For nearly a year I called 1600 Glenarm home in Denver. It was a temporary relocation for work purposes, and I left Glenarm because my work assignment was complete - not because of anything lacking or any complaints. It was/is a fantastic place to live in downtown Denver. Everyone at 1600 is completely professional and made me feel welcome; the RedPeak leasing reps, the Concierges, the Valets, my neighbors in the building - there is a great sense of community cultivated throughout the building. It was an amazing place to live and feel like I belonged during my time in Denver. The amenities in the building are fantastic and there isn't anything you need to leave the building or block for - it's all right there. I will always remember my time at Glenarm fondly and will miss those who became my Denver family.

    Truly a great place to live!

    I rarely leave reviews but I felt that 1600 deserved to have my experience shared. I have lived at 1600 Glenarm as a tenet and came back and stayed as a guest in the suite several years later. Location, amenities, safety and staff were the most valuable things I was looking for and found all four at Glenarm. I have now known some of the staff there for 5 years and that says it all about the kind of staff you meet at 1600. I dont think you would have staff retention like that without a great product that took care of its people and I think that is important. I LOVED the valet and found it not only convenient but a huge safety perk. The amenities and location are awesome. If you are on the fence I hope this review will help. Because while there are cheaper places to rent out there, you would be hard pressed to find one that had all the perks at 1600 Glenarm.

      fabulous staff

      I have lived at 1600 for over 5 years. I have experienced a 1 bedroom, a 2 bedroom and a studio. All the facilities are top rate. However the differentiator is the staff. From the front office, Jennifer the manager, Nelson the director of concierge services, the entire staff of front desk folks as well as a responsive and polite group of valets. The entire housekeeping and maintenance staff are outstanding. I have lived in major buildings in Boston, NYC and here and this is by far the most friendly and value oriented. I am sorry to leave.

        The best of the best

        Recently our personal circumstances changed and the staff at 1600 Glenarm Place worked hard to assist us in locating to a sister property. We will truly miss the staff and the building. Both Jennifers in the leasing office, John and Michael at the concierge desk and Chris at the Valet will be truly missed. Their service and care has been superior. I was amazed that, after only a few days of living here, we were greeted by your first names. You are not just a number here, you are someone they care about. The planned social events, fitness classes, amenities and cooking classes are just a few of the perks you can enjoy.

          Half a year and still loving it

          Just wanted to post a quick review on what we think of 1600 Glenarm thus far. We've been here since early summer and since then have been nothing but impressed. The Valet's are always friendly, the concierge team are rock stars, and the few times we've had to interact with management it's been great. The apartment itself is outstanding in quality, and quiet. We had some loud neighbors for a month after we moved in, but they left shortly after and since it has been one of the most quiet and pleasent locations we have lived. The RedPeak property team (glenarm staff included) have been great to work with overall, and the amenities at this building are handy. We feel very safe in this building even being directly down town. The building is expensive, but we feel we do get what we pay for here. And the location is absolutely perfect for anyone who wants to do stuff around town and not need to drive.

            Top of the Line

            I recently moved into 1600 Glenarm Pl. and could not be happier, everything is perfect here. The staff knows my name after living here a week!!!!! They helped me hang my pictures and huge mirrors to perfection on walls and any other requests I have for a handyman in my unit, Thanks a bunch Leonard!!! I looked at other high-end rental homes in Downtown Denver and even signed a lease at another similar building which I thought was great until I found 1600 Glenarm and Jennifer Blake my leasing agent, I quickly called the other building and cancelled my lease. Ms. Blake helped me choose my penthouse unit after showing me several floor plans and her customer service and knowledge in helping me picking the perfect unit was a great experience. Ms. Blake is by far the best leasing agent I have ever met and this building has so far exceeded my high expectations. Everything from great valet parking service everyday, your own access to Earls restaurant, common areas, dry-cleaning pick up and delivery and house cleaning is just as Ms. Blake promised, World Class! If you are looking to find an amazing luxury rental apartment do not look any further 1600 Glenarm PL. is by far best in Denver!!!!!!

              GREAT...until you move out

              We had a wonderful experience at 1600 Glenarm. Great space, amazing amenities and one of the best locations. However, when we had to move out, it was a 180. They really wouldn't work with us on needing 60 days notice to move out so we ended up paying for about 3 weeks when we weren't living there. Expensive! Plus, I paid a $500 nonrefundable pet deposit and a $350 refundable deposit plus $25 in pet rent. When I moved out, I got a deposit check for $7.01 because of the extra cleaning needed from having a pet. My non-shedding dog who lives with me, an obsessive cleaner, cannot have warranted that much extra cleaning. When I asked the accountant about my deposit, she said it was for "The privilege of having a dog in the building." Total my dog cost almost $900 to live there. Great place to live but watch out when you move out!

