We've lived in apartments in Souther California, so we know variety. The Palms is far better than most you will find. The staff is A . I've realized that people like to complain, I think it's in their nature to be unhappy people. We've had no issues with the staff...all good people. What problems we have had which is one...it was handled right away and handled very well. The problems are as with any place you live, Residents. The residents can make or break a property. I've noticed most residents refuse to fallow simple rules and just have common decency. Is this the fault of management? I think not my friends. The Palms of Clearwater has been good to us. The living and the staff.

I moved out this last weekend, thank goodness for that. I am a school teacher that has been living in Florida for about 11 years now. I must say to anyone wanting to move into a nice apartment community, DO NOT MOVE HERE! They simply just do not care about you once you move in. I was so upset when a part of my roof caved-in, and my living-room was drenched with water. They finally fixed it after four times. Good thing for renters insurance, but it gets even better. Three months later, it happened again; this time in my bedroom. It really comes down to this for me, people, the leasing office acted as though, it was the most common thing that happens. They actually had the nerve to tell me I was over reacting. This company doesn't deserve your business, be careful and good luck with all your endeavors.

I love it here. I have been here ten months and am going to sign a second year. When I have something I need fixed they are right over and fix it. I do not have bugs. I keep my home clean and if I see any sign of a bug I call for the bug person and he shows up on Tuesday. I have to say I love the gym. I work out all the time. Having it open all the time is awesome. I noticed someone broke the grill, that is a bummer cause I like cooking out. But i know they wil fix it and I will be grilling again! I have read all the other comments and just have never had their bad luck here. I love it here and will be here for a long time.

If you are looking for a nice place to call home DO NOT MOVE IN HERE! These apartments are the worst apartments I've ever lived in. They do not take care of their tenants and the staff are complete -------s. When I moved in my dishwasher was filled with roaches and mold. It took them 3 months to put in a new one after they lied and said it would take a week . Also my roof leaks during any type of storm, all of my things get ruined and they have not fixed the problem yet.. They told me that if I'm worried about my things getting ruined then contact renters insurance because they can't do a thing about it, the manager was a ----- to my WHOLE family when they brought up their concerns on this living environment . Also we pay 50$ for a gate pass that we don't even need because the gates are broken and will NEVER be fixed any longer then a day or two. This complex is horrible and the only dumpster is directly behind a trailer park and is not safe to walk to at night. Also there is never ANY parking when I am off work, I have to park at least 5-10 min away from my apartment. This place is disgusting as well, crawling with roaches in every cabinet and on the walls. They will not let you try to kill them either because any type of spray interferes with the spray they "use". ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING, HORRIBLE PLACE TO LIVE AND PAY 700 IN RENT TO!!!

This Place is right next door to a nasty trailer park. There are some trouble makers who live there and have been hopping the fence at night to steel what they can. I caught one attempting to steel a tool box. My neighbor had two bicycles taken from his screened-in patio. Heavy smokers live in the unit behind me, My wife and child along with myself have to breathe the second hand smoke which gets so bad at times; as if we had smokers light up right in my home. The office personal told me there is nothing they can do about it and if it is a real issue for us, we can always move out. Becky, the office manager at the time, ACTUALLY SAID THAT, word for word. The joining walls are paper thin and I can hear my upstairs neighbors speaking in their bedroom, when I am quiet in my bed reading a book, or on my laptop. l will be moving out very soon, they simply will not address the insulation problem and there are just too many other issues even if they did. This has been a horrible experience.

I have to say this apartment complex since the remodel is amazing. Maggie in the leasing office is a five star employee. Nice kind and very attentive and responsive to your needs. The only bad side is the trailer park behind it but they never have caused trouble since I have lived here. Things have changed since the old reviews. My apartment is pretty quiet ac works perfect. New pool and fountain area is gorgeous. Very good job guys you turned this place around!

