It is a good community, one of the nicer apartments I could find, however, there is a lot of fixing going on, between fixing potholes, and removing old appliances from homes. The pools are closed/locked frequently. It took almost a year to fix a pothole, but somehow they were able to pay for new lines to be painted throughout the parking lots

Overall, a pretty good experience living here. Very satisfied with my apartment. The large size of the rooms, vaulted ceilings and plenty of closet space make it nice to live here. Appliances are good and have worked well here over the years. Rarely does anything go wrong. If it does, the front office and maintenance crew have been quick to respond.

Searching for apartment can be tough but if your looking for hidden location, love walking trails, and friendly staff..than Carlyle on South Mountain is your option. The communication, reassurance and questions are an absolutely amazing.

Kayla H. Leasing Manager is EXTREMELY nice and willing to assist. This was one of the smoothest move in I have experienced. I didn't feel rushed, Kayla sat down and walked me through the full process. I was able to do A walk through and place on form. All my concerns was answered within a reasonable time.

The office staff was very helpful when I called to put in a work order for the bulb to be replaced on the outside entryway. When I attempted to put the work order in online I was having difficulty so they submitted the request for me. By the next afternoon the maintenance staff had completed the request. Even though it was a small request, it shows the staff here tries to keep the buildings safe for the residents. Coming home to a dark entryway could be a potential safety issue, not to mention a hassle to unlock the door in the dark. Thank you to the staff members for completing the work order so promptly. It is much appreciated.

Well getting any maintenance done in my first year was a nightmare, anything the maintenance workers touched the made worse , not impressed with this maintenance team , car bear in's are way too common, catalytic converter thefts are common as well

I Love it here, it's very spacious, beautiful, and has great amenities. It's clean and the services provided are amazing. The staff is amazing. I Love the location of my apartment as it oversees the golf course.

All bad so far nothing but problems with the property maintenance hasn't fixed the issues with my air conditioning im upset they left screws on the floor and broke the thermostat so they have forced my electric bill to go sky high

The apartments look amazing. They are so beautiful inside and look like luxury apartments . The maintenance is very quick to respond to our requests and are very nice and helpful. We love our home here

The overall experience staying here just moving here last month is alright so far thank you, however, there are the leaks in the kitchen by the refrigerator, the bathroom leak behind the toilet which should have been taken care of before the move in and the correct fitting handle on the shower that still needs to be replaced because it is dripping water once the shower or whenever the water is shut off. There was leaking also from the second floor in the walls and on the living room floor near the backside of the closet. Also the screen on the sliding door was coming off track, so yes, for the amount of rent being paid maintenance on the units need to be up to par before tenants begin leasing.

It's not bad I've had a good experience so far besides all the maintenance issues that haven't been fixed and the walls being super thin I can hear everything my upstairs neighbors do. But like I said other then that it's fine the office staff are nice.

The community appears nice on the surface, but is average at best. The apartments are nice but the trash problem is noticeable as you drive through the complex on most days. The parking is awful. One space per unit with very few open spaces,essentially if you live on the golf course side.

Love this community and the staff! Would recommend this place to everyone looking to rent. It's conveniently located by the Arizona Grand Resort, multiple shopping outlets, and restaurants. Will be here a long while

