Great Community

I have been quite impressed with the professionalism of the staff - starting from my first phone call inquiring about the property, through the application process, move in, and being in the apartment for over a month now. The staff is always professional and helpful, the grounds are well kept, and I feel very safe living there. I definitely recommend Monroe Place as an amazing apartment community in which to live.

I have been at Monroe Place for 3 years and overall my time here has bern great. I can honestly say that mostly everyone here is to themselves. It is a working class community, average age I would say is 35. I pass my neighbora time to time and everyone. Is always pleasant. To be honest, it is rare that I ever pass any of them though. Which is fine with me, as I like my privacy. Overall the commubity is very quiet. The only issues I encountered this year was some new residents moving in with kids who allowed their children to play in the parking lot. This went on longer than I would have liked. However, the ossue was addressed by Lee the propert manager, and instantly that issue has been resolved. Maintenance is very prompt. Anytime i have had a maintenance issue they come the same day, or next day at the latest. The office staff had some changes when Adam left, which I feel he was tje absolute best person in the office, however now that time has passed the changed has settled and the current stafff is professional and they take care of nusiness. Deborah the accounting. Specialist and assistant property manager has grown on me. She has proven to be quite professional and shown that she does cate about the community. I have had a few instances where she personally has helped me with issues I have had regatding this complex. She has gone above and beyond! This is a consitant community. I will continye to rent here until I purchase a home!

      Job Well Done!

As a current resident, I would just like to give you the honest approach that was taken care of by the leasing staff. Over the summer months, there was a spree of break-ins throughout the city of Atlanta, and not just our community alone. Atlanta-a high crime city! Once we heard of the incident, the MPA team was very pro-active in resolving the issue. A crime awareness meeting was established and a paid patrol service was immediately implemented. And it has been great to see them patrolling the grounds ever since. I feel very safe living here! I do not expect the apartment community to pay for damage to my vehicle. That is what insurance is for. That's what deductibles are all about people! It's not their fault that we had to suffer at the ignorance and poor upbringing of someone else. I will continue to live here because I love the location and the rent amount is to be expected. Quality rent amounts bring in quality people who will care for the community! Way to go and job well done on caring about us!

      Fair

I want to be as fair as possible. First off, the immediate surrounding area is not so great, however it is convenitent to I85, 400, Marta (just outside the apartment), and the linbergh/Buckhead area, ansley mall (which has a CVS, Kroger, Publix, pet store, etc). It is a heavily gay populated area (so if that type of thing bothers you you probably shouldn't move here). MY apartment was poorly painted and the hardwood floors were poorly installed. They slide back and forth as you walk. One the up side the apt comes with W/D hook up, very pet friendly (I have seen the pitbulls the previous person spoke of and have had no problems as I walked my toy poodle off leash). I also have had no problem with the "colored section 8" people the previous person was speaking about. The parking isn't the greatest but not bad, the layout in mine is kind of funny so be sure your furniture works. Now, I must say that my boyfriend and I are moving out for three main reasons. The floors and wall are paper thin and we got at least 6 noise compliants in three months. We are not noisy neighbors. I don't doubt the sound of us working out or walking carried into the downstairs neighbors apt but its annoying not to be able to feel comfortable in your own home. I actually spoke to my downstairs neighbor and sh is moving fro the same reason. We also got complaints while at the gym from the neighbor beside the gym (again we are not loud people). The second reason: the gym sucks. Third reason the gate is constantly broken and even shut on a rental car which we had to pay 1000 to get fixed.

