Van Metre has provided a consistently above average living experience here. Facility is well managed. Although things go wrong, management always follows up and gets them fixed. Maintenance staff is top-notch, and owner constantly re-invests to keep the grounds and buildings up to date.

Everything looked good with respect to this apartment except for Internet which sucks big time and i would recommend property managers to think about the Hotwire Internet service and come up with another option like Verizon or Comcast or Cox.

The office staff is nice .The maintenance staff is incredible... quick, responsive, polite. Good school, quiet neighbor and If you are raising a family then you have come to the right place. Every shopping center is in a walking distance.

Ms. Claire and staff are amazing and go above and beyond to assist in making your stay a pleasant one. I love it here! The maintenance staff are exceptional and attentive! It's convenient, great atmosphere, clean with nice gym and swimming pool.

This is not a bad community to live in. A few pros/cons listed: PROS: A lot of the townhouses and apartments are being upgraded and have a better look on the inside. Well-kept community Maintenance is very responsive Very good night lighting Semi-gated community CONS: Leasing office is hit or miss, there are great people there and there is bad management there too. The majority are great however. This is a majority (over 60 or 70%) Indian community. Talking with my Indian co-worker who lives in this complex, a lot of them are 1st generation migrants. So they tend to stick to themselves and other -------. If you have kids they don't really let their kids mingle with other races. You can see this if you stroll out in the community and look around. A lot of the Indian men can be very rude but this might be a part of their culture. A black male friend of mine who lives in this community states to just ignore them and they won't bother you. The trash situation on the weekends is the worst ever. If you do not take your trash out my Friday night/Saturday morning, expect that it will not make it inside the trash compactor. I feel bad for the maintenance crews on Monday mornings.

Noisy Construction at any time day or night inside the neighbor apartments 7AM to 10PM with no respect for my peace and privacy. Poorly constructed, thin walls -- my neighbor snores so that I wake up every night. Roof leaks. Dryer caught my clothes on fire. A neighbor's baby screams constantly . Sunday morning the dumpster runs constantly filling the streets with mechanical grinding. It's really expensive to live here. The forced internet package is expensive and unreliable but you can't choose another provider. The "new" appliances are not worth the extra rent charged. Renters are dinged for every utility-water, electric, gas, cable/internet, etc. Moving is expensive but so is living here. If I can't rest up to return to work, what good is a home? I work long hours, and only want to rest when I come home. I have to work hard to afford the rent and all the utilities. Nothing is included. However, I am not able to rest because Van Metre does construction on the neighbor's apartments at any time with no respect for my right for rest and peaceful enjoyment in my own, expensive home. When I asked management to delay the construction to a less invasive time, they accused me of harassing them. The grounds are bare bones. Despite the huge unauthorized truck that destroyed the bushes at the front door, no one cared to repair or replace them. There is really no ambiance except for the public land on the east side. Safety--My new car was vandalized in my driveway, and vagrants knock at my door. I had to ask to fix the fireplace many times but it's never right. Falls apart. The kitchen cabinets frequently fall off the hinges, and I pay for an "upgraded" kitchen. Windows are not insulated. Toilets are old and corroded, wasting water (you pay for), and I had to get one fixed on New Year's Day. Last year the snow was not plowed and we were stranded in drifts. I had to go into the clubhouse and wait in line to ask about my lease renewal last year because they fired my "Captain" and no one tracked her emails.

I've been living here for a couple months now and really like it. My leasing agent, Javarus Ford was sociable and spoke to me like a regular person instead of trying to sell me on the place which, was a nice change of pace compared to the other places I visited. The place itself has a BUNCH of cabinetry and the apartments are clean and spacious. There's good maintenance response, great staff (who will answer any questions you have) and friendly neighbors. The dog park is convenient, and the in apartment washer/dryer is great. I have no complaints or regrets about choosing here for my home.

He helped me through the whole leasing process and made it easy. He is still a big help if I ever have a question. The property has a great dog prk that I use routinely in the morning. That is one community feature that I must say sets Woodland Park away from the other communities. I have only been at the property now for 2 months but it has been a peaceful 2 months.

From the moment I walked through the door I received excellent customer service. I was very impressed on how knowledgeable Kelley was about the community and the availability. She had the answers to all my questions and was very helpful in showing me around the community. She even made it a point to show me the great dog park that they have to offer. I fell in love with all the amenities, especially the gym ! I have decided to make Woodland Park my home because out of all the other places I visited, she took the best care of me . I can't wait to move in !

I recently moved in at the beginning of January and have been very pleased with Woodland Park Community, the location, and our Community Captain, Nicholas Steffen. Within the first week, we notice 1-2 things that we wanted to get fixed and the property manager had it fixed the next day. Nic has checked in multiple times to ensure that we're taken care of and he was extremely easy to work with in the leasing/move-in process. I would definitely recommend Woodlank Park to anyone that is looking to move to this area and I have been very happy with my stay so far.

