Nicole James told us we were getting our $200 deposit back after the final walkthrough. We now received this final statement that our water bill was 249, and now we owe $49, else they will turn us into collections. Our water bill has never been that high, especially since it was only for 5 days in May. This is so wrong, and I highly do not recommend living here. The fact that they are threatening us with collections is so wrong. We have always paid rent on time. They won't even answer the phone so we can discuss this. We have called multiple times right after we received the email.

I DECIDED TO POST THIS DUE TO THE FACT THIS APARTMENT COMPLEX HAS CLEARLY MISREPRESENTED THEMSELVES, MISLED ME INTO SIGNING A LEASE, AND FRAUD!!! I SIGNED MY LEASE ON 8/17/17 moved out on AND TERMINATED MY LEASE (moved out on 8/31/2017) DUE TO SEVER COCKROACH INFESTATION THEY HAVE!!! APARTMENT 206 WAS INFESTED WITH THEM. I HAD ROACHES IN MY SINK, WASHER/DRYER, KITCHEN, MICROWAVE, LIVING ROOM, BEDROOM, BATHROOM, YOU NAME IT I SEEN THEM CRAWLING...COCKROACHES COMES FROM FILTHY, UNCLEANLINESS AND DIRTINESS!!!!! THE PROPERTY MANAGER TRIED TO SAY THIS NEVER HAPPEN AND SHE NOT SURE HOW THIS HAS OCCURRED AND APOLOGIZED TO ME ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS, BUT I HAS ENOUGH AT THAT POINT (ESPECIALLY WHEN TWO ROACHES JUST DECIDE TO CRAWL ON ME WHILE SITTING ON MY COUCH!!!!!!! I HATED COMING HOME TO THIS PLACE FOR THE 14 DAYS I STAYED THERE... **STAY AWAY** Miguel is a lovely sales person but he is the worst when it comes to communication, he waited until I applied before he threw in another $60 charge (i.e. Cable). I had to call the leasing office in order to get additional info on my app. I asked at that point & time if the cable included wifi, their response was no & that this was required. Well I DO NOT watch TV. The only thing I do is stream music or tv shows. Miguel was not in the office & the lovely woman said well you've been evicted & your application has been denied. I said welp I've never been evicted & that's fine can I please just get my $150 deposit back? She said yes I will go ahead & release the funds. It has now been a total of 7 days since I've spoken with Miguel & another 5 since I was told that it wld be reversed. I figured that since it's been 5 business days/7 normal days that I shld be getting a refund in my account. Again, I haven't heard anything else from anyone at this complex. However, Miguel has been contacting a girl friend of mine all weekend. He literally called her 3 times in a row on Saturday but again I have yet to hear anything from him (I supposed that since he received $50 guaranteed bucks from me he cld care less). I reached out to the leasing office & made a simple inquiry which resulted in the Leasing Manager & I going back & forth. She then said "Well how about this, have you found a place to live yet?" I responded by saying "yes I have" & I'm not interested in living in a community that doesn't disclose all information until after receiving my money." I was then transferred over to the NEW property manager. She showed no empathy, no compassion & continuously cut me off. She stated that she cannot hold Miguel accountable for what he said since she wasn't there. Here's the thing I have 2 other people who were there & heard the same thing that he said to me while on FaceTime (I was unable to make it in the office). She continued to mention my credit score but I explained to her that I don't need any info on that but I need to have my $150 refundable deposit returned. She stated that it wld be an inconvenience fee. Please don't waste your time or money at this place.

First of all I'm not going to complain about the apartments, My issue is with the management Mia and Tonya have got to be the worst managers I've ever met I tried to pay my rent on the 4th and they charged me a late fee saying it was late I paid it last month on the 4th and it was no problem so when I tried to talk to them they said it was up to their discretion I've never been late or missed a payment since I've lived here I asked them could I speak to the regional manager and they said they could not give me the number so they would have her call me it's been a week and I haven't heard from anyone these managers have absolutely no people skills they are very disrespectful I am gonna have to take them to court to get my money back for the late charge I have never did business with people like this if you are considering living here DO NOT DO IT!!!!!!! Please do not make the same mistake I made this place is not for decent and honest people they could care less about their tenants I'm gonna have to contact their corporate office myself because I'm not getting any help from these managers.

