If you want an honest review from a former tenant keep reading. First off do NOT believe the previous posts. Management staff will put positive posts on here. They make it look like this place is so great, and things are changing, but they are not. They make it sound like there are changes coming or in the works, but there are not. After living here four years the only changes I have seen are new wood chips in the playground area, doggie doo baskets put up, and the buildings pressure washed (which they do each year). Other than that all I noticed was a few railings fixed, and handicapped signs put up in certain parking spots. Yes this place has gone through several management changes. It was previously owned by Lyon management. None of the staff is left from that group. In December of last year (12) it was bought by Mckinley management. The staff that is in there now is very rude and does little for you! James the property manager is somewhat o.k., Whitney is there for a paycheck, and do NOT deal with Jocelyn. This woman should be working in a fast food place with her attitude. Very rude, and will not deal with you. I could say a lot more, but why bother, and yes I am not afraid to name names, especially after dealing with these people. I wonder if the corporate office knows how they handle things? When I first moved to Jasmine at holcomb bridge, I was suckered in by a craigslist posting. I took a unit in the back of the complex on the top floor for peace and quiet. That did not last long. Noisy neighbors, noise from houses in back and next to the complex, kids running up and down the stairs, and freely in the parking lots. Not what I call peaceful. Even though I had a wooded view with nature around ( I often saw red and blue birds, deer, and more) it was ruined by your neighbors who always seem to stand out in the breezeway and talk on their phones at the top of the lungs. Lets see, bugs, OH YES, BUGS! You will see them often as well. Pest control is USELESS here. Office staff will say "I will put you on the list to be sprayed", but they never show up. You actually have to call to be sprayed. I have not seen a pest control guy in months! When the roaches get in through your cabinets and patio door, look out. I have had them all from big to small. The small ones are worse. They got into my kitchen and made a home inside my coffee maker. YUK! Rent is affordable to start. I was started off at $600.00 a month. But was up to $760.00 when I left. Your rent WILL go up each year depending on market value for your home, and unless you resign a lease expect to pay $100.00 additional. This is without water. Beware, now that Mckinley owns this property they are jacking the rents up. The only reason I stayed at Jasmine as long as I did was for convenience. With Kroger right across the street, and cvs right next door, it made it ok. Lets see what else. Parking is very hard to get after 6pm. People park there cars, and just leave them there for weeks on end. The buildings are old (roughly 30 years), and issues are always coming up. They try to make the property look nice by having landscaping each week, and maintenance usually shows up in 2 days, but it does not help when the buildings are that old and have not even been painted in gosh knows how long. Oh yeah, amenities, they are there, but can you always use them? NO! The workout room is old and outdated. The equipment is ragged out, and some of it always broken. The pools. They have 2 pools. The lower pool HAS NOT BEEN OPEN IN 2 YEARS! There is always an excuse about it. " Oh the pump is broken" or " It has cracks in the bottom" Truth is they wont pay to have 2 pools open on the property. The upper pool was closed several times last year as well due to cleaning issues. At one point they closed it because another tenant put their dog in the pool! If you want my advice, even though this review may seem harsh at times I would run away! Fast! There are so many more apartment choices in the area. After being there 4 years I found that out. By the way this is not another review from a former pissed off tenant. It is just a honest review of what I observed. Best of luck to you.

The Ole Bait and Switch!!!
I've been a resident for almost 1 year. Initially, I have recommended the property to others as a good place to live. My building is in a good location, the landscaping is okay and maintenance was good. However, lately the maintenance has become ridiculous. It took 3 weeks to get someone to stop the leaking kitchen faucet. I am still waiting on them to make repairs that were requested upon move-in (over 7 months ago). The great washer/dryer amenity is great until one needs repair. At that time you are back to spending quarters at your local laundry because they are not going to fix the dryer that does not dry on any setting. Don't waste time calling corporate either, because they will not answer and will not return any message that is left on the machine (no matter how many you leave). I was really hoping this community would be good, but since the new office staff took over, I have caught hell with getting maintenance issues resolved. It seems that they reel you in and that's all folks. I still like the community, however, I am absolutely floored by the lack of concern for the tenants when it comes to maintenance.

