I filled out an online questionnaire regarding some information about the property. I was called shortly after by a rental agent named Midge. She was very friendly and informative and invited me in to view an apartment. She showed me an apartment and drove me around the complex pointing out different features. I applied on the spot and was approved within the hour. Upon move in day, my paperwork was printed and awaiting my signature. Midge accompanied me for a walk-through of the new apartment since it was a different one from the model I originally viewed and she made sure I was happy with the cleanliness and that everything was ready for my move. So far, I am very happy with the property and find it peaceful and well maintained.

I really liked it when I first came and saw apartment then on my move in date I noticed roaches dead and alive. Office staff really wasn't concerned at all. I also asked another family that was moving in and they also noticed the same thing not COOL!!!!!!!!

The office staff is not very helpful or understanding when it comes to late fees, especially if it was just a misunderstanding with the bank. The community is not as advertised and looks horrible. The front gates are broken and have been for months now and the trash machine is always breaking and the dumpster out front is always over flowing with trash making the community look nasty. Also there was an incident with a resident who was naked by the play ground which is a bit scary. Also at night when I'm walking my dog, some of the outside lights aren't even on or they are just flickering. I also do not understand how you have no lights in bedrooms or living rooms. For the rent amount that is being charged that seems ridiculous to not have lights in rooms.

Very friendly, professional team. Quiet neighborhood. Prompt, efficient service. No problems in the eight months we've been living here. It's close to the city and close to the country, best of both worlds. Would recommend to anyone looking for an apartment.

It's a nice community but, the price of rent is a little too high for such a small apartment. The staff has been very nice and helpful and the upkeep of the complex is nice. The trash compactor breaks way too often but, that's normally due to the residents over filling it with furniture.

I love living here. Have lived in 4 different apartments due to life changes. It's safe, clean and maintenance as well as office staff is very helpful. Apartment are very quiet once inside the unit. Rent increases are the only down fall. Every year they increase rent some years higher than others. Seems like the columns would do a small increase(2%) for us tenants who have been here for years and pay on time every month for 9 years.

This is the worst place to live. I will ensure others know not to move in here. The staff lies, they are rude, blame all problems in the residents and have one man taking care of the entire complex. The gate has been broken since move in. They are cheap and do not ensure this is a place to live.

Very nice people in the office were very informative. Some of the residents are not to friendly. But overall it's a great place to live. Manger was nice. Not much else I can say. It's hard to make a left turn off the road. Needs a light in order to get into the road with out worrying about getting hit.

I don't like Jessica, she is the manager, she's never working, bad behavior, bad personality, she's mean with their staff. Think about move to this place 20 times, they take long long time to work at your apartment, so if your A/C broke you have to wait until they want to come over. It's very sad. I have been waiting for them to repair my patio lanai for more than 6 months, and 1 month for them to repair my kitchen backsplash.

I am very pleased with the community overall, It is quiet and nice. We are happy here. The convenience of the pet clean up stations are a great help and it reduces the chances of people not cleaning up after their pets. The pool and gym area are clean and well kept.

I have enjoyed livibg in this apartment with my two children. The staff are great especially Jessica and Midge and even the maintenance guys treat you like family. My requests for repairs or issues is always handled with courtesy and promptness.

When I first moved in the community was good the people were nice two people respected property the people were courteous when you drove in the parking lot they would stop when you were backing out now they try to run you over they do not stop they speed through the parking lot and the neighbors are loud and obnoxious

Friendly and clean community. Office staff are friendly and try to be helpful. The common areas are usually kept very well maintained. Sometimes the grass gets a little too long which makes it hard to walk in to throw away dog waste (without stepping in dog waste on the way there).

TERRIBLE!!!!!!!!! My advice is to keep searching for a home this place is horrible. We had recently moved in and 2 days after moving in the people above us fell asleep in the tub with it running and they flooded our apartment and we had mold growing on our ceiling from it and instead of getting rid of it they painted it.. This happened twice in the year we lived there the second time it happened we told them we wanted the mold to be taken care of and they argued with us that it wasn't mold and there was nothing they could do for us! Also the entire year we lived there the dumpster was broke 9 months out of 14months so there was always garbage piled in the entrance of the apartments and stunk horribly! We are very clean people and we had never had an issue with cockroaches until we moved in these apartments. Also we had sugar ants EVERYWHERE!!! We called and had them spray which every time we called and asked they only came out 2 of the MANY times we did call! They are extremely rude to their renters! We called maintenance after hours because our door came off the hinges and wouldn't shut the guy on call told us that wasn't an emergency so we would have to wait until Monday for them to come fix it (it was Friday) it was crazy hot because this happened in the summer so now our air was constantly running and it was costing us money not them! Also there was NEVER any parking close to our building we always had to park 2 or 3 buildings away!! They are inconsiderate and don't care about their tenants! I would highly recommend finding elsewhere to rent!

Our experience with Midge D'Ascoli was incredible. My husband and I was moving from Ohio to Florida and unable to find a property management group that would work with us because we had not found jobs yet. When we stopped by The Columns at Cypress Point we thought we would be rejected again because of our situation. Midge listened to our story and did not hesitate to start our application process. We was quickly approved after providing her with bank statements and credit checks. We was thrilled and so grateful that she took the time to listen and not immediately turn us down. Thanks so much Midge, we are forever grateful!

Please, please, please for the love of God, if you are a professional person who pays your bills on time and treats others with dignity and respect; who values a clean, safe neighborhood, do not move here. I implore you. You will regret it. The grounds are very nice and the maintenance guys are awesome but beyond that, prepare yourself for potheads, noisy, drunk neighbors, rednecks running the pool, and a shady, dishonest front desk clerk who will promise you the world but deliver nothing but lies. It does NOT matter how clean your apartment is. You will NOT get your damage deposit back. When you move, even if you pay your last bill in full, they will still turn you over to a collection agency that very day. Once they confirm your payment and find a way to keep your deposits, they still won't call off the collection agency. In fact, you will never hear from them ever again after you leave - not by mail, e-mail or phone. I actually left two weeks early and paid the last bill when I left but they STILL turned me over to collections. Insane. Fortunately I save everything but if I hadn't, I feel certain I would have been screwed. These are not good, honest, forthright people. They are not to be trusted. They will love you until you decide to move, then they turn nasty. Find some of the reviews on the other sites. I should have listened! Welcome to Florida.

Unit not move-in ready for a number of reasons that should have been taken care of before we were here to move-in. Only 6 mth lease we could find. So far community and unit okay for price. It's a bit pricey on short term, 1 year price in line with market value.
