Positive overall, metro is incredibly loud with windows open. Gym could use additional equipment but isn't bad as is. Rent overly high, apartment is very nice but hard to justify price when I don't use the metro often and don't really need the proximity.

My experience at Meridian at Eisenhower has been great, however the fact that the rent has increased has been problematic for me, and I am not sure how much longer I will be able to afford living here. However, overall the staff is great and the community is nice.

extraordinary staff. The apartments are Close to all the the shopping essentials and the metro! Easy commute to Fort Belvoir as well. Target and Walmart are also just a short drive away. The facility is always clean and the pool outside is great.

I moved into this building just over two months ago and thus far I have enjoyed my experience. I love being close to restaurants, a movie theater and the metro and the staff here, overall a really nice. Also, the apartment has been very quiet which I really appreciate. The only weak point I can note is the lack of a substantial business community around the building like exist at the meridian buildings closer to Old town.

A great apartment community to live in. Management and maintenance are very responsive to any issues, the apartments are well-maintained and noise doesn't travel easily from unit to unit. Great location and convenient to the metro, walkable to Old Town, Whole Foods, and restaurants.

Great location being next to a metro stop and walking distance to old town. Not much going on after hours so the area gets pretty quit at night. The staff and maintenance are very tentative and respectful. The rent is not low, but you get what you pay for.

Great experience overall - the only complaint that I have is I just wish dog owners did a better job at being responsible for their dogs. Otherwise everything is great at the Meridian at Eisenhower Station Apartments. Thank you, Doug Altrichter

My experience has be great. the staff is the only reason that I am still there, I have identified locations with lower rent, however very comfortable with entire staff. the location is also very safe with easy accessibility to DC and Maryland.

Access to the parking garage when the door is closed. My remote, and those of others I have observed, is extremely un-responsive...Sometimes I have to get out of my car and press the opener to get the garage to react. I have seen other residents do the same thing. Rent Hike: Since I have moved in,(2012) my rent has increased over $200. I'm not sure this is the best way to reward a tenant who is always on time with rent and courteous to staff.

Having stores close enough to walk to is a great convenience. 711, CVS, Movie theatre, nail salons, Ice Cream shop, several eateries-restaurants and the subway. Then there is the metro subway station just across the street. Hotels are close by in case you have visitors and need a place for them to stay.

Nice building, friendly onsite staff, good facilities, seems new & clean. Parking spaces are tight, & parking regulations are a bit strict. Very metro convenient. Safe neighborhood, clean and decent. It's in walking distance to Whole Foods, the movie theater and a few restaurants. But it's not a cozy neighborhood - it's all apt buildings. Also, there's a little construction & freeway noise. It's a good commuter place and prices are good for what you get.

