Been living in this community since January 2017, overall it has been a good experience. I like the layout of my apartment, 2BR 2BA 1184sqft, good amount of space, I use the second BR as an office. The community is well kept, the residents typically keep to themselves, and there is ample parking. The Maintenance guys are awesome, I have only had to put in several requests during my time here but they have always been very responsive, quick with their work, very respectful and polite. The leasing office has been great, despite turnover which is very common in the apartment rental world, they have been helpful with requests and are good at keeping the community updated. Only issue is that it can be a little noisy at times when people are walking up and down the stairs especially if it is a group of people. And if you are living with an apartment above you, you have to hope the people are respectful regarding how much noise they make walking around their apartment. The family that lives above me now are good, the family that used to live above me were absolutely awful and I almost moved out because of how inconsiderate they were with all the noise they made. Overall, I would recommend this community.

We really enjoyed living in Broadlands Apartments. The place is clean and we always feel safe. Customer service and office staff is very helpful specially thanks to Naurin who help us out with all the move in process.

Good location. Decent price for the size of townhome, quality, and area but it could be much better. A single bedroom (850 SQFT) apartment is currently advertised on the website for about $100 less than we are paying for a 2 bedroom (1550 SQFT) townhome currently and we expect our rent to jump when/if we stay another year. Amenities are not bad but not great either. People in this community are not overly friendly based on our experience. Loud dogs and lots of pet droppings go untouched.

Experience so far is great. Staff is friendly and very responsive. The community is quiet with lots of walking/biking, running paths nearby. Within 10 minutes to everything you would like or need. One of the best areas we have ever lived in.

The only issue I have (and it is a big one) is the very loud noises (deliberate) noises coming from the apt. directly above me, especially after midnight and very early in the morning (done intentionally). This is an ongoing problem. Office was made aware of this problem; problem continues. Very difficult to sleep here.

Very nice family oriented community for our children to live. Floor plans have a nice layout that works well. Facilities are great to deal with and prompt at resolving any issues. Amenities will be nice to enjoy once the pandemic resolved, but for the time being they try to make up for it having community events to show their appreciation to their residents.

The worst experience! I do not recommend this community. I would give 0 start for this place because of: 1- unprofessional Management 2- Cheap place 3- bad smell of garbage around trash disposal is a significant sign of how Van Metre Apartments cares about environmental health!

We have really enjoyed our time at Broadlands. The place is well kept and clean. We always feel safe and any work orders we need have always been done quickly and done well. The area is nice and has walking trails and shops close by. Jorge Lopez is the best maintenance guy! Always quick to get the job done with quality results!

Our end of the community is extremely quiet. The tenants are friendly but for the most part keep to themselves, which is a plus for us. The community staff is friendly and helpful, probably because we approach them in a positive manner. The maintenance staff is visible and always willing to have you ask questions. The main building is inviting, warm, and has coffee, tea, and hot chocolate, newspapers, and a fire going. Business center has 3 computers and free copying. The gym is small but clean. A big plus for us is that they follow through with the lease agreement rules and that is so important these days Because people often try to ignore them and the place could end up looking trashy. We owned a house in Broadlands for 20 years. Our kids went to the schools and they are the best around. When we sold our house, we didn't consider any other place to live temporarily besides Broadlands apartments.

Mostly good, have had to call back maintenance to correct issues at least 2 times over the same issue. Lawn care on the back side of apartment is good but scraps are left behind my shrubs and in between these and the building...looks scrappy

Nice community. The leasing office and maintenance staffs are supportive. But the parking spaces are little congested. The only concern is that the standard rate telecom plan included along with rent. If it is flexible, it will be extra ordinary

Broadlands has been a great place to live. The rent price is competitive and the community is great. Maintenance team is very effective at fixing any issues. I plan on staying till I can afford to buy a house.

Moving in was a nightmare. When I arrived the apartment was extremely hot. The ac was broken. I'm not sure how long this issue existed prior to me moving in, but this should not have happened. Maintenance arrived and was unable to fix the issue and said he had to leave bc he was working all day and was tired. He did give a work around to the main issue and I was able to turn the ac on for the night. He came back the next day still unable to completely resolve the issue and gave another work around. I thought he would be back after the weekend but he did not come back and I had to call the front office to ask that someone follow up with the issue. 2 weeks later the ac is now functioning. Other than my many request for maintenance issues within the 1st week of living in the apartment overall the apartment complex is quiet and clean. Good for people with dogs. For the most part everyone picks up after their pet.

Good community overall. Convenient and reasonable price. Close to shopping and wooded walking paths. The Townhouse garage is small even for a compact car. The driveway is also narrow so you can't fully open your door on either side.

Overall the community is very nice; however, there are a few issues. One issue is the noise in the buildings. The hallways can very noisy when people run up and down the stairs. Another issue is the garbage and recycling area. The community has large cans for recycling yet too many people leave bags on the ground when the cans are empty.

I have enjoyed 3 years of apartment life at Broadlands apartments, enjoying the various amenities. When i first arrived I was met by Naurin Ayub upon first arriving, but spoke to her previously on the phone. She was very pleasant to deal with and is extremely helpful in answering questions and going above and beyond. I also have been helped by Kenny Londono, who is a newer addtion to the Broadlands Apartments family, and he turned out to be a very good clone of Naurin. Both of them are always pleasant to deal with, very friendly and accomodating to help resolve any issues as quickly and painlessly as possible. I will be moving shortly due to a job change, but I would have enjoyed a few more years here without any problem, I will miss them!! Anthony Manoleas 3 year resident

MANAGEMENT IS GREAT...NAURIN HAS BEEN HERE WITH US IN MANAGEMENT FOR YEARS...SHE ALWAYS MAKES SURE SHE HANDLES THINGS IN THE BEST INTEREST OF THE RESIDENTS.....SHE LOVES ALL THE FAMILIES AND I CONCIDER NAURIN TO BE PART OF ALL OUR FAMILIES...MY FAMILY LOVES NAURIN!!! WE HAVE LIVED AT BROADLANDS VAN METRE THREE DIFFERENT TIMES FOR MANY YEARS....IN BETWEEN BUYING A VAN METRE HOME AND TRANSITING BACK TO THE ARARTMENTS THAT ALWAYS HAVE A GREAT PLACE FOR US IN THIS BEAUTIFUL APARTMENT COMMUNITY. THEY ALWAYS PUT THEIR RESIDENT FIRST IN EVERY AREA OF BUSINESS AND APARTMENT LIVING. I and my family moved recently moved here from midwest. I was very impressed by how the staff handled our moving process in this difficult pandemic time right from beginning until we were comfortably settled. Because of the covid pandemic, we did not want to fly or stay in hotel during the move and ended up driving almost 20 hrs with the small kids .It was past already midnight when we arrived here at our new home. Apartment Staff Naurin was extremely helpful and she went very much above and beyond in making sure we reached our new home safely and comfortably. We are extremely thankful to her and the other staff Evelin, Keny and Hajera ,at the office. This is a conveniently located and beautiful space to live and raise family.I and my family are very happy that we decided to move here . Strongly recommend!!

It's clean, it's quiet, it's safe, and it's well maintained. The garages are tiny though, only big enough for a compact car (a VW Rabbit and a Subaru WRX are both a little bit of a tight fit) and the kitchen LOOKS like a good amount of storage space but really isn't. If you don't cook, this won't be an issue. You can fit two adults comfortably doing two tasks though, so that's a plus.
