It's been nothing short of horrible the place is literally falling apart. Nothing has been upgraded. There is crime. There are 40 year old AC units. Yet the price continues to go up. Re-invest the money in renovations.

We love how clean it is we appreciate being able to walk the trails. We also live how quiet it is in the pool area is amazing. We love the gym as well so far the experience here has been great on top of that maintenance gets here quickly, which is a plus.

Parking is a nightmare. There is never enough spots and even the areas of no parking and handicap are filled. Everything else is great! Gym could use newer equipment but overall I love it here minus the parking

Super friendly people in the neighborhood and fairly well maintained. Overall 7/10. The gates are constantly damaged, there is absolutely ZERO parking even for residents who actually live here which is incredibly frustrating, and MAA does not have door side garage pick up built into the rent which is why the trash compactors are always stuffed to the brim and overflowing out to the street. Everything is nickel and dime here. On top of the base rent, there is the community fee, and then if you even want to step foot into the fitness gym or basketball court, It's a mandatory $35 on top every month. Why not just include that by building into the rent? I just don't understand that. Also, residents have to make sure they don't lock themselves out of their apartments by constantly monitoring your smart lock battery level and maintenance does not take requests to change smart lock/door batteries. Other than all that, everyone is pretty laid back and easy to talk to and make friends with. Everyone seems to be super friendly and respectful and I really like that. If it wasn't for the other amenities around here, I would give 6/10 rating due to the price gouging of rent prices. $2,000 for a one bedroom is ridiculous regardless if it's Rocky Point. I think that's why there's high rental turnover because more and more people either can't afford it and have to leave or they realize they are overpaying by a lot and move somewhere close by because they found a much better deal and can save money without going down much in living standards.

Good - slightly annoying with chargers and the police being around. Makes it's unsafe. I like the environment but it becomes unsafe feeling at times. There are good points and bad points. I like it overall

Post Rocky Point is beautiful. Very well maintained property. On the water...an island. Close to airport. Major highways. Downtown Tampa is 20 minutes away. Clearwater 35 minutes. St. Petersburg 30 or 40 minutes. Beaches so close. Wild life galore... Manatees, dolphins, even sharks are easily seen on a morning walk.

It had been good;however, the AC now doesn't work and the complex refuses to acknowledge or address the situation. Maintenance has confirmed that there simply needs to be a new unit . I have emailed almost daily and I repeatedly am jsut ignored. I will sadly be looking for other apartments and letting people know not to move here at this point. Unless something changes quickly.

I love my apartment and its surroundings. It is a two bedroom two bath third floor apartment and there is some noise from below but not too much. I love having a pool right next to our apartment, and II love my apartment and its surroundings. It is a two bedroom two bath third floor apartment and there is some noise from below but not too much. I love having a pool right next to our apartment, and I love the path that surrounds our apartment complex and the canal beside it. When it comes to management, they do not do any job at all. They send out aggressive emails on things that concern them but never ever address any residents' concerns. Just to get the fitness center bill off of our rent, we had to give them a written form after they chose not to answer my calls or emails for two months and Finally answered us. After giving them the written form they still did not want to take it off our bill the next month. We had to beg and beg and go to the office and they still did nothing. My boyfriend got aggressive with them and they finally listened. There is always issues with the mail, security, and trash. There's always issues with the trash compactor and trash is left out and about with no concern from Management. I have heard many other cases with people having bug issues and mold issues and no one ever cares to address those from management. There is thief that occurs often in the neighborhood and management does nothing because they choose not to put security cameras in but they do choose to put new paving down on The parking lot, towing many cars in the process. I'd say as long as you have zero issues, this is a great place. Otherwise, you are screwed!

Large complex, parking is a problem, lack of property management, units are ok, no microwaves, traffic is a real problem between the residents that don't know where they are going, multiple hotels or the drunk coming from the party bar across the street. Apartment life! The endless emails will drive you nuts.

