I am a current resident at Desert palm village and i love it here. Like every complex it not 100% perfect however, every time i need assistance they are are very helpful. Especially the maintenance men. One in particular is named Greg, he is a friendly and kind man who goes above and beyond at his job. He helps me whenever i need assistance in my apartment and fixes things perfectly. I never have to call more than once to get something fixed. Great place to live.

The Maintance at this facility are great. They allways help me out and strive to make sure I am comfortable. I believe that they go above and beyond for the residents at this complex. Especially Greg, he is efficient works fast, allways does the best quality of work and is very kind.

Fantastic Staff and Maintenance

I have been living here for 2 yrs now and I have enjoyed every minute of it. The staff and maintenance here are absolutely amazing. Greg one of the many maintenance men on this property helped me today and its always a pleasant experience and attended to every issue I had with my apt I couldn't be happier.

Great community!

My husband and I have been living here for more than 6 years. It's safe, clean and the maintenance team is amazing! We recently had our A/C unit replaced upon our request. We received a brand new unit and Greg, our maintenance guy has been so helpful and following up with us about it. The site manager has always been solving any issues that we might have had in the past and in general I feel great living here!

Decent place for students

I would call this place OPTIMUM for students. These are not the fanciest apartments you can show off to a date, but with HUGE covered areas, lots and lots of free amenities on site, very quick and efficient maintenance service and proximity to ASU, public transportation, grocery stores and other significant places in Tempe, makes it a great place to live at an affordable rent. So while these are not the most beautiful apartments or the quietest community to live in, but it definitely is the best in its rent category and among communities close to ASU.

A nice place to live

On my second lease now and Me and my teenage son are happy here..very convienent to free and pay public transpertation and grocery stores. Great place for students and families alike. The staff is always freindly and helpful and the rental prices are very standard to other places of the same caliber. A nice activity room with wieghts, pool table and ping pong. pools and hot tubes always clean and useable.

All the staffs and all the Maintenances guys did great awesome job for all the apartments . Thank you every one put us in safety and they always put us first. For the maintence guys did the out side work it was so great job. When i need some thing for my apartment i come over to the office tell the staff ask for maintence guys once month to do the job for us

Repairs

We have had a few issues lately with our sink and leaks from the roof. Greg, a member of the maintenance crew, came over very quickly and took care of things for us right away. We now have a new faucet and the leak is being repaired for us as we speak. Not the first time Greg has been here super fast to help us with our issues. He and his repair services are much appreciated!

Excellent top to bottom

The staff is very well trained and goes above any expectations to help solve any issues.The maintenance team is superb, being handicapped and confined to a wheelchair, i could not enjoy this quality of life without their patience and prompt attention to maintenance repairs. My hats off to a fine organization and a fine place to live.

Fantastic Office Staff

Management can make or break one's living experience at any complex. The staff here are amazing and have always been helpful, regardless of what I bring to them to resolve. I've lived in a lot of different apartments in the Tempe area, and this complex is by far the best place I have ever lived. Maintenance issues are ALWAYS taken care of timely, the landscape is maintained, the common areas are clean and everyone in the front office is friendly and personable. This is a great place to live!!!!

Fake Reviews Don't believe

Whoever is writing these so called good reviews are lying. THis place is ------. Its like a last resort because they don't do background checks... they let whoever and live here. If you want a good place don't live here. just a warning. I had 4 new neighbors in the 8 months in the same apartment. and they progressively got worse. My neighbors constantly had parties during the week and offered drugs many times.

Good place to live.

I don't know where the other reviewer lived in the complex, but I haven't had any problems after over a year of living here. In fact, I renewed my lease. I live on the far south side of the complex. I have had a couple incidents of seeing lone cockroaches, but pest control is a free amenity and both times they promptly came over. Never any problems with infestation. I've never even seen a scorpion on the grounds. Maintenance always comes over right away when we send in a work order. Usually the next morning, but sometimes the same day. One of the only complexes in the area that allows large dogs. The dog-friendly environment hasn't caused much bother, though once for a period of about two months it seemed like the other residents in our part of the complex just decided to stop picking up after their pets. The grounds are always very well-kept. Fresh grass, trimmed trees, and the pools are always clean (not an easy feat with the dust storms lately). Unfortunately, if you have a window next to grass then you are going to be woken up a few mornings by lawnmowers. My neighbors have all been very nice, never a nuisance. My one-bedroom is very spacious for the price. The office women are okay, but I haven't had any issues I've needed to take to them. The office has computers with internet connections, which is nice. Sometimes you'll have to ask for paper to refill the printers, which can get annoying. All in all, I really like it here. Pretty positive experience.