                I expected something great. I felt only disappointment and regret.

                Please take my advice and do not rent from this supposedly upscale management company. Please research this before signing on the bottom line. I am not the only resident that has voiced their dissatisfaction to me of this managements companies misrepresentation. They manage many complexes in the metro area. The picture attached was taken in Dec 2010. This was the state of construction of Glenarm's new common areas at that time. Those of you downtown noticed the scaffolding in the middle of the sidewalk outside the entrance. Scaffolding and construction from Sept to April. That is the amount of time I was without an internet cafe, exercise area, office, community room and a place to barbecue that I had started with at inception of the lease. Their feeble attempt to offer interim services was a joke. The management company offered me $100 in gift certificates for my inconvenience. The deception of this management company and the lack of accommodations has lead me to this. My right to voice my complete dissatisfaction.

                  At the intersection of everything!!

                  My family and I moved to Denver for my husbands work on a short term contract and we looked at many places to live and among the first was the 1600 Glenarm Place. Any other attempt to look at other apartments was futile because nothing compared, so we moved in. From day 1 all the staff were amazing! Friendly, curteous and always smiling and more than willing to help. I have a baby boy and the Valet staff made the effort to remember his name and greet him whenever we went in or out and opened the door for me when I was pushing a stroller. They watched him for me while he slept in the car while I unloaded my shopping and they helped me carry up my groceries. The concierge team were second to none!! Better than we had ever experienced even in 5 star hotels! No request was too difficult for them and they executed every request with a can do attitude and a smile. I never felt like I was asking for too much! They were incredible! I would highly recommend staying at Glenarm Place if you are thinking of moving to downtown Denver!! The location is absolutely perfect, you are right in the heart of everything and not far from anything!! Thank you to Nelson, Michael and the rest of the team who truely made our short stay in the states memorable, fun and easy!!

                    Great Management and Friendly

                    I lived there for just over one year, but had to move out about a year ago due to a pay-cut at work. Management worked with me when I explained my situation. (They do not allow subleases, but accommodated me due to my dire circumstance). I was a fresh of breath air to know that in spite of all the stress I had about my financial situation, they helped me, rather than hurt me. When I moved in, I got a KILLER deal, but unfortunately, those deals don't really exist anymore. So, granted this apartment is spendy, the views are great, management is extremely nice and accommodating, and the apartments, themselves are quite nice. They even offer to paint three of your walls for free, if i remember correctly. The parking situation is a bummer because it costs an extre $200 (i forget the exact amount) per month for underground valet parking. It also kinda sucks for friends who have to pay for parking just to come hang out at your place. Luckily, I worked out a great deal with the Crowne Plaza (who were also extremely nice and and willing to work with me and my financial situation). It kinda sucked walking a block and a half to get to my car, but it was still garage parking!! :) About the noise, you are straight off the 16th st mall, so you definitely get a lot of street noise if your windows are open. If they're shut, thought, it's not a problem (and there is AC in the apt). But, that's really only the noise you'll hear. I RARELY heard my neighbors. So, in short, it costs a lot of money, but if you've got it, RENT THERE...it's worth it. (This review is NOT by someone who works for them, or a family/friend of someone who works there. I'm a nurse, and I was single when I lived there...so, no ties to 1600 Glenarm).al

                    Excellent Choice

                    I have lived and worked in an apartment at 1600 Glenarm for over three years and have been very happy with my time there. The staff are both friendly and helpful. The valet option is unique for downtown and quite reliable for the volume of cars - an exceptional value. I have experienced no noise issues at all. Note that the building allows pets, so if you don't like animals it may not be the best choice. Otherwise, the amenities are fine and the location downtown is outstanding - better than Lodo.

                      Fabulous Place to Live

                      My boyfriend and our Westie have lived in 1600 Glenarm for over 9 months now, and it is hands down the best place we've ever lived. We are both recent grads and glenarm offers everything you could ever need! Valet Parking (best in winter as they have shoveled off the snow and it's warm & toasty when you get in), the best concierge you could ask for, pet friendly, great resident events (brunches, rafting, cocktail hours), lavish affordable apartments (stainless steel, granite, hardwood, modern fixtures), wonderful amenities, and to top it all off, you are accessible to everywhere downtown. They also have on site Maintenance techs that can fix or do anything you need at the drop of a hat! I never hear our neighbors (very well insulated) and the utilities aren't expensive either. They also offer rental apartments if you have family or friends in town for like $100/night and they are fully furnished and very cozy. I know this is a mouthful, but we moved here from out of state, and we based our move (and a visit prior) solely on consumer reviews, and I would love everyone to know that we wouldn't live anywhere else in Denver.

