I am very satisfied with my apartment and amenities. Tammy in the office was very patient and accomadating during the selection process. The location of my apartment is perfect. I am grateful to live here. The only negative feedback I can provide is the amount of dog poop scattered throughout the community; that behavior is difficult to control.

For the most part it's been great! There have been a few maintenance issues that have been hard to resolve. I think my biggest issue was a worrisome neighbor that my family had to deal with which forced us to move twice withing a few weeks, but other than that it's a great neighbohood.

Love the community , the staff is remarkable and the maintenance is on top of everything when asked or scheduled. Neighbors are friendly also . Definitely feel safe and protected in Brittney commons knowing that the sheriff is a few mins away too!

Quiet, Clean and enjoyable living. The management and staff are very customer focused and professional. The landscaping and quality of the apartment's is great. I would recommend Brittany Commons to anyone that is looking for easy living on a beautiful property with many great services.

The Brittany Commons Apartments are the least “luxury” things i’ve seen on this planet. I’m active duty military and i’d rather live in a trailer park than this place ever again. First let’s start with my day of move in. On move in day the maintenance team was still working on fixing my apartment. There was no flooring in the restrooms or kitchen and the washer & dryer were in the dinning room. So not only we’re we attempting to move but we had to move in around maintenance putting flooring in. Next on my list is the poorly put in shelves in the second bedroom. My daughters room. They only drilled in one side for f the shelf so as soon as clothes were on it the shelf fell to the floor. The sink leaked and the spray nozzle didn’t work the entire time of living there. Only upon move out did they state they bought a sink but decided not to put the new system in while we were living there. The toilet in the master bedroom not only makes the worst screeching noise when you flush it but whenever the people below us flush theirs too. the landscaping and bug deterrent they add to your rent is never actually done. The upkeep of this apartment is puke worthy and quite literally smelt worse than a dumb the moment you walked out of your apartment. i killed 26 mosquitos in my apartment and 8 spiders. the two bedroom i was in was $1880 and wasn’t worth even $100 of that money. The management team forgot to give my security deposit to whom they use to clean the apartments upon move out so 3 months after moving in decided to charge me a “returned check fee” for their mishap. So i had to go out of my way to get a cashiers check after arguing point on why they didn’t cash the check when they received it 3 months prior. Last but certainly not least, i moved out just 5 short months later (thank god) on military orders to Korea. It’s a hardship tour but no way am i allowing my daughter to live here while i’m gone. So i turned in my orders and gave them well over a 30 days notice on move out. 15 days later i received an email stating my orders were basically fake and that they wanted to know why i had another apartment in the area lined up. I told them i needed somewhere for my belongings and i’m not leaving my stuff in their ------ apartment complex. Now, 2 weeks after moving out, literally at the apartment as i type this i received another email stating I owe them $2500 and they’re kicking me out because my military orders weren’t enough or in their eyes “real” HA. So they stated they’re going to garnish my wages and contact my command team for their wrong doings. This company is a Joke and if i could give a negative amount of stars i would. For the sake of your family, your sanity and your safety, DO NOT MOVE INTO THIS HORRID “LUXURY” APARTMENT COMPLEX. But if you do prepare to be disappointed with not only the living space, the landscaping, the ant infested mail box, but prepare for the headaches, the moving out process and the company attempting to charge you no matter what you do. Honestly this place and the management can’t suck it.

Most of the residents have dogs so it seems best to keep your distance since most are not well behaved and a couple have attempted an attack. It is noisy due to dogs barking and neighbors being rowdy. Cigarette smoke can be regularly smelled in the apartment. The security gate is always broken. There is always trash laying around the entrance of buildings. I would not recommend this location.

A fantastic experience , I have enjoyed living at BCA for the past 12 years and look forward to the future years being just as fulfilling . the complex is well kept and clean,and the office and maintinance staff are friendly & professional at all times .

The community itself looks nice and has a lot of playgrounds and walking trails that are easily navigated with a stroller, but parking is extremely limited. The "gated community" is a joke. In two years, there have been maybe 6 months total that both gates have actually been locked. Maintenance is very polite, professional, and helpful, but the office staff is the opposite as soon as you get your key. For example, during the pandemic rent moratorium, we lost one source of income, and when I went to the rental office and asked if we could pay in full one day late, we were told that a 10% late fee of the full amount would be charged, so we had to borrow money from family to pay on time. Months later, an email was sent out that stated that no late fees had been charged since the initial quarantine period, which was the exact opposite of what we were told at the time we needed help. In addition, the walls are very thin, so if you have children, be prepared for neighbor complaints over regular volumes of noise. Dogs are not cleaned up after, there are wasp nests everywhere, and the sprinklers for the grass more often than not are just blocking the sidewalks after 7pm. We intended to stay here for 5 years, but renewing our lease is definitely the worst decision we've made.

So far, I have enjoyed being here. The pools were nice and clean. The picnic areas are very nice. The trails are beautiful especially early morning. Therefore, you can watch the sunrise and listen to the birds sing. This is the place to fall in love. We thank God we're able to move here.

It's not bad living here. The staff are friendly and helpful. The residents suck because they do not clean up their pet waste and leave all their furniture at the trash site. Usually when I put in maintenance requests, they are fixed quickly, I know the pandemic is making that difficult.

This is my third stay at Brittany Commons Apartments. The community is very lovely, with activities going on to help bring people together, and the units are fairly priced for the area. I have enjoyed my stays here and often return to live here when I am in the area.

It's a nice place to hang your hat. Close to amenities and areas of interest but far enough out that you get more bang for your buck. Most apartments in the area are comparable price wise but lack the square footage offered here.

Neighbors are friendly, staff is friendly. People not picking up after their animals is a major drawback. That falls more on the public then the community though. Maintenance workers are friendly, but my request have yet to be taken care of after multiple requests?

I would recommend picking a different appartment complex . The management and employees are CROOKED . They send the COPs for everything , I don’t know if it’s because I’m black or what but I’ve had several accusations of just sitting in my car and cop roll up or having no parking when we paid 1500 to live there . They tow your car and write reserved parking in your parking spots to have reasons to tow . The appartment had black mold on the windows and they could be MUCHcleaner . Rethink your money and time coming to this place .

We have been here going on three months and we do enjoy it. There have been a few thing to bother us. The dog park gates being broken and our dogs getting out. Which has now been fixed. Some small maintenance issues that were taken care of in a timely manner. I can not complain at all about this complex. It's a nice quiet place to live.

My daughter lived there for a year while she finished her college at UMW. Switch month to month to finish the year. Now they are trying to charge her for an extra month because she had to send them a letter to formally end the lease. It was month to month. She told them in writing that she was out at the end of June. Trying to take advantage of kids. It is an outrage. They should not ruin their credit over some fine print in a contract when they were told they were leaving! Britney Commons is a nice place but is taking advantage of their lack of knowledge. I hope they will rethink this decision.

This is a quiet community with beautiful scenery. However, we have been dealing with maintenance/appliance issues since we moved in. But the office staff has been great and responsive on getting the issues fixed properly.

Like any place where you are sharing walls with other tenants, it can get a bit noisy. Fortunately, most of the people in my apartment building are courteous to one another and are not noisy beyond reasonable hours. Additionally, this community is very pet-friendly.
