Very nice complex and staff I have lived here for a year and plan to stay for another year. The apartment was an unusual value on my first lease, however the rent went up 11 to 12 percent on e renewal. Plan to stay if rent doesn't go up next year, however I do not blame Post for maximizing the rents that they receive. I rented the apartment because I thought it was underpriced compared to comparable communities. I renewed at a price that I thought was still competitive and I will leave if the rent goes higher than I think the complex Is worth. I didn't feel sorry for Post when my rent was low and I don't begrudge them getting what the market will bear if rent's go up. Service is first rate and the grounds are always kept immaculate. A lot of the complaints on this site do not reflect the reality of the community and I encourage people to check out other complexes because I think that Post Riverside is first rate and that most people would agree.

I lived at Post Riverside for 3 years, 2 years in 1 apartment and 1 year in another unit. Post Riverside is a beautiful apartment complex and the staff at Post has always been helpful and customer focused. I never had an issue with noise and felt safe there. Unfortunately, the management at Post Riverside cannot be trusted. I would never recommend Post Riverside because of their unprofessional management, major increases in rent come renewal, and because of my experience come moving out. My first renewal there, I was selected for an early renewal rate of a 5% increase. My second year, my rent was going to increase 24%! When speaking to the management, they don t care if you move out or not, there is no loyalty and wasn t any empathy. I was told (by the manager) that there were some people s rent that increased by $500 a month. I guess I was supposed to feel better about my increase. Because I loved the neighbors and the grounds, I moved to another unit in Post. That was an error in judgement on my part. Come time for my renewal for that unit, it was over a 30% increase. I knew that I wasn t going to stay for a few reasons. I won t go into to many details, but my advice to you is to make sure you cross your t s and dot your I s when dealing with Post. They may try to be nice and friendly, but the manager and assistant manager are looking for you to overlook the small details. Final word of advice (and shame on me for being na ve) is to attend the walk through when you move out. I also wanted to comment that I sent a letter to the management, including the regional manager, expressing my disappointment over my move out experience and never heard anything back. If you do move to Post Riverside don t let your guard down.

Nice from the outside with a few amenities. However, there are extra charges like $50 a month tacked onto your water bill and $20 a month for a Common Area Fee. Also, expect them to raise your rent approximately 10 % every year. That just seems wrong, especially in this economy. That on top of the already overpriced rent is annoying. Also, oddly enough, there appears to be no soundproofing, so noise is a big issue at times. Fortunately, there are three new luxury apts that should be opening soon right down the road which may offer better deals.

DONT MOVE HERE IF YOURE ANY OTHER RACE THAN CAUCASIAN! I'm not the type of person who EVER uses the race card. Yet at Post Riverside they definitely and constantly reminded me of the fact that I wasn't Caucasian. When you re paying $2000.00/per month for an apartment you should not EVER feel disrespected in ANY way. If we were only paying $200.00/per month we still would deserve respect. The new staff, especially the manager have treated my family with such disdain and contempt whenever we come into the office. The staff always talked down to me and treated me as if I wasn t as good as they were. I called the Corporate Office to complain and they laughed and said they would call the manager .What a joke!!!! If we truly live a post racial society, POST PROPERTIES ARE NOT!! I guess if you re not a racist you won t be hired. Or maybe they will train you to be. It s obvious that racism is a part of their Corporate Culture

The worst staff and management ever!!!! They lied to me and forgot to disclose all fees up front. Beware of their losing sales pitch and ask about all fees. They never would spray my apartment for bugs after several requests. ----------- is the worst possible manager. Do not stay here!!!! You will regret it as they are horrible at the front office.

The property is well kept and towne square is nice. However do not take a first floor apartment or you will feel like you are living under a constant construction zone. I have lived at Post Riverside for two years and like the location and that the grounds are well kept--but have had to move twice within the complex because the noise factor is unbelievable. Have tried to work with the management and each time told there is really nothing they can do.

