The community has gone through many changes over the years in terms of the types of people who live in the area. When I moved in, the vast majority of the residents were young, single professionals without children. Over the years, the community has shifted to a more diverse mix of singles and young families and some larger families with multiple children. The only change that this has made is that the community has had to become very aware of the presence of children in the neighborhood since it is not an easy place to live with older children who want to run and play outside. There is very little grassy area for play and the only fenced in play area is the dog park. Other than that, I have not had any major problems here. Maintenance is responsive. The office does a pretty good job of keeping residents updated. Despite the location, crime hasn't been too much of a problem. It's about what you would expect living off a main street close to the highway and the Cheshire Bridge Strip. Things happen from time to time, but nothing different from what you'd expect.

Monroe Place is an awesome community and an unbeatable value. It's in a perfect location between Buckhead and Midtown with tons to shopping, restaurants, and bars close by. Has a great community feel, and everyone in the front office is super helpful and friendly. The community is quiet and clean, and very pet friendly. The maintenance staff is extremely prompt and thorough, and they'll always make sure any issue you have is completely resolved. Overall, I've really enjoyed my time living here.

So far so good. I like the location; it's close to where I work, which is awesome after having an hour+ commute each way for the last 15 years. I like the dog park although it needs lighting that works.

The maintenance team here is FANTASTIC- they are VERY helpful and very fast at fixing an issue when you have one. Yury especially he is wonderful. He does his job very well and always has a pleasant attitude.

This community has wonderful green space and is a hidden gem. It's convenient to everything in Atlanta but is also tucked away and feels like a garden oasis. The upgraded counter tops and appliances are icing on the cake. The dog park is another awesome feature.

The staff was very professional and responsive which made me feel comfortable that I would be renting in a complex where any issues would be resolved. The other residents have been extremely friendly and complimentary about their experience here.

I have had termites, a flood and EXTREMELY noisy neighbors. If it wasn't for the convenient access to the expressway, I would have left this place LONG ago. Most of the staff has been less than helpful in all of the situations above. Disappointed overall.

I was in a search for value, location and good quality place to live. I found that at monroe place. The location is prime, neighborhood is much quieter than I expected, and it's a great value for the size of apartment you get. Staff has been responsive and quick. The only feedback I really heave is for them to be more detail oriented. I am happy so far.

It's been ok, I have has some minor issues and concerns regarding several issues with the complex, however all of my issues get resolved within a timely manner. The turnover with my neighbors was a concern, however I haven't had any problems so far.

My experience overall...

My experience overall at Monroe Place Apartments has been great. Yes, there have been hiccups here and there; however, that's not uncommon. The community is in a nice area, and it literally minutes from the highway as well as surrounding shopping centers, gyms - etc. I would certainly recommend the complex to others.

Lived here for years....

Lived here for years. Overall nice small property close to highway for easy access. Any problems I've had which isn't a lot for maintenance have been addressed and fixed quickly. Parking is not very good spots will be taken quickly if your not home by a certain time. Bugs at night are awful! I feel like I have to run to my apartment to not have them jump on me. Couple of apartment and car break ins in the last 2 years. Mgt finally got security to drive around at night. Hardwoods are nice and durable. Very pet friendly which I love. Like I said overall good property.

I have lived here only...

I have lived here only less than a week now. I greatly like the remote gated access! I feel that this is a safe environment with friendly neighbors. The pool is always clean. The staff was friendly.

We've lived here since...

We've lived here since 2003 and have witnessed the ups and downs of management with a variety of issues (security being the biggest). Over the course of the past two years, Perennial Properties has done a great job with the overall security and amenities on this property. Dog park, BBQ pits (two at the pool), pool parties, meet and greets at the office, excellent gym (which I need to start using more often) very responsive maintenance and more. With the security patrol now every night, things have improved markedly. Definitely worth your time to check out.

I've really loved living at MPA. I'm in my third year here and it gets better and better! The grounds are always kept up nicely, the office staff changes have been great, and overall it's a great place to be! If we don't end up finding a house to move into, my boyfriend and I will definitely be staying here a fourth year.

I like and enjoy the property. Plans to renew my lease will depend on the amount of increase in rent. Staff and maintenance is helpful and very responsive to issues and/or concerns. Noise sometimes is a issue.

Signing my third lease with Monroe Place Apartments. My wife and I have loved living here so far. It is a very convenient location with tons of food and activities within a short drive. The walkways are always nice. Some locals are still leaving dog poop around, but the staff cleans it up within the day or next day. There are plenty of doggy bags everywhere, so those people are just asses. I take Marta to Midtown every day and there is a very convenient stop a block away at the front of the entrance. The only annoyance is the south bus stop doesn't have any covering, so in the rain or heat it is terrible. The staff is always prompt and pleasant. I don't have many conversations with them besides picking up packages and if we need something fixed. Recently out AC went out and they had it fixed the next day. Overall it is a great complex.
