DO NOT LIVE HERE. This is by far the most overpriced apartment complex in Denver for what you get: 1) Loud, Messy tenants (mainly drunk college students) 2) Horrible front desk service. The ladies that sit behind the front desk are usually either not there or not paying attention to anyone else but each other. 3) THE TRAIN. Oh my god, the train. Seriously if you like living in a place constantly bombarded by the sound if screeching metal, go right ahead. 4) Waste management. For some reason, the trash chutes are almost always never clear of debris, which consequently makes the surrounding hallways smell of old garbage. 5) Maintenance. It seems that every time something is broken, it takes weeks to replace. For example, key readers, garage doors, elevator buttons, pool, (My AC was out for 3 days before they got someone to come out and fix it during the middle of the summer), .etc. 6) Pool. It's like a frat party every weekend in the summer. People drinking and smoking all over the place like a bunch of high schoolers. 7) Parking. If you have a roommate, extra $125 a month for another parking spot. No roommate? Good luck trying to get friends to come visit you when you know they won't be able to park on the street haha. 8) Management in general screws you. Believe me, they will try to squeeze every last penny out of you when you terminate your lease. Anywhere from obscure cleaning fees to carpet removal costing you well over your deposit amount. The assistant manager, Caswyn Stiles, is probably the most unreasonable person on the face of this earth when it comes to moving out fees. I would give this a 0 if I could, but sadly Yelp doesn't allow such anarchy. Please take my advice and don't end up in the same extremely unhappy living situation that I did.

I moved into this building because it seemed like the nicer choice for the neighborhood and it was reasonably priced for what I felt like I was getting. My apartment was on the second floor, which meant that I had concrete floors - they were super easy to clean and they were a neat addition to the apartment. Overall, I really enjoyed the layout and design of my apartment. When I moved in, the office staff was very friendly, always remembered who I was and what unit I was in, and they were always helpful when I had a problem. For these reasons, I renewed my lease. However, much of the office staff has left since my renewal and the management company has changed. I reported to the staff that there was equipment in the gym that had been broken for weeks - it has been one year and this equipment is still broken. The door to the parking garage on the second floor was jammed for months, meaning residents had to go up to the third floor and come down through another stairwell. These are the more notable problems with the building upkeep since the management change. The parking garage is always open, allowing anyone to come in to the "secure" garage and many guests park on the upper level even though they are assigned spots. Residents with dogs often leave feces in the hallways and on sidewalks. Asking one staff person a question is risky as the answer changes depending on who you ask. Staff is usually rude or not attentive. Any policies that the management states are "strictly enforced" are a joke - between those relating to pets, the pool, and noise, the management is all talk. Overall, the apartment building was definitely at its prime when it was first built but no one has bothered to maintain the building or the amenities. The units are nicer than some in the neighborhood, but the hassle of dealing with office staff, lazy pet owners, and loud drunk people echoing in the complex at all hours definitely outweigh any positive attributes.

My husband and I are new residents at Skye. We were very apprehensive to leave our home in the suburbs to an apartment downtown. We spent months visiting various properties. We were beginning to feel frustrated, scared and hopeless , until we visited Skye. We were lucky to have been helped by Crystal, the assistant manager. She was very helpful and at the same time not pushy and very understanding! How refreshing after months of searching! We finally found our home! The upkeep of the property both inside and out are phenomenal! Great amenities and great location! Very pet friendly as well!

My wife, son and I needed a place to live for 3 months after we sold our house and before we bought a new one. It had been a bit since we had lived in an apartment downtown, so we were a bit apprehensive. Skye 2905 was perfect...great amenities, helpful staff, and a fun location downtown. It was a fun three months being back in the mix, and we'd definitely recommend Skye 2905 to anyone looking to be in a fun location with great amenities.

Amazing Management
I have lived at Skye2905 for over a year and half and I love it here. The ammenities are top notch and the location can't be any better behind Coors Field. The management on site is an amazing staff. They are extremely helpful and respectful of resident needs. I would like to recognize Crystal Szymanski as an exceptional manager. She is very approachable and proactive as an on site manager.