9/18/14 - update to earlier post. While everything I wrote last month about M@E still holds, I'd like to re-emphasize my discontentment with pricing and other monetary issues by sharing a rather egregious problem. This past June, I attempted to change the amount of money taken out of my bank account to reflect the increase in rent and other expenses. Somehow, through user error, I had two full months worth of rent money taken out, which in this case meant that I was owed $2625. I reported the problem immediately, and was told that the charge could not be reversed, and I would be issued a check. That was >90 days ago, and to date, I have not received the money. If the situation were reversed, and I owed M@E $2625, there is no doubt that I'd be evicted, and my account turned over to a collections company. The leasing office dealt with my many inquiries in a cordial fashion, but for some reason, they seem incapable of cutting a check for the money owed. My lease ended and I checked out of my apartment on 8/31/14. At that time, I once again inquired about the money, and was told it would be sent to my new address. Several days later, I noticed that $2725 had been drawn from my checking account for the month of September. When I inquired as to why this happened, I was politely told it was my fault for not closing the account. After several days of inquiries, I was told that there was "good news" -- the charges for $2725 could be reversed, and I'd see my money in a few days. Perhaps not surprisingly, the money did not show up in my account, and so, once again, I called, only to be told that the now 100-days overdue check was "going into the mail" and the charge reversal "should show up in a few weeks." Folks, I don't know about you, but $5350 isn't chump change to me. And again, I ask: if I'd pulled this on M@E, would they have been okay with it? My situation may not be common at this facility, but I sure as hell wouldn't wish it anyone else. It felt like I was dealing with Comcast...the individual leasing office staffers were polite, but nothing got done. And like Comcast, Paradigm Management has a bit of a monopoly in the area. Consider yourself warned. ***************** (earlier review - August 5, 2014) Living conditions at Meridian at Eisenhower are generally quite good. The staff is friendly, the building is always very clean, and unlike other apartments and townhouses in which I've lived, you don't hear your neighbors. Pets are treated warmly by staff as well, which I like. There's free coffee in the lobby till noon every day, the gym is well-maintained and has nice equipment, there's a small rooftop pool (no balconies or grills, though), and occasionally, staff will host little gatherings for tenants. But there are some weird rent pricing policies...typically, new tenants get some sort of enticement to sign a lease. This often includes receiving a month or two free of paying rent. After you've signed the lease, there are no further deals to be had, and loyal, drama-free tenants are instead rewarded each year with a rent increase. I find this incredibly strange. After all, if I stay in my apartment (i.e., I don't move out when my lease ends and instead renew for another year), the building doesn't have to pay the money necessary to clean/replace carpets, paint, cover nail holes, and so forth. If I leave, all this must be done AND the new tenant will pay less due to the free month or two of rent. In what bizarre world is this scheme appropriate or fiscally prudent? I quickly realized that if I wanted to be rewarded for being a good tenant, I'd have to rent directly from an owner. Luckily, there are plenty of options to do just this in the Old Town/Carlyle area, and these condos/apartments/townhouses are generally every bit as nice, and don't require paying extra for parking, pet fees, storage and all the other ways you get "nickeled and dimed" at a place like this. I've found a very nice, upscale apartment and I'll be renting from an owner who isn't charging me for all of this stuff. As such, I expect I'll save money, especially if the rent doesn't increase a year after I move in. Another big issue currently is the enormous amount of construction in the area. This wasn't present when I originally decided to lease. While the location across from Metro is very convenient, Paradigm (which owns M@E) is building yet another high-rise directly next to Metro and across from M@E. I used to have a nice view...now it's a view of a giant hole, filled with construction equipment. Work on the project starts early each morning, including on weekends, and the pile drivers (or whatever they are) are really loud. It's dirty and dusty, and much more difficult to find a suitable spot to walk the dogs now that it's all torn up. And I'm told this project will continue for the next 24- 27 months. NSF is building in the Hoffman complex immediately next to M@E, and that area is all torn up as well. Again, there are much more bucolic choices, especially at the high rent price point at M@E. That's all for now. I have not moved yet, so I'll evaluate that process and add more commentary later as needed. I fear the "nickel and dining" will continue until I'm completely out, but we'll see.

I have been at Meridian at Eisenhower Station for a week; I have been extremely satisfied with the community and accessibility to grocery stores, general shopping venues, the metro, and night life. Availability of bike and running trails is also an added benefit of living in this community.

Great apartment building to live in! We love our home here and considering staying for another year or more if the rent does not increase after our lease term. The convenient location and the quality service are the plus. The only complaint is the white noise from the metro train.

I have lived in this apartment complex for 2 years now and have recently renewed my lease. I have rented at many apartments over the past years and can say that this apartment complex by far has the best staff as well as nice apartments. The staff is very personable and knows all the residents names and often remember your apartment number without even asking (and there are 25 stories of apartments so very impressive). My overall experience with this apartment complex has been very positive. When repairs are needed the response time is quick. If a mistake has been made they go above to try to resolve the issue. The location of the apartment is very convenient with easy access to the metro. Additionally, the amenities are very good here.

Friendly, helpful staff. The common areas are kept spotless. Concierge service is very helpful. Absolutely beautiful building. Very convenient to Old Town Alexandria. Complimentary coffee service in the lobby is really nice. Club room, fitness center, business center, plaza and pool are all beautiful.

The train tracks are too noisy. Prior to moving in, they should have been transparent with the information. The fact that there are no grills is a turn off. No Courtyard is also a turn off. I would recommend this property to individuals only if they don't require more outdoor amenities. For my personal situation, I would have preferred more amenities. The coffee situation is somewhat disappointing. In my previous location, we had round the clock access to coffee. No computer/printer. Again, in my situation as an executive, these things are important to me.

Very nice apartment, upscale, very near Metro. There are lots of amenities: coffee service in the morning, a club room, business meeting room, gym, pool. There is a guest suite available for rent on a per-day basis for visiting guests. Expensive but worth the money.

We have been very pleased with our Meridian At Eisenhower Station apartment. The staff is very friendly and maintenance requests are promptly tended to. The community is very pet friendly, and also very clean. The apartments quiet with regards to noise from neighboring apartments. Both of our neighbors have infants, yet we are unable to hear crying within our apartment. Our apartment overlooks the metro tracks and we can hear the trains; however we became accustomed to this noise after a week or two. This seems to be the case for other neighbors facing the tracks, while our neighbors on the other side of the building have said that their apartments are free from street noise. Overall, we are very happy with our apartment.

I was a prospective resident but decided not to rent here because of the loud daily construction noise and proximity to the Metro tracks. Apparently the trains run every 5min on weekdays and 15-20min on the weekend. Nothing like a relaxing day outside by the pool listening to the loud Metro trains all day long!
