We just moved here to Brookside 112 last week and couldn't be happier! Homes are big and clean, community and set up are awesome and great friendly staff. Melanie helped us with our application which making it quick and smooth, and welcoming us making us feel like family from day 1. You can tell the staff here care about the apartments and residents that reside here. I would recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a place to call home in the Vancouver area!

I have lived in apartment complexes my whole adult life. I have lived in many states as well, so my view of apartment communities is not limited to comparing one or two places. I moved to this complex almost five years ago, and I have to say that this is one of the (Very Best) apartment communities I have ever lived in. They do re-modeling of apartment interiors. The buildings have had all of the roofs re-shingled, and at this time they are re-siding the building's exteriors, and will soon paint the outside of each building in our community. Something is always being done to make the community look better. We have the Security Company that patrols at night and makes it a safer place to live. The Maintenance Staff is awesome. They work so hard all day long, and sometimes into the night. Every time I have had a maintenance problem, The crew is fast to make repairs or assist with any issue. A complex this size can't run well with out good Leasing Office Staff Members and at Brookside 112 the Office Management Team is just amazing. They are so friendly and any time I have an issue come up, they are quick to lend a hand and they keep working at it until the problem is solved. Special Kudo's to Melanie, Dana, Melinda and Veronica. You make Brookside 112 a nice and friendly place to live.

My experience with this complex was astronomical. Ms. Veronica and Ms. Melanie went above and beyond to not only make sure I got the apartment that I wanted, but at a price that I can afford. They had patience and even stayed passed working hours to insure I had a place to live! Now that's what I call great customer service.

I used to rent from these apartments when it was evergreen park years ago. I came back now it is Brookside 112. Melanie helped me through the while process and was very attentive to what I was looking for. She's been nothing except helpful. To be honest, the whole staff here is amazing now and I'm grateful the management was switched. They're all ready to help and maintenance is rather prompt. I used to have a parking issue before, now, Brookside has taken much needed measures and there's a lot more available now.

Melinda and veronica are wonderful they took time to make sure everything was perfect and that our move would go smoothly. They also took time to explain everything to us and treated us like family not like just another tenant! I would recommend this property to anybody that would like to move to a wonderful property with terrific staff and awesome maintenance! !!!! Keep up the great work...

My boyfriend and I rented from Evergreen Apartments when it changed owners & names to Brookside 112. It was really the worst apartment we have ever rented. Though the insides were nice and the upgrades we're great. The area was terrible. We thought the close proximity to the 500 would be great but there were car break in's weekly on the property and then a shooting in the complex across the street. Add in the constant of the trash compactor being full and discusting from lousy neighbors and maintenance having to be called for the same thing multiple times. Nothing big but it's not too much to ask for a heater to work. Finally we just bought a plug in. We've always been good low key renters but we couldn't wait to get out of this hell hole. Not to mention the numerous times that I or my boyfriend would be in the office and overhear the manager and staff bad mouthing and using the foulest of language about residents. If you don't like your job why are you in it? I would never live here again or recommend it to my worst enemy. No one should be treated that way.

Melanie, the Leasing Agent at Brookside 112 Apt. Complex, is a very professional property mgt. person who from the beginning tour thru the leasing process explaining everything with ease and making the entire experience a very positive thing done in an expeditious manner. Kellan, the Maint. Supv. also was a great help with Melanie, during the "walk-thru"! They are great compliments to their professional property management Staff.

The best overall experience I've ever had moving into a community. Melanie and Melinda couldn't have been more helpful in the process and me and my son were just overwhelmed with the support that we had from the staff. What was a very stressful time turned into an easy and joyful experience. If you're looking for a nice place to live with a staff that goes above and beyond the call of duty, this is the place for you. Melanie and Melinda you guys are ROCK STARS!!!!! From my family to yours, thank you!

We only moved in a few months ago but Melinda at the front desk helped us get all of our paperwork together to make our application process really fast. Got approved the same day and got our keys next! Melinda is very sweet and is always there to help and answer questions, even seeing her out and about she'll say hi.

Pets are certainly allowed, I counted 8 piles of dog crap on my walk from my door to my car. I could hear my upstairs neighbors peeing in their bathroom, the walls were so thin. Completely bogus move out charges! I cleaned meticulously before moving out, I even pulled out the dryer to sweep behind it and was still charged $70 in "cleaning fees" plus $300 to paint. I have no idea what on earth they think needed painting! I had items stolen off my patio, including a bike that was locked up. Parking is impossible, I frequently had to park across the street in the grocery parking lot.