Awesome place!
I so loved living here! I moved out of state and the one I'm in now just so disapointing, it does not even come close in comparing to Skye 2905.....I will be moving back again in a year once my assignment is completed so you can count on I'll be going back here! The staff is so awesome, always so helpful, courteous, and professional. If you are looking for a great place to live, check them out first!

Great Spot to Live
I've been in Skye for two years and I have really enjoyed it. Sky is quite during the week and a fun place to live on the weekends ! During ths summer the pool is a blast and a really great place to meet new people and have a BBQ. On top of the great apartments the staff is really nice and always willing to help.

Worst building I have lived in
This building is awful. I lived here for a year and it went down hill so fast I didn't even know it was so bad until it was too late. There is either dog ---- or garbage in the hallways at all times and people are always yelling in the hallways. The amenities and apartments themselves are great and that's why it such a shame management can't keep their residents under control. There have been thefts in the garage as well as a vandalism and management said nothing about it. They over charged me every month because they couldn't figure out the concessions when the new management took over yet it took 58 days to get my security deposit back. It's such a disappointment that this building is so gross, just like living in a frat house, because it had so much potential. People that have jobs shouldn't live here. I already lived out my glory days in my fratunity, I didn't need to relive it. Parking also sucks. I waited a year to get another spot and it never materialized. I also just love the other posts management obviously wrote. I'd advise you to talk to people that live in the building before signing a lease. Definitely not a bang for your buck. Young adults steer clear, this is the new ballpark lofts. If you're 21 and under have at it!

I LOVE SKYE
I fell in love with Skye the first time I toured it. It is modern and well maintained. The staff is ALWAYS helpful, available and friendly. There is a wide range of ages of the people in the building. I have made many friends here and I enjoy attending the resident events that Skye puts on. Some examples of events include Nuggets and Rockies games, food and drinks at a bar, Superbowl party, etc... Skye also has a fabulous gym with great equipment and it's never too busy. I would definately recommend living here if you like to live in a classy place, are social and like the conveniance of walking to all that downtown has to offer.

Love Skye!
I have lived at Skye for almost 2 years. It is a fun, active place, really close to downtown! It has a big gym with very nice equipment. The clubhouse has a huge big screen with a pool table - very fun for private parties. Plus, Skye has social gatherings to get to know your neighbors. Practically, all my friends live at Skye. My apartment is gorgeous and very modern! They are super dog friendly, with free dog posts with free bags. I can go on and on. If you want an experience in life you will never forget, live at Skye.

This is my third leasing term at Skye 2905....
I just began my third leasing term at Skye this month. I initially began my stay at Skye in a two bedroom and upon expiration, quickly released without the slightest sense of hesitation. Once I got notification that my lease was fast approaching, I quickly scheduled an appointment with one of the ladies downstairs to secure a spot at Skye. The ladies downstairs in the leasing office are always courteous and a pleasure to work with. Its a rarity these days, in a fast pace downtown environment like Denver, that the leasing staff knows ALL their client names. The Skye staff fits this mold. Anytime in passing, I have always been greeted with a smile and a greeting by name. I appreciate that. The maintenance staff is equally as friendly and helpful. Upon placing a maintenance request, the issue is resolved that day or early next. In other places I have lived this resolution time was nowhere close to being common. Initially while touring for the first time, I was concerned with parking. Turns out this hasn't been an issue at all. I have a spot in the gated garage that is assigned to me so that wasn't necessarily my concern. My concern was the availability and convenience of parking for visitors. Through my experiences, I have found that parking is pretty easy to find and most importantly is close in proximity and FREE. The apartment itself is exactly what I want it to be. It satisfies all my needs and I am often complimented whenever I have friends visit about the finding an affordable apartment with nice amenities, great location, and clean and new characteristic to it. All the other apartments I initially toured didn t share all these characteristics. That is why Skye was my final tour stop and the place I now call home. I can't fully articulate how much I enjoy living at Skye. I am a fairly hard person to please, ask my ex. Given the fact that I have signed three leases with Skye speaks volumes about my experience here. Unless presented with the necessity to relocate for career reasons, I will be staying at Skye and leaving no time soon.

Jen is a superstar
I have just re-upped my lease at Skye for a second year. I like how the apartments are appointed, the amenities, and (most of) the residents at Skye. But the main reason I can't leave is Jen in the leasing office. She is a little ray of sunshine and I just can't imagine feeling good signing a sizable check over to anyone else in the foreseeable future. All my friends in the building share my sentiment about her. It's rare to find someone who genuinely cares about your happiness and satisfaction. Cheers to Skye and most of all, Jen.