Great place to live love Mia and rest of the staff. Maintenance takes care off my request in a timely manner. The only setback is when one of the Maintenance staff got transferred Shane was great for our community and will be missed. Darryl and the other staff still take great care of the resident's we are treated like family.

Many of these reviews are about the previous management company and no longer apply. My family and I have lived at Ashley Forest Apartments for 6 months now. And while I would never tell you that things don't happen; I will tell you that the property manager, Mia, and the entire staff are very attentive and quick to handle all matters. They are quick to address any issues and the maintenance staff is just as responsive. Finally, the property improvements are amazing: a full gym to workout, a walking track that sits next to the lake, and more improvements to come!

Moved in here on November 22, 2016 from first hour at the rent office the problems begin. I could not see the apartment I paid for because it was not ready. After going back and forth with management about all of the extra fees I would be forced to pay (extermination cable exterior electricity sewage garbage water) I finally got my keys. I went to the store that night to pick up a few things once I returned the stove counter and refrigerator was completely covered with ants!!!! I have had to request the extermination services every week. The ants are in a new part of the house each day. Here it is two months later and my apartment is INFESTED with ants! They are in my closet tubs counter top laundry room floor and walls in the light fixtures in my and my daughters bed. ---- while I was driving in my car one came out of my coat!!! On December 20, 2016 I was able to scoop up enough dead ant put them in a small glad baggie and took them to the office to show management and the exterminator confirmed it is an infestation for sure and they have to find out where it is coming from. That's not all everyone of the electrical covers to the sockets fall off when you plug something into them. I was told that they put the wrong covers on and it would take a days work to correct the problem. Well after putting in a request to fix them Maintainace came and replaced all of them in 10 minutes only for me to plug something in and it fall off again! Next issue the hot water heater exploded in the apartment up stairs from me. As a result all of the water broke through the patched up ceiling above my water heater in my laundry room and flooded the place. As they took a few days fixing it the water continued to come down in to my house also flooding the ground doorway and soaking the carpet. They came and removed the padding under the carpet and vacuumed up the water but never replaced the padding. More ants came along with this problem. The toilets in this apartment are old when you flush them in a few minutes it brings back what you flushed prior. I thought this was a decent place to live by the looks of it apparently they just do a patched up job on the repairs to get tenants in the units. So uncomfortable in my own home.

Update 12/7/2016: Still have major maintenance issues. Management company brushes everything off. Never lived in such an uncared for place. Oh, they did spend a bunch of money to update their front office that already looked fine. Could have used that money to help their tenants. Oh well, 7 more months of hell and I am out. Unless, the management company decides to let me out of my lease, but they won't. So I will continue to bash. 0 STARS!!! I CHALLENGE ATLANTIC PACIFIC MANAGEMENT COMPANY TO OWN UP TO ALL THESE BAD REVIEWS AND FIX ALL RESIDENT PROBLEMS! I have been living at Ashley Forest since April. I feel like I can finally give this place the review it deserves. The first day I went to pick up my key and hand in my first rent check around noon, my apartment was not ready yet. The keys were not even ready to be handed out... on my moving day! They eventually gave me a copy of the keys later that afternoon. They asked when I was moving in, there were still things that needed to be done. Again... asking me these ridiculous questions on my moving day. I had to delay moving in my big items for almost a week. When I did move in all if my things, many items in the apartment still did not work. The sink was not running, dishwasher did not work, garbage disposal did not work, fridge did not work, oven did not work and my sink in my bathroom had a huge leak. It took many requests and months to get this fixed. My oven still does not work. The only updates are new carpet (which the maintenance men ruined already), new paint, subway tiles in the kitchen and new counters in kitchen and bathroom. The kitchen was not properly updated. My drawers were not installed properly. Constantly stick and do not fit on drawer tracts. All appliances are very dated. They replaced my broken fridge with an ugly one they spray painted to look new. Pest control is in our monthly fees, never seen a pest man on this property. I have had to pay to have my apartment sprayed. This property has a huge bug problem. Pool is actually updated and pretty, but closed half the time. Work out room has been closed for renovations for MONTHS. All residents deserve any monthly fees to be refunded due to not being able to use amenities. I have had several maintenance issues that are ignored or take weeks to fix. I believe it is now within my rights to break my lease without penalty. Do not live here! Awful awful awful.

