We have lived at post rocky point for over 4 years amd like it. Lately we have had 2 horrible experiences but they both essentially come down to the answering service and communication after normal business hours.

Having problems with neighbors leaving trash outside their apartment doors. They should be fined every time someone complains and that would resolve the problem. A letter does nothing to resolve it. Also people are not picking up after their dogs, need more doggi pots in more convenient locations. Skid should be notified before they start painting each apartment, had a new mat ruined because I didn't know they were painting and stepped in wet paint which ruined the mat and my shoes. Also no notification of when they will replace my balcony screen they tore out.

I was overall pleased, it was a stressful moving in process because the move in date was supposed to be May 10 and my application wasn't even reviewed until I called about three times asking them to do so. There are some shades that are broken in the family room that I would like to get fixed but don't know if they do that, but honestly I am very happy with everything now that I am mostly settled in

The gates are difficult to enter. You have to reach all the way over to the sensor from your open car window and get very wet. They need to work better. Any where else i have gates yu did not need to oen window and reach al the way out of the car

The apartments are beautiful. The stag is poorly trained. I feel like I am a burden to them. They do not appreciate that the residents are the reason that they are employed. Especially the so called assistant manager, Lisa. She continues to go out of her way to avoid making our living arrangements satisfactory. The day we moved in I pointed out that some of the things that were offered (move in special and washer/dryer in unit) were not there. Lisa immediately offered to terminate our lease instead of making sure we got what was offered. Obviously, we moved in since we already set up utilities and had no place to go. Still don't have the promised washer/dryer and I ended up having to pay full price on my first month even though I had a printed document showing a significant discount which was our primary motivation to move in sooner than we should have. I recommend not being seduced by the lovely property and find a professional management company to work with. I've been waiting a month for someone to fix my second bathroom shower which didn't work when we moved in and I'm not impressed about how thin the floors are. I can hear my neighbor's garage door (which they use as the front door) and thank goodness no one lives upsatairs yet. We are already looking forward to moving out and we aren't even 2 months in.

nice area, very addicting. great wildlife. way to expensive!! after property was sold to another management group. more problems accured(minor) he little store is convient(the market) very expensive. you pay for the convince. I have can assure broken machine almost very time I went into use them. management makes you call the wash and dryer company to refund you money(that will be lost) rude people leave clothes in machines. limited machine to use.

The landscaping and location are stunning, the apartment is just what we needed, the amenities are lovely, and they are very pet friendly. No complaints yet in our month of living here, it feels like living at a low key resort.

Post Rocky Point is honestly the nicest apartment complex I have ever lived in. The amenities are awesome! They have gas grills poolside and alongside Tampa Bay that are usually clean. The pools are great (I love that you have your choice of 3 different pools and each pool has it's own different vibe). I use the free car wash once a month. And the little market they have onsite is perfect for little odds and ends you need to pick up last minute. Bugs are not an issue here - yes, you will see a big cockroach every now and again but that should be expected living in Florida. You are just minutes from Bahama Breeze, Whiskey Joes, Beach Bar, and an amazing walk or bike ride along the Courtney Campbell Causeway. It's like paradise here!

We have been living here a little over 6 months now. I am very glad we decided to ignore a few of the negative reviews and check this place out for ourselves. Erin, in the front office was extremely helpful answering any questions we had. We moved in and had a minor hiccup. The maintenance responded and fixed the issue within 24 hours. Moreover, the apartments have been renovated and you can't beat the water views. I highly recommend these apartments.