Fair
Decent 2-bedrm apartment for low rent. Personally, my building (16) is fairly quiet, has good landscaping and so far I've found my repair request to be handled fast and by friendly staff. I don't really interact with office staff other than to pick up packages - but they did misplace one delivery of mine for 3 months. Overall, fine for the deal on rent I got (thanks ProMove).

Jasmine at Holcomb Bridge (formerly Greenhouse Apartments)
I lived in Greenhouse Apartments for 6yrs and remained there until it was bought out by Jasmine Apartments, Lyons Management for 2yrs. Under the Mgt of Greenhouse the property quality was satisfactory but the quality began to deminish tremdendously around the time it was bought out by Jasmine, Lyons Management. The investation of German roaches was horrifying! The extermination was a joke because it apparently was feeding the roaches and they multiplied. The landscaping/grounds are runned down around the walkways and not restored or referbished. I would not recommend this Apt. Complex to a homeless person because the rented to residents who were illegal because they exceeded the limits per occupancy e.g. 4/6 people in a 2bdr. apt. When reported to Mgt. nothing was ever done to eliminate the problem. The office staff were either rude, ignorant or non-responsive. Alpharetta, GA is a lovely community and the schools are excellent! However, Jasmine Apartments does not reflect the elegance of Alpharetta's reputation.

About moving within Jasmine@HB.
I just want to know how it works to move within an apartment. Do I have to repay fees? My lease ends the end of August so when will I have to pay the next months rent? Can I upgrade and can I stay with the same floorplan as well as participate in the specials at the time? Thanks for any feed back. The front desk receptionist only said: " yes you can move within." and then CLICK, they hung up on me......maybe I should move but the hassle is what I'm tryin to avoid right now and for once I want a descent apartment instead of a place I'm to ashamed to bring my friends over.

POOR MANAGEMENT, SEX OFFENDERS on PROPERTY!
Try to pay your rent a couple days late and see what happens. Gang activity has increased here and then I also discovered a child molester is living near the swimming pool and management has not notified anyone of his presence. Childern almost outnumber the adults and they have done nothing to protect these children. Management is obnoxious, and have a terrible attitude.Their fire extinguishers are all missing. They did some small renovations and said it was in the millions, maybe in yen. Bad place to live , glad I am gone. Do not walk out at night! BEWARE

Robbers!!!!
I applied for an apartment but wasn't approved. I sent the $125 holding deposit on June 3, 2008, they received the $125 on June 4th, because I sent it through one day mail, I found out that I was denied on June 4th, I was told they had sent my $125 through mail on June 10. 2008 and here it is July 2, 2008 and I still haven't received my money. I have spoken with several people, leasing agents, managers, you name it, they all said that they would call me back, never did, so I called them back and once again I was told that they will look into it and will call me back, they never did, so I called them back. Today I am still going through the same thing. I feel that if I did my part in sending them the money, then they should be honorable and at least send me a check for $125 since I have never received my money. I don't know about you, but I need my money, and I will not stop until I receive my $125 even if I have to sue them after I consult with my attorney. Even if I could, I wouldn't rent from them or even recommend them, bad business and worst practices!!!!!!!!!

It's June and no air conditioner for four nights! Maintenance is terrible!
I have lived in same apartment for seven years. The new management that took over 1-2 years ago sucks. I can call with kitchen light out and it will take them over a week to fix it. You have to call them at least 3 times a day to remind them. Now it is June and the air conditioner is broken. I have a seven month old baby and it is hot and stuffy here. I have called during the day and no maintenance shows up. Have to call after hours and they show up fiddle with the unit and say it is fixed. But no cold air is coming thru vent. He says it will take an hour to move the air around. Two hours later it is no different then when he got there to fix it. Going on fourth day (a Saturday) since they don't do much on weekends looks like another two days till someone looks at it. I'm staying in a hotel and Jasmine management said they won't reimburse me. I'll have to contact corporate office but the Jasmine management doesn't know that number. Go figure. I have only seen two roaches so I don't think that is a big deal. When it was Greenhouse Apartments they were awesome management and maintenance. These new owners are terrible. I have just given my 30 day notice today and will be moving right across the way to another apartment community. With working air conditioning!!