        Look elsewhere

While the leasing office staff have always been kind and helpful, the whole set of staff changed abruptly about 2 years ago, which was really strange. The apartment units themselves are decent, although they are showing their age (worn, moldy weather stripping, old carpet, stained linoleum). The crime and noise (particularly outside) was my main complaint. If you happen to live on the side facing the garage, you will most definitely be woken up in the wee hours of the morning by screaming drunks, sometimes fighting, sometimes just chillin. This can be quite irritating. We would also receive a notice of various crimes, usually break-ins, on our door about once a month, and I feel it did correspond to the opening of the club across the street (not to mention there is an extended stay motel about a quarter mile away, which houses nothing but perps). The club would use the cul-de-sac for their valet parking, and also the public storage parking lot, which I'm fairly sure is illegal. The next morning, it was common to find trash all over the place, in the road, on the sidewalks, etc. Monroe Place really was a very nice complex about 4 years ago, the tenants were young and cool, balconies were nicely decorated, but sadly this is not the case any longer. I would definitely recommend looking elsewhere. It is Atlanta. There are hundreds of apartments for lease, and you don't have to settle.

          Renewed for the second time

I just renewed my lease again. It was a bit of an increase however I'm pretty happy here. They been pretty fair I suppose. The comments on here seem a bit racist at time and that bothers me but I never see the actual racism in the community, I suppose those people stay to themselves and I'm glad for it. I've never had a problem with the staff they are helpful and friendly. My largest reason for staying is because they seem to really care about making this a nice clean place to live. They had a few crime problems but I heard they hired patrol at night, which shows they care also. Some places would have been screw that you protect yourself. All in all I am content.

            I dont understand!

I have lived here for going on 6 months and I wanted to wait till at least this point to write a review. I just cant understand why this place has such bad reviews. Here's what; I have had no major apartment issues besides the normal "tub cloggin up" all of which have been handled the same day as my request. All of my neighbors are really friendly and I have no noise issues. I will say though, that I live on the "other side", the side not facing the fire station or the club. Yes you have those people who don't pick up after their dog but other than that the common areas are relatively tidy. The staff has always been nice to me (I pay my rent on time and this is generally the only time they see me) I have recieved one letter regarding a break in but guess what guys? You live in the city. Check other apartment ratings, this is an issue everywhere. My ONLY negative is the dog breed restrictions which are forcing me to give up my pit bull who is the sweetest dog. Its kind of stupid to stereotype dogs but hey, can't win them all.

              Monroe Place

I live at monroe place five years ago and it was a nice place to live. I moved back to monroe place this year and its gone down in quality. The grounds are not kept up with and I have seen the same dead spider in the walkway for about five months now. There is not trash service and the apts do not include washer and dryers. The water bill is expensive due to the pressure and leaks. The club accross the street is randomly loud at night. Several car break-ins.

The downhill slide continues i hear...

I still have a couple of friends living there, all of whom are just waiting for their leases to end so they can move out. I lived there for almost 5 years until about a year and a half ago and the downhill slide started with an all new management staff ( I will exclude a guy named Jason because he was actually professional and friendly ). The daytime door kicked in type break ins that always struck me as suspicious and the night time car break ins were rampant. My friends that still live there tell me that it's gotten much worse and that i was lucky to get out when i did. If you're going to stay in a place this crime ridden then you might as well live in Gwinnett and save yourself a ton of money. THis place is a waste, it was so nice and really quite peaceful. I lived there a long time with not a single complaint or incident...then....flush.

Now That the Drama Has Settled...