I have lived here for 2 months now. I really like it. I was worried about getting hit with a bunch of hidden fees and stuff because you have to put a bunch of money down before you can see the contract. They were honest about everything. Also, we had several issues with the apartment when we moved in. We are very picky people and when we pay a lot for an apartment we expect it to be perfect. I can say that the office staff went above and beyond our expectations to clear up any issues that we may have had and I was pleasantly surprised that it took it only took one email. They even fixed stuff we didn't ask them to, but they saw we put it down on our move in checklist sheet and just fixed it anyway. I have lived in a lot of different "luxury apartments" and lets just say I have had plenty of issues with the front office at these places. My experience at Post Rocky Point is that they have been customer oriented, seemed to care if we were happy not just about covering there own behinds. We were also kind of freaked out from pictures posted of bugs in the apartments. We had one or two roaches and we are bug nazis so we scheduled a spraying. Whatever the bug guy put down was useless. We got are own bug stuff from the internet and haven't seen any since (pet friendly too). Can't complain about noise when at the apartment. I hear my neighbors walking up the stairs, but thats it. The walls aren't thin or anything like that, you won't hear your neighbors TV etc. My fiancee and I both park directly in front of our apartment everyday, so I can't relate to the parking complaints of others. It seems impossible that someone would have to walk two blocks to park. Every once in a while I see someone illegally parked in the morning, so maybe parking is a problem if you stay out late drinking on the weekends, or have an apartment next to one of the pools. There are three pools and they get pretty busy on the weekend. One of the pools is party central with loud music etc, so thats kind of annoying, but I just go to one of the other pools. The party pool is the worst of the three pools anyway, I think they go there because there is a volleyball net in the pool. I've never heard the music though unless I was walking by the pool, so it's not a nuisance to my daily life or anything like that. I use the gate everyday, one or two times a gate was broken. Not a big deal, I just use the other gate when that happens. The two available gates are like 100 yards from each other, so it's not that big of a deal. I've lived at several apartments with gates. Gates like this are not perfect, but unlike other places I've lived the gate is actually fairly effective at keeping unwelcome vehicles out. At other places I've lived the timing of opening and closing the gate is extremely slow and people will just follow your car in when you open the gate. At Post Rocky Point the gate closes very quickly (in a good way) so people behind you can't just tailgate and follow you in. The dry cleaning service is pretty sweet. I didn't think I would use it that much, but it is just ridiculously convenient. Also, the community convenience store is really nice. You have to use a freeway to go to the nearest grocery store so in a pinch the convenience store is a life saver. The running trail is amazing. I've seen dolphins and manatees several times.

Living here is a nightmare. Starting from Viviana in the office and the older lady with blonde hair as well. They LIE to you and treat you disrespectfully. I have gone in the office at least once a month, having to get a new 'clicker' to get in the gate. It's ridiculous when you pay on time every month and can't even get through the gate. After you finally get in the gate there is no parking reserved for your apartment. Therefore, you must walk at least 2 blocks to get inside your home. Your finally home in bed sleeping then all the mainlanders workers scream at each other and wake you up at 7 in the morning. I'm writing this review because I'm sick and tired of being put in situations without any positive outcomes. DONT MOVE IN HERE ITS AWFUL!!!!!!!

I lived here 3 year ago for about 3 years and at the beginning it was good. he offered me a moving special price for 1b/1bath aprt for about 700 usd at that time. after 3 years I came up paying 1300 $ (for 1 bed room apart, what a joke !!). I had to move out. The view and the place are pretty but the staff is very unfriendly. Unfortunately we all need to suffer with apartm rent issues..so sad !!

Management is awful! They do not call you back, even when they specifically say they will. The property manager has changed 3 times in 7 months. Walls are paper thin and I live next to a family with a newborn that screams non-stop. Management can do nothing to assist and will not assist me in moving to a different unit. Maintenance is also awful, you will call for the same issue over 3 times and many times I have just given up. They actually made ME paint the wall when I first moved in and found scuffs that I wanted painted. However, they gave me the wrong paint shade twice! After the second time I gave up because of the way management acted when I continued to call. I had to call and follow up for over 2 months to get my first floor window to lock securely. Maintenance also left my patio door unlocked after coming in one day. The gates are horrible and damaged my car. I was reimbursed for the damage but had to waste my time getting an estimate and getting the dent fixed! The manager admitted that another car was hit by the gate the same day as mine, and the worst part is they still aren't fixed over 6 months later! The apartment above mine left the water line running after attaching/detaching their washing machine and it was leaking inti my apartment. I called at 5 during office hours and no one came to assist me for 2 hours because "maintenance already left for the day." Why couldn't a member of property management have gone into the unit in the mean-time? Because they don't care! There are a lot of bugs and geckos that enter the apartments, so be prepared for that too. The apartments are older and there are a lot of maintenance issues. Like I've said, don't expect them to be fixed the first time! The only things I like about living here are the location, my gorgeous water view, and my attached garage. This place is definitely over priced and property management are the least helpful I've ever experienced.