Worst place to live! No parking what so ever, trash is so far away you have to drive there. Management do not know what they are saying- every time I ask them something I get different answer. They told me I can pay rent online but forgot to mention it will be $40 more. The units are nice and big but be prepared to hear everything your next door (upstairs or downstairs) neighbors are doing. I would rather sleep in my car than to live there again!

Don't give these people your money you will never see any reward from it. We applied and put down a REFUNDABLE $200 holding deposit, and after seeing that they were going to charge us over 2,000 to move in (we have excellent credit and fantastic renters history) because they wouldn't properly verify our last residence and said we had late credit cards, which was a lie. we decided to go somewhere with reasonable move in fees. (who properly verified our residence and that late credit card mysteriously vanished) They kept the $200 because all the sudden it was a non-refundable 72 hour holding fee, even though it took them 4 days to process our applications. These people are shady and just want every penny from you that they can get their hands on, don't even apply and don't waist a year of your life on this place. This horrible experience just ended up costing us $350 dollars for nothing. So thank you Evergreen Park for showing us your true colors before we made the mistake of actually signing a lease and being stuck here for a year.

YOU SHOULD NEVER MOVE TO THIS PLACE. I lived there for 2 years I can say this place is really horrible place, why? First they don't have enough parking for guest if you have uncover parking you have more trouble, because somebody parks in your space and you need to call the patrol then wait for about 1 hour and then they call the tow then wait 1 hour more to move the car. My husband and I had the same problem at least 3 days a week it is awful. Second they permit a lot of dogs that isn't the problems the thing is that the people leave the poo there. Third the people in the office change a lot and their always angry. The maintenance manager called josh is an unfriendly person. Fourth it was my terrible situation, when I was about to leave I cleaned the apartment the best I could, but when Josh came to see it he said it wasn't enough and that they need it to clean again and charged me a lot money. I know they want to keep my deposit and if possible more. I feel terrible with these thief people.

WARNING: I found this complex online and it looked very nice. On another site, it was rated as 4 stars. I called and emailed several times and the staff seemed friendly over the phone and did respond to my emails. Today I notified them that I had a day off and would stop by to view an apartment. I specifically asked if there was any time during the day they were not available - they said no. I drove from PDX in terrible traffic and arrived around 1:30 to find a hand-written sign in the door saying: "Training 1:30 to 2:30". When I called later in the day, Kim told me that she had shown me an apartment. When I countered that I had not been able to get into the office because of the training, she kept repeating that she had seen me and shown me an apartment. I am surmising she was saying this because the phone call was being recorded. In any case, based on my initial contact with her, I am calling to complain FPI, the corporate management company, Monday morning. If she did talk with me and show me an apartment, I believe she will have the documentation to prove it, right?

After living at this complex for two year. Every single month I paid on time, never paid after the first of the month. Now I move out because I hated the apartments a lot of crime around. My second year there a shooting happened right outside my bedroom. I really do not recommend this place. At the end when you move out after paying your 500 dollar deposit they still still charge you a lot more extra money. You might be like me and not believe the reviews at first, but trust me when you start living there and move out you will believe all reviews.

Noise here is like living in a dorm. There are a few folks in the office who are decent, but a few who are condescending and snarky. They're generally lazy and utterly disinterested in providing any meaningful service. The management company charges $ to send you a bill. Ludicrous.

ask me! I live there for several years, they have change management often but this one is the worst... I have to move because I could not stand any more the ridiculous changes they have done, also people from the office and maintenance change a lot since they took place, The employees can't stay happy so they just quit or change places I had seen a bunch of new faces coming and go in that management, i'm glad I move out, the period grace of time for rent is to short and if you try to make any arrangement they excuse their their self with the phrase "we are under equal housing opportunity" we have to treat every one the same and we can't extend any privileges to no one, so if you have and emergency and for some reason unable to pay on time they are not flexible!! the place have a lot of mold even they are trying to fix the outside it still bad, they need to be more flexible and have more tact regarding payments always attach a notification and treating you with the lease agreement very aggressive approach there are no friendly notifications or friendly remainder every notifications is upsetting practically saying if you don't pay your water or rent on time you will be evicted :( , they said that water is separated from them but if you are late then get a bad note saying something about eviction using phrases like you are in a delinquent account because you are late and you agree to pay, trash is always accumulated in the weekends an just one compactor that if you live far from it and is raining you will end having an issue because is far from you. parking is always bad and noise after hours, that they don't address just tell ya to call a phone number with "0" results. I feel so sorry for my neighbor that is still there trying to move but with this economy wont be able and have to be paying more money on fees because one check bounce for reasons that where out of their power and this people just make them pay with money order all payments now including a high fee. I just hope he can move soon or this people the management do something to help all them being more flexible but I doubt it. well good luck to all those who dare rent there. just reading the User Ratings and Review Submission Terms of Use they are trying to intimidate the reviewer from leaving any negative review how convenient! ;( i submit this review on their site and I bet ya is not going to be available!