WARNING!!! DO NOT RENT HERE!!! This complex used to be Coral Cove and now it is the elustrius Palms of Clearwater. I moved here 4 years ago into a 2 bed 1 bath apartment. The Managers Demetrius, Bob and Samyra were amazing!! The rent was great and they offered specials when you re-signed your lease, they responded to your needs immediatly. 3 Years ago I was able to move to a 2 bed 2 bath apartment that I really love. However this new Management company has made living here an absolute nightmare. They tore out the screen porches and left them open for 6 months. I had a baby snakes in my living room. They finally replaced the screens leaving gaps in the hardware and then a month later they tore them out again. My air conditioning has flooded my bedroom twice and has ruind my carpet. To get these Bozos out to remedy the situation has been impossible. One Saturday I left a message on the Emergency Maintenance line 5 times with my phone and apartment number. 5 times !!! The guy finally called on Monday. He said he returned my call (once) and that I must have left the wrong tel number. Did I leave it wrong 5 times?? Plus I had left My apartment number 5 times as well. My bathroom counter has been buckled and warped since I moved in. Here's the ---- kicker, almost every apartment has damaged blinds, because they are cheap and they break in the Florida sun. My blinds have been broken from my Jack Russell trying to look out them, but a week ago I went to raise them and the whole top rail snapped. Not more than two days later I get a note on my door telling me Opps!! my blinds are damaged and that I needed to replace them within seven days or the maintenance dept(remember the one that can't write down a tel number correctly 5 times) will replace them at a cost of $50.00 to me. Out of 4 years My rent has only been late one time. And it was 12 hours late. They refused my rent, took my check and stuck it into the door with a note charging me a $100.00 late fee. Now they have torn down the leasing office and has taken up a good 8 parking spaces in front of my building so if you come in late you have to park on the other side of the complex. They took out the mailboxes and never let anyone know where the mail was being held. They replace the mailboxes and never let us know that we have to come by the office to get new keys. But they can put notes in our doors telling us our blinds are broke. IT GETS BETTER!!! I noticed that the new rates on new customers have increased $100.00- $150.00. They are putting a security access gate, that has a 6 foot gap on either side of the posts. The pool and hot tub (shut down by the city and has never worked) has been closed all summer. They have rules like only 2 plants allowed on your porch, they don't address your air conditioning unless it over 78 degrees. The maintenance man lives a good 45 mins away so if you have an emergency on a weekend it takes him a good hour and half to get to you. The tenants move in and out around my apartment so frequently that the roaches are always invading my apartment. The apartments are frought with black mold. The management says spray your walls and window sills with bleach. Then the mold guys says don't do that because the roaches feed on the bleach. There is a office person named Becky, who has the most annoying voice, and never accomodates you because it's always the tenant's problem. After 4 years of living here with never being late with my rent, I get a notice stuck in the crack of my door (not in the mailbox) that they are NOT renewing my lease. By Florida law they do not have have to tell me why. Obviously they need to renovate my apartment and jack up the price. When more than half the apartments are empty, the grouds are a shamble due to the construction and now prospective tenents cant even get onto the grounds to inquire about renting, what is the future like for the PALMS OF CLEARWATER?? My car was broken into (June of this year 2012) . I uploaded the pictures so you are able to see the damage the low lifes did to my car.Protect your property. I have a new car now with an alarm,I hope nothing like this ever happens again because it isn't a good feeling to have something like that to happen. I've lived here for 2 years and I'm mixed on how I feel about living here this place has gone through many changes.I really don't want to move around so I'll give it time and see if changes are made.I'll update this at a later

These peolple are very rude went to the office to let them know we need a few things fixed and that I was calling for about A month they said exactly like this "we are human and you should have to keep calling us to remind us because we are human" wait a second I thought that was your job........ I have lived here for three years and I will NOT be sighning a new lease with them..... I would rather live in Green wood that goes in talkin for its self can't wait till my lease is up........my AC vent in my guest bed room hasn't worked at all they basicly tell me there is nothing they can do about it. They told me my vent was to far away from the AC when it is right bellow my window.... this is only a two bedroom apt. They haven't sent us any letters about the work they would be doing for example I went to check the mail and to my surprise there where no mailboxes no warning or any thing also they started constrution on the office and closed the pool with no notice realy in the hottest time of the year what ever you do don't move here you would rather live outside or I a hote!!!!!.

What a dump!!!!!!

Hate everything about this dump! Hot tub is broke for 2 years! The slum Lords refuse to fix anything!! They let people walk their dogs in the griil area & dont pick up the crap!! The slum LOrds lie continuously!! If i had somewhere else to go id be there!!!

Don't believe everything that you read!

I've lived at this apartment community for 7 years and I love it! Although the property had gone through many ownership and management changes in the past (eight that I can remember) the NEW owner & managment team (as of November 2011) are awesome. The property has never looked better and the customer service has really improved. The property has recently been painted and is about to start renovations which should be really nice to see. I don't want to live anywhere else!

Don't Be Fooled - This is a dangerous place to live!

Moved to FL from WI in 2006. my first apt. had a roof leak over the toilet! Told office mgt. (Jasmine) about it and she nastily replied, 'so what should I do about it? Eventually roaches took over and I moved into a larger refurbished unit in 2007. Huge turnover in office staff & maintenance people. They accuse residents of not paying rent on time when the do. I was accused twice! As the economy deteriorated in 2008, Bob, an owner who shows off his Bentley when he's on premises, he started letting in felons, drug dealers, and anybody who would pay rent. In 2010, apartments were broken into and police were there weekly. I finally had enough and moved out. Passed by the day and there is the phoney 'Under New Management' banner. Beware, the place is a nightmare!