Great place to live; best in Vinings area
I have lived here for more than eight months and couldn't be happier. Young professional and this is a great place to be until I buy something. First off, I feel good because it is on the property of the headquarters of Post. That makes me comfortable knowing they will take extra care of the property. I really don't have any complaints at this point, except for the retired lady above me who does laundry late at night on Sundays! Seriously, she called me to apologize if she's ever loud because she stays up late. Gotta love the South. Anyway, if you are a professional and looking for a good place to live in Vinings area, this is a good place.

No complaints whatsoever. Great place to live. The leasing office team has changed and there is definitely a difference between the new team and old team. The old team was really pleasant and warm. The most confounding part of renting an apartment here is the way the rental moves up and down on a daily basis. You see an available apartment on their website at $1995 and the next day it will be 2010. I even saw one jumping to $2085 within just a week. Not sure how the price fluctuates like stock market.I have even seen price fluctuate by 500 dollars within 3-4 months. Mystery??? I guess it is.

Increase in rent over 17% YOY
Any place that increase rent over 15% year over year is just not worth it, especially when they tell it is due to market forces. I went looking at other apartments and found most of the higher end ones either held their rent or only small increase from last year. Their managements attitude was if you do not like it then find somewhere else to live, bad customer services hidden with smiles is still bad customer service. Parking was bad At least one machine in the fitness was always broken Management did follow instructions on package, items that send to be fridgerate were left in the package closet

Best apt you can find
The only thing I have encountered is slight racism by an agent named Kristin who made everyone who was black in the leasing office wait as she waited on a white woman who had walked in the door after we were all waiting in the office for about ten minutes. But before that, I had no problems. These apartments are safe, clean, and convenient to the mall, restaurants and basically everything! Its a great place to live!

Great apartment complex, excellent grounds.
I've lived here for 2 years and never had a problem whatsoever. In fact, the little minor things I have requested to be done (tiny toilet leak, closet door off roller tracks) have be done the same day I put in the request! The maintenance man even helped me put up my curtains when I didn t have the right tools. The general/common areas are exceptionally well kept. They are very clean, well groomed and aesthetically pleasing. Honestly, the best I have ever seen for an apartment. At Christmas time the lights the complex puts up are amazing and in the spring they plant 100's of tulips. I mean the landscape itself is definitely top notch. The gym is great too, and I even cancelled my LA Fitness membership after finding myself routinely at the complex's gym. I read a couple of the other reviews on here and saw that some commented on the remodeling work. Yes that was unpleasant to look at when it was your building's turn to get worked on but all the workers I spoke to were courteous, nice, and respectful. They worked normal 9-5 hours and if you worked during the same time you never even heard them. I did not hear them once and in the long run, are glad they did it because it just made the apartments look nicer. I mean doesn t every apartment have to conduct maintenance and remodeling from time to time? Isn t it only done to up the property value and make the apartments better? I'm 28 and lived in different apartments since 18 and this is definitely the best I have lived in. I feel extremely safe, it is clean, I got a great deal, and the staff is very nice. They always wave, ask me about my dog, and are just generally friendly. I wish I could say that for even half of the other complex's Ive lived in.

Love Living here!
I have lived at Post Riverside for a few years now and I love it just as much as I did when I moved in! The mantinence staff is amazing here, I am always surprised how quickly they complete the requests. I would recommend Post Riverside to anyone. The location is great, right off I-75 as well as I-285... but the great thing is is how that property is hidden off the Chattahoochee River. Landscaping is beautiful! I have not had the issue with the fire alarms, as some of the other residents have stated.