We moved to woodland park a couple of months ago , I love the place my mom brother and I live in a renovated two bedroom and are In love with the place ! I wanted to thank Emily for helping us out in the process it's great that she is able to speak Spanish and explain things to my mom as english is a second language to her and prefers to speak Spanish , the whole property is just so friendly and we love the gym and that it's really close to our apatment , also thank you to Joanthan who came out right away to fix some minor work orders this week, a downfall is that our internet is a bit slow but we are thinking about getting a higher speed to resolve the issue .

I highly recommend this apartment complex for anyone looking to move to the Herndon, VA neighborhood. Easy access to Dulles Airport and highways. Staff is very friendly, remembers your name is prompt with email responses. The apartments are all in the process of being renovated, I currently am in a renovated lofted apartment and have been very pleased with the upgrades to the appliances, counter tops, and gray wall paint colors. Maintenance response is timely, however at times can come unannounced. I have a dog and this has been an issue however, I let the staff know to notify me via email and phone call to let me know prior to entry and have not had an issue since. I believe the rent is fair for the area, grounds are kept nice, pool and fitness center are very convenient, however the fitness center is rather small for the amount of apartments on site, otherwise nice to have just down the street when Crunch Fitness is too busy. Theres plenty of sidewalks to walk your dog, large dog park with plenty of pet clean up stations which seem to always have plenty of bags. Been really happy with Woodland Park, we will be renewing our lease this spring.

Javarus Ford and the Woodland Park's team and managers provided fantastic customer service as we sought our new home in VA! Javarus was patient, knowledgeable, and attentive to our living desires. Within about 2 hours he showed us available units, did the paperwork, and provided pertinent information to set up our utilities. Additionally, although our relocating to VA was delayed, Javarus made himself available to make our final transition seamless!! He indeed made our relocation to VA a pleasant one! Plus the townhouse we choose was just what we wanted!!! Kudos to Javarus and the whole team as they worked in sync to provide excellent service!!! Lastly, as my husband often comments, Javarus has continued to make himself available to us when ever we have questions or need further assistance!! Again big thanks to Javarus Ford!!!!

I just moved into woodland park apts and was concerned with some of the reviews. I am glad I moved here. It is close to work and I can walk to get my groceries from shoppers. The onsite team has been very helpful. Lauren always helps me no matter what I need. She is always friendly and made my move in less stressful. Living at Woodland Park is a great experience. I am not from Herndon and I am not going to pretend like I was over joyed when I needed to move here for my job. The great thing I have realized is that because I live at Woodland Park, i am been fortunate not only to get a great place to call home with a cozy fireplace in the winter, and a beautiful pool to enjoy in the summer complete with a waterfall feature, but also I have gained a new family in a sense because the staff at Woodland Park had been really remarkable in my opinion. Emily was a great help during my first visit to Woodland Park and since then any time she sees me, Emily always takes time to say Hello. I have also noticed that the Manager of the Service Team Tyrone is very dependable and even helped the worker named Brian fix a problem in my home with my thermostat. Lately I have had packages delivered while I was not at home so the packages are kept safely for me at the office until I am able to pick them up. Each time I notice Kelly and Nick asking me about my home and often they asked how I like living here.... so I must say this personal attention makes my day. In my line of work (system analyst) I go to work each day for long hours and work on a computer and there are days that have gone by and not a single person speaks, however, I know upon my return home I can go to the clubhouse to use the gym and when I walk thru the main entrance there at the desk will be a smiling face and someone who asks how my day is going. Thank you Van Metre for having the best staff in town.

Woodland is a nicely located community. Best part of it is, if you stay in this community your child would get admission to McNair Elementary school. Which is one of the best. Woodland staff is highly professional and helpful especially Ms. Lindsey Michlik is a great help. Maintenance staff is prompt on any issue within the apartment. I really enjoyed my 1 year of stay in this community. If i don't have to move to Atlanta i would have continue my stay in this community. Great place to stay....

Moved here in 2013 to be closer to work. Started off a little rough but I have see nothing but positive changes especially within the past year or so. The change in staff has made a drastic change. Claire was the first person to actually greet me with a smile. The new manger (I think her name is Kelley) made me feel like part of her family. Always at every movie night with my kids and they cant wait for the Halloween parade next year! Everything is well lit at night and we enjoy our evening strolls. Weather permitting of course. Thank you for making our apartment feel like a home! :) Don't think we will be moving anytime soon!

I have loved here for 6 months for this time was considering moving to London County. I decide to stay because I have many friends here and they all make me feel at home. When I renewed Mr Darnell came to clean my carpet and even found a way to get a stain off my chair. I am thankful for this nice gesture and good customer service.
