Leasing office associates and staff have miserable attitudes and are exceptionally unfriendly. On the rare occasion we speak to them (usually in regards to their errors), they're condescending and never apologetic (even after realizing the errors are theirs). They send harassing letters demanding information already provided to their company (renters insurance for example) and then lose the information after we send it a second time and send more harassing letters accusing us of not having renters. We are charged ridiculous fees ? a fee to pay rent, a fee for pest control (last I checked, this is property you own and are responsible for maintaining, not me and I have never seen a single pest truck on site ? EVER) and trash pickup but the dumpsters are overflowing every week so? Maintenance here is polite but has zero respect for anyone's time. Work orders can't be submitted online and no ETA is ever provided ? they show up whenever they feel like without calling/scheduling first. And on the rare occasion 3rd party vendors are scheduled, they don't show. Is it a ploy to just be in people's homes without them present? Also assign random days and no times for "upkeep" like filters and batteries and demand pets be locked up but didn't need to be in anyone's houses during COVID to do any of those things (we did them ourselves), so not certain as to why you all feel the need now to mandate you be allowed in to do work I've already done at the expense of my rent-paying dog's comfort/safety. I mean, if she didn't pay to live here I'd say go for it but? you charge her for the space so I figure you should at least be respectful enough to not require she be locked up once a quarter for you to maybe/maybe not show up to change our filters. So, yeah, gut the leasing office and modernize your maintenance department and you may get a solid review out of me but until then: The people here are unkind, the maintenance department is straight out of the 1980s and it's trashy. Thanks for your time!

The apartments are spacious and maintenance is timely. I love the location, it's close to shopping and entertainment. The grounds are well maintained and great amenities. There are some awesome events and contests the office has to help bring the community together.

The apartment is ok, however I fail to have proper solutions whenever the attention of the administration is needed. Even after almost an year living there, I cannot log in to the system for on-line payments, and I've got no effective solution when reported this issue.

I think these are good starter apartments. Didn't have any issues my first year. I do think Maintainance should be checking to make sure they are giving keys to the right apartments though. It was kind of frightening to wake up to a video of someone trying to get into your apartment and putting their full weight into it. I do like how it is a quiet neighborhood as well.

Mngrs here are terrible. We have a long list of items for now 2 1/2 years that havent been fixed at our apt. had a live rat once that I had to pay to remove & it was proven to b caused to their neglect to seal holes around outside AC unit & mngmnt refused to remove it frm our Apt. had black mold for ovr a yr until we threatnd thm & made thm completely strip out my bthrm. had shootings, our vehicles vandalized, our vehicles broken into & they do nthng about the security here. Allow tow company to tow vehicles that are within guidelines and when brought to their attention they say unfortunately there's nothing they can do. Water bill here outrageous and when you asked them about that they send you to the utility company who the sends you right back to the front office so you never get any answers. The cost of living here is so high and for what reason to help them pay for the townhouses they just built? Children's area needs new mulch etc not safe to play on, No security, can't control utility cost that they bill you. My family and I are actively looking for a new place to live. Even the 60 day notice is outrageous. How can someone afford to move out and pay a new deposit and first months rent, year stay some place for 60 days and hold the new place as well. Insane!

Thalia Gatdens is a wonderful place to live, the office personnel and maintenance dept are great, it's home, I have been so happy here, they keep the grounds beautiful, if you call maintenance they come the same day, my air conditioner stopped working one day, I needed a new unit they couldn't get that day, so they came with a window unit to cool my house, the next day my new unit was in

The grounds are beautiful and the maintenance team is fantastic. The parking is a bit of a headache when you have guests. The neighbors are very friendly and have been helpful. The management team is very professional and very friendly

My experience has been fairly decent. This is a clean, safe place to live. It is conveniently located close to nice restaurants and shopping areas. Maintenance is very responsive and friendly. Overall I've had a good experience.

It's not a bad place to live for the most part. Maintenance is sometimes slow or doesn't show up at all and do minor repairs. For instance the bathrooms have poor ventilation especially if you have the washer and dryer in there and it caused big chunks of paint and plaster to fall off the ceiling and create mold. I put a ticket in for them to come fix it and repaint they never came out. So I still have mold on my bathroom ceiling and I've tried to clean it with bleach. Parking is horrible they allow people to have four vehicles on the property and they park in handicap and don't even display a handicap sign or plate. I've called to complain about it and they basically said they can park anywhere as long as it is not an assigned spot. These people block empty parking spots to hold them for their other vehicles or don't move their vehicles for weeks. I get it is first come first serve but I shouldn't have to walk all the way from 7/11 to my apartment because that's the only available parking. We pay too much for rent to be doing that. The pool is nice but every year they change their pool rules. Last year the kids were allowed floats and now this year they aren't. They have adult swim time and if the lifeguards go on break they make everyone get out of the pool. I can safely watch my own child I don't need a lifeguard. Most of the people who go to the pool are parents and children. So I feel these rules are unnecessary. Their pool chairs and tables are outdated and broken. As much as we pay in rent and water they should be able to afford new pool chairs and tables. Also our community front door doesn't close properly and constantly slams. My daughters bedroom is on the wall next to this door and people go in and out all throughout the day and night which wakes her up. They fixed it once and the next day it broke again. I looked at the door myself and they didn't use the proper screws for the hinges they used short screws when they should have used long screws. Also looks like the frame of the door way is too small for the door itself. Other than that I don't really have any other complaints obviously I'm still living here so it isn't too bad wish they would just fix these minor issues.