I've been at MP for almost five years. There have been changes in management and there was a rough patch last year with some folks from away who have now all gone. The "Scene Queens" have all left in a huff for newer apartments next door, and frankly... thank goodness! They are all lining up to pay more each month for the honor of being around other "sexy types" who ignore everyone around them as well. This is a fickle population who moves in herds... Once they spook they all run... Talk to any club owner in Midtown-they'll tell you the same thing. I am g*a*y and frankly, the same people on here writing about how this place went down hill were the ones who refused to speak to anyone outside their social circle while they were here. They did little to add to the setting around here and have been missed even less. Other windy, self serving reviews have been written about a change in demographics. Rude, offensive and hateful. Period. By nature areas change as time passes, people come, people go, places change. This place, if anything is becoming more friendly and open than it has been in some time. The stupidity of complaining about other people not excepting you for who you are, and in the next breath complaining about others around you should only be taken as it is written... without much thought. For those looking in the area, Monroe Place is in a great location, in the city (if you want crickets and cows mooing move west...). There is a good mix of people moving in and people are smiling in the parking lot again. If you'd rather text than talk, and always assume that people who take the time to say good morning at the mailbox are "hitting" on you, PLEASE do go elsewhere, the apartments with shirtless guys in their adds have you pegged are waiting for you to go there for 12 months, get bored, and start complaining just like you did here. I have never had an issue with repairs in my apartment. They are handled quickly and done right. The current leasing staff is friendly and accommodating. Like I said in the first line. I've been here five years and have been reading these posts for some months. Enough already... there are ALWAYS people who are unhappy, and they are also the ones who take the most time out of their days to spew hate. Monroe Place is a nice, smaller complex with a nice mix of tenants. It faces the same challenges that every place in Midtown faces. Many want Las Vegas when they're awake and Mayberry when they sleep. If you find that let me know, I'll move there too. Just use common sense and you'll be happy. I look forward to my coming time at Monroe Place and enjoy the extra money staying in my pocket every month. And, lastly, the rest of us may finally get a chance to enjoy the pool and visit with neighbors instead of being run off by the the waxed-set... I guess change really is good.

                    A horrible experience altogether

During my 1-1/2 years at Monroe Place Apartments I saw the worst of an apartment complex. I saw vandalism, violence, robberies, discrimination and harassment by residents and staff and price fixing. <br><br>About 4 months into my stay at Monroe Place I ended up with a neighbor pounding on my door screaming for me to call the police. I called the police and upon their arrival it was determined that a person who had done it was living on the premises and had a federal warrant out for his arrest. With that I decided to move from my first floor apartment to a 3rd/4th floor townhouse apartment so the crazy nut jobs that live there would have to make it up the stairs before they could pound down my door. <br><br>Shortly after the move a string of notes came out from the management about robberies and burglaries in the complex including cars broken into and apartment doors kicked in. The management at the time started having quarterly crime awareness meetings which for the first meeting received great attendance but toward the time I left instead of them being real crime awareness meetings it was actually sales gimmicks where they would bring in ADT and other alarm companies to sell us on new alarm systems and service. I had an alarm well before that and while I was never broken into it made me laugh when my alarm monitoring company showed me in 30 seconds how to bypass the alarm so the siren didn t go off. <br><br>Last summer while out at the pool there was a string of weekends where there were keggers going on at the pool. Even though management put out notices about not allowing glass bottles or pets in the pool area more then once they would just walk by with perspective residents and chat up directly with the person breaking rules. <br><br>About 3 months before my move a friend had told me that he was looking to move into the complex and that he was told there were no studios or one or two bedroom units available. Walking around the complex you could see the vacant units all over the place with the blinds pulled all the way up and all the lights turned on (so nobody broke into their vacant apartments). Weeks after I met new residents moving in and they were told that they viewed the same apartment they moved into 2 months beforehand but didn t make a decision until 2 weeks before they moved. This struck me as strange until I saw that the person that moved in was a strait couple and my friend was a g-a-y male who made good money but didn t grow up in a very cultured area. <br><br>Also, from the first month in my 2nd apartment I noticed there were severe issues with the utilities in my apartment. On average the power bill ran us over $300/month and the water bill was over $100/month. When I brought this up to the management I was told there wasn t anything wrong with my water meter or power meter but my 1 bedroom apartment never ran over $35/month for my water or $100/month for my electric. I still wonder about how they bill the water through their private billing company. The electric was almost understandable since I was on the top 2 floors of the building and the heat radiated right through the roof. The AC in the apartment never shut off and we could never get the temperature down to 70 degrees. When I brought this up to management and asked them if they would put in a window unit on the second floor to help with the problem I was told no even though a former office person had told me they had done it before for other residents. <br><br>Lastly, upon me giving notice to the complex that I was leaving at the end of my lease they promptly gave me a price sheet for if there was any damage to the apartment. I went through and thoroughly cleaned the apartment including having the carpets steam cleaned and spackling all the nail holes in the walls. Because of the management not wanting to follow through on their promises with my roommate I had to move out by February 28th at the end of my lease and my roommate s new apartment (which was in the same complex) wouldn t be ready till March 4th. Finally on March 6th they gave him the keys to his new apartment and they gave us 24 hours to move him out. <br><br>After we had finished moving him and doing the last of the cleanup on the apartment we gave back the keys and did a walk thru with the agent in the office. She told me she hadn t seen anyone leave an apartment that clean when they left. She had me fill out the inspection sheet with my new address for them to send me the deposit refund and I left. <br><br>Approximately 2 weeks after my move I called the apartment complex and asked about when I would be seeing my refund on my deposit and they told me it could take 15-30 days from my move out date. At 30 days I called the apartment complex again and asked them where my refund was and they informed me that it had been submitted to corporate and it was in their hands to cut me the check. After calling the corporate office I was told they hadn t seen any paperwork on it and that it was the apartment complexes responsibility to cut the refund check. After having to fight back and forth with the apartment complex and their corporate office they finally said they would cut me a check asked me for my mailing address. I gave them my new address on April 1st (32 days after my move out date) and started to wait for the check again. Finally on April 10th I received a call from my old roommate who told me that instead of mailing the check to me (the address I gave them when they called me) they mailed it to his new address minus the last months water bill which they still refuse to show me. The only explanation is a letter stating how much my bill was on an apartment complex letterhead instead of a bill from the billing company.<br><br> Overall I m disgusted by the way this complex does business. I believe in integrity and trust in business practices and Monroe Place Apartments as well as Perennial Properties does not hold up to any level of this. I definitely suggest thinking twice about moving into any property owned by Perennial Properties.

