Beautuful place and area. Great amenities, great maintenance service, located close to everything in DC. Only a bit noisy with lots of ambulances passing through all the time. But everything else is perfect.

The building is beautiful and the location is very desirable. However, the level of service from the front desk is horrible and they apply rules and policies differently for different residents. They are dismissive and unhelpful when they make mistakes.

Overall, good experience as a resident. The apartment itself is similar to other buildings in the area, standard updated countertops, washer/dryer, building amenities (looked at several before going to this one). The layout sold me over other places, there are several options that make it easier to suit what you need (I wanted a separate dinning space from the living room). The apartment location is great, close to downtown and the Mall, walking distance to several neighborhoods, metro and buses make it easy to not have a car. Young professionals are the majority, would not think of the community as child friendly.

All excellent except the other residents are too young and treat the property like a dormitory. Please recruit more professionLs and less youth. Please that's all I have to say it's sad I have to say so much

My husband and I have lived here for almost two years, since August 2016. We have plenty of thoughts. Pros: 1. The building is new and modern, with all the benefits that come with it (looks nice, decent gym, business center with printer, etc). 2. Rent is good relative to comparable buildings in other parts of the city like the West End which is where we'd ideally like to live if we were willing to cough up an additional $1k+/month. 3. Sarah D. at the leasing office is fantastic. She's understanding and adaptive. Work with her if you can. No one else we've interacted with there has been very helpful or accommodating. 4. There are zero rodents or pests, which is a common problem in this swampy city. 5. The highway entrance is right next to the building. You never deal with gridlock when trying to get to Virginia, which means that Reagan (DCA) is less than 10 minutes away. A couple additional location-related pros - there's a 24-hour grocery store across the street and multiple healthy fast casual restaurants and good coffee shops within a couple blocks. 6. The rooftop is big and well-designed with lots of seating. It's a nice place to hang out. 7. Garage parking for guests is not bad - $11/day. They have a couple apartments you can rent for $150-200/night if you have visitors. We used this once over the Christmas holiday but they do get snapped up quickly. Cons: 1. I don't have pets and moved here as a cat person who was neutral about dogs. I now HATE dogs. There are so many in this building that it is suffocating. About once every couple months, I wind up on an elevator with dogs that want to attack each other, am jumped on by someone's dog, and see puddles of dog urine in the elevators and vestibules. The building tries to keep up but it's a major problem in my opinion. Even the dog owners seem annoyed by all the other dogs. 2. Each unit has its own hot water heater tank (rather than a central system) and they are tiny. If two people take ten-minute showers back to back, the hot water will run out. My husband and I have to plan our mornings around this. 3. The units are built cheaply. Walls are thin, and you can hear dogs barking quite literally all day while their owners are gone during business hours. In winter, the windows condense and drip water onto the floor. Clear sign of cheap construction. Visually the units have a 'developer standard' feel. 4. There are no good parks nearby. You have to walk a mile north or south to hit a good place to sit in the grass or toss a Frisbee. 5. Living on the north side of the building over New York Ave is a total disaster. Don't do it. In the middle of the night and early in the morning, when fire engines with sirens roll through and blare their horns, you are guaranteed to wake up. This happens to us nearly every night. 6. The building can feel like rowdy a dorm, especially in the common areas like the rooftop. We're in our mid-30s and must be the oldest people who live here. Something that isn't a positive or negative but worth noting - you need an electronic key to get anywhere in the building, which is good for security but a hassle for having visitors. Overall, as long as you choose a unit away from New York Ave and find a way to tolerate the dog overpopulation, I'd recommend this building.

Great staff, quick maintenance services. Noisy neighbors, rooftop is always busy and dirty. Club lounge is used for party so you can't just go there to use the space, and people don't respect the pool table, so it's also dirty, and not good for playing.

It real good. Like real real good. When I say it is good, I mean it! You not know how good it be. It be the bestest apartment complex in all of the 400 block of L St. I plan to live here the rest of my time as United States citizen.

We just moved into the phase one building last Friday. The move in process was seamless from start to finish. Maintenance has been really responsive, and the apartment and amenities are beautiful. We also have two Corgis and love how pet friendly the property is. My only downfall right now is that we had to get a house phone because there is no signal with ATT. Other than that, no complaints! I would definitely recommend to someone looking in the area.