Don't move here
I have lived here for three years. I have lived through the transition from Greenhouse (Equity) to Jasmine (Lyon). The first thing I noticed about the transition is that all of the people who had jobs and decent cars left. We were the only ones left, because we are looking to buy a house. The office staff has gone from somewhat useless to completely useless. They kept the office manager, which was a bad idea. Once you have requested something more than once, forget it. You are now on their "ignore list". I am currently trying to get my AC repaired and they have gone three weeks of "oh, we'll get to it." Bugs: there are many posts here about the bugs. You eventually give up. We have ants. The kids now play with them. They won't go away unless they raze the buildings and dig up the nests underneath them. Safety: for a while, from 2006 to 2007, it actually got better. However, since the transition, it has gotten worse. There are now police cars here every day. Noise: again, it was ok for a while. Now, the kids stay outside and block the driveways and roads, playing night and day. The cars that have the boomboxes are becoming more prevalent. The came in and cleaned up the grounds, but now it is going downhill again. Not sure if they ran out of money or what happened. The buildings have never been of great quality, but they just paint over the problems instead of repairing them. You may have better luck, since they gutted a few of the newer apartments while back, but now they seem to have stopped. So, to sum up: if you don't mind the noise, like kids in your way when you drive in/ out, do your own maintenance, don't mind walking a ways to your car in the dark through scary-looking people, and like seeing a lot of police cars day and night... MOVE IN! YOU'LL LOVE IT!

Very Nice
After reading some the comments, some of you people make yourselves sound very stupid!. Why would you live somewhere for 5yrs that has uncontrollable roaches and ants. I've lived here for almost 2yrs and I love it. I can't speak for the whole complex but the building I live in is very quiet as well as the buildings next to me. The ground is very well maintained as well as my apartment. When I first moved in I had an ant problem, but it was taken care right away! The only thing I don't agree with are some of the fees. For instance transitioning from a one bedroom to a two bedroom cost $500!! But, other than that I have no complaints. Someone mentioned something about their utility bills being high. I water for me, my fiance, and our son has never been more than $35. I don't have any roaches, ants, spiders, and any other creepy crawlers pestering me. If I did, trust they would hear from me every single day until the problem was fixed. I would recommend the community to those of you looking.

NEVER EVER RENT FROM JASMINE (FORMERLY GREEN HOUSE PARKWAY)
To add to the past review "I would not recommend my worst enemy to live at Jasmine at Holcomb Bridge (formerly Greenhouse Apartments)! I am counting down to my last day of my lease agreement here. There are roaches that are uncontrollable because of problems possibly .." The manager is rude, disrespectful, arrogant trashy black woman that doesnot know the rules or law, feels on top of the world, repairs are done late if done but will have staff call renters about rent and dying to put charges on rent. The complex is accident prone and danger to children and drivers cause the management is stupid and foolish enough not to trim brushes close to mail box with many near accidents with children involved. Roaches and creeping insects fly. There are two very nice staff but the dark, black arrogant ,illiterate manager must be removed and apt. put in care of more knowlegable, matured individual that can give you monies worth. As it is all put together I will more than agree with other reviewers who believe that with the new management as is never rent that is why their rating is 31% it is far worse than tht. The Managers attitude stinks.Where have you seen management acting illegally calling you at work on your phone like collection agency by the fifth of the month. They all need to be trained and educated.Maybe the manager with her ignorance and fake smile is a member of the owners and has no respect for regulations and housing rules. never count on anyone except the good will of some to get anything even that is dangerous taken care of. Just go in and ask to see the dark black manager and you get attitude upfront.it should be a red flag

Decent PLace to Stay
I stayed in Jasmine at Holcomb ( Previously known as Greenhouse Apts). After the new management took over an year ago, i believe they did a good job on maintainence of the community. The staff is friendly and i had not issues otherwise. Neighbours were little noisy but didn't bother much. Good Surronding and atmosphere. Quality may be a little low but you get waht you pay for. I would suggest people to stay here if on budget. Good location.

