I think overall the apartment complex is in good hands with the existing staff. I the three years that I have lived here I can truly say I have not had any issues that were not addressed. The staff are very professional and well versed in the day to day operation of the community.( Bravo Zulu to the staff )

Luis was very informative through out the entire experience. He was very knowledgeable about every aspect of the property and convinced me very quickly that this was the place for me. If you are looking for a good community in Herndon, I would recommend woodland park.

Van Metre Woodland Park is in a good location with convenient shopping nearby. The rent is not too high for the area and the community is well maintained. Management does not meddle and service calls are responded to very quickly.

I was looking for two things in finding the right apartment for myself; 1. Solid parking 2. A place that accepted my dog (mixed with Shepherd). I received both at Woodland, but I received much more. First, the leasing agent, Karla F., is phenomenal. She walked me through every step of the leasing process, and followed up on any and all my concerns. She is excellent with a great personality to boot. Second, the area is lovely with shopping available across the street. Thirdly, the community on the complex is well maintained with a new dog park installed. I cannot be more pleased so far.

I really like the apartment but there is no fire place but it was shown to us during model house visit. I love my kitchen it is pretty big, but I have seen 2-3 roaches from the time I moved in. My leasing agent was Kyle Small, he has been really helpful to us.

This property deserves 5 star in all aspects. Location... Safety and Ambience... Ease of move in and move out... Super friendly staff at the leasing office... Extremely fast resolution of service requests. I enjoyed every bit of my stay here, and I will stay here again. The most remarkable aspect of my stay was the ease and friendly attitude of the leasing office staff here, who makes living here a impeccable experience. Kudos for nice work, and thanks for making my stay pleasurable.

Good afternoon, Family of Van Meter Woodland Park. I hope you are well. Let me explain the reason for making this letter. In 2010, my husband Raul Cruz, my 2 year old son and I, Lourdes Palma, moved to his apartment complex where Mrs. Katie Frazier assisted us. At that moment we rented an apartment on the second floor, we really liked it and love how they treated the tenants and especially the meetings they organized each month to get to know the neighbors and especially the kindness of their staff. We lived there for a year and because my husband uses a prosthetic leg (he can't be moving stair up and down too much), We decided to look for an apartment on the first floor and Mrs. Frazier Katie helped us very kindly and on 04/05/2011 we filled out the application to move on June 7, 2011. all It was fine until we started to have problems with the water charge which was very high so, after we speak in the office explaining the water problem, the next month the bill went down, but just for that month and then go back up. After we were not agreed with this bill being to high, they decided to change the water bill charge to a fixed fee of $ 50 until they check what the problem is and could solve it, but we realized that they always changed personnel showing few professionalism and they always wanted to send us to court because there was nothing in writing regarding the flat rate of $ 50. Therefore on 04/04/2017, my husband and I decided to leave VAN METRE and signed the vacancy notice. Few days laters we met Mrs. Julie Avery, along with the finance manager, Miss Donna,(very kind treat) they apologized and put the water balance at zero. They canceled the court dated and they asked us to stay there for one more term, because VAN METRE as a company and family did not want customers to leave and they even offered anything that we want to change inside apartment instead of not leaving. we decided to stay and they change carpet to wood floor, dishwasher, dryer and painted the apartment, we were very grateful, but in 2018, Mrs. Elly Sutton becomes Property Manager and, together with Mrs. Leslie Alves, who was her Assistant Property Manager, they began to harass us telling that we should Go because, according to the laws of Virginia, the apartment we were happily living is allow to stay just for two persons, I wonder? why they did not tell me back in 2011 when I moved the first time, knowing that law is valid for years. We know Ms. Elly Sutton since she worked with Mrs. Katie Frazier and may be she wait to become a Manager to apply the laws, they were unprofessional and rude when they spoke to us and threatened us. One of the things that surprised me was how Mrs. Leslie Alves treated us. She said that if we decided to sue them, we would lose the case, because we are a big company. and just after what she said, she extect her arm offering her business card telling me: " I am a real estate agent if you need to buy a house you can call me". My husband and I had a great dream of buying a house with you and unfortunately things did not happen that way because people practically put us out on the street who do not have professional ethics. With this letter we do not intend to hurt anyone, only that you as a company should select your group of workers not only taking into account their profession, it is also important that they are friendly, always smiling and that they know the company's policies because they represent you. because if they do a survey to all the people who live in Van Meter in Herndon, 99% are not satisfied with the treatment and the service they provide. Thank you God bless you

Nothing in specific, I feel rent is bit high compared to other appointments. Every year increasing rent and Telecom bill is also not fair. Every time when you treat bugs, we need to move all our items a side and bugs are not controlled

It's been a wonderful experience. The entire staff, especially Maggie, is professional and accommodating. I'd certainly recommend the complex to anyone. Compared to other complexes in the area, this also seems to be the most luxurious.

