I've lived on this complex for over two years & I honestly hate it. The parking on this complex is horrible. They require you to have a sticker and if you don't have one they "tow". Most of the cars on this complex don't have this stickers & just park anywhere. The parking spaces are limited. If you get a parking space in front and happened to leave by the time you leave the complex someone has taken your spot. There's people that literally watch and wait till you leave so that they can take your parking spot. The maintenance time is one thing I loved because they always responded immediately, the only thing is that I've had to call them because something stopped working every month. Another issue I've had is the bad case of ants I've had in my apartment. I've called them multiple times but it seems like it'll go away for a couple days and after that the ants are back and I'm forced to call them again. Most of the staff have attitudes when I call or go into the office, with the exception of Lauren, so I try to avoid them altogether. The rent is expensive for the size of the rooms and closet space they give you.

I have lived in this community for over 2 years. It is very convenient, school is good. Whenever I have problem, the community captain always tries her best to help me. And maintenance responses quickly. They even replace the bulbs for residents, which is really a surprise. My neighbors are all very quiet, I feel blessed.

This is a great community. My family and I are very happy here esp the kids. We love the convenience as well as the school district. Its been over two yrs now and we have no regrets. We are very thankful to the community staff esp Shantal in the office, she seem quite knowledgeable, my wife talks about her all the time. We encounter few maintenance issues but they are quick to respond. Everyone really is great to deal with and really seem to care about the community. I will recommend this community to my friends and co workers. Keep up the good work. K Singh

hello everyone, Please don't go to this community. its very expensive and very low customer service. I had a hard time to renew my lease and they asked me to $200 admin fee while renewing the lease. what the f***, they didn't provided any discount or appreciation that thank you for being with 1 year with us instead of that they are asking more money. The person in front office he was too rude. Everyday issue is that they don't have enough parking slot. if you come after 9 pm you will hardly get any empty space for your car. you have to park your car 4-5 buildings away. only one Trash container in whole community. they have very big community & that cheapo keep only one container if you want to trash your bag first you have to load in the car drive and then you have to trash. trust me by walking it will take 20-25 min time. There is no shade for your car parking. Please don't ask about the maintenance, you have to wait and keep remind them. very bad experience. only thing is that, This community is near to big IT companies and public transport. If you have car I recommend please stop going there. There are so many good communities near by 4-5 mile. radius.

THIS PLACE IS DESPICABLE! These people obviously don't know anything about customer service. I was just told "f*** you" and "too bad you renewed your lease, we were hoping you would move" by the assistant manager. If anything is wrong they try spend more energy trying not to fix it then it would to address the problem to begin with. Recently, I woke up and found my garage wouldn't open. I called the maintenance hotline (that is manned by people who never properly relay the message to the maintenance personnel) and they generated a work order. I the maintenance tech shows up, and asks me for my key? He then opens the door to walk in to the garage, and says nothings wrong. I then have to explain the problem again (because the guy they pay 8/hr to answer the hotline didn't relay the message properly). I show him the problem, and also demonstrate that the light in the garage still works. He still proceeds to flip all of my breakers, even though I told him I had already done that. Eventually he makes it to the building's electrical room, and determines that the circut was looped to outside light timer. So he reset the timer. My garage opened, until the light timer went off again. I had to deal with this at least 3 mornings and week for 2 months before they finally hired an electrician. This is just one of many botched ways issues have been handled. You have been warned. ..

I moved to the property little over 7 months ago. This is not the best community in the world but to me, it does stand above the rest in Herndon area- bus stops are right outside of the gate, it takes only 15 min to get to the metro. You have little shopping center across the street with a 24hr grocery store and Starbucks. The community itself is very clean. What won me over was their fitness center. They got fairly new equipment and pretty cool activity room with big screen and different workout videos you can choose from. I usually use it for yoga\pilates. And as of apartments- they are well maintained, clean. Noise level is as any other complex- you can hear people sometimes but nothing to crazy. Only suggestion to the management i can make is to work on their cable\internet service- if you force people to go with a certain provider (which has terrible customer service)- at least offer some reasonable options.

