Top of the Hill Apt men's is a great place to live. It is set bak in a woods and tree setting. This makes it very quite. They allow all kinds of dogs regardless of weight or size. This makes our lab very happy since there are not many places that would take her with us. Top of the Hill has many walking paths and 2 parks within walking distance which makes it convent for dog walking and exerise. In the summer time the pool and pool parties are great. The Apartments are also close to shopping area and fine resturants. Downtown Wilmington is only 10 minutes away with nightly intertainment and more fine restaurants. Our favorite is Harry's Resturant

I love living at Top of the Hill Apartments. Its location to work and stores couldn?t be better. Most days I can be at work within 8-10 minutes and I work in the city of Wilmington. There is ample shopping very close by including supermarkets, restaurants, parks, and just about anything you could need. Top of the Hill Apartments is also only about 25 minutes away. Very convenient for me since I have to fly frequently for work. It is also nice to be close to the Philadelphia sporting arenas. As for the property itself, it is very quiet and peaceful. It is well off of any main roads, so there is never any traffic noise or congestion. I-95 North is situated somewhat close to the property, but the natural screen of trees between the road and the property make for a good sound barrier. Also, that portion of I-95 is not close to an exit, so traffic basically rolls by without any noticeable noise. The office staff and maintenance personnel are very professional, friendly and very visible. The rental rates are reasonable, considering all of the convenience and amenities that come with the property and its location. I lived at Top of the Hill back in 1988 and loved it so much so, that when I again needed to find an apartment in North Wilmington, I didn?t even consider looking anywhere else.

The Staff was very helpful and knowledgeable and made me feel very welcome!! Being new to the area, they patiently answered my questions about the closest and best grocery stores and helped me find all other places that i needed. Over all, the staff made me feel very welcome. They called a couple of times to make sure I was settled in and comfortable and offered their help if I needed it. Wonderful Staff!! I am glad i found Top of hill.

I was hired in the Wilmington area and needed to find a place to live in less than one week. I was able to find a very nice two-bedroom available at Top of the Hill Apartments. I thought it was too good to be true! There are no words for how grateful I am to have found such a fantastic community to become apart of!

This property has a nice diversity of people, it's kid and dog friendly, the pool is great and never crowded, the grounds are nice and pretty quite for the most part. I just wish they had more than 1 washer and dryer in the laundry room. For 6 apartment units in each building it should have at least 2 sets in the laundry room, three would be ideal, one for each floor. Also I wish the BBQ grills were located throughout the complex instead of inside the pool area. This being very limiting when you want to entertain around the grill, as the pool area only allows a max of 2 guests. Other than that I give it an A-.

It's been okay. I wouldn't stay any longer than my lease though and I'm actually thinking of leaving early is a job opportunity comes through for me. The noise is improved from my last place of residence, but there are so many kids it's still noisy when they're out playing, or if there's a baby above you screaming. The walls are particularly thin around where the heater/AC unit is, so if someone is talking there, you can hear the entire conversation or their TV blasting. Smells also flow easily from unit to unit. I live next to Indian/Asian people who seem to use a lot of spices and it has definitely messed with my asthma at times, to the point that I'd open all the windows and leave for a while. There are no locks on building doors which is unsafe to me. Anyone could walk right up to your door if they wanted to. This is the first place I lived that did not have a security code on the door or some type of lock. The parking, at least where my unit is, is ridiculous past 5pm. Prepare to get creative. But make sure your bumper is not past a no parking zone or you will get a ticket. I've gotten 3 already and haven't been here a year. If you don't like dogs, look elswhere, as this is dog pallooza. Luckily there are none in my building, so I really can't comment on the noise level they may create. Most seem well behaved though and the owners pick up the poop. Landscaping during the summer is like every other day, so be prepared for that noise. Grounds are usually well kept up til Sunday when people just seem to put trash everywhere. It's usually gone by monday though. The workout center leaves much to be desired. There are like 4 pieces of equipment and the one seems like it's breaking. A friend and I visited once and then we decided to join Planet Fitness. There's a pool but i haven't been. The number of kids at this place deters me from even venturing over there. One thing i have missed is my relationship with my neighbors. No one really talks, and I think for everyone in my building, English is their second language. Definitely not as friendly as other places I have lived. Staff is good. Some are excellent, and one is so-so. I wish they were a bit more communicative with things like if someone's moving in or out, if they're painting in the hall, etc. Some things they tell you about, but other things just happen. They painted the halls the other day without notice and without ventilating the place. I was heading out to get groceries and got turned around as soon as I opened my door due to the fumes. My asthma is very reactive and this was no exception. Overall it's an okay community. I'm sure some people love it. I think it depends where your unit is and your neighbors. I've talked to a few people who have changed units and said they were happier once they changed. Assigned parking, like one car per unit would be an amazing upgrade. It would give people a fighting chance especially if you work late. It's a bit pricey I think for the area, but they run deals often on craiglist and what not, so catch them if you can. All and all you could be A LOT worse off, believe me. I've lived in a lot of places and this is far from the worst, but definitely not the best. And lastly the maintenance and grounds workers are all really sweet and nice. That's all I've got. Best wishes in your search.

Great office staff. Great maintenance staff. While the community is nice, and safe, there are some items to address. Those mainly being, for the rent amount charged the units should offer washer/dryers, and a garbage disposal. These are just common place these days.

I have been living at the Top of the Hill for almost 3 years and it had been a great experience. I had not lived in an apartment for over 20 years so I was nervous, but the staff is outstanding, the apartment is quiet, my neighbors are friendly and the public areas are always clean.

I've lived at Top of the Hill for nearly a year now. It's a great place to live. There are lots of families and it's very dog friendly. I can walk the dog at night by myself and feel safe. It's also very reasonably priced, especially for what you get. We have a 1 bedroom and both the kitchen and bathroom have been renovated. Our layout also has a TON of closet and storage space. It's not walkable to any shops and restaurants but it's close enough that you can hop in the car and be at a grocery store in about 3 minutes.

I lived at Top of the Hill for 1 year. It was a great place to Live. I love to walk and there was plenty of hills and neighborhoods to walk in. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. The Maintenance Crew are always available, friendly and willing to serve. My neighbors were quiet and respectful. The whole complex seems quiet. I rarely even saw people or heard noise. I would have stayed longer had I not needed to move. I Highly recommend this place.

I am very pleased with the apartment complex so much so I moved to a two bedroom in Jan 2017. We had talked to Amber in the office to keep an eye out for a two bedroom with the open Kitchen style as Michael was moving to DE in Jan. So I rec'd a call from Amber that something had opened up for us if we wanted it, and we did. Had a few things that needed to be sorted out. I love the area as it's close to highways but not to far from the Wilmington city and Philly too. If only we could close the pool on Wednesday's instead of Monday so we can make long weekends. Just went to a new place to eat for us in Wilmington last night.