Going down hill
When we moved in 8 months ago Skye was exactly what we were looking for. It was affordable, the apartments were new, the amenities were great, and the staff seemed friendly. A few months ago the building was bought by a different management company and everything has gone down hill since then. They raised the rent prices a lot, and the apartments now cost a lot more then they are worth. They have also messed up posting our rent on several occasions, and then expected us to pay the fees even though it was their mistake. Each apartment comes with one parking spot, but if you have 2 cars you either have to park on the street (which is IMPOSSIBLE especially during baseball season) or you have to get on the list to add another garage spot (I have been on the list for 8 months and haven't heard anything). A lot of people complain about this building being a "frat house" and from what I have concluded there is a "nice" half and a "frat" half of the building. The "nice" side is the end closest to 20th street (I live on this end, and we have never had problems with dirty hallways, party noise, etc), and the "frat" side is the end near the railroad tracks (the apartments are cheaper on that end). Overall I would say this is a decent apartment building if you are willing to pay the new higher prices. The location is great, and a liquor store just moved in the building which is very convenient.

WORST PLACE IN TOWN
This place is a frat house, no one who is not a college frat guy should choose to live here. Management does not know how to deal with billing. Every month is different...it would be 30 dollars less or 150 dollars more. I moved out almost a year ago and had creditors called me saying that I owed them for Skye....we never missed a bill or paid less then what was asked. We never even questioned it. We did not get our deposit back even though there was absolutely no damage AT ALL. Then we we called to dispute this they could not give a viable explanation for why we were not getting our money back. And now they are still trying to charge us! The place smells like dog poop and there were obvious signs of drug dealing go on in the hallways. DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!!

Like a college dorm
To give you an idea of the type of people that live here, last night someone sprayed the fire extinguisher on the second floor. This set off the fire alarms and summoned the fire department at 3am. If you are in college and like to party this is probably a good place to live, otherwise look elsewhere.

Not Recommended
I moved into Skye the summer it opened and was excited to have found a nice apartment close to everything. For the first 6-9 months, I loved it here and would have recommended it to anyone. Since this spring, EVERYTHING has changed and this place is not what it used to be. The hallways are filthy and have such a horrible odor of dog poop and dirty carpet. There are stains everywhere and it is seriously embarrasing when friends or family visit. I was telling my sister about the dog poop problem in the hallways and sure enough when she came over there was dog poop right across from my door. When I first moved in you would see maintenance workers and grounds keepers working on the property. I haven't seen anyone in months. The "grass" that once was present across from the building is now a mud/dirt pit from all the dog pee and is very unsightly. Like everyone else said, you will hear your neighbors but to me that isn't that unusual for an apartment. My main issue with Skye is the management. I have been billed incorrectly 80% of the time and have to have them fix mistakes constantly. They will put countless random $20-$30 bills on your door and when you go down to ask what it's for and pay it they have no clue what it is for, but still want you to pay it. It's not like $30 breaks my bank, but its annoying to pay your bill that is mailed to you by Skye in full every month and receive extra bills for who knows what. To give this place some positives, it is in walking distance to everything and most things in the apartment have help up nicely (hardwood floors, etc.). I assume there are many other places downtown that also have these qualities but are managed well and clean inside. I will not be renewing my lease when it ends. I really think Skye could have been a great place and it is a shame such a new building is going downhill so fast.

great place for a deaf person
if you are deaf then you wouldn't have anyproblems living here, for those that can hear it is a different story. the place is right next to 4 railroad tracks that are constantly going by all hours of the day or night. parties that start on friday don't stop till the folloing monday. the current owners would rather have the security guards tell people to put their dogs on a leash than to keep the place quiet

Don't live here. It was obvious that my neighbor sold drugs on a daily basis. After months of trying to get out of my lease (and being denied), I up and left. Now in a legal battle with the place. Horrible place to live.