Not What It Used To Be

Monroe Place used to be a nice mix of all types--not so much anymore. In desperation to improve occupancy--the leasing standards seem to be lower. And don't blame the economy--The Heights at Armour has high occupancy despite costing at least $200 more for a 1 bedroom apartment.

Although it may be a business decision not to invest in new landscaping and shrubs, it seems counter-productive to allow residents to dig up existing landscaping. Apparently, the leasing office loaned a resident shears, which the resident then used to dig up rose bushes in front of her patio. This occurred on a Sunday, so I am not sure if the property manager is aware of this event. There is this one tree that drops leaves on my car in the fall, and the occasional bird perches and poops on my car. I think I'm going to go cut it down.

So is it just me or has anyone else noticed the beater that's been sitting in the deck for months now? I moved in early this year and that car has been sitting in the same spot for at least 8 months. No tag, flat tires (one a donut), notices on the window. It's rude to your neighbors to leave your p.o.s. parked in the same spot for months on end. It's not like there's tons of parking, especially in the deck!

This complex is centrally located in MIdtown and future residents should be aware this area is a lively mix of cultures and lifestyles. If you have a problem with that then Midtown isn't for you. The area is also seeing an influx of new construction and revitalization. It is the perfect location for us being just minutes from GA 400, I75/I85 and downtown. This is really more of an adult oriented community although kids are welcome there is no playground. Management responds quickly to our maintenance requests. They also make an effort to get to know the residents. No matter where you live there will always be issues or problems but the pluses outweigh any negatives for us.

So honestly I never go by the pool so I was unaware of Kitty's presence. Anyway, I recently got a puppy and sometimes I walk her around the complex just to let her get out and get some exercise. Well, we were walking over there behind the kid's pool and my puppy found a dying (not dead - dying) rat in the bushes. I didn't notice it until after my puppy went over sniffing it. Thank God she didn't try to pick it up with her mouth. Anyway, I felt bad for it. If any of you have recently found Kitty to be missing, then I think he/she/it may have died. Sorry =(

                                Sad But True...

