If I could do it all over again, I would not live here!
To be completly honest, this was by far the worst apartment complex I have ever occupied. From our move in day I should have seen it coming, when there were no parking spots. We had numerous problems at this complex that most likely could have been fixed relatively easily, but the service was just awful. And not only was the staff bad about returnin phone calls or maintenance issues, they were not educated on current issues regarding the apartment either. The community had an outside company supply T1 internet service, and upon moving out I wanted to return my modem to the company and the office acted as if i were speaking a foreign language.

Anyway to keep it short...
1) We had termites...took 3 weeks to fix.
2) My car was vandalized...2500 dollars damage.
3) I called the office 8 times about my rent once without recieving one call back.
4) Maintenance took at least a week too fix problems, on average.
5) You can hear other tenants through the walls more so than anywhere I have ever lived.
6) The outside lights do not operate at all at night, little unsafe to me.
7) The pools are very dirty and not cleaned often at all.
8) It took 3 months to fix an outside lamp once.

Anyway I am going to complain to BRE corporate, and I just hope others have a better experience.

Don't move here
I am not a resident and will not ever be one. The staff is rude, especially Leah. I went in for info and a tour and found her offputting. She hesitated to answer any of my questions and when she did it was with an unpleasant tone in her voice. Also, the great deals I heard about on the phone are only available on one or two of the apartments located in the worst part of the complex...overlooking the noisy I-10 freeway.

This complex looks nice from the outside, but it isn't that great and the staff bites, except for Jackie.

Incredibly bad service
I recently moved out of this complex, and not a moment too soon. I've never in my life encountered such a rude and badly trained office staff, especially for how expensive the place is. The apartments are beautiful, but God help you if you have to interact with the staff. Upon move-in, it took almost 2 months to get the rusty and damaged screen door replaced. While living there, my car was stolen, and the staff couldn't have been more hostile about it. I was constantly ignored when I came into the office, whether to pay rent, pick up packages, or ask a question. For the first six months, the rent constantly "changed," so every time I went in to pay I had to bring my lease. In short, DO NOT RENT HERE unless you enjoy being hassled or ignored.

DO NOT Rent Here!
The staff here is very rude and acts like it is a hassle to do anything for you as a tenant. The Manager Robin is never accessible and the asst. manager Peggy is very difficult to work with. We always had plumbing problems (see other reviews) and maintenance was very slow at best to respond to requests.

Go ahead and live here... but beware when you move out!
We really had minimal problems when we lived here for 14 months (minus the fact that they tried overcharging us for 2 months until we brough our lease payment to their attention!) But when we moved out... we got slapped with a ton of UNWARRANTED charges. We had some minor spots on the carpet that we were expecting to pay but did not expect the outrageous number that the staff pulled out of their @$$! They also overcharged us $60 for the water bill... which we already paid! So... if you get a bill from these unethical leesors, make sure you run it over with a fine tooth comb!

ups and downs
I have lived at PSM since November of 2003. Overall, I really like living here, and so far I've been lucky as far as the noise levels of my neighbors. I really don't think you can hate a community based on noise levels because really that mostly has to do with who you happen to live next to.

I really like the vaulted ceilings in my apartment, the big windows, the 2 ceiling fans, the large balcony, the huge bathroom and ample closet space. I also like the modern look of the appliances. Most of the staff is pretty helpful with the exception of Mike and Rachele. I haven't seen Rachele around lately, so hopefully she isn't there anymore.

I can only think of 3 things that bother me about this communuity, and one of them is pretty minute: the sprinklers. They usually come on at night, and there is no way to get around them without getting wet when leaving or coming back to my place. I don't understand why they can't put them on the grass only. Who needs to water the sidewalks?

My second complaint is the parking. My spot is reasonably close to my place, but really there are many spots that are closer. Also, it's a pain to park because of the poles that you can hit your car door into. It's a catch-22 because you either park too close to the pole, or you have to worry about the person next to you banging their door into your car.

My third complaint is the exercise room. It really needs some updated cardio equipment. The treadmill and elliptical machine are old, and the weights are minimal. They could really do a lot more with that space. Put the video machine in the hallway, and add some better equipment.

IT'S AIN'T ALL BAD.....
My husband and I have lived here since March of this year. We moved here because of the location and the grounds/views. All apartment complexes have maintenance problems. You'd be foolish to think it should be perfect. We may not be overly impressed with BRE Services (maintenance people), but at least they do their best to fix the problems. I've lived in worse apartment complexes and this is, by far, better than most.