Living in this apartment community has been quite the experience, and not necessarily in the best way. On the surface, the property is gorgeous, but the reality is far from ideal. Random emails about people being followed into their apartments, mailboxes and cars being broken into, and other security issues make it hard to feel safe. Despite these alarming issues, the management has taken little to no action. And let's talk about the rent ? it seems reasonable at first, but then they hit you with overcharges for water every month. Plus, if there's a leak that's not your fault, guess who gets stuck with the bill? Oh, and good luck getting maintenance to fix anything promptly. And when they do come, sometimes they can't even communicate properly because not all of them speak English. Don't even get me started on pet owners who don't clean up after their animals. But guess what? They'll hassle you for leaving a bag of trash outside your door for 15 minutes. It's like they're majoring in minor issues while ignoring the big problems. The staff is another major issue. Lisa, the property manager, is hands down one of the rudest and most unprofessional people I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Recently, I've been stalked, watched, and harassed, and the apartment management has done nothing about it. They even delivered a serious note to my door and the agents were laughing while doing it. I've emailed them several times regarding these serious matters, but they are ignoring us. To top it all off, my sweet six-month-old puppy, who everyone loves, was attacked by another dog in the complex. All I asked for was the shot information from the owner of the dog who attacked mine because my puppy was injured and bleeding. Yet, the management did nothing. This is not a safe place to live, and the lack of responsiveness from the management is unacceptable.

The community is nice and well-maintained. They have been making a number of updates in the recent years. Amenities are good. Issue is safety. It's quite easy for nonresidents to access the community as the gates stay open long and cars frequently go into the community using the exit gates.

At first I had a good experience living at PRP. Within the past year though, new people have moved in around me and I feel like I'm living in a college dorm. The new people are loud-stomping around, playing loud music, yelling, slamming doors. The pools are nice. The gym costs 40$ a month and the equipment is not great. The gates never work, don't open, don't close, rarely ever fixed.

This is my third apartment spanning 15 years here. I thought it would be temporary, but I have been so happy here, I just changed apartments to meet my changing needs. What has always been consistent is the service, beauty and convenience. It's home!

So far everything is incredible. I would say my only 2 complaints or things to improve would be fixing the electric grills even tho i understand many people are not considerate when using them. And also clearing the steps and different levels of each building. Overall the community is pretty clean.

The price is fair for the area and they haven't increased my rent much each renewal which has been very nice! Walking trail is nice amenity. Maintenance is usually super quick and they almost always come the day after I put in a request. Apartments are not well updated, cheap materials used and paint slapped over problems. Apartment was clearly not cleaned before we moved in and hair/lint was just painted over. Gas grills never work. Parking is impossible to find after 7pm, usually end up having to park pretty far away from our apartment and so many people park in fire lanes which the office does nothing about. The office is horrible at replying to emails and they never answer the phone. Complex has really gone downhill in last couple years, lots of car break ins and the office is not taking steps to protect residents with security cameras.

SHOUT OUT TO LEASING SPECIALIST, KERRI!
As a fellow Property Management professional, I understand all too well the importance of resident retention and good customer service is a key towards that goal. I only just met Kerri today, as I believe she is new at MAA Rocky Point, but she went out of her way to help me out with a couple of things and it was greatly appreciated, as well as so refreshing compared to the lack of responsiveness from some leasing agents in the profession. Kerri was prompt, efficient, cheerful, encouraging, and most of all KIND! I hope that MAA Rocky Point will hire more people with her work ethic and concern for others.

The place sucks. I can't have my dog because some neighbor wants to complain even though I paid to have him here. One neighbor has run out multiple people. The office refuses to take action towards this guy. The office is incompetent, I pay 2300$ a month and still have to pay water and gym which should be free at that rate. I can never get parking in front of the unit and I'm moving out as soon as the lease is up and not recommending to anyone unfortunately because the view is amazing but the property sucks

The property has plenty amenities and a beautiful walking trail. I love its location and feel. It can be confusing finding your way when you first move-in and the office associates do not show you to your apartment. Parking is also a problem.

I can't wait to move out. The place is overpriced and pretty awful. The building materials are cheap. The rental agent played bait and switch with me, and, if you need anything but basic service, you never get it. The place is not worth what they charge.

So far the experience has been okay. There are a few safety concerns with packages being stolen, cars being broken into and residents relying on increasing their safety themselves instead of the community.

My husband and I have been miserable since moving here. The only nice thing about this complex is the pathway around the water. The apartment itself was put together awfully. Our AC is horrible and we've been over paying for electric. Our toilets are constantly over flowing and flooding out bathroom. Our water always smells. The apartment staff is extremely rude. We want to move out but don't have the money to break our lease.

I find the community to be very nice. I like the walking trails around it to get my exercise. The other residents are friendly. My apartment fits my needs. When I need maintenance they are here within a reasonable amount of time and fix my problems.

Overall it is good. The apartments have good amenities. My chief complaint is cockroaches every place where garbage is outside and the roads need repair very badly. You make a ton of money so please fix the roads so they're not so bumpy.