Not good at all

In the 3 years that I lived there, I experienced being physically threatened by my neighbors and pushed up against a wall as a result of the management informing my neighbors about that I made an "anonymous" noise complaint; I witnessed a man masturbating at the community computer in the front office and the management did not call the police or clean the keyboard; I heard horrible domestic disputes that were not broken up by the police for hours after I called them; I had neighbors solicit my female guests for sex when they walked past in the halls; I had cockroaches coming up from my neighbor below through the cabinets; my neighbors kept me up several nights a week because they were on meth with their doors open or loudly drinking in the corridors; members of the management told me "we are not babysitters" and "what do you expect when you live here". The management seem like their souls are broken, they are insensitive and obviously unhappy as the slumlords of this institution. This place is toxic. The conditions for the maintenance staff are deplorable. They are subjected to massive amounts of volatile organic chemicals, mold and biological contaminants. When the maintenance staff have to "turn over" an apartment for new residents, they breath in toxic levels of these contaminants from cheap carpets, paint, glues, etc. I have never seen one of them wearing even a protective mask to avoid inhaling that stuff. I think it's a shame. I don't know what those men get paid but it certainly cannot be worth the respiratory disease, asthma, etc. that they will surely have as a result of working for IMT Residential. Since this complex became "section 8" housing, meaning HUD/subsidized housing, our quality of life has plummeted. The lack of screening process (checking references) is evident to the residents who were here 3 years ago before this became section 8 housing. Some of my neighbors are the most sad and broken people in this world. Meth heads, creeps, children wandering around day in and day out with no supervision, not going to school. I had kids coming to my door asking for food. This is a scary situation when you combine creepy adults and unsupervised children. It's a recipe for disaster. When we moved out, the office staff told us that we did not owe anything else. Then the office staff charged us for an extra day and for half a months water bill that we still owed. We left a forwarding address and phone number and we never received a bill in the mail, it went straight to collection after fifteen days. They corrected the amount for the extra day after we disputed it, but it has still negatively affected our otherwise perfect credit.

I have lived here for almost 3 years. The apartments are spacious and comfortable and reasonable. Any time I have had a problem, it has been taken care of almost immediately. I have found the office staff friendly and helpful. The computer area is convenient and easy to use. The grounds and pool areas are well taken care of. I would recommend these apartments.

Good management. Best price/location

The apartments are very spacious. There are no cockroaches or bed bugs in the apartment complex. The management is very professional and heeds to service requests very promptly. Just over a mile from ASU - so great place to live if you want to bike to school.

Smells like alcohol, marijuana, and dog poop

i rented here for 2 years. it used to be nice, full of students. Now full of babies and gangsters with pitbulls and loud parties. complained many times office never did anything. maybe because the office staff liked the younger men...my ------ neighbor also threatened to bash my car. because she was always arguing with her husband.

I am with the other people

If you are looking for perfect it isn't here. I have had a few things break but the workers have been out pretty fast and it was fixed. You can't beat the location to school and the fitness room. I would recommend it to people that haven't yet found perfect.

I would recommend it.

I am sure that everyone has their own experiences. The same as two people will not have the same review of a hotel. However, just because a person isn't happy doesn't mean that all the other happy people are wrong. I work at a front desk of a hotel. It drives me crazy that out of 50 happy people only the one unhappy person is heard. Usually that person is just an unhappy person. Okay I vented. I am glad my friends are making it a point to tell all our neighbors about this site. The more happy people that voice their opinion the better the world will be.

Love the weather

Katie is right. It is a great place to live. I am glad to be in sunny Arizona and my family is not. haha. I have never had any problems and lived here since August. I go to school and love being so close. Everyone seems so happy here. Maybe it is just Arizona, who knows?