It's okay so far...
I just moved into a two-bedroom and I like the location and the size of the place, but I've only been here two weeks and have already seen two roaches. I'm going to spray the place myself and then get the bug guy to come spray. The good thing is that I have a cat that will hunt the roaches and kill them, but I don't even want to see them crawling around. It makes me feel dirty, but I keep my place very clean, so I don't know why I'm getting roaches. The office is rather disorganized and didn't even give me a copy of my lease, so I'm going to have to go back and get it from them. Also, when I first moved in, they were supposed to have taken out the washer and dryer (because I have my own I wanted to put in) but they didn't and the lady in the office said she would have them take them out. I let a week go by and no one came so I called them back and reminded her and she said that she forgot and that she was going to put the work order in right then. It then took them another week to even get around to coming and taking them out. The first week I lived here, I noticed that it was always cold in my apartment no matter how high I had the heat on. Turns out my front door had a crack around the edge and was letting in a LOT of cold air, but my boyfriend was able to fix it with weather stripping. Now my apartment stays warm. I've noticed some other people posting reviews complaining about noise, but I really don't ever hear my neighbors. Every once in a while I'll hear someone walking in the apartment above mine, but it's not bothersome. Other than that I never hear anyone. Maybe I just have quiet neighbors. I will say that so far I feel pretty safe here, and my neighbors seem nice. I think for what you get here, the price is a little on the high side, but that's to be expected in this city. It's a bigger city than I'm used to living in, so things are just more expensive here. Aside from the roaches (a problem I plan to address immediately), the somewhat disorganized office, and the crack on the edge of my front door, I'm happy here and would recommend it to others. Just make sure you sign up for pest control and check your door and window openings for cracks.

Be very scared
I live there for 5 years and for 5 years I had roaches and ants. I had to pick up my own trash in the front of my building. The front office is totally worthless. There will never be any upgrades but the rent will go up. Don't bother complaining because they won't do anything about it. Everything in the apartment is OLD AS HELL

Horrible! Horrible! Horrible!
I would not recommend my worst enemy to live at Jasmine at Holcomb Bridge (formerly Greenhouse Apartments)! I am counting down to my last day of my lease agreement here. There are roaches that are uncontrollable because of problems possibly with neighbors having pests. The paint that they use on the wall is like chalk because traces of it can be found on anything that might happen to brush against any wall in the apartment. The walls are thin and any movement or music can be heard through the ceiling. This includes your neighbor taking care of personal business in the shower or bathroom and sounds of sex. I have to request pest control to come every two weeks to spray at my apartment because I cant stand to see the nasty pests running around. The landscaping is non existent except for around the leasing office. Tenants can just hang out on the steps and throw beer bottles around and it seems that there isnt staff that cleans up around the area because the beer bottles stay in the place that they are thrown for weeks at a time. Getting them to do maintenance in your apartment is like pulling teeth. The rates are low but you get what you pay for. At this time the rates might not be as low as they once were because tons of people are moving out and its because they are going up on the rent but not making improvements or upgrades on the apartments. There is no professionalism within the leasing office. Phone calls are not returned when involving important matters. Ive had to complain about rental payments that were not posted to my account. My experience has been HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE! The only good thing I can say is that I have never had issues with feeling safe or experienced any kind of vandalism. I am a person that takes great pride in my quality of living, and Jasmine at Holcomb Bridge doesnt fit the bill in my expectations of providing that.