I've read this web site in the past, and frankly thought it was a place for a lot of whiners to gather, however, I myself feel like getting my opinion out. Before starting, I have lived at MP for 4 years, and have seen major changes. I have spoken with Monroe Place Management who are nice, but seem to be painted into a corner. I realize that they are limited too, and must rent to those who are in the market, however, things have changed the last two years. Monroe used to be a decent place to live, where I was happy to have neighbors and friends over, not anymore. Say what you want, the construction crews have made a big difference. I am gay, and was always comfortable here, and was comfortable having gay and straight friends here. MP was a friendly place where folks spent time on their decks, and out walking around. The construction folks now sit on their porches every night drinking beer, and making lewd comments to people walking from cars and to the trash or mail. I'm a grown man, and comfortable with myself, and don't really care what straits think, but this used to be a place you didn't have to think about that. The grounds have gone downhill, partly because of the draught, partly from less care. There are always cars parked in the garage with flats, or no plates. These should be monitored, and are easily tracked (just date the car in the dust with your finger). One van that hadn't moved in months was recently sold to someone and as they worked on it in the parking lot it caught fire and roasted a new car sitting beside it. Now, no one knows when something like that will happen, but the fact is, if the van owner that lived here had been told to get it out before it sat for months, it probably would not have ended that way. The dumpster always smells (you can smell it coming in and out of the gate), there is always trash out side that never used to be, the main gates are badly in need of paint, both the black and the white portions. Folks that used to live at MP a few years ago considered it home, and kept it that way. Decks were nicely kept with plants and deck chairs, etc. Now we have indoor furniture on many decks (dining room chairs etc.) or the decks are used for storage, with furniture and other crap piled on them. Let me end this by saying, I hate change. Anywhere you go these days you will find some issue, however, the alarming downturn here his palpable. Perennial Properties has stopped spending money on up-keep here. Perennial is building other properties, and I think MP will eventually be sold off to lesser grade rental players or the condo market when it levels off. For the last year I was possitive, and chose to take a "wait-and-see" approach. Sadly, I feel there is no end to this here. The feel and reputation has gotten so bad around here they will never get the old crowd of "home" minded peaople back. When a prospective tennant comes to look at the place, and sees rusty gates, garbage, many giant diesel pickups with redneck stickers all over them, along with dead cars sagging in parking spaces they simply will go down the road. There will be no "new turnover" here. I have a few months left in my lease, and will move. I'm joining the exodus. I hate it, as i like the location and really like my apartment here, but my feeling of home now stops at the door. As soon as I'm outside now on my way to the car, MP is a changed place. Final conclusion: All the long-termers are leaving. No longer "gay" friendly, no longer well kept, no longer apartment "homes", more like an extended stay joint. Advice: Look close around, plenty of other choices for about the same money, and the others are willing to talk on rent where MP will not. They let this one get away.

                                  My experience was good

I lived at Monroe Place from late 2005 until last month. My unit was in building 4 on the third floor. Previous to living at Monroe Place, I had lived in 6 other rental properties during the past decade as I moved around for school and jobs. In comparison to other places, my experience with Monroe Place was quite good. I found my studio at MP to be quite comfortable and clean. For a studio, I had a ton of storage space. My water and energy bills were always manageable. My maintenance requests were always handled within 24 hours, once even on a Sunday. The only maintenance request I had in 2 and a half years was to fix the air conditioner. I always found the management staff to be attentive and available. I appreciated the social events that Claire Irie arranged for the residents including bowling nights and a an art reception for residents who were artists. I always had good experiences working with Claire. I felt like she genuinely cared for the residents and the well-being of the property. I never had problems with pests or rodents. My rent never increased more than $15 with each annual renewal. Compared to some nightmare experiences in my rental past, living at Monroe Place was quite pleasant. So, why did I leave? I moved to be closer to and be able to walk to work (save gas). I also wanted to live in a loft-style unit. I had a good 2.5 years at Monroe Place. Based on my own experience, I would definitely recommend anyone to go and take a look. Jonathan Fisher formerly of #4301