DONT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID!!!
At first glance post riverside seems nice. When I signed the lease, I was told by mgmt that their would be light renovations taking place over the next month or so, little did I know that their would be round the clock serious construction over the next SEVEN MONTHS. During which time construction workers were given full access to all the buildings and all the rooms. Work began at 8am sometimes earlier and continued until 5 or six pm EVERY SINGLE DAY. As a student I found it impossible to study or sleep in on my days off. During those seven months, all residents of our building were evacuated at least 2 to 3 times a month due to faulty fire alarms, every time causing us to sit outside with our freaked out dog in the cold sometime for an hour or longer. At this point I was fed up and complained to management which told be to piss off and deal with it. I wish the horror ended their but sadly it only just started. I have a dog, which at post riverside is a real big hassle. They charge you over a thousand dollars for a deposit then send you letters when you let your dog out in anywhere other than the designated poop filled area they choose, only problem was it was at least 1200 yards from my building and I dont feel like walking five minutes to let my dog pee in 30 degree weather but I guess thats what you get here at Post riverside. The Maintenance at Post is never ceasing , just yesterday I had to tell the maintenance guy to stop blowing dust off the street with a leaf blower at 8 am. I have been woken up by that mans leaf blower more times than I can count and he is literally blowing the dirt off the street into the drain. However I do think its funny that every time i take my dog across the street I have to play hot lava with shards of glass , you'd think he'd blow those but hey its Post Riverside where intelligence is scarcer than places to walk your dog. To conclude I have absolutely hated living at Post Riverside and cant wait till my lease expires. The noisy maintenance is never ending , ( seriously im listening to some guys jackhammer the concrete as I am typing ) the management is rude and knowing what I know now would have committed hari kari before ever signing a lease here. ** UPDATE ** So since I have written this review the following has taken place: - the leaf blowing man now blows the street every day at 9, thanks.. - last week awoken by a screaming fire alarm at 2 am early Monday morning , however knowing it wasn't legit I tried to keep sleeping, after literally two hours of being tormented by this fire alarm I went down stairs to see what the deal was. I was given no explanation and everyone just went about it like it was a normal occurrence which has almost become comical. - About a month ago, a brigade of police and fire trucks raided the complex. Turns out someone committed suicide and was found in the woods behind our building where I frequently walk my dog. How did I learn this, not from anyone from Post but from this site, unfricking believable. - As I am writing this I am hearing a woman outside in the Town Square crying because all her possession's were literally stolen from her apartment across the street. TO CONCLUDE : I am so fed up with this place I could vomit. And I thought living downtown was sketch ha

Quiet and Quaint
I have lived at Post Riverside for two years. I never hear my neighbors above me or beside me. Everybody knows everybody which gives the community a neighborhood feel. There is a fully equipped fitness center that is kept neat and clean. The dog walking trail makes it convenient to walk your dog twice a day. The back pool is beautifully landscaped and quiet. I really enjoy my weekends at the pool. The maintenance techs always responds quickly to my request and the leasing staff is sincerely nice when I visit the leasing office. I highly recommend this community to anybody.

