Impressed

I was very impressed with Tom for his responsiveness in getting the TV to work in the guest room/bar. He worked past close of the rental office and called on multiple sources to ensure that he got the TV working for us. Overall, I have been impressed with the property.

Excellent community

I have lived here for the past year and I am extremely pleased with the community. Both my Roommate and I have enjoyed our stay here at Woodland Park. The staff is friendly helpful and efficient. I have nothing but good things to say about the staff and the maintainence team. I have recommended this community to several of my friends and they have loved it as well. I especially enjoy the convenience of the Full Size Washer/Dryer and the built in surround sound.

I have been a resident for over 2 years and I am very satisfied with woodland park apartments. The service response has been very good and it is even better now. The leasing office is good and Tom is very helpful. I am very happy with the property management especially Tom.

Worst Apartments!!! Poor Construction!!! You'll be Sorry if You Move Here!!!

These apartments are very noisy. Since I've moved here I have not had a good night's sleep. The construction is lousy and you can hear eveything your neighbors do. I only wish our lease was up sooner. PArking also is bad and you can't walk in the grass beacuse of all of the dog poop. Save yourself some frustration and look somewhere else. The staff is pretty good, but that does not make up for all of the noise. Bad deal all around. For 1700 dollars a month, you think you could have a quiet apartment! Please don't make the mistake that I did. This place is Hell!!!!!!!

Long term renter and loving it!!

I have been a resident here for almost three years. I have moved within the community and lived in three different models. I have had nothing but good experiences here at Woodland Park. My apartment has a great floorplan, tons of natural light, and a huge amount of space. The walk-in closet might as well be another bedroom. I came from a complex that had a community laurdry room, it is so much more convenient to have a full size washer and dryer in my home.

I have lived here for about a year now and I have been impressed by so many things here. These apartments are very well maintained. The management is very polite and helpful. I constantly recommend these apartments to all my friends. Awesome!!!

Very spacious

I just moved in not too long ago and am very pleased with my move. I was living in a studio apartment near DC before and am very impressed with how spacious my 1 bedroom is and I am paying less here than I was before in a studio! I am so happy thus far and can't wait to see what my future has in store for me here.

REVIEWS WRITTEN BY WOODLAND PARK EMPLOYEES

Lot of the positive reviews lately have been written by Woodland park employees. They cannot fix the problems and just want to cover up by writing fake reviews here. I just want everyone to be aware of this trickery. They want to make sure that their apartment is atlesat recommended by over 50%. if they will treat everyone professionally and respect their time and the money they sepnd on rent; they will take care of the problems and not fake reviews here. I could trace the origin of this review based on from where it is written and it points to their office! Stop the trick and get to work! People are smart and they will not let you trick them.

Love my apartment!

I have lived here for over a year and really enjoy it! I just recently transferred to a 3 bedroom townhome and it's great! Maintenance responds quickly and they did a great job with the snow removal!

BAD DEAL

Our heater and air conditioner has been a problem since day 1. The Internet really sucks and the TV cable is pathetic. The stair case is old and worn out and the rent is really expensive for the quality and service they provide. If you still want to rent here and write a review like this - go ahead, else you are better off another place.

Dont even think of moving into this Apartment

Cons : 1. Apartment not upto mark. 2. Very bad internet and TV Connection (By default you should opt for the service provider provided by the community) 3. No parking space. 4. Never saw unauthorized vehicles towed away. Pros: Location.

Big Promises Little Delivery

I am very disappointed with Woodland park. When I first moved in, I was promised a great partment. I had a nice tour of their sample apartment and it sure looked neat an nice! Come to my apartment - when I first moved in there were problems with: 1. Rugs 2. Floor - creeky, dented and hollow in places! 3. Can hear what your enighbors are talking about - am sure they were hearing me too! 4. NO PARKING!!! had to park in handicap slot many times and pray that the car won't be towed away. What am I supposed to do?!!! 5. Trash around the chute - come on, get that nasty thing moved, atleast we'll breathe fresh air. Waiting for my lease to end - stuck :(

Stinky and noisy

I lived here for about a year and my place was near a garbage disposal, yeah I know, poor me. It was stinky and noisy because there were no timings as to when a person could throw out garbage and they often did it at night, when they came back from work.There were times when the garbage would have just lay there because both the garbage disposals were broken down. I was gravely worried about the health of my three year old when the garbage was not cleaned out for days. This was my biggest problem and I fianlly moved out because overall I was not satisfied.

