So far so good ??. Two years with no complaints. I like that the management team responds personally and they also have community events for the complex to engage in. Also we are notified when something happens like an elevator is down or in use or when the office is closed.

It's expensive for what you get. There needs to be an easier way for deliveries to get in the building, like access at every elevator. The elevators keep going down and the trash rooms always overflow and are disgusting. Same with the trash near the elevators.

I love how walkable the apartments are to pretty much anything you need. I live alone with my daughter and I love how secure the building feels, doors inside and multiple key points. I'm the 3 years I've lived here I haven't had any issues with noise complaints and all of my neighbors have been fun respectful people.

If you work for Boeing it might be great for the convenience however security/safety concerns are an issue as my car was broken into behind the "secured garage" and the security you call to report things... doesn't answer the phone - it'll just ring and ring. Hallways and carpeting are old and dirty and needs a face lift which I think is finally coming later this year. Also, if you're a light sleeper (I'm not) but there's a train that goes by every morning around 2:30 AM and honks multiple times...many community members complain about this being an issue and waking up in the middle of the night. Cost of the apartment isn't worth the value given. My rent has gone up over $350/mos the past 4 years for the same unit so they don't really value long term tenants.

The experience was great. All staff were knowledgeable and very friendly! The apartment was clean and all appliances in great working condition. It is always quiet no matter day or night. It's been a very pleasant experience.

Pros - Relatively Quiet - you never hear your neighbors but can sometimes hear people in hallway - you do hear 405 all the time -Convenient Location -Office staff is nice (although not always helpful) Cons -Extremely dirty stairwells, hallways, and parking garage. They are pet friendly, which is awesome if the owners cleaned up, but there was often urine, feces, and vomit frequently in the hallways and stairs. The whole place smells poorly on the inside and often had to frequently step over yellow puddles of urine or throw up(Im assuming the throw up was mostly from drunks). The messes were never cleaned up and just left to dry up - THIS IS INSIDE LIVING AREAS! Pretty poor for how much you are paying -Will ALWAYS charge $85 for carpet cleaning - so you dont get security deposit back. I cleaned the place well and they were kind enough to take half off the cleaning but they still charged $70 to essentially clean. Id recommend taking pictures when you first move in and when you move out - you will DEFINITELY need them as they try to charge you EXTRA upon moving out. -Inside entrance. This might be a pro for some people but I prefer not feeling like I am living in a hotel. -Elevators break down once a month and are slow. I rarely used them for that reason - plus always good to use the stairs and to exercise :) -Parking garage doors non-functional - not frequent but took several weeks for them to fix -Car was broken into first night there. Admittedly my own fault. I probably parked in someone else's spot because they didnt tell me what spot was mine at the leasing office. I had to call them and ask. Overall, I tolerated living there but would NEVER move back. I have lived in five different apartment complexes - 3 of them were AWESOME and this was not one of them. Not the worst one Ive lived in but definitely the 2nd worst. I would NOT recommend to anyone unless they have a bunch of money to kill and work at Boeing. There are much nicer and cheaper facilities in the area.

It is a great location. Nice grounds, beautiful apartments. But the property management company is worthless. The current assistant manager never has any answers. For example...they gave permission for a tenant on the 1st floor to have a smoker/bbq. But, every time he uses it, it fills my apt with smoke. Making it impoasible to be in my apartment with my 5month baby girl, whenever they decide to bbq we literally have to leave our ( sometomes as early as 8am) I called the assistant manager and he's reply "what would you like me to do about it"? And they suggest I talk to him myself... WELL WTF DO I PAY YOU FOR??? APARTMENTS PHYSICALLY ARE GREAT. AMAZING LOCATION BUT THE ABSOLUTE WORAT PROPERTY MANAGEMENT EVER

What I love best about living at the sanctuary is its walkability and convenience to everything I need and want to do (besides going to work!) There are diverse restaurants, bars, medical buildings, shopping, spa and luxury locations, groceries, technology stores, and even Lowe's in walking distance. To get a personal trainer you don't even need to leave the building!!! They have a program that provides certified personal trainers to teach individual and group classes at all varying levels of fitness without even having to put on a jacket or find a parking spot. I have not seen that anywhere else. The management is friendly and efficient, the maintenance requests get finished promptly, and the inside of the apartments are cute and clean. I have recommended this to so many people after initially being recommended from several coworkers.

They cannot let me move in on agreed date because their service is doen. They also do not provide any ETA on when I can move in. I have to cancel all my appointments with moving comapny and find a temporary place to stay & store my items.

This place has been my WORST experience ever. The management staff aren't helpful and try to rob your money. I paid almost $5000 ($3000 termination fee, $1700 rent, and $200 cleaning fee) before I moved out from this place. There's garbage all over the parking lot and filthy smells everywhere.

