Overall okay but planning to move.
Biggest Negatives: 1) The closets are advertised as Walk in closets but the rods are hung so close together that you cannot use it. Totally wasted space and they refuse to fix it (lame excuse about liability that makes NO sense) 2) The parking is inadequate and my car was keyed the full length. 3) It is hard to get answers from the office, altlhough they always treated me well. Positives: New, more convenient than many other options, spray frequently, decently maintained.

Think twice!
I've lived here since 12/05 on the top floor and truth be told, I regret it. I was told this was a new apartment unit, however, there is a significant dust problem. I have a fireplace that is poorly insulated, so it costs me extra $ to heat/cool the unit each month. The walls are thin, & noise is an issue, even on the top floor. Lighting is very poor in the parking lot and as a result, my car was broken into. Staff is polite however not helpful in terms of addressing pest control/maintenece and SAFETY issues in a timely manner. I noticed that this complex has a lot of tennant turnover, and now I know why.

okay
Apartment Living is never going to be perfect. We moved to the apartments because we had just sold our house and knew that within a year we would be moving out of town. Overall, I enjoyed the apartment experience at Lake Gray Apartments. Besides the skinny (neither could weigh more than 135lbs wet) gorillas living above us who vacuumed at from 11p.m. to 3 a.m. and walked like they weighed 300 lbs, the experience wasn't bad. Stuff like that is to be expected. I enjoyed Beth, the manager, and her staff.

If you want something worth the price of rent dont come here
We have been here since August 2005. Parking is terrible. Street lights are terrible. This place was built very cheap. We dont mind the day to day activities of people "living" in an apartment. We understand doors/cabinets slamming, toliets flushing, tv blaring and vacuming. But we have extraordinaryily rude nieghbors. The apartment has a "curfew" rule concerning noise. There is to be no unnecessary noise after 9pm Monday - Friday. Weekends the time is extended to 10pm. We moved into the apartment in August of 05. Everything was ok until our nieghbors above us moved into thier apartment in Mar of 2006. We have lived above and below people so we know what to expect. Thier bass and constant stomping were more than we could take so I went up there two times within the first two weeks and asked them very calmly to keep it down. That did not stop matters as the noise continued and escalated. We then went to the complex managers and complained. They said the put a noise complaint against them but the noise continued. It turns out that they gave the complaint to the wrong apartment. It took 3 weeks from my first complaint to the management until the right apartment got the complaint. Then to get in touch with someone at the office was nearly impossible. They either open late or close early depending on how they want to swing it. The noise stopped for about a month and then it started again. Words were exchanged between the young man that lives there and myself. I went to the office again and they sent a notice demanding that the occupants come to a meeting with the property management. The couple never showed up. For two weeks there was not a peeep but now they started again. This is supposed to be thier last time of causing noise or they will be kicked out. If you want to pay at least 900.00 a month to live here I would highly suggest looking into a rental house. less headache for a little more money!

I have lived here since August and I agree with what most other reviews say. There are problems all around. Parking is a nightmare, too much can be heard through walls and floors, there has been frequent crime that goes unspoken of if it weren't for caring residents, the carpet is not what they advertize and the paint truly does wipe right off the walls and onto your clothes if bumped. The dust is a huge issue. My son has allergies and they have gotten worse over the months that we've been here. The people in the office tend to blow you off, no matter how large or small the issue. I can say that most people living here are friendly and caring of their neighbors. It is also nice to have a washer/dryer.
If you are searching for a place to live, at least see what else this area has to offer.

We have had several problems since moving into these apartments. We chose to live here because they were new and we would be the first to live in our unit. There is a huge dust problem and poor carpet quality in the apartment itself. We have had one of our cars broken into and management seem very unprofessional and unhelpful.

I have really enjoyed living here. I haven't been here long, but so far, I don't have any complaints. The staff has always been courtious. My upstairs neighbor makes a little noise, but that was expected. You can't live under someone and not expect some kind of noise. Overall, this is a great place to live. Everything around me is very well lit, and very quiet. I'm glad I moved in here.

Run...Run...RUN
This place sucks. There were car vandals breaking into cars a few weeks ago. An apartment was broken into last night. The office certainly does not make you aware of the crimes going on so if you are unaware of it and step out into the middle of a robbery, in the staff's words "your bad". There ARE no working lights in the parking lot and I believe that's why cars were being broken into. Several people have complained and nothing has been done. My carpet is coming apart and the bathroom floor is not sealed right. There is red mold and dust everywhere. Trust me, I am a clean freak but I can't get it to go away.
The people above me have a 90 lb. dog who keeps me up from dusk till dawn. For what you have to pay to live in these "new" apartments...you would think something good would come out of it.
If you are considering an apartment, do not choose this complex.

This place sucks
I have lived here since dec 05 and have filed numerous complaints about my upstairs neighbors, all hours of the night and day you can here them banging around, running, moving furniture, having a wrestling match, something. It's so bad that it wakes our 4 year old up just about every night and it doesn't help that I have a sleeping disorder, so needless to say I haven't had a good nights sleep since we moved in. The AC system is aweful, dust, dust and more dust, thick gray dust. To make matter worse someone showed up at our door at almost 9pm on a sunday that new of our military staus, branch of service and pay grade saying that they were doing a survery for the military, we just moved to the area and no one knows that stuff about us, when I confronted the office about it I was told that they didn't even have a list of military residents, bull, the know who gets a military discount, someone gave them our information and from speaking with other tenants we weren't the only ones that it happened to.

Don't do it!
I chose to live in these apartments because they are great looking on the outside. I have only been here for about 7 months and have had quite a few bad experiences with the staff and other residents. The noise level is extremely high. The floors and walls are thin. There have been several times I've seen the police here over domestic disputes. The paint rubs off the walls, the carpet is not of a good quality, and there is lots of dust coming from the vents. When going to the office with a complaint, they rarely ever follow up on it. There are no working lights in the parking lot. I could be paying much less for the same troubles. Just waiting until the lease is up.