if you have nice food and think it would be relaxing to sit by the pool, DON'T!!There are a few new tenants that are at the pool all the time, getting really drunk, helping themselves to other peoples food without even being invited. these people are like VULTURES and need to get REAL, no civilized adult wants to be around that. not to mention they smoke like frieght trains and throw butts everywhere. this complex used to be so nice and as time has passed the people that have moved in here have gotten trashy and low class. i have friends that live here and don't want to move, but will be soon. too bad. RECYCLING: it seems that alot of the tenants that are from culturally advanced cities that move here care about the planet and do their part and recycle. as for the people from hicksville with a lack of world awareness, they just throw everything away. COME ON PEOPLE, IF WE WAIT MUCH LONGER THERE WON'T BE A PLANET FOR YOU TO LIVE ON OR GET DRUNK AND FALL DOWN ON FOR THAT MATTER. WAKE UP!!!!! DON'T BE SO SELFISH, SOME OF US WANT A PLACE TO LIVE THAT ISN'T PILED WITH TRASH!!

Let me know what you think. 1. What if no one had assigned parking and you had to hike to your car everyday because you didn't get home early enough to get a good spot!!!!! 2. If you don't like how things are run and since you have so many complaints why don't you just find another "BETTER" property to live at!!! That would solve your problems and the management wouldn't have to listen to you make false accusations!!! I think that does it for me. LATER :)

Monroe Place is a good choice!

If you re searching for a place to live, and you re thinking about Monroe Place, or any place, do your homework! Know the difference between a review and a complaint and learn to take things with a grain of salt. Doing so will help you make a better decision. One issue, challenge, complaint or even one positive experience you may hear/read about is just that one thing. It amazes me how many times I read a so called review , only to see that it turns out to be more of a complaint/rant than an honest review. Do these individuals know how to take up an issue with the people who have the power to do something about it? Or do they just like to complain? And a review from someone who never even lived there??? Credibility begins with the source of the review ! I lived at Monroe Place for 3 years, until very recently (in 2008) when I purchased a condo. I was VERY satisfied with my stay at Monroe Place! In fact, I would move back in if my situation were different! That is due to the fact that I like the complex and I ve had a wonderful relationship with Claire and the rest of the management staff! The place simply felt like home! Does Monroe Place have its share of challenges on occasion? Of course it does. Everyone knows that nothing in life is perfect... Water pipes break (in houses, condos and apartments), pools need maintenance, thieves can break in, and the list goes on. And every time something like that happens, it s inconvenient to say the least. Newer or older, I know of no dwelling place anywhere that doesn t have things that go wrong occasionally. Here s a breakdown on the categories that form a review for this website: Parking: I ve never had any issues with parking at Monroe Place. All the parking spaces except a few are un-assigned. That means you can park anywhere in the complex. There are occasions when the lots will get full, but that s not a regular occurrence and it happens with every apartment complex. You may have to occasionally park further away from your door, but in my experience that was the exception not the rule. Monroe get s high marks for me in this area. Some places have much more limited spaces available. My guest s have never had issues or been towed. Maintenance: During my 3 year stay, I only had 2 maintenance issues. One was with air conditioning and the other with my refrigerator. In both cases I called the management office and maintenance was very prompt in addressing both concerns. No complaints. Construction: The property is actually maintained very well. Over 3 years the place was pressure washed about 2 times and stairs and balconies were repainted once. The exterior is brick and vinyl. Interior, I had no issues with the quality of construction. The place was in great condition when I moved in and I could notice no visible deterioration at the time of my move out. Noise: To be in as central of a location as Monroe Place is, I actually expected more noise when I first moved in, but I was surprised that the general noise level in the place is not that bad at all. As with any complex, residents throw the occasional party and the management team also hosts events for residents. Noise levels can go up a bit at these times, but that seemed to be the exception rather than the rule. Over all, I felt the place was good in this regard. Grounds: The grounds at Monroe Place were one of the first things that stood out to me when I was looking to move in. The grounds are always well maintained. The crew that keeps it that way generally works in the early part of the day once everyone is off to work. So, the noise from mowing/trimming work is usually when most residents are out. I d give Monroe Place high marks for the grounds. On occasion, dog owners would get lax in picking up after their dogs, but whenever this seemed to be the case, management always reminded residents and things seemed to improve. Safety: During the 3 years I lived at Monroe Place there was some criminal activity on the property, but each time the management crew responded immediately and kept resident s informed. They also took initiative to have neighborhood meetings to discuss any safety concerns residents may have. During my stay, I had the unfortunate experience of being robbed in midtown, NOT on the Monroe Place Property, and when my roommate informed Claire, she had maintenance at our door very early in the am to change out the lock on our apartment (because they took my keys). I would never wish that kind of experience on anyone, but Claire and the management team expressed empathy and were very responsive regarding my experience. That just strengthened my feeling of gratitude and support from the management staff! No place in this city is crime free, but if you want to make an informed judgment call on this factor, then go to the source for your info. The Atlanta Police Department s website has a crime map that you can zoom in on to see what s going on and where in the metro area. Again, as for me personally, I never felt threatened in my home and I was glad/reassured to see that the management team always responded quickly on this subject! Office Staff: When I first moved in 3 years ago, the manager of the property was different. At that time I had read a few negative reviews of the staff, but I like to make my own judgment calls, so I checked the place out and talked with the staff. I was pleasantly surprised! Again, it makes me ponder the difference between a review and a complaint. During my 3 years I saw Claire promoted into the position of property manager, and I feel that it was a well deserved promotion! Claire and her crew have been nothing but helpful to me in the 3 years I lived at Monroe Place. I don t know how many times I ve called to ask them to drop a package off at my door because I wouldn t be there to sign for it when it was delivered, and they always did this for me even though they didn t have to. When it comes to the staff, again, I know that no one is perfect. We all make mistakes, but I m serious when I say, in 3 years I ve never had an issue or a reason to complain about Claire or the management staff at Monroe Place. Their efforts are part of what made Monroe Place feel like a home to me! And one thought regarding the residents Monroe Place has families and singles. When I first moved in, it was mostly singles. But as with anything this changes over time. There currently seems to be a good mix of the two. Bottom line, I know there can be honest/justified reasons for a complaint, but if you re curious about it, and you re thinking about moving into Monroe Place, ask the management staff about it! There s no rule book that says any of your questions are off limits. My point? If you have a question, take it to the source! Then weigh what you find, into the pros and cons that each place you re thinking about has, and then make an educated decision on the next place you want to call home. For me, that was Monroe Place! And I d live there again.