Post Riverside does not care about its tenants
UPDATE: 08.31.10 Does Post Riverside have ZERO concern for the safety of its tenants? The other day I got a knock from 2 men who said they weren't able to get into my apt earlier because of my dog. WHAT THE HECK? WHO THE HECK ARE THEY? Turns out they had access to my apt to do some minor repair work. Problem is they aren't one of the 2 employees who come in for changing/minor fixes. I had ZERO advance notice they were coming. They were not in Post uniforms, they are not Post employees just contract workers. So let me see since I wasn't home I couldn't possibly have both locks locked to the front door (only one has a key) so 2 strange men would have been in my home if it wasn't for my dog. Or WORSE if I didn't have a dog and I had been in the shower, with the non-key lock unlocked so my husband can get in the apt, I would have had 2 men in my apt while I was taking a shower!!! God this is insane. I'm going to have to move, my lease finally ends in a couple of months. I just don't feel safe with any Tom, Lee, or Jose coming at will, unannounced. I have to take a deep breath because this is so upsetting. Two yrs ago, before I had a dog, I was taking a nap on my couch and a guy came in the back door to take some loaned appliances. The rental equipment company guy had keys to my door. I ended up grabbing my umbrella from the laundry room and almost knocked him out - I thought he was an intruder. So now I locked both back door locks. I had them change the door locks - but as you can see from my comments above & below they still give the keys to anyone. Unbelievable. 11.19.09 1) Last year we get a letter telling us a woman is sexually assaulted behind the gates in one of the garages. They add some guy to watch people coming in an out for a couple of weeks. 2) They refused, absolutely refused to give us any information the type of circumstance, type of female, if she knew the man, if it was an employee, if she was raped, if they ever caught the man etc. 3) They have had renovations going on for 4 months, instead of working on 1-2 bldgs and finishing them up before moving on to another set, they are doing them all piecemeal. I still have no shutters, by balcony is not finished, the garage door has paint splatters for the last 3 months, the noise never ends. 4) They used to announce the fact that strangers would be in you apartment a couple of weeks ahead. Last week, the day before, we were told men would be in our apartment to replace the sprinkler heads. Great - in our closets, everywhere. 5) Yesterday we get a note saying the water would be turned off today from 10:30-3pm. They turned it off at 9:30 - one of us still has soap on, the other hasn't been able to take a shower, the dishwasher is stuck in mid-cycle. 6) In each AND EVERY CASE, Post Riverside has shown ABSOLUTELY NO CONCERN FOR THE SAFETY OF ITS FEMALE tenants. This in spite of the fact that they attract higher rents and a lot of professional women, giving the illusion that it is a super safe place. 7) Whether the painters, the change-the-french-door workers, the sprinkler people, etc - in each and every one of those cases Post allows these sub-contractors to enter our apartments and garages with KEYS and not a single Post employee attending the entry into our apartments.. I know because I have made sure I was home for as many of those "last minute" subcontractors are coming to your apartment visits. I won't be renewing my lease, today with the water being turned off 1 hr early, and only getting the call center not the bldg management was the last straw of disrespect and concern for my safety with more subcontractors coming into my apartment.

Best apartment complex around!!
I've been here since December and I absolutly love it here! A beautiful and safe place to come home to everyday. Great commute if you work north of 285. I don't know what planet the people are from that say the energy bill is expensive. The most I've paid is 75 bucks and that includes water, power, a 29 dollar landscape fee and a 3 dollar trash fee. You can't beat that! Great gym for an apartment complex. Beautiful Christmas lights that they leave up till Feb. Great neighbors, that are very polite.

Wow what a great place
Moved into Post Riverside three weeks ago after relocating from the UK and absolutely feel in love with the square, the apartment layout, its quality and generally the whole feel of the development and its nearby facilities. You have a quiet, safe environment, plenty of underground parking (well in my building), a well equipped gym, great restaurant and bar, good deli, a cleaners and really helpful, friendly and non pushy management team (and some of the ones I met at other developments I would not get my worse enemy to spend time with). My only issue is Comcast as Post have their own guy who was great but the first box did not work, the second has some missing functionality and two weeks later I am still waiting for service as Post have no responsibility after installing; handing it over to Comcast even though they installed a defective service in the first place........... can I blame Post no, can I blame the pitiful comcast customer care team...... you betcha. Journey to I75 northbound in the mornings is no more that 3 mins and then a totally clear road (going north bound that is) and similarly an easy commute home in the evening. I cannot recommend this place highly enough- I saw some expensive dogs before finding this absolute gem....... yes its expensive, but you get what you pay for and I know security and quality of living was paramount when I moved........ that is worth the premium in my opinion.

Great place to live
I love living here. tennis courts are great, it's super quiet, all the units are gorgeous... I guess my only complaint is parking. while there's usually enough, they dont have designated spaces for the residents, so, sometimes, when people have guests, you have to park pretty far, which is a major pain in the butt. I've complained about this to management, but, they've yet to do anything about it. My recommendation (and if I had to do it over again) is to get a unit with a garage.