                          No Harm Living in Glenarm

                          My boyfriend and I wanted to move downtown as we were new to Denver and didn't know which neighborhood to settle into -- found 1600 Glenarm and were sold. The building is lovely, the rent decent, the fact that there is a concierge was a new experience for us and they have proved amazingly helpful and friendly. We've loved living here so far, and hope to stay on and get a larger place. Only minor complaints are financial: the pet fee (non refundable) has kept us from getting a dog and the cost of parking is a lot, but we're downtown so that's to be expected, and you pay for what you get (valets clean the snow off my car for my 5AM workday start, need I say more?). The location is more than ideal for accessing events and venues in the city, and friends want to come to our place on the weekends. I'm looking forward to the construction improvements on the public areas, as I miss having the public outdoor space, even in the winter. And did I mention I wake up to the snow capped Rockies every morning? Sure there are a few downtown buildings in the way, but peeking among them are mountains. Urban meets natural -- doesn't get more Denver than that.

                            Mesmerized by down town

                            We moved in to 1600 Glenarm Pl. 9 months ago. We love living in down town Denver and have been mesmerized by the 22nd floor view. I was somewhat dissapointed in the condition of the carpet, and the lack of lighting. The bathroom is a lot of wasted space and there is never enough cabinets whether in the Bathroom or kitchen. We have had no problems with any staff members and have always found them to be friendly and helpful. I feel safe in the building and we have had no problems with the neighbors. We are lucky as no one on the 22nd floor has a dog so that is our blessing. We don't like dogs and don't feel they should be in an apartment environment. We don't like the fact that when we get on the elevator it stinks like a wet dirty dog. We have complained to no avail. Residents need to be more polite to non dog owners and use the freight elevator that is why they are there. We were told when we moved in they were to use it but we have yet to see it happen. We have had many maintenance issues from the smell in the sink to the washer not working but they have all been taken care of. We like it here but do not know if we will renew the lease due to the cost of living here. Too costly.

                              Best Place in Downtown Denver

                              I'm 3 years new to Colorado. I've lived in a couple places in Denver; Aurora & out skirts of Cherry Creek before I chose to move downtown. I've never experienced anything like 1600 Glenarm Place. I feel like celebrity everytime I walk out of my apartment or drive up to the 24 hour Valet. They open the doors for me everytime, and offer carts if they see I have groceries. The concierge delivers complimentary packages and my drycleaning everyday! There is always coffee and tea and yummy cookies at the concierge desk and lobby. The resident events are cool and gave me a chance to meet new people and my neighbors which I never was privy to at my other locations in town so it was tough to meet people when I first moved to town. Also, maintenance has fixed small items the same day. The efficiency surpasses other places I lived. I love that I can take an elevator to my apartment, opposed to stairs and can take an elevator to the private access that we get to Earl's Restaurant!! The best part is not having to drive my car everyday because I am walking distance to work and can also ride my bike to most places. Also this place is only an hour away from the mountains, which was important for me since I'm an avid snowboarder. Anyway, I wanted to express this as there are many reasons why I chose to live here and why I continue to live here.

                                Worst apartment building in Denver!!!!!!!

                                My husband and I have been living here for a little less than a year and are disgusted by the maintenance on the building here at 1600 Glenarm. We have put numerous complaints into the front desk and the management never repairs anything! I have had a leak in my tub for almost 3 weeks that has not been fixed and the noise keeps me up all night- which is why I am writing this at 4:00 AM. We can't wait for our lease to expire this summer so we can get out of this place. The management is rude and gossip about tenants with other tenants. I feel like I'm living in a slum, and it seems it is getting worse since we moved in. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. The building has a bad reputation which in my opinion is well deserved.

                                  1600 Glenarm has terrible and rude management!

                                  I have been a resident of 1600 Glenarm in Denver for 2 1/2 years now. Until now, I was proud to live here and never complained about their rude staff. Joanna and Nelson are very stuck up and talks badly about their residents. Often I see Joanna and other staff members drunk and acting rude in the lobby. How professional is that? As a business owner, I would never act that hostile to my customers as the leasing office does here. That new brunette girl in the office ( I don't care to know her name) just exudes hostility and drove away potential residents due to her negative attitude. Many people can attest to this. The valet and house keeping staff are great and friendly to us. Even the building engineers are nice, just the office staff are rude. I will be giving my hard earned money to a place that deserves it. Stay away from here unless you want to be treated like a second class resident and be judged by the mean leasing office gang.

                                    HORRIBLE COMPANY

                                    The management is horrible and treats its residents in a condescending and rude manner. I lived there the first 2 years that the building was open and the manager was awful and that is the nicest thing anyone could say about her. I have also witnessed the upper maangement treating the staff in an unfair way...maybe thats why they can get anything done right. My car was damaged and they refused to pay for it because I drove off before the damage was identified. The valet opened my door where the damage was, how was I to know there was a large dent on the other side? They park your car and sometimes do not lock it, and I have had a pair of $400 sunglasses stolen, which they refused to pay for. There are equally as nice apartments around with management that treats residents and staff with human dignity. Save money, and a lot of agravation and go somewhere else!!!