Not safe at all

Lived here for three years but should have moved within a few months. Roaches were everywhere. Mold buildup every winter. Very noisy place to live. No background checks. They let any low-life live here. Feces in pool twice.

I am very happy living here.... rent is resonable and location is great!

I like the new management company - they have taken care of the problems in my apartment that I told the old manager about, but they never fixed anything! I have lived at Coral Cove for about 4 years and the old management did not take care of anything in my apartment. About 3 months ago, the management changed to JMG and I can see a lot of changes. When I would go to the office about a problem it is fixed that day! I have seen the new maintenance people working all over the place and everyone is pleasant

This place SUCKS

I've only lived here for a year...the rent is too expensive for such a small space...ROACHES are TERRIBLE ..complained about the bugs many times...bugs freak me out and I'm a clean freak...can't live like this!!! The maintenance guy unlocked my door and walked in on me NOT DRESSED...claimed he had the wrong apartment...My car was broken into in the parking lot ..lots of thing were stolen from my car...I'm a single female and I don't feel safe here AT ALL!! Not to mention I had a note on my door that said I owe then $400 in rent..yet..I've never been late or missed a rent payment...and the office staff is useless and can't tell me why I got the notice...overall this place is the WORST place I have EVER lived!!!!!!!!!!

dont live here they SUCK

i have lived in coral cove for 3 years now and i hate it so much.. the office staff sucks they would rather talk about people behind there backs then do there jobs.. since jmg took over i think it has got worse. they say they are trying to make it nicer but i dont see nothing changing. there are people selling drugs all the time and when u say something to the staff they dont do nothing bout it. the mant. does not live on site they live 3 hours away so dont let the office fool you. peter is rude he walks around like he top dog.. dont even get me started on sam at first she was so nice and she will be till she getss to know u then she is rude and so not HELPFUL. i have mold growing in my apartment and when i told the office they said i brought the mold can someone tell me how i could bring it???? the last big rain we had my apartment flooded did the office do anything bout it NOPE they didnt and here it is 3 weeks later and still nothing.. this place is priced way to high for the sizes of the apartments.. the pool sucks and the hot tub does not work and it is always nasty..

Bad place to live

This apartment complex has been taken over by a new company but this company has been fooled by the current office staff. EVERYBODY in that office needs to be fired!! I was in there recently and Peter was looking at my boyfriend and trying to flirt with him. Is that professional? Keep your sexual orientation to yourself!! He is so rude to the residents, myself included. Debra doesn't address a person by name, she refers to them by the colour of their skin. She used to call the previous maintenance supervisor the "black jamaicaian guy"...but at least he used to fix my complaints on time and he and the other lady that cleaned were ALWAYS NICE and polite, but now they are gone. All the good people are gone from Coral Cove. Demetrius, once part of the staff, was the only efficent one in there. DO NOT LIVE HERE. Samarays is going around now trying to be everybody's friend after she knows how horrible she has been to ALL the residents. This place is two faced and as soon as my lease is up I AM OUT OF HERE!!! The new maintenance staff is horrible! They can't do anything right. It took them weeks to fix a simple problem in my apartment. I also heard them saying that they have one of the residents writing good reviews on here for them so don't be fooled by anything good you read on here. The police is always in Coral Cove arresting someone. And there are people in the office that do illegal things and engage in illegal activites. If this company knows business they will fire all these people. This place is also full of roaches. I have complained several times and nobody has done anything to resolve the problem!

Place is no good. The leasing office is very unprofessional and not helpful. I need repairs done to my apartment and told them 4 weeks ago, still have failed to even take a look at the repairs... most of the neighbors are ok. but the office IS NOT!!! And, yes, Samarys harasses the tenants, including myself...would not recommend living there to anyone!!

Wonderful Place To Live

I have lived in this complex for over 6 years and I must say that the current ownership has improved this place 100% since they took over. The office staff is very professional. Demetrius, Samarys and Debra have always treated me with the utmost respect. The maintenance man Devon has always got to my repairs quickly and has always taken care of every problem with exceptional professionalism. When it comes to renewing my rental agreement I will have no problem with signing on the dotted line. The owner has organized pool parties for the residents during the summer months with free food, games and prizes galore. The children really enjoy the time a t the pool with their new and current friends In summation. If you want a great place to live, this is that place. Look no further. Coral Cove will be your last stop in your search for a great place to live.

One of the leasing agents "Sam" obiously has personal issues. She has harassed many tenants that I have spoken to. She has threatend many tenants with eviction for matters that she has made up.

New Resident

I just moved in to my Non-remodeled apartment. Its is in good shape. The community is quiet,property is kept clean. The Office Staff is nice. I did have some repair issues when I first moved in-But-Demetrius & Donna from the front office issued immediate work orders and they were taken care of. My initial contact with neighbors-people seem polite. The Apartment was cleaned when I moved in. So Far- So Good