Ok, I've been reading reviews and here's my take. I knew when I moved in that this was a new company. I also knew that these buildings were 40 years old so I had pretty realistic expectations. Was my move-in perfect? No, but they rarely are. The new staff is responsive and professional. There seems to be no crime. It's quiet at night. I've talked to the maintenance staff and I know they are inundated with a lot of work requests but they seem genuinely interested in resolving the issues as quickly as they can. I'm happy with my choice to move here.

Upon moving in at Ashley Forest I was excited about my new home until I arrived to discover a host of problems. First off...my unit was not ready on my move-in date having not been painted including but not limited to the walls and borders including cracks in the boarders wooden frame, chipped cabinets and faulty appliances, all of which should've been taken care of prior to move-in! Not to mention the unprofessionalism of the staff, most notably the property manager Destiny Yarbrough who seems to be incompetent of doing her job as she placed all the mishaps on her staff, was EXTREMELY rude, disrespectful, unacomidating and unprofessional to say the least, I was even told they misplaced my funds! Overall....I have had a HORRIBLE experience and I am looking to perform an early cancellation. It is of your best interest NOT to rent here, I would highly recommend against it!

We have lived here at Ashley Forest for 10 months now. When we moved in it was under the Conner management and then 3 weeks later it was taken over by Altanic Pacific. Needless to say none of my work orders were completed. So we did it ourselves. I have ask that my thermostat be replace because my heat/ ac never shuts off. If I leave my ac run all days it freezes up within 3 days. They say they do regular maintenance like change the batteries in smoke detector , filters, etc. but we used our fire place and didn't get the flute open all the way and our apt filled with smoke and nope smoke detector never went off because there was a broken wire. Kitchen cabinets are crap all the bottoms are caved in and they never replace them even in the renovated apts. they just paint them We pay $45 a month extra for 2 pets and that suppose to cover the cost of doggie bags in the stations to clean up after pets and they are always empty. The new property manager Destiny is so disorganized and tells you want you want to hear but never follows through. I hate to be lied to. When you call the main number it said no voice mail has been set up and have no way to get ahold of maintenance after hours. So tonight I ask for a phone number for maintenance and they gave me a bogus number to someplace in Canton. This place needs a makeover in the staff that runs it. No wonder why Norman and Jose quit. Now we have 2 temp girl and a disfunctional property manger. It could be a nice place to live but right now they take your money and just lie to you. Very frustrating!!

I have been here year and yes I signed another year. But if it were not for my daughters school I would have moved. The neighbors are great, it's a quiet community, but I have had complaints from the day I moved in and there is still an issue with everyone of them. The maintenance team is so over worked they can't get to everyone, and I don't want to be the resident who yells the loufest. But apparently if you go to the manager and yell that is how she priorities the work orders. I pay my rent and don't want friends and family to come into my apartment think I live in the ------. Higher management team needs to come talk to the residents and dis cuss issues here. Nobody on the staff stays big turn around. I am rating matenance poorly but I am putting out the Shane is the best. He tries to fix what he can before Destiny pull him away because I didn't yell loud enough.

I have read some of the reviews on here and I understand there all always challenges to apartment living but I have had a really good experience with the apartment and management staff since I moved here in the spring. Their were things that needed fixed when I moved in but they were all addressed within a few weeks. I know they were painting the outside so their maintenance team was a little stretched. I didn't expect my work orders to be done right away but I was patient and everything was fixed that I asked for. The complex looks good, the pool is nice, good neighbors, and no issues with parking or crime at all. The staff is responsive - just go see them at their office and they will help you if speak to them. Just remember they deal with alot of tenants so you have to be patient and give them a chance to work things out. I have always rented out condos so this is my first experience in a traditional apartment and so far its been nothing but positive from the start. From what I have heard this new management team is head and shoulders above anything here prior.

