Overall it has been good. Our AC has issues every year, and until last year we didn't have a good quick resolution, but now that seems to be better. Otherwise it's overall pretty good. Love the new hardwood floors in the common area of the building.

You need to have one assigned parking space for each apartment. I appreciate the walls you put around the garage dumpsters but after the weekends the amount of trash and recycles is overflowing. It's not very appealing to anyone wanting to rent an apartment. The maintenance staff has been excellent any time I have made a request.

It is very cozy so far. I am grateful that many of the utilities are included in rent. It is nice how close to old town Fairfax it is and how there is a free bus right there in front of Fairfax Square.

Maintenance is always timely and cordial. Usually all the problems are fixed the first time. The only thing that probably needs some oversight is the parking situation. We often have to find parking because the lot nearby our unit is filled. The visitor parking also is sometimes filled with cars that belong to residents.

We have had a problem with flooding in our handicaped parking space which has also impacted the adjacent parking spaces. On several occasions we have had to do without a dish washer because of GE maintenance. The office never offered us anything for not honoring their part of the lease. We went for more the 6 months in one year.

Maintenance

Maintenance crew is great. Anytime I have had a problem it was taken care of quickly. This time my bathtub faucet was leaking. They were here the day after I put in my request. The work was quickly and efficiently.

I’m not a resident nor have I came to the location but I did call to inquire about a 1bedroom. I spoke with NyLena Williams Leasing Consultant and I must say she had me sold without even looking at a unit. She was so pleasant and friendly, she answered every question with so much passion that I could tell that she was dedicated to helping me find my new home. If everyone at this complex is as friendly and helpful as she was, I’ve found my new place to call home. I can’t wait to call her back to schedule a tour and apply.

When I first moved into the community apartment, I was excited about the convenience and the perks it offered?especially the access to amenities like the gym and the pool. Fairfax Square is a luxury community that offers many amenities that residents love. We actually have green lawns and open spaces where you can BBQ outdoors. We also have a pool, gym, and clubhouse that are easily accessible. We also have open parking for residents and towing is strictly enforced for non-residents ensuring we always have parking availability. We have a fun and friendly office team and most maintenance requests are handled within 24-36 hours. The community is kept neat and clean and the apartments themselves come with full amenities, some even have fireplaces. Many shops, stores, and restaurants are within walking distance. Simply stated, it is a great place to live.

Office and maintenance staff have been friendly and helpful. But the property really needs better maintenance and upkeeping. The vents, washer, dryer, dishwasher, etc were dirty and outdated when we moved in. The vanities and cabinets are worn and have clear signs of water/mold damages, and some parts are rotted out and left unchanged/unfixed.

Old property, bad apartments

I've lived here for years and always thought these apartments were kind of iffy. I thought the area was good which is true but then I started having issues. The first issue was that whatever your neighbor was smoking whether it was weed or cigarettes was what you would smell in your own apartment. The second was noise insulation. You can hear everyone else in your building and everyone else can hear you. If you make ANY noise after quiet hours (regardless of what day it is like weekends) you can expect people to report you to management. The only positive side to this community is where it's located that's it. If the buildings were newer it would be an awesome place to live but unfortunately it isn't that easy. This place is not a place for someone who is active in any respect of the word. If you are extremely chill and don't mind living in a smoky, noisy apartment building then sure this is perfect for you. I'm moving when my lease ends. For what I'm paying this place should be perfect but there are other apartment that are way more modern in the same area. Don't be like me and be lazy, if you are already here just move it's easier than you think

Awesome Maintenance!!

My favorite part about living in Fairfax Square is the awesome maintenance team! I have lived here for almost a year now and my favorite part about living here by far is how attentive the maintenance crew is! I submitted a maintenance request for my garbage disposal a day ago and Inmar came in and fixed it in less than 20 minutes!! I also love the 24 hour gym here as well, very clean and has plenty of equipment and machines to use! Overall great place to live but definitely a huge shout out to Inmar and the rest of the maintenance crew!