I've been living at this property for over a decade. The service here has always been above reproach. The entire staff is courteous and highly professional. I can't say enough, nor words can truly define the service they've given me over the years. Always on time comes to mind. This is truly a great community to live and play. Special shout out to Shantal, Elly and Liz. They make living here a wonderful experience. Thank you David

Been here for about 9 months now, overall I like the community, there are few things here and there that are always there. Most of the staff is good and friendly except for 1-2, facilities are nice and well maintained. Maintenance is good cant complain although sometime you really need to get behind mostly depending upon who you are dealing with.

I love the area to start with. You have everything you need around you, from teeter to Starbucks. The bank, sushi place. The community mangers are very helpful. Whenever I need something done for my place they are on it right away. The property manger Chris is outstanding! Very friendly and helpful as well. If you love working out they have the best gym! They also have a separate room if you love doing youga. It's clean, safe area, and the people in the office are very welcoming.

Been here for 6 years and can't complain. Have cycled through a number of Community Managers (none better than our current one... thanks Elly!). Maintenance is typically quick and gets the job done. Parking situation could use some improvement, but most places in the area are like that. Other than that, a relatively quiet, family neighborhood with plent of amenities nearby.

I have lived here for years. The Complex is neglected. In May, one of the neighbors across the Street on 2367 Sycamore View Lane was arrested for drunk driving. (The police came, gave him a sobriety test, something you would not to expect to see here.) He hit the brick column. It is still not fixed today. He and his roommates (grown people rooming together) love to harass people to force them to talk to them. It is creepy. You often see him stumbling drunk trying to keep his balance. The brick column is not fixed and he and his grown adult roommates continue to harass people.

We are quite happy so far that we chosen Woodland Park as a place to live in. We like our apartment, windows, and the tree and other plants outside our windows, the space of all our rooms, like the speed and quality of work of the maintenance team. Also we like our neighbors. I would like to mention Mr. Christopher Timko, one of the assistant property managers in Woodland Park, who is very responsive and attentive to the inhabitants' needs. He is a very helpful person who makes your life easier. Respectfully, Roman Kozhevnikov.

I do not recommend this property. Very unorganized place. The maintenance comes in to your place without any notice. Which I have complained so many times. They don't care at all, especially once you sign the lease you are basically no body to them. I am single mom and unfortunately my income is not enoug to to move out so I am stuck until next year (hopefully). As far as the management almost every month you see an new employee and if you had an issue with anything then you have explain your situation to 3-4 people and if you get lucky your problem will be solved otherwise good luck . I honestly don't feel safe here and I can't wait to move.

4 Stars for the apartment 2 Stars for the management Giving 4 stars for now based on the apartment... may change in future based on the con's listed below Pro's: The apartments are new with good living space sq. ft. Enough parking spaces available Nice club Room and Gym Full size washer and dryer Very Close to Groceries, Restaurants, Gym, Movies, Park and Ride, and Airport Partially Gated, as not all the perimeter is fenced Con's: Worst Leasing Staff. Not friendly and lack professionalism. They never respond to your calls, voice mails but may respond to E-mails in 2-3 days Maintenance requests take little longer to address/fix No choice of Internet/Cable provider. You are stuck with DirecTV. Will be noisy if your neighbor living upstairs have kids running around Looking at the other reviews I am worried already about the moving out hassle :( So, if you are planing to move in here, make sure you read all the other reviews as well. And make sure you discuss all your requirements(if any, two parking tags, visitor parking rules, Club house and pool access, lease breaking terms and sub-lease options etc.) with the leasing staff before signing the lease. Good Luck!

We have signed a lease with Vanmetre wood land park last year. At the time of lease, we were told that woodland park will provide dish and broadband internet and they are charging 75 per month. We work as IT employees and we thought broadband internet should be good for our needs. In the first month itself, we had a internet outage for three days. After that, intermittent connection issues every day. we have complained so many times to internet provider and woodland management. No action has been taken and there is no option to change the internet provider. When i need to login to work,i have to go near by starbucks and connect from there. Since, i have signed the lease, couldn't move out. It was horrible experience. As soon as we finish the first 10 months, we gave the notice. This is not the right place, if you are dependent upon INTERNET. I wouldn't suggest these apartments to anyone.