in general
I have no idea who is paying the rates that are showing on the sample on the pricing page. I've yet to find anyone there paying such a low rate. My building is all 1 bed/1 bath and we are all paying at least 100 over the amount shown during the same period of time; and btw, none of us are paying the same rate in spite of having moved in or renewed very close in date. I feel that this is worth sharing at this time since there are many people that may be leaving the property soon because they are quoting different rates. To everyone basically. People looking to move in are being given prices for a 1 bed/1 bath at over 100 to nearly 200 less than they are quoting for renewals. I found out a few weeks ago that I could get a 2 bed/2 bath for 20 more than what I am paying now for a 1/1. I have no idea what that is all about but I find it to be highly suspect especially considering what else goes on around here. Let's just say that there are a lot of cops around at times for domestic, noise, and drug calls. After living here for a while, I now feel badly that I recommended it to some of my friends. There are other things, like the charges, rules and such I didn't find out about until I had already signed most or all of the lease paperwork. I would strongly advise demanding clear and concise answers (I was told that water was included - which it is not) and excercising your right to see the apartment you will be leasing before you sign anything - on the day you sign. I will never again view an apartment and sign the lease the next day. I have no idea what happened in that time but things did not go well for me. My apartment had not been cleaned and painted. I don't care about the paint but I do care about the dirty. I rented a carpet cleaner and did the carpet myself and I bombed the apartment for bugs. I finally moved in about 2 weeks after I signed the lease. The office was not interested. Also, the person who processed my paperwork and move-in charges did not do the math correctly nor fill their part of the paperwork correctly, resulting in major issues for me when I went to pay the rent the next month and the following month.. As well as other problems that were not monetary. There are better apartments in better neighborhoods nearby.

Not the best but not the worst
Honestly there were minor problems in the very beginning. We moved from another state and we paid the deposit 3 weeks prior. When we arrived maintenance repairs weren't made yet. I was told they would fix them the first week of move in and they didn't. We had a serious ant problem in the beginning as well and it was frustrating awaiting pest control to handle that. I had an issue with the staff in the rental office as well. Nilda is the sweetest but the other people are just lucky to have their jobs. The staff is quick to threaten eviction. If you're looking for a place that you will be treated well look past Greenhouse.

Pretty Bad Place
My closet has flooded more than 10 times now and all they do is mop it up. The apartments are pretty cheap, and the admin and maintenance office is pretty lazy. I am one of the good tenants who always pays on time (usually I pay by the middle of the month), keeps the apartment clean, not loud or obnoxious. I think the guy who wrote the review saying that the admin office treats the good tenants bad and are afraid of the bad tenants is pretty much the case!

Given the fact that Equity Residential is one of the largest publicly traded residential companies in the US, I would think they would do something to fix this potentially HUGE liability (shoty maintenance being the key liability), but they don't seem to care.

So why do I stay you ask? Because I am single (meaning I have no wife to worry about her safety), and I am a workaholic (usually 80 hours at least a week), so the poor living arrangements don't bother me that much. The money I save in rent allows me to do more charity work with it or travel. Unless you fit in that type genre of life, I would stay clear. Go to Champions Green or something else near by.

Ok but maybe not.
This place was wonderful at first. One of my top apartments by far. The woman who moved me in was great. Then maintenance started going downhill. They really don't know what they are doing. You have to request repeat repairs, because they'd rather half a** repair it than replace it. The noise level is actually louder than it was when I moved in.

The staff are sometimes stupid to simple requests and they promote eviction. The apartments bill you for your water. If they do not receive your rent and your water payment together, they will not accept either, hence promoting eviction. They should just invoice residents for rent and water so that it would be one check, rather than two separate transactions.

They also do not take third party checks, so if someone offers to pay your rent, they will not accept it. They hardly ever work with you. I am planning on breaking my lease soon, and pray that it will go smoothly!

The man and service staff are so lazy. I takes 3 days to fix anything. They have roach's and the mexican fix their cars out front. Kids are everywhere playing ball.. They could care less all they want is your rent on time, but nothing gets fixed on time. I would not move in Greenhouse for nothing. They raised my rent, but did not new in the apartment without me having to ask.. It took me 1 month to get a ceiling fan. and the complaint line, don't bother.
