I don't have any complaints other than one bad neighbor which was left after 6 months. Community and facilities are nice. Problems are addressed quickly. Rent has gone up over the years but so has Atlanta as a whole.

Great experience. I have no complaints at all. I enjoy running to piedmont park. The neighbors are very quiet and respectful. I'm just happy that I haven't had any issues with anything. The facility is very nice.

We moved from Japan to this community in 2016. I had heard a lot of bad reputations of apartment houses in the US, but this community is the opposite - nice neighbors, nice office staff and adequate maintenance. I am helped a lot by them every time.

I lived here for almost a year. here's the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly: GOOD: Beautiful grounds, nice location, hardwood flooring, convenient access to major highways, pretty good people in the community, parking's always available. Here's the BAD: -- Continuously tacking on new "amenities" or "fees", like a valet trash service that costs $50 extra per month, or randomly asserting that you don't have renter's insurance when you do, adding another $50 per month... My rent increased from $1565 to $1800 by the end of my lease in non-refundable, non-optional fees. -- Laundry facilities were non-operational literally 50% of the duration of my lease. There were 3 machines to service hundreds of people, one or two always down, the last always taken. -- Maintenance requests weren't fulfilled from the very day I started living there. The door to my apartment looked like it was battered with baseball bats; they said they'd replace it, and despite numerous follow-ups they never did. On average, my maintenance requests took ~5 days to fulfill (except the broken AC which only took 3 - great emergency -- You've got to follow-up personally with management at least 3 times if you want anything done or addressed. But hey! At least they're nice... Okay, now here's the UGLY: -- Someone got freaking SHOT in the complex while I lived there. Feel free to google that. Continuous crime plagues the area. Lock your doors. -- Management was wildly incompetent, and without any warning or notice to tenants, every person in the leasing office was swapped out for new management over the course of a month. When it's kept under wraps like that, it's never for good reason. Good luck future tenants. -- Had over $500 in numerous fees attached to my ledger when I was leaving. If I hadn't proactively checked for fees as I left their complex, I would have basically been scammed. -- They will sue you with no warnings if you miss a payment. They don't bother to email you, they don't bother to knock on your door. Highly reckless policy. I'd never recommend anyone rent here. Too many other good options in Atlanta. Hope you find this helpful!

I've been consistently ignored from day one. Except by Dahshan would quickly left after my move-in. My patio is filthy, the hvac unit outside my window sounds like a plane crashing and I can't get the Office to answer ONE of my emails.

Having managed residences for several years in the past, I know what a challenging job property management teams have. I also know it's quite oftentimes one that requires the team to do things in the background that residents are not aware of that make life at MP a community to call home. For all those obvious (and not-so-obvious) things, THANK YOU. I really enjoy my new home. The MP team has really shined in several areas that I'd like to mention. CUSTOMER SERVICE: We worked together as a team to get a few details ironed out when I moved into my new apartment. Not only was I always greeted with a smile and helpful attitude, but also all the details were managed quickly, accurately, professionally, and resolutely. I am an incredibly busy professional who works 70 hrs a week, and having a management team handle their work with such stellar work ethic and attention to details that MP has makes managing details and life easier. SECURITY: For a brief period, the security gate was not functioning properly. The security guards posted at the gate provided a real sense of security while gates were being repaired. The entry and exit protocols were efficient and seemingly effective. The guards were friendly and professional. I awake early, and seeing frequent security patrols let me know they consider our security paramount. ATTENTION TO DETAIL: When I see trash or litter, I pick it up, to make the place look good and help out. Often, when I see litter in the parking lot from my balcony, I make a mental note to pick it up. Also, most often, by the time I get to it, someone on the MP team has beat me to it. Many other details are handled so well. Plants are watered and looking healthy, nice; breezeways are clean, buildings repaired, trash handled, and probably so many other things I don't even notice. Dahshan, Boris, Salen (maintenance person, I believe that is his name, the grounds/maintenance man who always waves when I see him working early), Neeshia, and everyone else that makes MP home, THANK YOU!