My internet is working now

I have only lived here for about 9 months now and as the internet has had its connection problems at times my internet is up and running very smoothly now and Management and MDU has assured me that the. I love my apartment and plan on living here for at least another year and then purchasing a Van Metre home.

Not worth your money

I have moved from Alexandria area for a much better and quite place. The community is built on spacious plot of land and is very close to my work place. There is however space for improvement. I really don't know how anyone can tolerate such mediocre service for such an exorbitant rent. The construction is poor, I can hear my neighbors conversations even know when they take a shower. I have had to call the maintenance so many times since I have moved, and they do not pay any heed until you remind them a number of times. The pools are not very well maintained. They are not very strict on their pet policy either. I see cars parked illegally in fire lanes and in handicap spots. These problems reflect the lenient attitude of management and I wish they would try and improve on that.

The number of reviews say it all! PEOPLE REGRET when THEY RENT

I moved out last year and moved to Reston, bought a home! I am so happy to have a home of my own! Woodland Park apt was a total sham - poor construction and no parking. I have had my car towed away by these people and they will not provide extra parking space. When you are in a service industry - you gotta take some step towards welcoming people and making them feel at home. But I never felt at home, constant problem with my floors, neighbors talking (could hear everything!) Not worth the hassle!

I agree NO PARKING, SLOOOOOOW INTERNET and EXPENSIVE

I totally agree with many of the reviews posted here that there's NO PARKING if you come even a little late, SLOW INTERNET and you cannot switch to another subscriber, EXPENSIVE for the service and the quality of home. Shame VAN METRE, shame on all of you! Give people the quality they pay for and stop the cheating!

Worst Internet Speed - No Parking

The community forces you to pay $70 for the Internet that is now slower than a dialup! Also, there's hardly any parking space, I spent 20 minute looking for a parking space and finally have to park across the street in one of the commerical building parking space with the fear of my car being towed away.The community does nothing about it. The service, if you complain about anything and if it is a little mroe than simple thing - forget that it ever be done on time. Not worth the $$$ rent $$$ you pay! Better options exists in the area - better facility and better rent. You are better away from this place.

Strongly disagree

I strongly disagree with the previous statement. I for one was born and raised in Georgia...the SOUTH, and everyone affiliated with Van Metre Woodland Park has always treated me with the utmost respect and professionalism. It has absolutely nothing to do with where you were raised on the contrary to what was previously said. I am absolutely in love with my apartment and plan on renewing when my lease is up. I have lived here for 3 years now and would strongly recommend this community.

EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE and POOR CONSTRUCTION

Bad construction, No parking, slow Internet, bad service and extremely high cost! The snow is dumped right in front of my house - please clean it!

Racists and Hate ------- - Specially South -------

I have had the worst experience of renting a house from Van Metre Companies' Woodland Park Aprtments. One of the most expensive houses in the area and it's a total rip off. Since I moved in, and it's been only few months - I have had to register complains 9 times!!! 1. <b>Bad smelly carpet</b> - used and worn out! 2. <b>Broken blinds</b> - not replaced although have complained 4 times just for it in the last 3 months! 3. <b>Creaking floors</b> - there are dents and holes in the floor, you can step on it and you will sink in few inches! 4. You are mandated to subscribe <b>Internet and cable</b> from them - charge $70 for it and has the worst service from MDU. Who's MDU??? No weekend support and <b>the speed crawls like a dial up!</b> You can get cheaper and fiber connection from Verizon or Cox. <b>But whether you use it or not, you have to pay $70</b> 5. If you come back home after 7 PM for get getting parking space. <b>There's like 0.85 car space for every home - you will not get space.</b> 6. <b>Hates -------!</b> Don't know why - cos they are racists - atleast the folks that deal with Woodland Park Apts. They specially hate South ------- and their way of lifestyle. They think that South ------- are very messy people and generalize few bad apples for all the South -------. They hate that ------- perform "puja" inside their house. There are many other options in Herndon and Reston - like the ArchStone or Worldgate, I have finally moved here and it is so much better! No complains and kind and gentle folks who welcome all. <b>It is $250 cheaper!</b>
