We had a mouse issue, which the resolve was mouse traps. Not effective. A mouse burrowed through the electrical in which maintenance just stuffed steel wool in and did not repair the hole. We have had to send information to them multiple times, this is even with management changing. Get your records and docs in order. They have no idea how to manage an apartment complex. If you want heat in the winter, you need to put the thermostat all the way up. Overall, I'm just greatly disappointed. I've never had a bad rental experience until living here.

Excellent community, poor management staff. I love the secured access even though my key fabs do not work at the entrance. This is a great community for pets. I would like to see the management staff be trained for more efficient client services

This place is a living nightmare. From the broken pipes, flooded hallways, pest infestation, paper thin walls, constant robberies, limited parking, and our bedroom being at a constant 85 degrees, Alta Springs in the definition of a disappointment. Our room (apartment J106, you've been warned) is above the broiler room and the pipes not only give off constant heat (yes, even through the sweltering summer months), but the pipes slam against the walls. Its like living in a submarine that is being tossed around in a storm. In fact, the pipes hit the walls so hard is shakes the doors throughout our apartment making sure nobody gets a solid nights sleep. You would think that Management would care and want to resolve the problem, but they don't. Ron is the most unprofessional person I have ever dealt with, and if fact he has yelled at me and another tenant because we were both upset about the state of our apartments. "I don't know what you want me to do about the appliances not working and your upstairs neighbors being loud, too bad you already signed a lease" -Ron. The apartment manager is always "too busy" to assist anyone and the little girl who is the assistant manager just recites lines from her "How to Manage for Dummies" book while not fully understanding that she isn't fixing any problems. Oh well, we have seen multiple people get hired and fired from Alta Springs, so you may have to deal with the next generation of incompetent faces that work in that office. Since we have lived here (11 months) there have been multiple robberies to the club house and almost all of the mail has been stolen, especially around the holidays. Alta Springs Management has even denied packages because the delivery people have had trouble finding the club house and have brought it to their attention, "we wont be accepting packages from rude people"- Alta Springs Management (still have the email to prove this one). The wasp problem is also something worth noting. The entire building is infested with wasps and I have witnessed multiple people, including children and dogs just walking by, get stung. I made about 5 calls to the office about it, shocker, nothing was done about it and my calls go unanswered. My fiance and I had to buy wasp catchers and spray to try and make the door to the building, which was swarming with them, a safe place for us and our neighbors. Speaking of neighbors, you may want to become friends with them because you will be able to hear every move they make, the walls are so thin. I now know my neighbors routine just by listening to them stomp around every morning. I'm convinced they are raising baby elephants. Our neighbors have also thrown bleach over their balcony on to ours as well as a glass bowl of teriyaki sauce, multiple toys, and dumped water all over our stuff. We also watched our neighbors across the way get the cops called on them multiple times until the man was arrested and taken to jail for domestic violence. Oh, one last thing, be ready to live with the laziest neighbors ever. The trash shoot is always full and nobody will ever make the effort to go down stairs and throw their trash away, instead they will just flood the trash room with dirty diapers and cat box remains. The hallways are always flooding from rotting ceilings and bursting pipes, their is dog poop everywhere, and the light from across the way shines right into our apartment. I could go on and on. The floor plans are big for Denver, but be prepared for the worst living experience of your life.

Nice and quiet neighborhood. Maintenance response is quick. Amenities are clean and comfortable. The is a little issue with hot and cold water in the shower. And cleanliness and maintenance in the yard and the fountains should be better.

Aside from losing 800.00 pet deposit and having the incorrect rent for four months and NOT UNDERSTANDING for months in a row what the problem was. The place is good. The power CONSTANTLY goes out in the bathroom and they REFUSE to fix it besides resetting power switch which causes me to think they do not care about tenant safety or concern. Apartments give you the most space for your dollar and are affordable . Aside from cabinets and drawers being poorly installed and looking crooked and cheap, the apartment is gorgeous and spacious.

I love Alta Springs, although it isn't cheap the floorplans are very unique and airy, I have windows in my kitchen and bathroom which is unusual for an apartment. Love the trash chutes in each hall. Nice dog park, and very clean pool. Right next to Babi Yar park and lots of retail/restaurants near by. Very good soundproofing, I never hear my neighbors. It seems that the only bad reviews of a lot of apartments stem from rude leasing office staff, they have always been very accomodating and friendly to me.

This apartment complex would be great if it wasn't for management looking over my noise complaints. I have an upstairs neighbor who CONSTANTLY plays loud music...it doesn't matter if it's in the middle of the night or day. Yes, I understand people listen to music but these neighbors are out of control. It's so bad that the three times that I've had the police fill out paper work for the office about the outrageous noise and the management simply told me "they will take care of it" but the noise continues. On the third time the police showed up for my noise complaint they filed yet another complaint and told me I should take either the neighbors to court or file some sort of lawsuit against the apartment complex. These neighbors SCREAM, cuss, jump up and down and act like children with no regard to their surrounding neighbors. If you have a choice between Alta Springs and another complex do yourself a favor and stay far away from this place. Management does not care if you're unhappy or your living situation is borderline unlivable.