I agree with you! Since management changed this year I am going through the same thing when it comes down to the "Maintenance Department" I am very disappointed because I been trying to trust the office staff when they give me different dates of when issue will be resolved but I am still waiting on maintenance staff to fix a problem which occurred on 6-8-16 and today is 6-16-16 and I'm still waiting. Clearly the management staff need to relook at their maintenance crew asap!!! Their job is to accommodate the residents that are paying rent per month. Is there anyone that we can contact that is over Ashley Forest Apartments Management Team??? Sincerely, Very Disappointed On Time Payment Resident !!! FYI would love to recommend Ashley Forest Apartments to a friend if they "Address the Issues ASAP!

Ever since management changed this year, service has been terrible. Can't get any maintenance person to fix anything but they will paint the outside of the building. When asked when someone would be by to fix a broken toilet I was told maintenance isn't staffed on site and they probably just forgot to come back. For the price point there's a lot of other places to consider.

What a horrible group of Managers. It must not be easy to manage an apartment complex and make everyone happy BUT. They are upgrading apartments and downgrading service. I used to refer people here before i even lived here, now i would never! I am ashmed to live here and communication with staff and management make me down right angry. It's one of those things that you don't even belive people do, they must be over worked and underpaid but that's not the communities problem. They are really unbelievably BAD.

I lived here for one year. I have experienced several issues starting on the first day! My apartment was damaged due to previous water leakage under the sink, roof, and the kitchen floor was not level. The carpet was never cleaned! I was supposedly living in an "upgraded" unit! The water damage was painted over and never repaired. I believe there was also issues with termites because of the damage on the porch. I put in a detailed move-in report that was mysteriously misplaced. The office staff is lazy and they take weeks to address maintenance orders. The worst part of living here is the office manager, Katrina. She is extremely unprofessional and does not care about the tenants. She is always trying to get over on the residents instead of seeking solutions that work for everyone. I found her to be grimy and distasteful. I would NEVER recommend anyone reside here.

Great place to live and raise children. The community is very quite and I love my neighbors! I have been here for 4 years and I do not plan to leave, I am very excited about the renovations that are happening here. The new office staff is very helpful, nice and responsive.

I have lived here almost a year. They apparently have a timeline on when they can fix heating/air conditioners. It is most definitely not based on our comfortability. My apartment has been 80° for 6 days...they are completely aware of this issue and have yet to fix it. Also, there are roaches here. (The heat sure doesnt help) I brought to the offices attention that i will not be renewing my lease due to this incident. Their response....."make sure you give your 60 days." Damn sure not the way to handle business. Dont waste your money or time on this apartment complex!

Ashley forest is not a luxury, it's a false advertisement. Manager is very rude and stubborn. Unit is falling apart part, I was supposed to move in on 25th, they have charged me whole month rent. They didn't pro rate us. They right way charged us 350 for application, now we are stuck. Never return our phone calls, trash is falling out everyday. Management, maintenence people including a manager...no one wants to work out here. Very lazy people including maintenence.doesnt fix what is broken.mold in bathrooms. Vanity toilets

I have never been treated so bad. Horrible management, they never return a phone call. I made a application october 31,15. They charge me $305.88 for an application to move in November 15,15. For an apartment 2bed/2bath, upstairs with wash and dryer include on the rent. They made a mistake to signed me in for the wrong apartment downstairs no washer and dryer. Last time I spoken to the manager she promised to review the list of available apartments as I requested and call me back and reschedule my moving before December 1st, that has been a week and half ago, I have heard from her since, today is November 30 I left a message, I went by the office she wasn't there, I spoken to another person and they do not have anything available. She or anyone could at least call me and let me know And apologize for her mistakes, but don't, they took the application money, and just don't return my calls. They have not done anything and even take responsibility for their mistakes, having no consideration with the situation at all, I am very disappointed with the way they are handling this situation, who wants to live in a place like that! For all the stress that your management put me true I want my full refund. Stay way from then, they have no word and they are totally disorganized, promise something they can delivered and take your money. Be careful!

This used to be a nice neighborhood ...I cant wait to move. Various reasons safety, maintenance issues, they seem to just let anyone move in and office staff is horrible. Most apartments in this area even have nice get togethers for the residents often. That has never happened here. They probably dont want us to see who were really living next to or that there are 13 people in a 2 bed rm above you. I wish they did better. They probably never will. The tennis courts always kids just hanging out, trash is a real issue too.