Woodland park offers every resident a *chance* to win a $250 VISA(R) gift card if you provide a positive rating with them. I don't want to be part of it. I want to provide a honest opinion that is not fake. The apartment is overall OK. Not good, not bad, just OK. The insulation is a joke, but nothing unusual you find in the area. The maintenance differs between ok and crappy. Nothing you find somewhere else, too. You constantly need to run behind them since they are not able to get some issues fixed. But if you tell them twice, they will go and do it. Had such a experience with another apartment, too. Don't be afraid to escalate... The leasing office is debatable. There are some competent people and a lot of incompetent ones. Right now they struggle to get good employees and it sounded like they let some go due of their bad performance and "customer" behavior. Their parking policy is a joke. At some days and most times late in the evening you might struggle to find something and have to drive some blocks up and down. They started to tow a year ago, one year after the told us to do this, but the effect is debatable. They are looking into replacing the towing company, so there is some effort. I just don't trust such statements until I really see that something is happening. It would have been better if they would go every 1-2 weeks every car up and down to look for a sticker and leave a nice "get a sticker or you get towed the next time" letter on it. But parking is also at other properties a problem... not just one of this apartment complex... assigned parking is possible for a nice fee that is in my opinion not justifiable for the price. Internet with TV is enforced. $69/month. No option to opt out. No option to get another provider. The speed is average cable/DSL. They had big issues in the past and where terrible. But I have to say that seemed to fixed since the changes in 2014 and I am ok with it (minus the enforcement). There are residents which are not able to use the trash dump correctly. But I see efforts to clean the mess up every day -- maybe there is a 1-2 day break at the weekend... sometimes its ok, sometimes not at the weekend. We did not have a increase in rent in the last 2yrs which is nice. The apartment we have is ok with price/value due of the loft. Just one without a loft would not have been the price worth for us -- but that is a more personal opinion. Noise is most times ok. We didn't hear too much, but it can also be less. We lived in an apartment with worse walls in the past. You definitely hear the bass from the neighbor when he plays a computer game. If you figure out who it is the leasing office is more then happy to contact them for you -- but you might have to go to them twice. Harris Teeter and Starbucks is in walking distance. A bus drives in front of the builds on the main street which can be used to commute to DC (or you drive with the car to Herndon Park and Ride (free parking) and take the 5A directly to DC or to the new Reston metro station (and pay parking). Still takes ~1hour to get to DC. Would we rent again if we live somewhere else? We don't know, there is a small chance for yes, but we will definitely look for other apartments in the area and "risk" to live there if they would provide a similar apartment with loft for a similar price. Could be worse, could be better, you never 100% know what you get.

I recently had a pest infestation problem in my apartment and i called the front offie to speak with the property manager. I asked to speak to ---------------,but the receptionist told me that her name was ----------------. I am very confused, because since i have been residing at Woodland park it seems this lady has been changing her name constantly. First it was -------------, then it was ------------------ and then ------------ and now it is --------------. I really don't know who this person is, if she is indeed my property manager. I hit the jackpot when my call was transferred to her the other day since i have always been told she was either in a meeting or occupied with a resident whenever i have tried to contact her. When i informed her about the pest infestation, she asked me to follow up with my community captain because they were in charge of the various building units. She did not accept any responsibility or accountability but put all the blame on the community captain. I was surprised that she was not even apologetic or tried to find a readily solution to my problem. I have stayed at woodland park for a couple of years but i think it is time to move out and move on. This apartment complex is being degraded by terrible management practices and it seems higher level management only makes cosmetic changes by firing leasing consultants. More often than not, it is advisable to look at the manager in charge. If you have given them all the necessary tools and they are not meeting goals, you have to let them go.