DO NOT MOVE HERE, THEY ROB YOU OF YOUR MONEY! I actually liked living here until I moved out. I am a travel RN and move every 3-6 months so I signed my lease to end September 5th not knowing that I still had to give them a 20 days notice that I was leaving. So a couple days before my move out date, I went to the office and asked Nichelle, one of the girls in the office what I had to do to move out and she told me to just leave the keys on the counter, NEVER mentioning that I hadn't given the notice yet (that I didn't know I had to do). So I paid my rent for September and then realized hey, I shouldn't have to pay the entire month since I've only been living here for 5 days of the month. Nope! Still have to pay the entire months rent (which is way over priced to begin with) even though I'm not living there. I think it is absolutely ridiculous, talk about throwing your money away and NO ONE was helpful in the office they were just like sorry, nothing we can do. Nichelle even told me it was all miscommunication!! Well if it is her fault too, I shouldn't be charged an entire months rent!! t'm sure they do this all the time to scam money out of people. I think they are a disgusting company and I would highly recommend renting elsewhere. Also, the appliances were always broken and the elevator was terrible. The location is nice but you can totally live in other great locations for cheaper and a genuine company that cares about their tenants. I have lived a lot of places and never had to give a notice like this and never have been treated like this. Look elsewhere, the Reserve is an awful company!

I lived in a one bedroom, one bath. Bathroom was fabulous! Bedroom was great...could have used a walk-in closet...especially considering the price I paid for rent. Super secure--two deadbolts, gated garage/parking. Close to amenities and our busy freeways. The negatives: out-of-state tenants didn't like to have to put their windows down to be bothered to use their key fob to get in...so they'd come flying in behind me, flash their headlights and then flip-out if I didn't let them in (I don't know you...for all I know, you are the one who broke into my car!). Elevators are sooooooo slooooooooowwwww! I took the stairs and still beat people that waited for the elevator. The people who work the office are really kind...but one of the managers was extremely rude when I scheduled my walk-through/check-out after rent went up and I had a hard time affording this place on a teacher's salary. They scheduled my walk-through/check-out a day after my lease-end date. (I had already been moved out three days earlier). They then charged me a day's rent as the check-out day was a day after my lease-end date. I contested it, politely, twice, and both times I was ignored. Further, only a few days after I moved in, maintenance came in to attach a molding that had been above my living room window. They did a great job...but one of my best pieces of cutlery went missing. :( This IS a great location and a quality place. Hope you are tolerant of cigarette smoke, however, when you open your windows/deck door (no screen door!) you get all of your neighbor's second hand smoke. This is not a place for locals.

The 2 bedroom apartment I'm currently living in is hands down the worst apartment I've ever rented, and is literally twice as expensive and smaller than anything I've ever lived in before. The rates here are so high, you can live in Seattle proper for about the same cost. The first person I met from the staff that expressed ANY interest in addressing my concerns about the in-building noises was a random maintenance employee. The hammering and drilling noises inside the building are still mysterious, as nobody would tell me what they were from or when they would stop. It's been going on for a week for 8-10 hours every day, and the noise level is actually louder than the max volume on any of my TVs or speakers. The trash is frequently overflowing from the chutes, which makes the hallway reek of refuse for hours to days at a time. The elevators break frequently, the staff is never particularly helpful, and the incessant revving of engines outside the building make the whole living situation here miserable. That's not to mention the building being constructed across the street that creates constant, incredibly loud noise levels for upwards of 8 hours every single day. In short, unless you're renting for someone you hate, find somewhere else. You WILL regret moving in here.

I have lived at the Sanctuary apartments for almost 2 years now and it has been great up until recently. The new management that has taken over the complex is TERRIBLE! They have raised the rent considerably but the apartments need updated. The staff is unbelievably rude and unhelpful. I would not recommend this apartment complex to anyone!