My roommate & I have lived here since December, 2015. The apartments are really spacious, updated nicely, the balconies are really large, and w/d is included. We also have a cute little mini bar. Our rent is reasonable and we really enjoy living here. I would definitely recommend these to friends & family. Management has always been nice & professional, and the maintenance guys are so friendly & helpful.

*****WARNING******Do not rent here....We have lived here since Oct 2015 and We are very disappointed with everything here. 1. Our apartment was promised to have the carpets cleaned (we hired a service) 2. The remodel was incomplete, We have old carpet, and stains, and the vinyl baseboard never attached, Unpainted areas behind appliances and in the bathrooms. 3. Security (Ha what a Joke) Doors are broken, Blocked open with rocks, sticks or what ever could be found. Cars have been broken into in the secure garages( not really that secure) 4. Maintenance can be found for anything when thing need fixed or are broken. They close out the service request before it has been done. ( then don't complete the work requests.) 5.Grounds keeping, That's another joke service. It snows they don't show. They have trash and branches on the grounds not picked up. 6. Residents with dog that ---- a piss on the balconies throw it off the balcony on to the sidewalks and lawns. Some residents choose not to pick up after their dogs and leave it for someone else. 7.Noise is out of control, Loud music from the cars rattle the windows and walls, Neighbors above us don't know the meaning of community or respect after 10 pm. Management wants us to call the Denver Police for noise.,...Management needs to step up. 8. 4/22/16 our building had the south glass security door broken and glass shattered all over the hallway. The culprits tried to break into the storage unit down by the garages. and could not.We called the after hours maintenance and nothing was done. We called 4/23/16 to the office and reported it again. ( management is aware and is working on it. per rep BART) 9. Smoke free building (not at this place) They have let persons that smoke Marijuana,Cigarettes,Cigars, The smoke filters into the apartment. We reported it to Management. they did not respond till after 3 request. *****AGAIN WARNING***** DO NOT RENT HERE. DO NOT rent from any Greystar Communities. They have no regards for any residents

BEWARE - I walked down at 7:45 am to head to work, only to find my car towed out my own parking space, despite having my car tag registered to that dedicated space and paying $30 per month for it. We also did not get any help in return from the leasing office, who actually admitted they do not provide the towing company with a list of the cars registered to each space. Good luck living with that level of incompetence.

Alta Springs would be great if there weren't an infestation of pests living in the ceiling or even if the property management were actually doing something to prevent it. This is an issue in multiple buildings onsite. It has also been reported to the health department. The property also began charging me for pest control when it's their responsibility to make the complex habitable based on the terms of the lease and Colorado law. The living experience could be improved if the city condemned the property, demolished the building, and sold the land to a different company. I definitely would NOT recommend this property to a friend (or foe).

I've lived in apartments for over 20 years and this place isn't bad. I would choose this over many places in the metro area because it's quiet and affordable. I don't hear my neighbors very often because the building is older and built better than many new structures. I wish the property was maintained better (sweep the elevators, vacuum the hallways regularly), but overall I am pleased I live here and will probably renew my lease. The Maintenance staff are responsive and friendly.

This is the worst apartment complex I have ever lived in. They screw you over in every way possible. My apartment flooded for 6 months and they didn't even blink an eye. Then when a new manager came in and moved me into a new apartment but didn't reimburse us for costs or anything and still made us pay a new deposit. And now that apartment has issues. I can't use my shower because the water is so hot I burn myself, so I have to take baths. The doors are all broken, the washer doesn't work properly. The garage door from the garage to the apartment building is completely broken and you have to open it with a metal piece. Their package room was broken into and they didn't apologize. They never fix anything, and when I call because the resident portal doesn't work they tell me someone will be out and no one ever shows up. They won't let us out of our lease without paying because they say they fixed everything when they don't. Everyone I have talked to say this is the worst place. Save yourself the trouble and find a better apartment.

I would not recommend living here. The management office does not care about your concerns and their issue follow-up is quite poor. The gym is horrible and there is zero sense of community. If you have the money, look elsewhere.

By far the worst experience I have ever had with apartments or landlords, and I have moved a lot! From the beginning I was misinformed about bills, not told the office would be closed on my move in date after I took off work early to pick up keys, and have constantly had problems with being overcharged every single month!

Apartment layout is fantastic, great amount of space. The model that they showed us was amazing, but the apartment you receive isn't quite the same. The cleaning crew did a horrible job, plastic half taken off of the new fridge, dishwasher didn't work, lights burnt out, holes in the doors. I honestly feel bad for the office staff because they're so deep in tenant issues. Hire a real cleaning crew, maintenance team, and installation team and there wouldn't be so many complaints.