                                          Exceeds Expectations

                                          I could not be happier living here. As a new resident to 1600 Glenarm Pl. and the city, I can honestly say I hit jackpot. The staff and 24hr concierge could not be more accommodating or friendly. Any question or problem does not go unanswered and is done so in a timely manner. Not to mention, having the personal touch of a friendly staff knowing their residence by name and vise versa makes living here all the more pleasurable. I immensely enjoy being located right on the 16th street mall and the convenience of their dedicated valet staff. Being a young female and living down town, safety was top priority and I could not feel more safe living here. Plus, my neighbors are considerate and friendly, no complaints what so ever. All in all, I cannot say enough positive things about this place. Living here, by far, has been the best part about moving to Colorado. I m so lucky to have found such amazing community-living. I could not think of a better place to live with all that they offer.

                                            I initially chose 1600 Glenarm for the safety. When I moved to Denver, I knew I wanted to live downtown, but the thought of living alone in an urban area frightened me. I always feel safe here at 1600 Glenarm. The entire staff is always so polite and welcoming. It took some adjusting when I first moved in because I almost felt that I was living in a hotel, but now it just feels like home. Like another resident commented, I have also come across puke and condoms in the stairwell, not to mention the dog feces in the elevator. However, it seems that these problems are taken care of promptly. The gym is somewhat small and you can tell the equipment is not being adequately maintained. As far as the noise goes, I can hear the elevator from my apartment as well as my neighbor's door and occasionally some loud music. But overall, it's pretty quiet. I can tell when someone on the floor is smoking. The ventilation in the building is not great, so the smoke seems to sit in the hallway. With all of that said, I would recommend 1600 Glenarm to prospective residents. The location and amenities cannot be beat. However, I will admit that if my rent increases when it is time to renew my lease, I will explore other rental options in the downtown area.

                                              Damaged Cars, Reoccuring Overcharges, Unprofessional Office Staff.

                                              1600 Glenarm Place. I was a prospective tenant and at this time I am not. This is what I know. A community with great potential. I will strongly suggest you do a few things to hold 1600 Glenarm Place accountable if you plan to live in the Red Peak Managed Property. First, always inspect your car before leaving the parking garage, or at the time your car is delieverd to your possession by the Valet Service Team. Though the valet team is a great team, the managment at Red Peak overworks and understaffs the valet service personel. Your car will be video taped upon its return. It will not be video tapped upon exit. So, if your car is damaged while being parked, you must notify them and make a claim (fill out an official claim form) before leaving the propery. So, even if your car gets damaged while getting parked on the propery, it leaves the propery then it gets video taped when it comes back to be parked....the car is damaged but it has been off the property and the car will be considered to have been damaged outside of realm of the liability of Glenarm Place. Lesson: always inspect your car before taking it off the property and make an official damage claim if it has been damaged. Once you drive off the property, they will assume no liability. On another note, if you make a change to your lease, for an increase or decrease in services such as adding an additional parking space, make certain to check the charges being applied to your agreement every month before you pay. Services like extra paid parking, even when you no longer want or need the and have cancelled the upgrade, have a way of getting re-billed to resident accounts the next month. Lesson: know what you are paying for. Check your amount due accordingly each and every month. When dealing with office personel, make certain to get confirmation. Get Changes to your lease, any change in writting so that you take with you written documentation for any changes to your lease, including the time of your move out (see in your lease, "notice to vacate form"... and section of lease) for your future records and confirmation to hold both parites accountable. If you make a change to your lease, ask you be given confirmation in writting, so when extra charges for parking (as but one example) are added for an extra space or paid upgrade to park indoors vs outside are added then later the same service is removed, but changes continue you can then have proof you were not to have incured an extra upgraded fee for a service you had, but terminated. Charges for items such as these have a way of getting billed even though those services have been droped. Check you monthy statement for proper charges. Check or inspect you car before leaving the property. Understand the notice to vacate clause and "form" of your lease and document that you have done things in accordance with your lease agreement upon move out or termination. I was condidering renting here, until the individual I know ran into the above issues. Fortunately, they were protected since the appropriate paper trail existed to hold 1600 Glenarm to their part of the contract. We did get a legal opinion of the lease, and the attorney stated, "This is on of the best lease documents I have ever seen in writing"...For the landlord.

                                                Overall, great

                                                I was one of the first to move in and was here for 12 months. Bought a house but otherwise would have happily stayed. I always found the management very helpful and the only thing that went wrong during my stay was a broken cupboard which they fixed in 12 hours. Parking can be a little tricky - valet parking seems nice until they get busy and then you're waiting around for your car when you're in a hurry.