I was excited to move into this apartment complex because the exterior (particularly the front) seemed clean and well put-together. However, I have not enjoyed living here for numerous reasons that many people have complained about and continue to complain about. The first reason is the quality and the time it takes to resolve maintenance requests - I have been submitting maintenance requests for the same issue for almost 2 years now and it has never been attended to! Every time I submit the request, they close it without even coming to the apartment to assess it much less fix it. Second, it is difficult to find parking near your apartment if you have a multi-person household with 2 cars (not to mention more than 2!). There are fewer parking spots than is required for the number of apartments in the complex and this is a huge safety concern for women who have to park far and walk to their apartments at night. There are many more things I could complain about but the proverbial straw that broke the Camel's back for me was when I submitted a maintenance request that needed to be completed by an external contractor according to the front office. I was told the appointment was set with the external contractor they made me side an agreement about the cost of canceling, and the need to be out of my apartment for at least 24 hrs. They did not provide me with an alternative place to stay so I booked hotel rooms, and paid for meals out of pocket. I would call the office throughout the day to get information about the contractor's arrival and departure, and was told that they cannot give me a time or timeframe because they might be busy all over the valley. I asked the front office personnel to call the contractor and find out but he refused. When I tell you he was rude and full of attitude! As if I was bothering him! Turns out, the appointment was never booked so the external contractor was not coming! If only he had checked when I asked, they probably would have realized this sooner. Needless to say, I requested full reimbursement for my hotel and food expenses (I even had to board my dog during the day when I had to go to work) as this was no fault of my own, and they refused. It took them about 2 months to agree to reimburse me for the 2 hotel rooms after I constantly emailed them to resolve the issue. The maintenance request was never addressed, and there was no explanation as to what occurred. It's as if it never happened! No care in the world as it's just another day at Carlyle apartments! Some good things about the complex are that they try to host community events, and it is a fairly quiet complex. Just in case you were wondering, I did not want to move after my first lease expired because I am so close to graduating from my doctoral program and did not want to incur any moving expenses for the second time in just over a year. Even though I'll be graduating right after my current lease ends, I refuse to live at Carlyle beyond my lease expiration date. I am looking forward to moving out despite the moving expenses and hassle. I just want to be at peace and happy where I live, especially when I am paying more than $2500!

To many frustrations to go into great details. Office staff is 50/50 shot on helpful and reliable personal. Maintenance personal are personal, polite and respectful when dealing with you but stadards of finished work dont match rent being charged. Management was minimally helpful they have made a few promises to repair and followed through on half and still finished work on those do not match the value of rent being charged.

Fair Too much management turn over.housing Cost exuberant with excessive community and emenities cost. Office personel excessive turn over. Grounds continue to need manicure improvements in the rear ( front looks good) Water, waste and sewer cost excessive .Trash valet should be optoonal or no charge if we donot want it. Need better lighting at night And fobs for gate code after hours. Pool areas have more " out of service" than our ability to use. Visit the entire community prior to choosing, or appointment. Read entire rental agreement, fine print and have it reviewed. Besure you have infor for contacting corporate that will respond Check out history of managent company performance.

Apartment wasn't clean when I initially moved in - there was dog food in the carpet on the floor in the bedroom and in the closet by the kitchen. There was a strong smell of dog urine in the carpet, which wasn't resolved even after they finally ordered a carpet cleaning nearly 2 months after I brought it up. Could be a lot better but could be worse I guess

It's good. Relatively cheap, quiet, but minor maintenance issues. Fitness center is a little lack luster. Good parking. Really wish landscaping didn't wake me up at least once a week. Im not sure it's because my ac doesnt work the best or my room faces the sun but it's always hot in my room

Nice community to live in and be apart of. Walkable distance to trail heads. Beautiful view of a golf course. Next to the interstate but you can't heard the noise. Dog friendly community with a dog park.

My experience here has been unsatisfactory, it's unsafe, our apartment came with damages before we moved in, I can find something cheaper that's closer to Phoenix and offers an overall better living condition. The extra fees for things we don't need or use are unnecessary

---- is a terrible manager. No personal skills, rude unprofessional, and bitter. I am not going to pay 1600+ to have to deal with SUCH A TERRIBLE PERSON (----) anytime I have to go to the office. Asked to view my place and she straight up said no. That was when i told her that i am not signing the lease until i see the unit first. She didn't offer any kind of help or solution. You in the customer service industry. SERVICE THE CUSTOMER. Left the office extremely angry that i went to three other apartments near that area and found a better option. La Estancia Apartments 300 dollars less. They also have three resort-style pools and are next to a golf course as well. the only difference is you pay less money and the people the work there actually respect future tenants.