My boyfriend and I just moved into a townhome here at Woodland Park and we love it. Our place is newly renovated and the finishings and appliances are perfect. The only problem we had with our move in process was that the Internet/TV company could not set up our services on time due to our address not being in their system. We tried calling for about 2 weeks before move-in with no luck, and ended up having to have no internet/TV when we moved in for a couple of days. Not the end of the world, but that process could have gone smoother. Other than that, we are really happy with the community.

The experience was not as good as it should have been. Although the agents were pleasant and smiled, it is not a substitute for delivering a clean and working apartment. There were a few snafus with garage key, but it was successfully resolved.

The units and amenities are nice and well-done, the location is great, and the rent is reasonable. Maintenance is generally very prompt to respond. However, the community has a few odd features, including (a) residents need to request for maintenance to switch over heat to AC for the season, instead of residents being able to turn on or off heat or AC at their discretion; (b) all residents are required to use DirecTV and Hotwire as their TV and internet selections (no Verizon Fios), and residents are not able to elect to forego TV and pay only for internet; and (c) parking is difficult for visitors.

Not worth for the money so I would not recommend to others .. every year the rent is being increased blindly without improving the interior of the apartment .. hanging around because of the school district

Love the apartments. Beautiful property! My top pick for sure! Luis Mendoza made it hard not to love the property. His tour of the property was amazing. Probably the best staff at Woodland Park! I know I'll be able to count on him.

The location is convenient to the Herndon/Reston area and Dulless Airport. There is also Harriss-Teeter grocery store across the street. Unfortunately, that is where the positives end. The apartment would be nice if the office staff and maintenance were effective at doing their jobs. The multitude of maintenance issues are rarely resolved upon the first occurrence and god help you if the issue has to be escalated to the office staff. True customer service doesn't mean answering telephones and preparing lease documents for residents. It means being attentive, empathetic(not condescending!), professional and following through to make sure that a customer is satisfied! Unfortunately, most of the office staff and many of the maintenance staff at Woodland Park Apartments don't really understand the concept of customer service. On a slightly different note, and for comparison, the required $85.00 "telecom fee" here at Woodland Park includes DirectTV(no other cable provider choice) and Hotwire Internet(again, no other choice) at 25Mbps download and 4Mbps upload. This is the absolute minimum required by the FCC to be considered "broadband". Anyway, these are my opinions and experiences here at Woodland Park. One may ask, why not move? which is obviously a valid question and of course crosses my mind often. The short answer is this; cost and convenience. It also is not a solution because it doesn't address the issues.

Woodland Park Apartments is a 5 STAR resort. Okay it's not a resort but defiantly worthy of the title and here's why. We moved to the area from NC, while shopping around for great places to live, we were baffled by the cost of living and the commute to DC area. We researched and spoke with about 5 other apartments and some were enticing and some was like really is that all you can tell me. However Woodland Park won us over when we spoke with Luis Mendoza. Our moving experience was getting to be a little over whelming in fact I almost considered declining my promotion to move here until we spoke to Luis and he ensured us that he will guide us all the way. He explained everything with patience, he took pictures, he took us on virtual tour from his personal cell phone. To me he went above and beyond his normal role and demonstrated strong managerial skills (hint hint). We absolutely love the upscaled apartment, the 2 bd space seems larger then what the floor plan shows, the upgrades are the best in the area. The parking is not even an issue, but I must say if you get the fourth-floor hire movers; the stairs are real. We read all the reviews online mostly the negative ones because they are the most interesting and I must say don't do this to yourself, the folks that gave 1 to 3 stars, must have has a bad day. This apartment complex is top notch all the way around. We been here for a week now, and we called maintenance for the fireplace, they were faster then Jimmy Johns lol., we filled out our new move-in check list with just a few minor things and they came first thing in the morning. Also, I was scared about the mandatory hotwire/direct TV based on the reviews and once again they were wrong, the cable and internet works great; and you can't really beat just 89 bucs for both; it's a great deal. In addition, the shopping centers are very close, the Metro is about 3 miles, but they are building a station in Herndon with plans to open in 2020 that will be 1 mile. The apartments are crowded but very quiet, which was very surprising for us. All in all, we are so glad we chose Woodland Park Apartments; if I could give this place a 10 it will be an understatement. Thank you so much for making our transition seamless

I like this apartment very much. It's easy to commute to my office. The Daycare for my daughter and the schools are nearby. You can easily commute to DC and Maryland. It's a bit pricey but apart from that everything looks good to me.