Poor value for the cost. 1) No parking available, anytime of day. There's no monitoring of parking so if there's an abandon car, Post RP would never know. 2) Gates are down a lot and the arm is usually broken. 3) Nickel and dime you. You pay for everything extra, like a gate remote, the fitness center, water, gas, cable, trash that you have to put in the bin yourself...EVERYTHING is an extra cost. 4)When it rains, there's no cover to use your key fob to enter the gate, so plan on getting soaked when you have to roll down your window, lean out and use the fob. 5) My apt. is outdated and all appliances are old. I had them replace the bathroom sink because the drain rotted and would lift. The toilet stopped flushing because the guts rotted, the gas water heater didn't work, the fridge ice cube maker didn't work and it was so off balance the door didn't shut, it's also old and dented up, it's just old and outdated. This was all in the first day of move in. They also shut my cable off to hook it up for another person. Cable is a nightmare to deal with their "contact" guy who does nothing but collect the initial fee. Everything else is diverted to Brighthouse. 6)No heat on the first cold night. Nothing works in this unit. I don't know why they even rented it. 7) Found a used condom on the stairwell. Took a picture and sent it to the staff. Granted, they did have it picked up when I got home from work. 8) They pressure washed our stairwells without notification and blew matts and anything they could all over the place. Again, took a picture and sent to staff. They just apologized. 9)Their billing is so screwed up you don't know what you're paying for. I think I've paid 3X's for my move in pro rated electric bill. Who knows, I got three bills for the same period. It's so confusing I don't even care anymore. 10)Fitness club isn't included, you get to pay $35 plus tax to enjoy what other apartment communities provide as an amenity. Not at Rocky Point though! Oh no, we couldn't provide an amenity to make you happy! (Lots of sarcasm) 11) Too many big dogs, I get pet friendly, but damn! It's like living at a kennel. 12) Did I mention there's NO parking! Ever! Near your apartment! Seriously, I do not recommend PRP until they make some positive changes and get completive in the market. Go rent somewhere where the fitness club is included, it's updated, they provide simple daily pleasures like a remote to open the gate so you don't have to lean out in the elements, that the grounds look nice, the apartments have a 21st century look and you don't feel like you live in the projects for $1000 a month. I have a 1 bedroom, 1 Bath, tiny apartment that has no view and I pay $905 ($5.00 for trash) plus electric, plus gas, plus taxes, plus cable, plus they make you get insurance which comes out to over $1000 plus I joined the spa for $35 plus tax. As you can see...I could get a swanky new place for that! Hope this helps. As nice as the staff has been, they've never ONCE offered to reduce rent, offer a free month of the Spa, nothing.

We have lived at Post for 3 years so far. The longest we have stayed at 1 community in our 10 years of apartment living. The landscaping is amazing. I love the seashell trail along the water and my garden in the "community garden" which if you want one get on the list right away, it took 9 months to get one but it is so worth it. Recently I had a maintenance issue and they went above and beyond by fixing my garbage disposal which wasn't working properly and any light bulbs that weren't working, they replaced those too! I thought that was very nice they went the extra mile. We do have people that are looud sometimes, but it's nothing that keeps up for a long time, maybe someone coming home late. We have a basic apartment with no upgrades, but can upgrade for a charge if we want. So far so good and I don't plan to leave until we buy a house.

I don't understand the issues with management and maintenance that everyone is having because anytime i have called them in regards to an issue they were prompt in getting someone to respond and fix it usually that day. As far as noise goes, yeah it can be noisy, its apartment living, walls are going to be thin no matter where you go. I live on the 3rd floor just so i didn't have to deal with people above me, which probably makes it a little easier. But either way, this area and property is beautiful and well maintained, and you can't beat the amenities and the 3 pools!

I moved to rocky point this past month, because of how appealing it is and close proximity to most everything in Tampa. I must have moved into an older apartment, because I cannot believe how terribly thin my ceiling is. When my neighbor walks it sounds like a family of elephants running around. It's awful, and I love the apartment otherwise. I can't move again due to money nor do I want to because I just love the area. It's so frustrating! I have always lived in a 1st floor unit, and this by far is the noisiest of any place I've ever lived and not because of a college crowd, but because of regular walking around. Not only that but the floors creak and squeak amongst the pounding of the steps above. I have called management and they said they would make a courtesy call to the resident, but that has done nothing. So bummed! This place seems so peaceful and lovely from the outside and then you go in and close the door (***SIGH***). My recommendation to anyone is if you are going to live here, move to the 3rd floor. BTW, I'm not sure what all the problem is w/management complaints on here, because my experience with them so far has been impeccable. They are super friendly and helpful and accommodating. Perhaps management is new now? Not sure, but wanted to point that out....