Do not choose this place unless you love to party and can tolerate dog feces in the hallways
Though the building and grounds are new and quite nice, the place is loud, especially on weekends. I have had so many encounters with incredibly rude and "entitled" folks. I have been honked at, flipped off and told to - - - - - - - . Why, because I drive 15 mph on the private road and in the parking garage instead of ripping through. We have not had one weekend night that we have not been awakened with drunks yelling and or squealing as they wonder home at 2 a.m. It is certainly a poor choice for professional people who expect a certain level of civility and communal respect.

AWEFUL place to live
I moved in last April when the building was still fairly empty and the management sold us on a quiet building with great amenities including coffee and a fridge full of sodas. That went away pretty quickly. This building was pretty good for the most part of the year. The only complaint I had up until 2 months ago was that the management was completely incompetent and couldn't for the life of them figure out how to send an email response to any complaints I had. They also haven't honored my discount for rent... And tell me I've been stiffing them by a couple hundred dollars a month when it's in my lease that I have a concession. 2 months agoneverything got VERY BAD. I think they may have switched over management because everyone who used to work there seems to be gone. There are no maintenance people anymore which has become a real problem. The hallways have puke in them often and dog poop always covers the grounds. I paid $100 to rent the party room and it was trashed when my guests and I arrived. There are better places out there and you couldn't pay me to live here. The people that live here really aren't that bad but no one seems to be respectful of others and keepnit down after 10pm. I live on the courtyard and have literally had to call the police at 3am 6 times. I now spend all my time at my boyfriends house because it has become an increasing problem. I have done everything to get management to recognize these problems but they are inexperienced and don't speak English. I have contacted corporate even and nothing changed. Unless you're looking to live at Ballpark Lofts equvilant then find somewhere else. Metro is even nicer. I definitely feel let down and ripped off.

---- Hole
The title of my review should explain everything. At first you might be thinking to yourself wow, this place is awesome! I have a clubhouse with a pool table and 3 TV's and a sweet pool with hot chicks running all over the place. Think again. This place seems to be chock full of Ed Hardy/Affliction/True Religion/(Insert toolbag clothing brand here) wearing douchebags. You know the type. Mostly post-CU frat guys/sorority chicks who love going to Larimer Square and ordering shots of Jager. They still think they are in college and are so clique-ish it makes you think you are in high school again. You will get no sleep onAs far as the apartment goes it is your typical run of the mill builder who lacks the desire to put any craftsmanship (or in some cases common sense) into building something that will actually last more than 10 years. As mentioned previously, the countertops are not sealed. This is not a huge deal but tells you something about the lack of quality/pride in ones work. Our ceiling leaks, and when we brought up this issue to management 3 months ago they said they would "send someone out". I have yet to see this so called maintenance man. Dog ---- is everywhere, including the hallways INSIDE of the complex. I own a dog, but have the common courtesy to pick up after him. Unfortunately some things will never change. Denver will always be full of idgits who drink PBR and ride fixed gears. By all means avoid this place!! To recap here are some Disqualifiers: 1) Do I wear Ed Hardy? 2) Did I love my frat bros (no ----)? 3) Do I love the smell of dog ---- in the morning? If you answered yes to any of these, congratulations! Skye 2905 is the perfect fit!

Lodo's Own Greek House
When I first moved in, I was pretty excited to have a nice, clean, brand new residence in downtown that was fairly affordable. Before long, the benefits were totally outweighed by the negatives of living in Skye. While aesthetically, the units are nice, they are built exactly how you'd expect a mass-unit complex: apparently hurried fixtures, shoddy floors, and generally a lack of detail for all things in-unit (paint under granite, poor cabinet fixtures). The personality of the complex is young, which isn't awful, except for when those young people are more-or-less greek system carry-overs with no sense of social respect or community. Anticipate garbage around the community grounds every weekend, including an awful lot of PBR cans. Seriously, I thought hipsters were more socially-conscious. There are some nice people that live here, but the predominance are self-entitled, self-absorbed, clearly still living on daddy's credit card young 20-somethings that play awful music, have no sense of community respect, and generally disregard all norms of apartment living. "Security guards" are a joke and have failed to prevent numerous break-ins to the garage and resident vehicles. There was a gd Judge Judy episode that included one resident having her car lip-sticked and baseball-bat beaten. Good work guards. Rules are seemingly arbitrarily enforced (dog policies). I could say more, but what else do you need to know? Find another place where you, your belongings, your peace and sanity, and your money can go a lot farther.