Remember, if you don;t like it here...MOVE!

Manager review ups percentage!!
I don't live at Pinnacle, but I was curious to see what others thought of it. I had to shake my head and smirk at the manager's marketing skills. How interesting that she felt the need to "defend" her property with a standard sales pitch that in essence seems only to be done to increase the properties rating on this site.

Shame on you!! Makes me wonder how desperate you are and how accurate the other entries could be.

Don't rent here!
I can't imagine living in a worst place. The staff is very rude. It takes months to get any maintence requests completed. When we moved in there were several things wrong with the apartment in took 2 months and a call to the BRE Managment office to get everything fixed. The carport by my apartment was runied. The top of it was falling off. It took 3 weeks to fix. IT was a safety hazard and I had to drag one of the staff to go look at it and threaten a lawsuit if I was hit with it before it got fixed. I can't imagine any apartment being as bad as this one. Run from here.

Great place
Although the walls aren't as noise-repelent as we would have liked them to have been, I have no complaints about PSM. Yea, parking's really tough, but the garrages are very nice. There are some great views from several apparments such as golf course and mountain views, and for the most part the place is pretty peaceful. The folks in the office always seemes understaffed and overworked, but they were always very helpful and thoughtfull. A few people have mentioned plumbing issues, and we had them too, but maintanenece was always quick and effective. I have, and probably will again, reccommend PSM to my friends.

The neighborhood is great too, we never had any problems with our vehicles getting broken into, or our home. As far as I knew, there was zero crime there. Biggest problem there was that there are just too many appraments there - too many people living there. PSM needs to be about half it's size.

poor management
Had a new neighbor from hell move in below. She called the police on me three or four times. Each time the police came? there was no citation given. Management, more specifically, Cheryl, the Community Liaison, sided with the neighbor with and give me a ten day notice to comply or your out notice. Management never cited me prior to the 10 notice and still has not cited me for loud noise or anything. My life at PSM became horrible, I can not turn on my television in the living or my stereo. I would not recommend this place to any one. Also, they add the garage to your unit. A garage sounds nice? only if you had a garage close to your house?or at least in the same zip code. Recommendation ? HELL NO! One more thing... the tiolets always back up.

I would not recommend this apartment!
This place is a poor residence. When I moved in window screen had a hole in it the drawers were crooked. The toilet always got blocked up. The neighbours were noisy (ex. playing loud music) even when we told the staff about it, they did nothing. Parking was a disaster, usually, I had to park 1/4 mile away from my apartment and once my covered parking space had a car parked there!
I would not recommend this apartment!

Very bad impression of staff
I have never lived in this complex so maybe I just recieved a very bad glimpse into it but I have got to say that just from my experience with the staff I would never rent here.I made a phone call here about a week ago to ask a question about the complex and the staff person on the other end was not helpful and actually was very rude and made me feel like I was bothering her or wasting her time. After that phone call I was not planning on going in there but I just happenned to be driving by today and thought "what the heck....maybe they were just having a really bad day" well, I do not know if I ended up being shown an apartment by the same person today but I felt once again like I was totally bothering them and they just wanted me to hurry up and leave so they could back to whatever they were doing. Honestly, after those two experiences I would never rent here no matter what the apartment´s looked like (not that they are that spectacular). I have lived in Awhatukee for over three year´s and have toured many apartment´s and home´s with roommates and friend´s but I have never dealt with such a rude staff person as today. But, like I said I have not lived here so maybe there is just one bad apple in the bunch but I got a very bad impression of how their tenant´s are probably treated. Without the tenant there these people would not have a job and it is the people looking at these apartment´s that are doing the staff a favor not vice-versa!

not bad, but not great either.
The apartment community is new looking, fresh and generally well lit. Parking can be a bit of a problem depending on where your unit is located. In my four years living at PSM, my car was broken into once, and my mailbox was broken into so they did go through a couple of periods of high crime, nevertheless the community felt safe. The quality of the units was great with one huge exception, water noise. For a luxery style apartment, for the tenant to hear water running in the pipes behind your bedroom wall, everytime you use the water is very annoying. The office told me at first this was just in the three story buildings however this is not the case since i had two different apartments in my time there. Overall I would recommend mainly because of the area, apartment features but other than that, significant improvements could be made.

its not the staff... its the residents
In the year that I have lived here I think that I have finally figured it out. It´s not the staff that is the problem... it´s the residents. I have had really only one problem with the staff, mainly maintenance taking too long, and like 30 problems with residents. The main problem is the stupidity of residents. Case in point: driving IN through the exit when someone leaves. Hello, if they didn´t let you in using the visitor keypad, they probably don´t want you in. If people would learn to have some common courtesy for others, then Pinnacle would be the perfect place to live. But as long as they still play loud music and speed through the complex...