Management is very crooked. Don't expect to recover any money paid as a security deposit. Upon your move out of the complex, you will be told that there is some sort of damage whether it exists or not. The frustration that experience caused made me wish I had never lived there.

don't rent here if you have a pet. We lived here for less then 5 months and am currently in dispute over $1,500 carpet charge. their policy is if there is one pet stain, they will charge you for the entire apartment to1 have carpet replaced. yes you heard it right one stain and they will automatically charge you for total replacement. We had a 3 bedroom , had stains in one bedroom and currently being told we owe them $1,500. Wow we lived there a bit more then 4 months waiting for our house to be built. If you like frat house living and have budgeted carpet replacement, this is your place.

Apartments are nice. The problem is they obviously cater to a college crowd. This has unfortunately led to many nights of disrupted sleep. These whippersnappers come home late at night. Apparently they do not realize how thin the windows are. Too many people leave their trash sitting outside their door...person across from me has had their trash out for a 2nd day now. How hard is it to take it to the dump? Maybe they weren t told valet trash pickup service was not an option. Doors slam constantly. You would think neighbors would start to catch-on that front doors slamming tends to set you up an inch or two off the couch. Laundry rooms are dirty. Of course you could splurge and pay $70 per month to rent one. Or buy one...being the math major that you are, I'll let you do the math. Probably the biggest complaint about this place it the noise. How hard can it be to show a little respect to your neighbors, when coming home in middle of night...1. STFU and keep your voices down. Sound travels. 2. Stop slamming your front door. Take your trash to the dump!!!

Living at this property has been a very frustrating and disappointing experience. The most frustrating issues have been with how management has handled the constant maintenance problems I've had when I lived there. 1.) I was initially told that I did not have gas in my apartment, after living there a few days, my hot water was cold and discovered I did indeed have gas. 2.) I was told that I would have to pay money for the days my apartment was going to be unoccupied prior to moving in so I could 'hold' the unit. I've never heard of this before at any property. 3.) The airconditioner broke several times before they could figure out what was really wrong. After a month of constant breaking down, they had to get a heating and air company in, it took them over a week to discover the problem. It was very frustrating when the management would tell me one thing, maintenance, another, then then heating and air company completely something different. 4.) I wrote the district manager a very detailed email outlining my frustrations, she never acknowledged nor responded to my email. 5.) There was an incident that occured at one of the pools, apparently involving a non-resident and the police were contacted. I was concerned after hearing the details from a neighbor who witnessed the incident. I approached management about it and was told that "it was nothing and that other resident lied to you" 6.) I had three separate incidents of termmites in my apartment. Their solution was to 'band-aid' the problem by drilling holes in my dry-wall and floor. The termites kept returning, thus my reason to move out and incurr moving expenses to find a more suitable and stable living environment. I spoke with two other residents in my building and they were frustrated over the the termites in their units. 7.) I was sent a bill for carpet replacement due to damages. I don't smoke, nor have pets and have always kept a sanitary and clean home. The exterminator damaged the carpeting when he had to pull it out to drill in the sub-flooring. I unfortunately, had to file a formal complaint to the Better Business Bureau over this. I lived at an older property for ten years prior to living at this one and I do expect the usual maintenance issues. I didn't expect the frustating problems with this property, and was disappointed in how management handled these issues. This place is not worth the over-priced rent that is charged here. The only positive thing I can say about this property is the gym is a nice place to workout and the instructors and personal trainers at this gym are fabulous. However, I will never recommend nor ever consider living at any Post Properties anywhere after this disappointing experience.

There is a new manager and hopefully things will improve. My rating is based on my experience over the past 3 years. For example, there have been recent thefts to boats and cars, and there is frequent abuse of pools and other common areas by non-residents (basically anyone can enter). This community has good potential but it needs much more serious attention from management.