GREAT PLACE; BEST MANAGEMENT; I do not understand why some ppl complain.

I look at some of these negative reviews and I really don t understand some individuals. While I consider myself to be one of most difficult people that gets annoyed by smallest things, and require efficiency, I did not find Monroe Place a horrible place to live. Yes, they can use upgrades to their appliances and such. But still, it is a great location, and I personally believe the BEST management ever!!! I lived at Monroe Place for 3 years and just recently moved out end of April this year. I decided to try just something different, and boy did I make a mistake. Now I have a fancy gym, great appliances but the worst f**** management you can possibly have. They don t respond to my maintenance calls, they don t do anything right ..NOTHING. They will do nothing to help you out, unlike Monroe Place. Specially Claire. Claire is one of the nicest individuals you can possibly meet. I do not see how some people can complain because she responded to me and took care of everything I asked within a very reasonable time, usually 24hrs and everything was taken care of. I have always worked a weird schedule and could never make it to the leasing office to pick up my packages or anything else, but Claire would go out of the way as always and leave them in my apartment for me. And I can just continue on and on. So, HONESTLY, I don t know where the complaints are coming from, but to me some people have issues. Tell you what; you want fancy appliances and a reserved parking spot. Why don t you try moving into Arbor Gates and Buckhead. Then your real nightmares will start. Yes, again, great appliances, I have a reserved parking spot (only one), 3 story gym . Worst management ever, it s like ----- s advocates. They don t care about your air condition breaking in the middle of summer, NOTHING. 12 visitor parking spots total, which residents park in because they lease 1bdrm apts with one spot to a couple, so forget about your visitors parking anywhere. If they park on the side street they get a ticket, and anywhere along the curb inside the complex, they get towed. So tell your friends it will cost them up to $125 to come and visit. And the list goes on. I wish I had stayed at Monroe Place because management there, especially Claire, made it all worthwhile.
