The community was nice looking. There was a gate that needs a key card in order to access the complex. There is also a gym, laundry room and pool all right next to each other. The community seems to be very quiet and family friendly.

There were just too many demanding changes this year and late last year with a 6 to 7 month period. Painting of apartments buildings, painting of parking lots (this required moving of your cars and long walks to home), moving our stuff of your patios, move out of the laundry /pantry area due all the repairs, modifications, upgrades and repairs. Sidewalk maintenance, fire alarm/sprinkler check, Fire extinguisher check, dryer vent cleaning. It's very disruptive, aggravating, and frustrating to the residents and pets. Pets have to be placed in the bathrooms during some inspections so, this can be stressful for your pet. Office staff is great. Maintenance staff is so, so depending on who you get assigned to help you. It's not everyone. Most are great. Respectfully

The office staff are always pleasant and responsive to any resident needs or requests. The maintenance staff are some of the best I've ever encountered and maintenance requests are handled in a timely manner. The buildings and grounds are continually upgraded and kept in good condition. However, as with many apartments in the area, rent increases may soon exceed the value of living in the community.

The community is beautiful and the apartments are decorated nicely. The leasing staff is very friendly and helpful. As I am relocating from another state, I had to tour the apartment and community via FaceTime with my sister and the leasing agent was very patient and helpful.

The apartments are large and spacious. The patio space is large enough for you to have a mini garden and a lounging set. The leasing staff is friendly and helpful. The maintenance staff is not very helpful to your needs for repairs and carpet cleaning,

Maintenance is always fast and efficient. The staff up at the clubhouse are always so friendly and helpful. The pool area is amazing with great views of the lake. Overall, I am very happy with living in this community.

This is a safe, friendly and well-maintained community. If you have an issue, the office & service staff takes care of things in a timely manner. The pool is fantastic. The gym is serviceable - just ok. Overall, this is a pretty good place to live.

Reasonably priced. Gate is always broken which doesn't help the lots of suspicious activity at night. Staff is friendly and helpful, but sometimes very hard to get a hold of them if needed. They're trying to make it a better community and it shows. Sometimes they notify the residents to do things too short of a notice such as moving cars to do road repairs, fire extinguisher inspections, annual sprinkler inspections, and all that- but the communication has been better as of lately. They are fixing things that are within their control and that is awesome. I just personally don't want to be inconvenienced every few weeks to keep up with all of the new improvements they're working on. Love the valet trash pickup as cleanliness has been a big pet peeve of mine (as I would hope it would be for anyone who lives here) and it has helped significantly.

Lovely gated apartment community with several fun amenities, like pool, gym, tennis court. We have Upscale neighbors, and the apartments are freshly painted which gives better curb appeal. We also have valet trash service. That is so much better than having to take it on your own.

I love my apartment and wish I didn't have to leave. Unfortunately, due to the way apartment pricing is, I can't afford to live here. However, my apartment has a beautiful view and is one of the biggest in the area. The office staff is awesome and I love being here. Pest control is kind of an issue, only because I think someone in my building has them. Never seen a roach until now.

I toured other apartment complexes in the area and am happy with my decision at the Columns. Charleston may be nice on the outside and have a huge lobby with Starbucks inside, but their apartments have no square footage and when are you ever in your apartment lobby except for when needing staff help? The Columns offer spacious apartments in a safe area, the neighborhood is safe, quiet, peaceful, and the more room for your money, especially in todays market.

I was able to complete a self-guided tour of a 2 bedroom model unit and the amenities. The apartment was spacious. The process to complete the self-guided tour was easy. Every person I came in contact with was helpful. Kelly answered all my questions.

This community has been great so far. The office and maintenance staff are great and super helpful. My only complaint is the prices for what you get, but that is more related to the market. Also, Hwy 54 has been under construction for quite some time which leads to heavy traffic.

Community management and maintenance personnel are friendly, caring and efficient. The buildings and grounds are well cared for. The swimming pool is quite nice and well maintained. The exercise facility is easy to access.