I enjoy the ability to walk the grounds and fee safe. I can walk to the gym and the pool in a few minutes no need to get into the car and drive. This is peaceful place to live your neighbors are considerate and frendly. Town Center is within walking distance or a less than five minutes drive. You are about a mile from the interstate and a short drive to the Ocean front. Management and maintenance personnel are great. I love living here.

It's a nice, quiet community. We haven't had any major issues since being here. One thing I would say is that there is NOT enough parking. If you're having visitors they'll likely have to park very far. Also, they will tow your car in a heartbeat although they don't have enough parking spaces to begin with.

Utilities are frustrating, spreading the burden amongst many people doesn't encourage saving, but assumption that others will pick up the slack, thus, the few who dont use a lot of heat or water suffer. No recycling stinks and is counter productive to being eco-friendly. My toilet has leaked since I moved in, but each time I've made a report, all I've heard was that a screw was loose and then it's leaking again the next day. Lastly, it seems negligent to vent a dryer inside. The paint had peeled off my bathroom ceiling in the months it took to revent it outside. It's not that bad though, staff has been friendly and quick to respond, and the apartment is pretty spacious and nice for the fair price.

I love the area and the apartments. The office staff is nice and maintenance responds when you have a issue. Could be a little cheaper lol but overall I love my apartment home. The rooms are spacious and the floor plan is nice. Love having a washer and driver in my apartment home.

We loved it at first until the complex was tore apart to add in town homes. The tennis court was taken away, now I have a set of town homes directly behind my balcony. The court yard in front of my complex was dug up and was wet dirt for a year, and it still looks dry and bare. The foyer had to be redone bc of water damage but the paint job looks awful while the trim was never replaced.

My overall living experience at Thalia Gardens is not very exciting. It seems like every year the rent and fees go up but there are no extra or updated amenities for us to enjoy and live here. I wish they would update the gym

I absolutely love living here. It's quiet and right outside Town Center. Any issues that I've had were always resolved quickly. Love the ladies at the front desk as they are always quick to answer any questions I have. The maintenance team is always on point with work orders. My dishwasher stopped working and I had a new one ordered and installed within a few days. My only complaint is the shared utilities, especially the water. It's gone up crazy high especially after the new townhomes were built. I've paid for my own water at other place and I've never had a bill over $60. My last month's bill here was $120 just for water! I wish we were all billed separately. Other than that, Thalia Gardens has been a lovely place to live.

I have been very happy here. The maintenance service is fast and friendly. I find the office staff knowledgeable. If I could make one request it would be an update to the fitness center. The weight station is old and missing parts but I love having a multipurpose exercise room . It's the best but let's update :)

Dear friends, Thank you very much for your inquiry! I have been very, very happy with the consistency and completeness with all the work that you, at the Nusbaum office have been pleased to confirm in business endeavors for me. Surely you know that your work is good at the corporate level, and I love your good workers at the Inverness office who excel in worthy work. The Lord protect such worthy work by the thanks of many, etc. and dam the torpedoes that bother the staff and others. Consistency and completeness of worthy service by your firm is surely known to you.--Isn't it fair for me to write such a statement? Many further favorable terms could be used concerning the name of "Helper" that is pleasantly and appropriately attributed to "You-All" A million thanks, dear ones!" While a resident at "4109," apt. 202, my life and ministry have blossomed with great note (great surprise). In my health, I have been made whole from approximately 24 medical diagnosed conditions, with application of approximately 24--sometimes dangerous--medications, as well as seeing approximately 24 doctors for my health. Now, I am free from disease of these above sort. Still, I ask for your prayers to God for me, health-wise, etc. A million thanks to God and to every helper over these Nusbaum years! (Please allow me to mention that Kathy Grier, an amazing wonder-worker in Christian ministry was a patron in Christ's extraordinary labors under great Christian leaders at Thalia Gardens Apartments years ago. She ministered at the Inverness office years in perhaps 2006.) Also, many thanks to God in His pre-eminence of blessings everywhere with His glory being of principal importance. His friend's, I beg you to receive my sincere thanks along with Him, my Lord and yours who is the head of all principality and power, Jesus Christ, the Son of God! Through God's amazing grace, I received grace and help to accomplish much in advanced study to the Ph.D. level in theology while with you at Thalia Lynn. (God receives all the glory (credit) in this! He alone is to receive such credit, as in the five solas. (The five solas (a Latin term) might be in in italics. Yet, my dear dad in heaven and I say--I think-- to my Computer Science "True Blue" Go-Blue UM-Wolverines and Mott College Bears that we make this necessary note to those denying Christ--"I don't have time to to fool with you!" (Pastor-Dad and his family, friends, with fellow ministers and saints would not grant "God speed you" (a biblical grace quotation of great importance--especially for good workers) to those who deny Christ. This, if I don't miss my guess, is not an unloving or irresponsible from my dad or me. It only means that as I follow dad in his perfect sealed lifelong labors, we give no blessing to evil work of malicious men on the Internet or anywhere. Dad was an exceeding great worker in many fields! (The five solas, above, are a brief list of all that is required in Christian motivations and accomplishments.) You were "destined to win," I think, our dear Nusbaum community at Thalia Gardens Apts. Thank you very much! God bless you! Cordially, Mark Robison, Ph.D.

The staff is wonderful! Office and maintenance!! Our 1 bedroom is spacious. On the downside ..parking is awful. No ceiling fans icemaker lights on stove. Sidewalks dangerously cracked broken. Our building is quiet..our neighbors are great! I wish utilities were included in rent for the amount of rent we pay.

Awesome maintenance; very quick and efficient. Very good grounds keeping. There are no apartments in Virginia Beach with bedrooms as large and roomy as these, you can easily put a king size bed in any bedroom in a 1, 2, or 3 bedroom apartment.