Great Place
Loved it, its affordable for large home like quality construction, and its an awsome location. Thin bottom floors though for upper stairs. Freeway is not a problem if you don´t live along it, but I don´t know if it actually does since I didn´t room by it.

Staff seem professional.... but not really....
I lived at Pinnacle for over a year. I did not have any major problems. While living there for so long there were many positives but a lot of negatives. Positives... Our apartment had a great alarm system. I lived with 3 girls so we felt very safe. Also the renters are young and professional workers. The price was awesome! Some negatives... The staff´s communications was not all there. A particular worker name Natalie told me many things... that somone else that worked there would tell me different. GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING! We were very good renters and were charged for specks of dust when we moved out! There was a mail problem but I never had trouble. Also, a stolen car has been sitting in my parking lot for about 9 months. After notifying police, it´s still sitting there. There you go....

Don´t Make the Same MISTAKE we did :-(
We lived in the PSM townhome section. At first it looked like a great place...attached garages, great freeway access. But don´t be fooled things started breaking the moment we moved in. Sure management made the effort but it was always a day late and a dollar short. When things were fixed they were very poorly done and usually required more than 2 or 3 trips. I never felt comfortable with any of the property staff in our apartment. At one point the community manager told us, I quote, "It´s not my fault that the people that lived there before you broke everything." The area was scary we were afraid to walk our dog at night. Everytime mainatence fixed the walkway lights someone would go around with a baseball bat and break them again, and then the management simply but the tops back on the lights so prospective residents would not see that they really didn´t work. The COCKROACHES were so TERRIBLE there was nothing we could do to get rid of them. We sprayed every day for months and they still were around. One time we sprayed our patio and found 40 dead...I kept the pictures to prove it. The management team is not very helpful except for a select few. The management seemed to be changing for the better. Be warned if you are still considering moving in GET A P.O. BOX for your mail. MAIL THEFT IS RAMPANT AND HAPPENS ON A DAILY BASIS. One mail thief has been raiding the same mail boxes for months. The police even know who the person is and yes he lived on the property. I can only say that please look around...now that we have taken the time to look around we have found GREAT other apartments with attached garages located in much better areas and kept in much better condition.

Please Reconsider
The parking here is a nightmare. I had to park 1/4 mile + atleast 75% of the time. As a young woman I never felt safe walking this far alone at night. Especially when my car was broken into and items where stolen. Just like the other posts, when i informed the office staff they didn´t care at all. I also had problems with the wiring for my telephone because of wires in my walls and the apartment staff said they weren´t responsible and I had to pay for it!! It was an outragous expense for something that was wrong with their complex. Living here was a major mistake!

We liked it
We have had good experience with the staff. We love Cheryl. The neighbors have been huge whiners. They complain that we walk too loud because they have nothing better to do than sit and listen to us walk! Who you live next to is just luck of the draw, and could happen at any apartment. We did have problems with mail being stolen when we first moved in, but since then we have not had a problem because new locks were put on the mailboxes. I would recommend living in an upstairs apartment to minimize noise.

Noise and Destruction
Thought it was a nice place for young professionals. However, the people on both sides of us played very loud music constantly. I like to party, but there is a limit when others need to sleep and work. Had to call the police twice, since the night watchperson never answered the page. Also found my new car keyed all the way down one side and the neighbors hood completely dented in on her BMW. Dont move in.

the crime is terrible
Although the location of complex is great, the crime is terrible. I had the emblems on my 7 month old car ripped off. The worst part is that the staff is not taking any steps to try to prevent things like this. Some ----- in the office just looked at me and said, "Crime has no address". The day I moved out there was a guy one building down from me that was moving out for the same reason, and there was only one tenant left in the building I was in when I left. That very same day.... There was a guy getting the windshield on his car repair because someone broke it the previous night.

It´s bad really bad, don´t move in this complex if you value your personal belongings, because the staff doesn´t care at all.
