Leasing process: the staff was helpful and very responsive when I expressed an interest in the property. They helped me find the type of apartment for the duration of my planned residence. Moving in: Process was fine. I got my keys and got a brief orientation to the new apartment. Main issue was the state of the carpet (old & had a strong odor of cigarettes) and cleanliness of the bathroom. I informed the office and we began the process of inspecting the apartment and deciding how to rectify the situation. The carpet was changed and the apartment was cleaned shortly after that.

Very Quiet and upbeat. Trash is emptied to avoid summer smells. Maintenance is great and courteous. Sale office workers are very nice to answer any questions. If they do not know all the questions the refer me to someone else.

We had a good experience at Woodlank Park apartments. Maintenance staff are courteous and professional. The leasing office staff worked with us in re-cleaning the carpet within a week of moving in as our child developed a rash, which we suspected was due to his sensitivity to the cleaning agents used for cleaning the carpet. They obliged to have the carpet steam cleaned again without any chemicals. We really appreciated their understanding in this matter. Best, Abhilash

Our time here has been good overall. Apartments are nice and we have had very few service needs. The location is very convenient- you are able to walk across the street to the shopping center and are in quick access to 28. We lived on the 4th floor and with a young dog and bringing up groceries it was difficult at times. The staff is very friendly, but usually don't answer the phones, which was frustrating at times when I needed to talk to someone but wasn't home. Overall it's a very clean community and we've enjoyed living here.

The staff and facilities are great. My neighbors leave their trash in front of the dumpster instead of putting it in though, which makes taking out the trash an unpleasant chore. I have two recommendations for this: 1) remove the fences from around the back of the dumpster so people can't leave their trash without all the neighbors seeing it or 2) install some security cameras in the name of public safety, and ticket residents seen leaving their trash in front of the dumpster instead of throwing it out. The number of tickets you'd write in the first month would cover the cost of the system. Alternatively, you could get a concierge trash collection service like some other apartment complexes have in the area. Residents can leave their trash bags outside their doors and a collector can come by and take them all to the dumpster. You can charge a fee for this service that will offset the cost (say $25 or 50/mo), and you will also cultivate a higher-end atmosphere. I've also had issues with the towing company. I get off work after the office closes, and if I have a guest over for dinner I don't want them towed. They only allow one email per month, though. A better solution would be to begin towing at 11pm. It would cost less money to contract them for fewer hours, and after 11pm only people abusing our parking would still be there.

At first our experience was great. Our leasing agent was extremely helpful in getting our first apartment together, despite us being in different areas during the leasing process. Our space was renovated and has served us well, with few issues. Any issues we did have, the maintenance staff fixed swiftly. Our original leasing agent left the community, and we were not told. We were never given a different contact. From there, our rent went up after our first 13 month lease. We stayed because we didn't want to have to move from our ideal location and there were amenities that were "coming soon." The communication has been deteriorating, in fact I never receive many of the emails that my co-lease holder does. Parking gets worse every day. Our gates to protect the community have been broken for over a year, which means anyone can get it. The gym always has broken machines. The dumpsters are overflowing. The mail is impossible to get when the office closes at 6 p.m. regularly. There have been multiple domestic disputes where the police have been called and there was no follow-up with the community about it. There have been instances where strangers have asked me for rides in my own apartment complex. Things are not getting improved, yet we're paying more for the "coming" amenities.

Been great living here! Great location in the Herndon/Reston area with easy access to major highways and toll roads. Close to a nice shopping center with plenty of food and amenity stores. The community is made up of friendly people and the staff working always maintain the property well.

i am happy about our community though there are couple of issues i experience 1) Parking - no number assigned parking slots and occasionally we dont get parking when we return to home from a party or a movie in the nights. 2) Internet and Cable TV : These services are forced on residents by the agreement. one cant choose best out of market.

The new management doesn't deserve 1 star even. Its was a nice community to live. I lived here for 3 years and had to decide to move out of this community due to the new (mis)management. Maintenance of the common area went to zero specially in the kids play area. Water clogging cause insects/mosquitos biting the kids. Even after so many complains no action has been taken. Gates were never fixed in the last 6 months (atleast). They don't even care to help you out rather they try every possibilities to rip you off with new imposed policies/mandates/penalties. The school rating also went down and I don't recommend to move in this community.(just wanted to mention - so far I recommended more than 10 families to live in here and now I no longer recommend them to stay).

I love living at woodland park apartments!!!! Very helpful and friendly staff... I have been living here for almost 2 years and would certainly recommend this place to my friends. And the service and maintenance is really exceptional!!!!!

The Hawthorne apartment is pretty good. The two main complaints are. First, we need a bigger Gym and needs updating for the number of residents. Second, the parking space is not enough for our apartment complex.

I've been living here for about a year and a half and I still love it here. The staff is amazing, the maintenance is awesome and they always have something fun planned to engage the residents. It's a pretty safe place and and fairly quiet. The community is pretty clean and they always are trying to improve. I love the amenities like the gym and pool and used them often (pre-Covid). I think the value here is great, and would definitely recommend that anyone come and check it out for themselves!

This is a good place to live with family. This place is accessible to all super markets and lot restaurants, schools, public transportation, metro and also accessible to all type of entertainment. I enjoyed living here from past 2 years.