My boyfriend and I moved into these apartments back in April. It has literally been the BEST decision we have ever made. We LOVE living here. We had been living in Auburn for about a year, after relocating here from the East Coast. I work in Bellevue and he works in Auburn, and Renton is the best possible option for us. In a perfect world, we would love to live in Downtown Seattle, but costs and commutes make this an unreasonable option for us. We found the Reserve to be the perfect mix of everything we wanted in a place. There is a good amount of bus transportation nearby. So much so, that I got rid of my car and we are down to 1 vehicle. I don't miss it at all, it's great. Plus, almost everything I need is within walking distance at the Landing. I wish there were a few more options at the landing, but still it's really nice. Parking is awesome, some of the best in the region that I've seen. You receive 1 spot for free (in a 1 bedroom, not sure about multiple bedrooms). It's assigned parking inside the garage that only residents have access to). It's so nice to not have to search for parking, or park a million miles away from your place. I think we may have lucked out with our apartment floorplan and location. We don't have air conditioning, but we do have ceiling fans. Trust me when I say, they make a WORLD of difference. With the windows open and the ceiling fans on, we mostly never have an issue of being too hot. We do have an additional fan in the bedroom... but it's still not as bad as the last place we lived. We get enough sunlight during the day so that it doesn't feel like a dark, damp place. But not so much that the apartment turns into a hot box. We keep commenting on how we can't believe how comfortable the temperature has been in an apartment without air conditioning. Perhaps that will change as the summer continues, but so far, so good! Another thing we think we lucked out with in our apartment location is noise. Our apartment is located right next to the elevator, but I never hear anything. We don't have any neighbors on either side of us, but I never hear anything from above or below. Even when all of the other apartments have their doors open on hot days, I still don't hear anything too crazy or unexpected. We had a few walls painted by the complex, which was so great. For the first time in the past 5 years of apartment living, I feel like I'm home! We feel settled. It was only $75 a wall, and they painted it... and will paint it back when we move out. I've seen other places do this, but they usually offer really ugly colors. This is the first complex I've seen that offered colors I would actually use! I think the people in the office are great, they are super friendly. They always seems to be offering some sort of special building event. Last month it was an Italian dinner. Yum :-) Overall, I just feel like this apartment is the BEST apartment I have ever lived in (and I've lived in quite a few... trust me). It has the best layouts, the best amenities, the best location (for us), the best parking situation. Sure, there are things that aren't perfect about it... but overall I feel like this is as close as you can get to apartment perfection. We are so glad we moved here, and hoping that we wont' have to leave anytime soon!

Make sure you put in a work order for every single defect no matter how minor it may seem! Otherwise they will make you liable for it and slap you with a hefty bill at the end of your lease! Also document everything in your move in condition form. I was a resident here for nearly 2 years till July 2014. Everything was fine until I moved out. I've received a move-out bill close to $1500 claiming that there is water damage and they need to replace the kitchen counter top and couple of cabinet doors and drawers. How the heck the counter top gets damaged from water?! The counter top is not made of real wood. It is made for low quality card board like material. Water can seep in and swell it out. If you notice that, make sure you make them replace it, otherwise they will bill you for it claiming that you induced the damage! I've noticed the cabinet doors near the kitchen sink peeling away in a month or so of our stay. I didn't put in a work order thinking this is a normal wear and tear. End of our stay, they sent us bill saying I need to pay for all the drawers. This is extortion! Luckly, I've had renters' insurance which paid for most of it otherwise I was ready to take this to small claims court. Look at the pictures I took during our move out day of the kitchen sink area and see if you find a swelling large enough where they claim to replace the counter top for $1038.00!.

The Reserve may be a pretty penny, but the staff have done their part in making it so worth it! This is some of the best management I have ever had and the gals here are amazing. They care about their tenants and will do what they can to please. So happy to be a resident here and just resigned our lease. Thank you to Courtney and her amazing staff!

I recently visited the reserve in search of an apartment and was very shocked at the lackluster attitudes of the office staff. The leasing person seemed more interested in her phone than helping me and the manager walked right past me without even asking if I needed help. I basically had to announce my presence to get any service. The apartments are great but I was not impressed by the office staff.

Reviewers often comment on the elevator speeds, but if you have an ounce of patience and aren't constantly in a rush it's really no issue.

Likes and Dislikes: The location and community are a the beginning of how great the Reserve is to call home. We've lived here for 6 months and fortunately haven't experienced anything negative. If we've had any questions the leasing office crew has always been helpful. Upon moving in we read a lot of reviews on The Reserve and were a little help up with the amount of reviews complaining about noise but in 6 months we have not one complaint about noise. Other than the rare group of hallway passerby's we hear nothing, even with our patio door open during the summer season. I highly recommend any potential renters :)

I can hear WAY too much of my neighbors and their pets. I really wish that there were sections of the building dedicated to pet-friendly or pet-free zones. I'm not opposed to pets by any means but I really don't like to listen to constant barking early in the morning. I do wish that the main office was open longer. I have never lived in a place with such short hours. Anyone with a typical work week is stuck with the weekend hours which are just so short. Plus those are busy times for apartment hunting so they are usually busy. I don't need to go often but for package pick ups, it would be nice to have an alternative. It would be fantastic if the gym was open 24/7!

Likes and Dislikes: I appreciate the covered, indoor parking. Most places charge extra for something like that. I think that it is secure and I have never worried about my safety. The residents I have met here have all been very friendly and courteous. The proximity to the restaurants, shopping, freeway etc. is also really great.
