I moved to woodland park about 5 months ago and so far so good ,Emily was my leasing agent who did an amazing job ! My move in date was scheduled on a date that she was out of the office and I wanted to recognize the whole team for helping me out I'm not great with names but Lauren Javarus and rob all stepped up to the plate and made the process smooth and quick! I also wanted to add that I had a hard time finding the dumpsters but as I was walking out I saw one of the maintenance techs and asked if he can show me where to go he did it right away. P.s the gym and dog park are great !

I love living here at Woodland Park as it makes my commute to work easy. The community's location is convenient and the staff has been very helpful. The leasing agent rob was helpful throughout the whole leasing process and made the process of relocating easy and less stressful. I have been here for over a year now and am quite happy and plan on renewing as for s long as i am stationed in this area.

I love living at Woodland Park and can highly recommend it though I have a couple of issues that are worth addressing and considering. The PROS: The apartments are spacious, are getting gradually upgraded (I luckily have a newer model!), are reasonably priced for the area and shops and restaurants are in close reach which is great. Maintenance is really quick to turn things around and fix things; the community is pretty much always kept pristine and the staff is super nice. Special credits go to both Lauren and Emily from the main office and William from Maintenance - you guys rock and make all the difference! If I haven't said it already, THANKS again for everything! There are some CONS however.. We had literally no choice but to sign up with their Internet/Cable provider (Direct TV/Hotwire) and the broadband is godawful!!! It keeps getting stuck and when working from home one loses the will to live. We were informed of some improvements over a period of time so thought it's a temporary occurence and at renewal were asked to pay an increase (not only rent which was fine but for the cable which was NOT enforced by Hotwire having asked them directly but more so from the community directly!!). Whilst the increase was negligible the service actually went downhill over time which not only leaves a bitter taste to those renewal proceedings and paying more for lesser a service but it continues to be a frustrating issue for the last 6+ months. If someone actually reads this and would like to offer us a refund of our increase since renewing in exchange for a better rating we'd be delighted! Furthermore and although I'm feeling relatively safe for now it is frustrating to see the main gate open at all hours of the day. Access is supposed to be controlled and/or gated but the nice guy from the porters hut hasn't been seen in months and since the main gate is open 24/7 every Tom, ---- and Harry can just drive in as pleased.. So overall, if you're not too concerned with safety and don't mind a touch-and-go wifi connection this is the place to live!!

I would like to recognize Emily, one of Van meter associate for her termendous service and support to help with two apartments for my colleagues. She deserve to be applauded for her caring and customer oriented service. I am impressed the way she handled perspective customers. Truly deserve a pat on her back.

Woodland park had been a good home for my family. When it was time to renew I decided to stay for another year because Kelly the assistant manager took time and talked to me about my thoughts on the community and she told me about the new things going on. I never thought I would want to live in an apartment long term but now I could not imagine leaving. I am looking forward to using the outdoor elliptical and an machine when the weather warms up. What a great place to call home

Staff is very rude, and very aggressive in handling customers, Keeping things hidden, undisclosed, not make you aware while signing important policy documents. Move-Out notice there is a clause that says recurring payment no longer valid, which is nobody alert me, when i logged into rental website it still shows auto pay is active, then i just logged off as this still active and there is no alert or notification. Believe it or not, immediately there is a fine for 201 dollars. this is very hidden clause, when i go ask for help, The person in Finance Lauren she is very rude in attitude. Person should have been better in handling people. Please be careful when signing or living in this place.

No one takes accountability: - secure community whose security gates have been wide open 24x7 for months - trash and recycling overflow nearly every day. 2 centers to leave trash/recycling for 700 units. no plans or approach to pick up more frequently. smells. probably rats. many complaints from other tenants. - workout room equipment for screen that connects to large screen inoperable almost since I've been here. no one cares: "it's a technology problem. yea, we gotta fix it." no date for fixing. then they say it's fixed and it's not. many complaints from other tenants.

Van Metre Woodland park apartments on Overcup Oak Ct are the best in town. They have a luxurious look compared to the other communities. Slightly costlier but worth it. I recently moved out of Woodland Park Apt but my experience was not as good as it was when I moved in because of some staff members' negligence. Javarus (Jay) is the only person I felt was thorough professional. He was the one who helped me resolve some issues. He was really helpful. I appreciate him. Overall Vanmetre Apartments are the best in terms of design, space and park, moreover they offer incentives to residents buying Vanmetre constructions.. Thanks.

This is my first time moving out of the parents' house (other than college), and I had a great experience with Woodland Park the moment I came in! First, go to Lauren. She is extremely understandable about what my needs were as a tenant, and she was able to identify which option was best for me and my roommate. She was more than willing to work with me regarding my necessities, and was very straight forward with all of the additional items that come with moving in! As for the apartments, each one was handled with extreme care before we even got a tour of them. The new appliances were a big plus, and it is nice to know that the whole apartment was completely renovated prior to us moving in. The amenities that Woodland Park provides are of great quality, and I am very much looking forward to using the pools more as the weather gets better towards the spring, The whole team at Woodland Park was fantastic!

