Over-priced and Inconvenient
At first glance, Post Rocky Point seems like a great place to live. It is set in a tropical landscape, really close to Bahama Breeze, equidistant to Tampa and St. Petersburg and easy access to the Interstate system.

ROCKY POINT: is an island inconveniently located far away from modern conveniences, such as gas stations, grocery stores and department stores. There are three way to approach Rocky Point Island: 1) 60 East -from Clearwater; 2) 60 West -from Tampa or I-275; 3) Veterans Expressway-from Town & Country. During peak traffic periods, traveling the final 2 miles to Rocky Point can take up to one hour (especially around the airport). In an emergency situation (such as an accident, etc) forget about getting to Rocky Point, not possible!

POST ROCKY POINT APARTMENTS: Seems nice, everything looks beautiful and tropical, but trouble looms in paradise.
*Because of the inadequate air-conditioning systems, you will fortunate to have an electric bill under $150/month. You can call maintenance 3 times a year (like I did) and they will be kind enough to change your air filter and assure you that it will blow colder, but even the maintenance people know that the air-conditioning systems are too small for the apartments at Post. My friends and neighbors all have the same complaints.
*The business office staff is very unfriendly. If you are ever late on a payment (after 11:59pm on the 1st of the month is considered late), your late fee is 10% of your rent, of about $150. Don’t expect any sympathy from them!
*The sales people LIE. Yes, that is right, they lie! They would sell the mother to rent an apartment to you! My roommate and I were told that the apartment was practically impervious to sound: 1 inch of concrete between the ceiling and floors, thick insulation in the walls, etc. I’ve heard that others have been duped by this falsehood. The truth is that you can hear your neighbors’ every intimate sound, including noises from the bedroom and the loud and harsh sound of water running through the pipes in the wall when your neighbor flushes his/her toilet. If your bedroom shares a wall with a breezeway, you will likely we woken from sound sleep anytime a drunken vixen in high heels returns home from a long night at Bahama Breeze. This apartment complex is NOT soundproof.
*Windows are cheap and do not separate the indoor and outdoor environments sufficiently (a possible cause for a high electric bill in the Summer). The walls are not sufficiently insulated from the separate the environments either.
*Do you like getting nickel & dimed? The Post Rocky Point is the apartment complex for you! The onsite gym is nice and convenient, but if the business office screws up and doesn’t post your rent on time, forget about being able to use the gym! Sure, the business office will expect to be paid for using the gym, but your membership privileges will be suspended until the careless business office crew is able to fix their problems. The staff at the business office is just plain evil; do not expect a friendly face or a consistent policy and the Post Rocky Point business office!
*2 onsite dumpsters are emptied once per week. Each Dumpster is supposed to serve 500 apartment homes. Sidewalk is often littered with trash around the overfilled dumpsters. P-U!

I have lived at Post Rocky Point Apartments from July 2001 until January 2003. I will never live in another Post Property. For the price of living at Post, you should seek a Realtor and buy a house of your very own!