Takes a special breed to tollerate this place
My wife and I were pretty excited to move here and at first it wasnt bad, it was still new and quiet because it had not been filled. The staff is nice but young and inexpirienced for the most part, if you have a problem it will eventually get fixed. Too many dogs, I cant complain because I have one of them, but at least I clean up after my dog unlike most of the lazy young people who live here. Tenets for the most part are your frat boys and sorority sisters who couldnt say goodbye to their friends after graduation so they moved in together. People are either loners or have a high school type cliques. Parking sucks but what can you expect for being downtown? We pay an extra 50-75 dollars for an extra spot...well worth the investment. Noise can be bad, people for the most part cannot grasp the concept they have neighbors that dont like to party on a tuesday night. I have a place away from the main drag so I dont notice it to much besides the weekends when people are walking through the courtyard and when I walk out in the morning dodging broken beer bottles. Occasionally people get stupid drunk and you seriously contemplate murdering someone. Some are really lazy with their trash, but the house keepers do a pretty good job. Our apartment is great, they didnt seal the counters so be carefull. Our last place didnt either so we had bought some sealer, costs about 7 bucks at target, its nice to have. All and all its an ok place but nothing special, and the price tag is definently not worth it. If you have money and want a fairly close place to lodo and dont mind drunk kids and dogs this is your place. oh yea, beware of getting a place by the train tracks, the train stops in the area so be ready for the sound of train breaks.

Effing Hate It!!
This place is awful. My husband and I have lived here since May and cannot say a good thing about it. The office staff and management are very friendly, but seem to be more worried about taking their friends of the complex to Nuggets and Rockies games more so than actually doing their jobs and enforcing the rules. Sure they send out notices when someone complains about all the dog poo everywhere but I have yet to see it enforced. We have personally been "warned" to leave our dogs on a leash but everyday we go out and there are numerous people who have their dogs off leash or are staring into space as their dog deficates right in front of them and they "forget" to pick it up! As you can tell there is a horrible feces issue here and unless you love looking at it and smelling it, this isn't the place for you. We have thought seriously about calling the health department to come and check it out. Now on to the apartments...they are very VERY horribly built. The carpet in the bedrooms is awful. I vaccumed one day shortly after moving in and the carpet in the corner came up and was very poorly secured to the concrete underneath. On another review I read that their countertops were not sealed and that is very true. If you leave a glass of water on the counter and let it sweat or if it spills, you get water rings, granted they go away after awhile, that still wouldnt happen if they were sealed. Parking is horrible and there have been several break-ins and the garage doors almost never work. I would call this place a glorified fraternity house. If you enjoy sleeping at night, DO NOT LIVE HERE. Drunk college students come and go as they please and WILL keep you up. It has gotten so bad on the weekends that my husband and I do not even stay here anymore, we stay with family so we can get a decent nights sleep. People stomp around and play their music and video games terribly loud. I might come across as an older person but I am 22 and my husband is 25 and we like to go out and have a good time too however we still RESPECT other people. I think one of the things that gets me most about this place are the trash rooms. On the first floor you might as well clothes pin your nose shut because it smells so bad and the poor maintenance guy ALWAYS has to clean up other peoples trash because they are too LAZY to walk in, pull open the trash chute (which is basically just puting your trash on the floor of another roomm), and throw it in. This doesnt sound too hard right?? NO for some people they just set it on the floor and go about their business. All in all, you can decide for yourself but it is overpriced for what you get, its gross, and its a dorm basically. I sounds very appealing hence the reason we signed a lease. We will not be signing another lease and will be out ASAP!!!

Don't listen to the haters. This place is awesome.
For any apt. complex you will have a bunch of Nancys who write reviews because they have never lived anywhere but their patents place and can't comprehend that when you live with complete strangers they may be different then you. I've lived in several denver apt. complexes and this is by far the best. Balcony is awesome, pool is going to be a huge party this summer, floor plans are great, and the neighbors I've meet so far are good people. Definitely a great place if your a 20 something who wants to live somewhere that they can walk to the bar, Coors, ect. Sure the apt can be a little noisey but if you move to downtown denver a stones throw from Lodo and expect quiet you are a complete moron.