It is a great place to live overall. The reputation of the other Meridians is that they are "frat houses" or "college dorms". This one feels less like that. There are a lot of young couples. The rooftop pool gets packed and the grills get used a lot. The light bulbs go out in the apartments pretty frequently. But maintenance replaces them.

Nice amenities, although the roof can get crowded in the summer. Good location across from Safeway. While I never hear my neighbors, you can hear everything in the hallways due to the doors being constructed with a large gap above the floor.

Satisfactory living environment - but service has not been up to par- I.e. I was not informed that the replacement of the floor was done with used floor boards from other units! That explains the fact that there was little improvement from the floor that was flooded- the faucet is still not changed after months!! and it dangles on the kitchen counter- I had a graduation celebration with guests commenting on the faucet loose coming apart every time we tried to use it- AC unit does not cool master bedroom ??Explanations are mostly incomprehensible at best- outrageous to tell me that the master AC doesn't cool because it's so far away from the AC unit- this is not a large space by any stretch of the imagination. And the broken faucet is not replaced because management is waiting for the decorator to pick the new model- 5 months guys! What else can I say?

I preferred this apartment because of the location. It is very close to my university. The appliances are good so far. The gym is very adequate, and the equipment is new. Also, the building has a roof which will be joyful for the summer. However, I have to say that I didn't like the move-in process and its management. The leasing office proposed us two offers before we applied for the apartment. The first one was to waive the amenity fee which they fulfilled. The other one was to make the %50 discount the first month's rent which they did not fulfill. Actually, after we applied for the apartment, they just said the second deal was available for the second phase of the apartment and your apartment was on the first phase so this deal was not valid for you. However, I had the brochure which was given to me when I came to the leasing office, and the leasing office wrote down on the brochure (i will upload the photo of the brochure I am still keeping it) "there were two offers if we applied for the apartment." Anyway, after we applied for the apartment, one of the deal was gone. That is why if you want to apply one of this apartment you have to be sure about their deal. Anyway, the second disappointment was the apartment was not clean (the closet's of the kitchen and bathroom were in the dirt, and also the blinds were not clean.) Overall, I wish the deal which was promised to us before the rent application had been made was fulfilled. Moreover, I wish to see the inside of the kitchen's and bathroom closets and blinds were clean. I had to clean them by myself.

Wonderful apartment thus far. I am loving the package concierge along. It's wonderful to know my packages are safe in the hands of the apartment. The move-in process was smooth and professional. The gym is large and large enough for many residents to use.

While the front desk has been awesome, some of the other staff has been difficult. The leasing office tried to blame me when my electronic door lock stopped working, and while maintenance is friendly most issues generally take at least 2 service calls to fix.

Meridian is a few years old but everything in my apartment feels brand new. Staff is friendly and helpful. There is a nice gym space, relative to other apartments buildings in the neighborhood. Lots of good restaurants in the immediate surrounding area. Apartments that overlook New York Avenue can be noisy.

I love my apartment but there are many things that need to change, which I already listed before in this survey. First, bike surveillance. Second, the effectiveness and kindness of the people of the front desk (especially a lady that its during the day which takes a lot of time to give the packages and has a terrible attitude). Third, some bbqs that are broken since the two years that I've been living here. Fourth, the cleanness of the carpets and elevators. Five, the guest system (it is very unpleasant to have to go down for a guest in the 21st century. IT is an absurd and antique system). Six, the recycling system and having to go down with the boxes.

So far we have had a very pleasant experience living in this community. The staff are friendly and helpful, and there are a number of perks to living in this building such as the rooftop and pool. Really wish utilities were included in the rent, but otherwise feel that our lease payment is fair and reflective of quality.

It's a great place to live. It's very conveniently located and . We're close to several metro stations, bus stops and the interstate. This makes it easy to get to everything. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I enjoy living here.

The customer service is unprofessional in this apartment complex. While it is a beautiful building, the front desk is never around and it's very difficult to have maintenance issues addressed in a timely manner.

I do not wish to leave a comment on this apartment building. I am not sure why this field is mandatory and I find that extremely annoying. 200 characters minimum is also really annoying, I'm just trying