I love living in this community, primarily because of the diversity of residents and the laughter of the children who live in Phase 1 of the property. I'd like to specifically commend: Farid, Brian, and Will Fulton (Maintenance department), Luis Guitterez (leasing office), and Reggie (leasing office, team captain) for providing excellent service. Whenever I have a maintenance issue and need to call for service, Farid, Brian, and Will have ALWAYS provided service above and beyond 'the call of duty.' Each gentleman is kind, knowledgeable, efficient, and---again---very kind. I never have concern about any maintenance issues when these gentlemen come to my apartment, and I'm always peaceful because I know they do their jobs very well. In my book, these three gentlemen are pure gold. I'd also like to commend Dennis (security gate guard). When I arrive home and see Dennis at the front gate, I'm always greeting with a smile and wave, and then I know that I'm safely home. Lastly, I'd like to commend Kelly Finnvean (sp?) in the leasing office who helped me with an issue that nobody but her could address. She is kind and she asked the right questions. (Thank you, Kelly...).

I am currently a resident at Van Metre Woodland Park and I am truly impressed with the staff and maintenance people. The staff made me feel right at home when I moved in. The amenities are impressive, especially the gym. The community is clean and quite. The community is gated and makes me feel more comfortable. I am in walking distance to the shopping mall. Highly recommend this community to my friends and family!

I am pleased to report that Woodland Park really feels like home to my family and I. After moving from place to place over the past 15 years almost 8 times, we are finally content. Besides our fabulous kitchen with granite and new appliances, I find it so nice to be able to see my child play while I prepare dinner thanks to the clever lay out which allows me to keep an eye on him. Recently while visiting the front desk I had the pleasure of meeting the new Manager's Assistant, Kelly. She was very kind to me and my children. She took the time to ask how I liked it here and even asked the children their opinion. I find it delightful to share this story because it reminded me we make the right choice to move here and I hope to make it our home for many years to come.

I visited Van Metre Woodland Park Apt twice, then once I spoke with Mr.Rob (Leasing Consultant), I decided and joined the community on Aug 6 2016. Me and my family start enjoying the community as the complex generally quiet, safe and restful. Our leasing Consultant Rob is friendly, patient and professional. I like the admin team, they are very helpful and likeable.

Living here at Van Metre Woodland Park has been an amazing experience thus far! It is always clean and very quiet. The amenities are great! I workout a lot and the gym is so useful. The new outside fitness machines are AWESOME! Brilliant idea. The management staff and maintenance staff are always extremely pleasant to work with. Always nice and professional. I have had a number of chances to be helped by Reggie, who is one of the most personable and efficient leasing professionals. Always a joy to know he's there to help in any way. I really do enjoy living here.

Very very bad customer service, not polite, very reckless management and they feel as if we are asking an apartment for free, no proper response or respect towards customers. Definitely not recommend vanmeter at Woodland Apartments for stay. I will give 0 rating out of 5.

Kind of expensive, but location is good. Really what brings this place together is Lauren, she is a bright spot at this community. She's always been there to help when I need it. The dog park that was just added is pretty awesome too.

Customer service is so bad specially the front desk all the way to the manager my air-conditioning been out for the last five days and I've been reaching out to every you want no one Call me I'll let me know if they able to fix the AC and not so please before you run this place check this out

I Have Been a resident here for the last 3 years and their seems to always lie an issue with customer service it seems the back office never tries to solve the problem however the front desk receptionist was very helpful ( Brandon) .. I love the community location and the features for the apartment I would not change anything but better customer service.. Thank you

I moved in this community 3 months back. Rob Bell at the leasing office assisted us. He was very polite and made moving for us easier and very smooth. The town home which we rented is really nice. I am loving the stay here.

I recently moved from out of state to Woodland Park Apts and so far have had the best experience. Reggie and Shantal were so kind, efficient, and patient and made sure all of our needs were met. The apartment complex is very quiet, safe, conveniently placed across the street from a small shopping center and the bus stop to the metro station, and is very clean. The small issue we had in our apartment was quickly taken care of by maintenance. Parking is never much of an issue which is such a relief after long working days.

Not really sure why there's a lot of negative comments on here. The place is beautiful, clean and friendly staff. I read a review about the assistant manager being rude; must have been some one before Chris. They sent us an email the other day about the new dog park and last night about watching out the storms are coming. They look out for us. I love Woodland Park. This will be my 2nd year.

I moved to the property little over 2 months ago. This is not the best community in the area but it does stand above the some in Herndon area. Bus stops are right outside of the gate, metro is also close by. You have little shopping center across the street with a 24hr grocery store and Starbucks. Maintenance is slow and management is not very good.
