which was nice but upon leaving the place there was no communication back to me about what was expected. I called several times to ask what I needed to do to get my deposit back and the employee told me just to clean it and not to worry about filling up the nail holes they'd do that. I spent 3 hours cleaning with two other people and we decided to fill the nail holes anyway. When I got back a whopping 9.00 check I called and found out there is a whole detailed checklist that they need completed or I wouldn't get my deposit and they felt I didn't complete it to their total satisfaction. I called a few more times to protest and the manager was not available but would call me back. Still waiting to hear from her a year later.

I heard way to much stuff...it made me tiptoe around my place for fear of disturbing anyone else...a radio was left on in another apartment for days, I could distinctly here the words to the songs all night...that drove me nuts.<br><br>Several cars have been parked in my assigned stall, forcing a long, dark icy walk back to my apartment from the "guest section".<br>

NEVER rent here!!!
We were so disappointed with Pinnacle Reserve. For the money, there are much better choices in Salt Lake. Crime is a huge problem; there were 10 garages broken into while we lived there (as seen on Fox 13 news in May, 2004). Management was rude and never made an effort to make our experience better. We saw Salt Lake police there on a weekly basis, often with guns drawn. People played BOOMING music in the parking lot almost every day; forget living here if you have babies or kids that nap in the afternoons. The grounds were kept well, but the interiors were horrible; broken blinds, particle board on the insides of shelves, and damaged countertops. The model apartment doesn't come CLOSE to what real apartments are like in the complex; carpet is worse and the fixtures don't even match. Safety is a huge issue; the rape of a child occurred in an apartment on Cache Point Lane 2 years ago, and there are really questionable people living there. I wouldn't rent at Pinnacle again and steer single women and those with young children away from the property.

I used to work for this property and would like to tell you some things before you ever try to apply here. I only hope that this reaches people before they make the mistake of moving in.<br>You will not get your deposit back. I will NEVER rent from a BRE property just from my experience of working there. They will not take care of things quickly and they will try to trap you into anything that they can. You turn in the wrong amount for you water which was always confusing because of the fact that they never new the actual amount and you get a late fee. I dont think that is fair.<br><br>There is no lighting anywhere, atleast when i worked there that was always an issue. This apartment was not a very good experience for us.
I forwarded this link to the apartment managers so I assume its only a matter of time before they get on here and write some great reviews for themselves, but i dont really care, Ill never live in an apartment again.<br><br>The Pinnacle Reserve was in a nice part of town in Draper, the local schools were good and the shopping was good and the overall atmosphere of the area was great, however when it came to the apartment it was less than good.<br> The parking is completely inadequate, the exterior lighting is dim and dull or in the case of the far reaches of the parking lot it was almost non existent. We felt very unsafe at night walking the distance from the only available parking. Garages are available as single car garages but they are awkward to pull a larger sized vehicle into. The maintenace crew seemd a little half witted at best, but they at least would respond to your online maintenace requests, even if it was to tell you they couldnt do anything about it. The lawns are ALWAYS swampy and smelly due to the SERIOUS over watering EVERY SINGLE NIGHT, so if your wanting to walkā¦Ā See More>anonymous

these apartments are sub par
these apartments are not a very good place to live, i feel very insecure at night due to the poor lighting and the very poor parking, most times at night i have to park by the "pond" and it is very poorly lit and a very far walk from my apartment, there is alot of theft and burglaries here as well. the garage is only to be used as a garage, not a storage, yet when i asked about leasing a storage they said they are exactly the same as garages so can you store in your garage? or can you park a car in your storage? its theSAME THING!!<br>management will not discuss the safety issues and are very evasive. they are painting the apartments now but when something major comes up they say they cant afford to fix... they are supposed to be changing the ac filters yet they havent and i was without a/c for 2 days. the parking and safety issues here are well worth NOT CONSIDERING living here!!!!

Good apartment buildings, poor management, poor parking
I have almost enjoyed living in my apartment here, except the fact that theres no parking and less security, some people arent using their garages for their cars, but some peoples cars dont FIT in their garages, like mine. I dont have a choice as to what type of parking was assigned to my apartment, I ASKED! For those of us that have to park a few builinds over and sometimes by the pond, theres absolutely no parking lot lights or any security. I dont hear normal conversation from connecting apartments, but I DO hear ALOT of stomping around from the above apartment. The floor plan is nice if you dont have kids, but the cabinets are shoddy and the washer and dryer suck, well the washer is alright but the dryer SUCKS! This is in a nice area and there arent any junked cars that ive noticed and the surrounding community is nice.

Planning to renew my lease next month...
A great place to live... The apartments are quite nice with great floor plans. The maintenance is competent and responsive, usually same day service when using the convenient online reporting system. The office staff is friendly and helpful, although I will admit that I have never had any serious or difficult issues to be resolved. Management does appear to try to deal with issues that I have noticed, for example, the lawn sprinkler system has been rebalanced and seems to be working better with less puddles. The poor lighting in the carport areas has been fixed, with all new lighting installed. Speed bumps were installed in some areas to help reduce dangerous speeding, though many more are needed as I still feel at risk of being hit crossing from my garage to my apartment. The rotted wood exterior trim has been replaced in preparation for repainting. There seems to be more people cleaning up after their dogs, though this is still a problem. <br> <br>On the negative side... the water bill is now handled by a new company, and my water bill has increased to 250% of what it used to be, and extreme water conservation on my part has had noā¦Ā See More>anonymous

BAD BAD BAD
This place has the potential but unfortunately its pretty bad, the apartment managers are rude and arent taking care of a problem we had with a break-in to our garage, its been 20 days and not a word from them, we called and they said they didnt know anything about it! EVERY time we have made service requests it has been one excuse after another why they couldnt fix the problems, Id like to know, What can they fix? Very poor lighting outside, and definately NO PARKING! I dont believe they have any security either.

these apartments suck pretty bad
we were part of a big string of robberies that was even on the news and it has been 11 days and the apartments have yet to even attempt to fix the giant gaping holes the burglers made to attain access to our belongings, i called the office yesterday and the girl said she "didnt know anything about it". it seems that in 11 days they would have at least tried to contact us and let us know what was going on, instead of pretending nothings wrong. I asked them if there was any chance they would get a security company to monitor the premises and they said if we wanted any kind of security we would have to pay to provide it ourselves and it says right in the lease there is no security... but the lease doesnt say that there would be completely inadequate lighting on the exterior, its VERY dark here at night and not safe, especially that you usually have to walk 3 buildings just because there is no parking and as a woman with children that is very unsafe. <br>they dont want to afford security but they can pay CHEMLAWN to come and treat theā¦Ā See More>Juniper
