Absolutely Love It!
I absolutely love living here and the neighborhood. It's beautiful, for the most part very quiet, and always kept up nicely. Everyone is very nice to my dog and I enjoy that he has other dogs to play with. Naurin and Katie could not possibly be nicer and always take care of any issues in a timely fashion with a smile on their face.

I feel at home!
Naurin was very helpful throughout the move-in process. She answered all my questions both through a phone call and an email. She did a great job of helping me feel at home in my new apartment! I think the quality customer service here at Tuscarora Creek is missing from many other complexes.

Family
I've seen a significant improvement in the staff since the management change. Naurin, Katie and the on staff maintenance person continually make me feel like I am part of one big family. Everything from handing out breakfast or just walking around the complex leads me to believe that Van Metre really cares about their residents.

Right choice!
I have had recent experience with 3 other properties in Northern Virginia. Although they were OK, it has reinforced that my decision to live at Tuscarora Creek was the right choice.

Good, not great
Don't be mislead by all the perfect 5.0 ratings. Naurin is cool, Katie is so-so. The old manager Kathy was much better and more understanding. The pool is nothing special, and is closed Mondays and whenever else they feel like it. The apartments are dusty, very dusty. It is a fine dust that never goes away. We dust and a day later it is back. The bugs are bad too. Earwigs, silverfish, and ants are everwhere especially on the bottom floor apartments. The cinder block construction is quiet and sturdy, but might lead to the dust problems. There is ample parking, but somehow the managers don't think so, so you get towed easily. They aren't liberal with parking stickers, and don't give them out unless you beg. $150 to get your car back, and you got to drive to Sterling. Their office hours vary. If they're there by 10am it is a good day. Maintenance is okay. We needed a new dishwsher, and got an old one complete with someone else's dishes. The dryer is still messed up, and the washer is on the fritz. They won't fix them though. The rent is going up, and for that price they want you can find better. This place is about mid-grade overall.

Wonderful!
The management here is wonderful. Katie and Naurin are very pleasant as well as very helpful. We haven't lived in an apartment for years and have been pleasantly surprised by our experience here. It is also quiet and we love the view of the golf course.

Great Place to Live!
Van Metre Tuscarora Creek is a great place to live. Naurin in the rental office is one of the kindest persons I know. I have to have oxygen and she has volunteered to carry my groceries into my apartment several times for me, which is a great help, for I get out of breath so fast. She has also indicated to me that if I need any other assistence let her know. The cleaning lady that takes care of cleaning the hallways as also help me by carrying in groceries. My neighbors in my building are real nice. One lady helped me with my groceries. A lady saw me outside at my car when I got so out of breath she stopped to check on me and asked if I wanted her mother, who is a nurse, to check me over. I just needed to rest but I thought this was very kind of her to ask. The grounds are well maintained with the mowing and the trash being picked up. The buildings are pretty well sound proof for I don't hear my neighbors making any noise above or beside me. This is the first complex I have ever lived in that provides monthly birthday cakes, breakfast, and best of all a cookout with hamburgers, hotdogs, etc. You can't beat living here at Van Metre Tuscarora Creek under such kind and caring staff.