Used to be good; going downhill
I've lived at Post Riverside for over three years, and while it has its nice attributes, overall it has gone downhill and I will not be renewing. By far the worst part is that, for some reason, just about every month, the fire alarm goes off at 2am for no apparent reason. It's been going off so often that firetrucks don't even come when they go off. Of course it's always the night before a work day, and at times it can take over an hour for it to get shut off. It's not worth it. The Good - The best part about it is that it doesn't feel like a 'typical' apartment complex, with the little town square and buildings (although several of the business in the square - like the bank and insurance agent - have closed and/or relocated) - Maintenance requests are completed quickly - Plenty of parking The Bad (besides the fire alarms) - Getting packages here is a joke. If the delivery company will not deliver it to your door when you are not there, the office will not sign packages for you. If the package is delivered to the office that they do not have to sign for, they stick it in a room that is only open during their limited office hours (M-F 10-6 and Sa 10-5) and in room that the entire complex has access to. They never check when you take a package, and I've had a couple of packages allegedly delivered to the office that I did not see there. When I called the office to tell them about the missing package, I was yelled at and informed that they were not responsible for packages. Great, thanks. - For some unknown reason, Post Properties has their own cable installers. So even if you call Comcast, you are dependent on a Post employee to install your stuff, which can seemingly take forever. - Lots of dogs here, and very large ones. I think there is supposed to be a limit to the size of dogs residents can have but it's clearly not enforced. - For the size of the complex, the gym is very small. Unless you're going to do cardio you'll want to get a membership somewhere. I had previously written that the good outweighs the bad and I had recommended it in the past but cannot any longer.

Living here and Loving it!
I came from owning my own home so I expected to feel some differences that were not to my benefit. It has however been to the contrary. I feel safer here than anywhere I have ever lived, the people here are very nice and friendly. The gate works flawlessly, it uses the weight of the car to determine when it can come down and close, thus deterring anyone who wants to keep a big dent out of their car from sneaking in behind you. It is quieter than I expected, and the grounds are kept very well landscaped, and so clean and neat. People are respectful of one another. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to have a nice respectable quiet apartment complex to live in.

Live here if safety, beautiful grounds and classy neighbors are high priorities for you.
I have lived at Post Riverside for a year and a half. Although there is some room for improvement in a few areas, I am very satisfied.

The parking is great, the apartment is fairly large, the grounds are gorgeous and I have always felt very safe. These are not cookie cutter "Post" apartments. There are some nice features.

Each time I think about moving, I research other places and realize how good I have it here.

I have had a really positive experience with my neighbors. They perform both credit and criminal background checks on residents. There are no low-income residents. I have never even heard of a single theft or crime on the property. And that is RARE in Atlanta, especially in Fulton County.

I only have a few complaints: the business center isn't great but it will do in a pinch (no paper, printers broken, only 2 computers and they are slow); there aren't enough carts to use for groceries, etc.; sometimes it is weeks between housekeeping in common areas. The Deli Market Cafe is not there for residents. They are never open and the owners are sour people.

It is hit or miss with the office staff. Sometimes they are great, and other times, they are rude, snippy and slightly dim.

The maintenance staff is amazing, especially Terry. They will fix anything for you.

As for rent hikes, I got my apartment for about 20% below "market price". I have renewed my lease once already and they raised the rent 5% from what I had been paying. I did the math and it would cost more to move than pay the difference for a year.

Seriously, read about other places and you will come running back to Post Riverside. It is close to everything but not in the middle of it all.

Beware of hike in rent when you extend your lease
Every time you extend your lease post tries to get as much as possible out of you. They would rather loose a quality resident than keep the rate reasonable...Beware..Also they are build cheap. You can hear every step if you have someone living above you.

Loved living there!
I moved into Post Riverside following a divorce, and it was a wonderful place for me to live while I figured out my life. The rent was a bargain for the location and amenities - the people were very nice - it felt safe - and I liked the fact that it was convenient to Buckhead, Downtown, Midtown and Vinings. Would recommend to anyone.
