This building is situated in a bustling area that is close to most parts of the city. Before moving here I thought it might be difficult to get around but that has not been the case. Close access to metro and the circulator is a big plus. Then you have a supermarket barely a block away!

Overall Positive - the apartments are clean and modern and open and the common spaces offer great amenities. I wish that the pet deposit was refundable and that there wasn't an hourly rate for renting the common room upstairs. The Gables across the street only has a deposit for their club room which makes it more enticing to host events and use the space.

I love it here. I love how open the management is to subletting (adding additional occupants) and having temporary keys made for when I have guests over for the weekend. The staff has been so helpful and kind for my extended move-in process and deliveries of furniture. This place really has it figured out and understands how to cater to young professionals or graduate students who want to live fulfilling lives with friends, pets, and conveniences that really make a difference.

I just moved in 5 days ago, so not too much experience with the community. However, the nights have been quiet, and people are respectful of one another.

Returning to Washington after a 15-year absence, I was mortified by the cost of housing. It was bad in '97; it's abominable in '13. That having been said, it's a fabulous city and worth the financial sacrifice. The city has changed tremendously, and Mt. Vernon Triangle--once a war zone--feels safe first and foremost. It's got some street life, and if not as developed as Dupont or Logan Circle, has services within easy walking distance: a big (awful, but big) Safeway literally across the street, 5-6 restaurants in the same complex (City Space), dry cleaner, etc. I don't Metro, but there are two stops w/in a ten-minute walk. The building is about a year old and therefore still nice and new. The free coffee in the lobby is a great perk (pun intended), though the machine is prone to defaulting, probably from overuse. But the $5 I save a day on Starbucks helps offset the rent. I'm on the top floor, so no above noise and, thankfully, so far the units on either side of me are very quiet. I DO hear noise emanating from a few units as I walk from the elevator to my apartment, and there are certainly online reviews noting the noise from some younger residents. You always roll the dice with this. There ARE a lot of young folks here--I'd guess the average age is less than 30--so beware. The front desk staff are all terrific, and the leasing agents are great--Sarah in particular was exceedingly accommodating. The first-floor gym is pretty good if crowded at key times. Anyone 1/2 way serious about fitness will have a gym membership anyway, but it's nice to have. As a dog lover and owner, I love that pets up to 80lbs are allowed. It's a very dog-friendly building, which to me is terrific. There's a non-negotiable and non-refundable $400 pet deposit and $50/month pet rent--kind of obscene, but right in line with other buildings. Parking is $195 a month for an un-reserved space (there are no reserved available); again, obscene but on point for the market. I've never had to go below the 2nd parking level. Most of all, the building is safe, the neighborhood is safe (that 24-hour Safeway may bring a shady character or two, but they're eclipsed by the increase in street traffic). I like the building a lot.