I read the reviews and thought maybe it was just certain individuals who had difficulty with this complex. Nope. Management is by far the worst aspect of these apartments, although there are many grievances with this place. Like other reviewers have noted, she will throw you under the bus any opportunity she gets. While im not allowed to use names, pick up their business cards and look up their personal facebook pages to see the level of intelligence/professionalism you will be dealing with. When it comes to running the place, the manager is the head honcho, but it you have a problem that you want resolved, she "doesn't make the rules" and will gladly chow down on sandwich while you're trying to get answers. Extremely rude! What is technically a 'deposit' is actually a fee in reality, so don't expect to get that back. No matter how much you clean, you will be getting a cleaning fee for hundreds of dollars after you move out. You have to sign a release of responsibility for the mold that grows inside of the poorly sealed windows and you will have to pay for mold cleaning too. So basically they know mold grows everywhere there but they still want to blame you for their shoddy construction. Dont be fooled by the pictures on the website, just like a mcdonalds cheeseburger, the complex will never look as good. They claim water is based upon usage, so somehow myself and other tenants must be using the same exact amount as our bills were identical down to the penny. After half a year of paying pet rent they did an inspection, informed me that they found evidence of a pet and tried to add an additional pet rent which I flat out refused to pay. They should pay tenants a stray fee for all the mangy cats that occupy the property. When I was in the office to request a copy of my file, I received my file which also contained personal information (including social security #) of another tenant. I should have kept that instead of correcting their mistake and maybe I would have more leverage dealing with these people. They never sent my move out fees and I first learned of the ludicrous charges from a debt collection letter and now I have to pay to save my credit even though I was a responsible tenant over the course of my residence. DO NOT GET SUCKERED INTO THIS APARTMENT COMPLEX! It is super easy to get an apartment their but it is not so easy to leave. If you do move in, I hope you only have 1 car because you only get 1 space and you WILL NOT find parking anywhere near your apartment. If you like drugs, this is a convenient complex as you will only have to walk to your neighbor's apartment to get them. Bottom line: a run down complex, not worth the money or the hassle.

This place completely sucks. It has black mold growing in all apartments. saying that black mold is normal. well it is not. they are small apartments, with out of date carpet, blinds and appliances that they try to claim are new. the staff is rude and completely unhelpful in any situation. there is no parking for people with more than 1 car. I have lived in very big cities and not once has anything gotten broken in to. at these apartments it happens all the time. more neighbors and myself have lost things. DO NOT chose this apt to live in. go somewhere else. you will not like it at all. safer for you and your family as well as better for you sanity. when you try to leave they try and charge you for anything and everything no matter how clean you leave things.

They dont make enough space to write all that is wrong.... I am so glad I am moving, my upstairs and side neightbor has already gotten out.... If you move here you do at your own risk.... your car or truck will be stollen or broken into... its just a matter of time. I have been here almost 2 years and have seen 5 cars stollen and 4 cars broken into and that is only in my small section of the complex. If you have a dog some people pay a deposit and others do not they just get away with it. They do nothing to enforce the dog poop all over the place. I would think that 7 people living in a one bed one bath apartment is against the houseing laws, even though the complex knows they do not care ... just get the rent. The biggest things for me is that the complex has know idea what customer service is. After spending 25 years as a vice president of a customer service industry I think I know what I am talking about. DO NOT RENT HERE...DO NOT RENT HERE....DO NOT RENT HERE

I've been here for 2 years now, to be honest I don't see any thing big that happens around this apt complex. My apt is on the outer side and I haven't had a problem with anyone here its actually pretty quite not a bunch of kids running wild. I mind my own business and live my life. I don't know my down stairs neighbor but she is really nice in passing, everyone is pretty much. At first one or two of the girls in the office were a ----- I just matched them ----- for ----- and that was the end of that. My apt was clean when I moved in new carpets and floors, no bugs at all. When I needed maintenance I called the office put in a work order and they can and fixed it.They inspect the apt a couple times a year to make sure people arn't tearing them up and to make sure your fire alarms and hot water heaters are working properly their nothing wrong with that. I will say the parking does ------- suv has taken a beating, the parking spots are to close together and not enough of them you only get one designated parking spot doesn't matter if more than one person in the home drives or not. However each time Ive renewed my lease they've raise my rent. This time they raised my rent and took away the the tanning bed :( I've decided to move I have a 2bd/2ba because I went month to month I now have to pay $100 dollars per month on top of the rent increase mu rent for this place is $965.00 that includes the garage I have to pay $70 a month for. All in all, it was ok.