If you want to have reasonable rent in the Denver area and do not care about the quality of finishes in the apartment, this is a fine place to live. The square footage and layout is great. Responses to requests are very slow and there seems to be a constant level of disorder. The leasing office staff is friendly and appears to try to do a good job.

Over the years I have seen Alta Springs blossom with continuing upgrades both inside and around the apartments. It is a lovely place to live with, family oriented, with the staff creating tenant events that bring us together for holiday events year round. I like the feel of community as both the staff and tenants combined make for a place that we call home. I also love the pine trees and foliage that surround Alta Springs giving it a mountain like feel even though we are just minutes from shopping, festivals, restaurants and transportation. I would recommend Alta Springs to those that choose apartment living and love people, animals and a sense of community.

DO NOT MOVE HERE. WORST COMPLEX I HAVE EVER LIVED IN. PEOPLE IN FRONT OFFICE & MANAGEMENT TEAM ARE RUDE AND DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE TENANTS NEEDS OR ISSUES THAT MAY ARISE! I WISH I READ REVIEWS BEFORE MOVING IN 6 YEARS AGO! WOULD HAVE SAVED ME A LOT OF HEARTACHE AND MONEY.

This apartment complex is not organized and financially takes advantage of people when they move out. They have extremely high turn over with their staff and nobody knows what's going on, especially when it comes to billing. When my husband and I lived here we would make frequent trips to the leasing office to discuss issues with the apartment or to pick up packages. Every single time we were in the leasing office we would overhear conversations from previous residence stating that they've been overcharged, or continue to be billed for absurd amounts, when they were under the impression that all of the charges/bills were settled and paid for. We lived there for over 7 years and were ready to move since we recently purchased a house. After overhearing conversations about continuing to be billed after the lease expired, I wanted to be proactive and called 60-days and 30-days prior to the final rent being due, to confirm our final bill (since the last month would be pro-rated). First, when I called the gal that I spoke with said that our final pro-rated rent would be $646 which included the last month of utilities. So I paid this amount. I called closer to the end of the lease to make sure that we didn't have an outstanding balance. They informed us that we owed another $450! For what?! I told that gal I was speaking to, to get with her manager to verify this information and to call me afterwards. The manager Erin called me and said that we only owed $112. She said this amount was for the final bill for utilities; so we paid this amount. Another month passed and we get ANOTHER bill from Greystar (which is the group that now manages Alta Springs). I called Greystar to find out what this bill is, and they say that I have to call Alta Spring. I spoke with Chris Statter whom was the assistant property manager at the time (March 2015), and he stated that this was ANOTHER "final" utilities bill! I didn't want to fight with them and just wanted to be over with this nightmare and I paid the "final" bill, after the assistant manager Chris Statter and manager Erin assured me that THIS would be the final utilities bill. About 2 months pass, and we are once again contacted by Greystar and they inform us to pay $117, or our account would be handed over to collections. I am on fire at this point! I called Alta Springs to find out what was going on, only to be informed that the assistant manager Chris Statter and manager Erin NO LONGER WORK THERE! So, I speak with the current manager Aaron. He states that they have NO RECORD of what was discussed and paid for when the previous management was in charge. Keep in mind that this was only 2 months prior! We paid this "final final" bill and get electronic documentation stating that our account is paid in full and that we no longer have a current balance. This whole process took 6 months to handle AFTER our lease expires! It has been a nightmare to deal with. DO NOT MOVE IN HERE! Sincerely, Previous resident taken advantage of

WARNING, DON'T DO IT! I lived in Alta Springs for a while and had a terrible experience. Here is some of what I have noticed: APARTMENT INTERIOR: -You could always hear the neighbors upstairs walking around. CONSTANTLY AND VERY LOUD!!!! Their floor was very creaky, and it made the apartment tremble. -Apartment finishing was very bad. Some outlets stuck out from the wall a quarter of an inch. -Ceiling leaked water, and not just in a dripping manner. They cut a hole in my ceiling and never fixed it (it's been over 2 months). -There are mice in the apartment APARTMENT EXTERIOR/BUILDING: -Interior carpet was absolutely disgusting, stained, smelly, and destroyed -Elevator was falling apart, the wall and the perimeter handle fell inside the elevator -Interior walls in the building were damaged and dirty. All hallways smell like mold. MANAGEMENT: -The damage deposit takes 45 days. I never see a statement, they just decide what they are going to take off, how much I owe from utilities, and "mail me a chequere if there was anything left". -They don't care about maintenance requests and can go a long time without attending them -They over-charged my rent for over $100 2 months in a row!!! -They billed me for the same amount of rent as usual AFTER my contract was already over AMENITIES: -Pool only opened mid July and closed beginning of September -It was promised that the pool would be heated, and it never was -Out of approximately 12 tanning chairs, 8 were broken and never fixed for the whole summer. -Gym: the equipment was always dirty and broken -Parking lot is always dirty, and it is very common to find used condoms all over the ground -Garages were not maintained at all, there was a MATTRESS left in the middle of the garage for over 3.5 weeks
