This is my second time living at Thalia Gardens. I love the space. The rooms are all nice sizes. The bathrooms are nice. There is a washer and dryer in each unit. I really like the dining area. I like the patio and I really like that I don't have to stand in bad weather to retrieve my mail.

Not impressed with the office staff half the time, the gym is not well stocked and needs maintenance, they need a bosu ball and more equipment. The parking lot needs to be repainted and I've asked and nothing was done. The building equipment was loud and the dirt pile they left is not pleasant to look at. Office hours on the weekends aren't good. The hours for the gym aren't good. Maintenance needs to fix what they say they will fix and not just close out tickets. School busses are everywhere and are parked in spots that are hard to get around with ease and are ugly for the community. The storage is not well insulated at all.

Genuinely a nice place, great living space even for a one bedroom, one bath. a few car break ins, can hear the upstairs neighbors 24/7, everyone pretty much keeps to themselves with the occasional hi.

Well maintained area with top quality office and maintenance staffs. I particularly enjoy the reserved parking spaces. Always know that I will have a space near my residence regardless of the time of day I arrive.

Everyone at the office is very friendly. There wasn't any confusion with the move in process. I was even encouraged to complete a walkthrough before signing the lease. The community is very quiet and close to town center. No complaints

I really like my apartment. It's spacious, bug free, I don't really hear my neighbors (I'm upstairs though). I would say maintenance is OK. they will go through periods where they take longer to address issues. But ultimately they get things done and are friendly. The only thing I don't like about this community is the gym needs some updates, but that's minor. Ultimately I would recommend this neighborhood and plan to stay for a while.

Pool is nice. Tons of problems with the apartment itself and the main problem still isn't fixed after months of waiting. Nice sidewalks. Front office staff aren't the friendliest. Maintenance people are always nice.

The community at thalia is very nice looking. From the beginning I had a bad feeling about renting with them. The first issue was we were not allowed to tour our unit prior to move in date, upon move in there was black/ Grey all over the airvent which as a first time apartment renter we thought it was just dust. Sadly in October we realized our unit had a leaking vent which caused mold in the ceiling of our linen closet. I also developed bronchitis after living in these conditions for 4 months. Maintenence was quick to bleach and spray white paint over it. I was told a contractor would come take a look. Two weeks went by never heard anything back from maintenence or management. We would rate thalia a 6/10.

The townhome neighbors and their pets are amazing. We are a close knit community and all meet in the courtyard to play with dogs and the kids play a lot together as well. The pool is fun, when it opens on time or the lifeguard shows up. There is also a nice playground for kids in an apartment courtyard. The maintenance team keeps it clean and are very responsive to our requests as the buildings are old and have issues at times. U fortunately, as in any community, there are always bad seeds. People that rev their vehicles or drive too fast thru. Also those that don't pick up after their dogs, ever, even if confronted. The place is generally quiet but the apartment complexes on both sides of our community are not as nice and have police calls and shootings. There is crime and cars are rummaged thru all the time. The construction has been never ending adding more townhouses that are over priced and have no privacy and are now blocking views, surrounded by apartments

Absolutely wonderful when I first moved in during 2020, however; since 2022, there has been an increase of safety concerns which more security personnel should be in place. There has been an increase in foot traffic.

It is a quiet and great community! Maybe a little more focus on renovations since it is an older complex! I also it seems to be over priced for a complex that has been here since the 70's. Overall I'm satisfied with the location and all the business close by.

There's mold in my apartment. The paint is cracking and chipping. Water stains keep popping up on the ceiling. My neighbors are VERY loud at all hours of the day and nothing is done about it. i have asked to be transferred multiple times with no response. It's always "no manager available"

I think everything was all good, except for some poops from the birds everywhere in the parking lots. Please solve this problem, and I think one of the running machines in the gym is not working properly.

I only have 2 complaints. 1. My upstairs neighbor yells and plays musical instruments all throughout the night. 2. No one ever answers the office phone durning business ours and often don't return calls even when I leave a voice mail.

Our overall stay has been good and great for our kids except for the recent rent increase and all the extra charges that have been added. This increase has forced us to make this our last year here. We were hoping to stay another year or two, but just can not keep up with recent increases. This has been a great place and really like this area.

Experience was great the first year but has gone downhill. Everyone's experience is different so you would have to find out for you're. I would give it another chance in the future if I were in a pinch.

Overall the experience has been good, however there are some things that need to change. Such as parking. Assigned parking needs to be enforced without residents having to enforce themselves. Also, thr gym situatin is starting to become a problem. It needs to be expanded but the apartment complex has not made an effort to expand or fix the broken machinry such as the treadmill that has been broken since 2018

Friendly and peaceful the people are really nice and kind. The neighborhood is well kept and the neighbors speak all the time. I love seeing everyone walk their dogs in the community. And the maintenance people are helpful.

Everything is ok but the quality of the apartments are not worth the rent amount being charged. These apartments could go for $1500 and no more than $1600 for a 3 bedroom. The neighborhood has been getting increased violence and I am looking into breaking my lease and returning back to Florida. Neighbors allow their pets to poop in the grass and do not pick up behind them. The best thing about this neighborhood however, is that it is kid friendly. I have toddlers and find them running throughout the house however the neighbors below us do not complain as she stated her children were once that age and did the same thing. Overall, my experience aside from the high expensive price to rent there is good.

Maintenance is great! Landscaping is very nice. Office staff needs some customer service training Especially Callie the manager. Otherwise I have been satisfied at Thalia Gardens for the last five years I have lived here.

Thalia Garden Apartments is a beautiful and a well-maintained property. Nestled between Virginia Beach Boulevard and Interstate 264, the neighborhood is often quiet and rarely experiences anything out of the ordinary. The complexes are a bit old, but you will rarely find something so affordable worth every penny you spend. The Maintenance Team is remarkable. They are always responsive, friendly, and effective. The front office does their best, but can sometimes fall short. We have had issues with multiple incidents involving noise levels. The front office rarely takes steps beyond calling the residents to keep it down even though the repeated incidents violate the tenants lease agreements. Despite this issue, we have really appreciated our time at Thalia Gardens!

The leasing agents are great. But the issues I've had at the complex . I would not recommend this complex to anyone. I had a gas leak on move in day and the washer was not working, there were no shelves in my linen closet or a rod to hang a curtain in my shower and the sliding back door was broken. All of the issues were eventually fixed but the washing machine continues to have to be fixed for leaking water and wetting the carpet, the sliding door broke again, and maintenance continues to "patch" the issue up instead of getting to the real problem. It's very annoying and frustrating having constant problems.

I have had a pretty good experience from the beginning until there became lack of communication with the shootings in the area, lack of lighting in the back area, no security and poor communication from management

Thalia Gardens is a nice complex. Maintenance is pretty good and completing all requests in a timely manner. The rental office is open 7days a week. Only down side is ceiling is old/outdated/weak/thin/bad (whatever word you want to use) you hear everything footstep of the upstairs unit. I live on the first floor and it often keeps me up due their being kids and a dog up there and me being a normally quite person. I often think someone is in the apartment with me due to how bad the ceilings are. Other than the ceilings I do truly LOVE my apartment.