My husband and I lived here for 9 months between selling and buying a home. I WANT to leave a great review for Monroe... I really do. They are affordable for being minutes away from Midtown and Piedmont Park, pet friendly, have a nice pool/grounds and events, and the staff was much nicer than some of the other complexes we looked at. However, there were a few things that happened while we lived there that makes this place a no-for-the-love-of-god don't live there for me and anyone who asks me about it: 1) Guest bathroom smelled like dead fish. It would happen a few times a week... all of a sudden this truly gnarly smell filled up the guest bathroom and would last for a few hours to half a day. We put in several maintenance requests for this while we lived there. They would always show up next day or a couple days later and be like what are you talking about it's totally fine?! They would never come check it out promptly while it was happening. 9 months of this. 2) Noisy neighbors and lackluster management. We had the noisiest neighbors I have EVER had living above us here. A group of 3 or 4 dudes. We reported it to management, who informed us that our neighbors were "incredulous" and "couldn't believe it" because they were "so quiet". So we recorded them and made a compilation for management :) They acted super surprised that they were actually doing this and agreed it was way over the top/inappropriate, and that they would be fined. No action was ever taken and nothing happened... other than management suggesting later that we sit down and talk to them because they were "really nice guys". 3) Water leak in our unit that we were not informed of. One day my husband came home from work to find our unit flooded. Apparently, the unit a couple floors above us had experienced a massive leak. It travelled through all of the units below us and all of those tenants were informed EXCEPT for us. It ruined some of our furniture and our unit smelled like crap the rest of the time we were there. It also caused the floors to buckle. To their credit, they did take about $600 of that month's rent statement for the trouble... 4) Weird neighbor complaints. We have a dog. He barks sometimes like most dogs in the complex. One of the neighbors surrounding us would consistently complain about our dog specifically. We had a feeling they might be just thinking it was ours any time a dog barked. So, we started taking our dog to day care ANY TIME we weren't home. Sure enough, we would still get calls from management telling us he was barking/whining. When we would tell them he wasn't even there, they would seem annoyed with us... They threatened to give us noise violations countless times for barking that was happening when our dog wasn't home or when we were home with him and could confirm he was not barking. Ironic considering they couldn't fine neighbors who had been recorded making obscene amounts of noise. We ended up spending hundreds of dollars on doggy day care while we were there just to make sure we weren't some neighbor's scapegoat for dog noise. Stressful and ridiculous. Don't live there. There are better options.

I have lived here for 17 yrs. The first 4/5 yrs were great! Afterwards, the staff in the office rotated in and out so fast you never knew anyone and it was very disjointed?..Things have greatly improved over the last few years. My only concern at this time is the number of kids using the parking lot as a playground.

I enjoy it. Staff is nice and helpful. I also like the location. Although I do not really communicate with the other residents, they all seem friendly and many have cute dogs which makes the neighborhood that much more enjoyable.

Overall I'm really happy with my apartment! The office & maintenance staff are great and responsive and my apartment is wonderful. No issues that haven't been taken care of. Only complaint would be the location. Sometimes it's difficult to get out of the neighborhood in rush hour and there's no places you can really walk to.

Very nice, like the landscape. I like my apartment because of the kitchen which feels rich because of the granite. The flooring is used and worn< I would like to have it replaced, I still did not ask for it though, so I don't know if this is a possibility. I like how the interior is painted.

I have not lived here very long but I can already say that I do not recommend this place due to the lack of the office's and maintenance staff's ability to get their act together. The list of things they've screwed up since I've moved in is remarkably long. This included maintenance LEAVING MY BACK DOOR OPEN while I was at work, bait and switching me about lease terms, and staff giving straight up incorrect information without bothering to confirm it's accuracy and with little regard to its consequences. But perhaps one of the biggest reasons I say to avoid this place is because the construction is SO POOR. I can hear every single step my upstairs neighbors make. I can hear them open and shut cabinet doors, put the toilet seat down, and literally track them above me as they move throughout their apartment. I've lived in several bottom floor units and have never had such awful noise come through just from someone simply LIVING above me. The plus is that the location is convenient although a little sketchy and the (poop filled) dog park is one of the biggest I'd seen or heard of. I wish I wasn't on such a time crunch when I moved in because I probably would have landed elsewhere.

I had a sudden change in living arrangements and the staff was incredible working with me to get in as soon as possible. For the neighbor, I'll argue that Monroe Place is the best value for your dollar. It's been a great experience living here.

They are good at first when we went to talk and see the apartment, once we signed the apartment they were RUDE!!! Every month they add new charge without any reason, when I went to talk they told me I was making a issue and they were just Rude to me!! They add new charges every month, and wont tell you what the charge is for!! They don't pick the calls or reply to the emails. They don't respond at all, very bad service. They claim to have better amenities but they don't. If something happens, it's ultimately your fault. Never lived in a community where mgt attempted to blame residents for its lack of maintenance! The nightclub right across the street is quite noisy and clogged up the approach street. I have given 1 star to the Staff because that is the least I can give. Honestly staff deserves 0 and negative starts!! To summarize, I am glad that I have relocated to another area.

I am so disappointed in my entire experience with Monroe Place. I want you to understand the living conditions they had me living in after numerous notifications. I didn't have ac for 8 months and was living with black mold the entire year and basically had no locks on my doors because they acted like they had no clue this was happening even after multiple discussions. I told the office three times about the black mold to only have someone email me and ask me to confirm it's there and still no action was taken. It all happened when the upstairs neighbors unit started leaking into the apartment. I let the office know and. Itching was done. Additionally, part of the agreement to move into the apartment was that they would be replacing the floors. It was exciting and they let us choose the color and everything. The first months rent came due and it turns out they charged me for it!!! I was never told I would charged for those floors and it was manipulative and a complete misrepresentation of what was verbally told to me. GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING. I travel 90% of the time for my job and at the end of my lease apparently they put a note on my door asking me if I planned on extending my lease. I was out of town and they said they emailed me. I have yet to find that email as most of their stuff goes into a spam folder. So four months prior to my lease ending I verbally told them I would not be renewing my lease. Then I put it in writing 30 days before my lease was to end and they said that I was suppose to get it to them earlier but I was told by the front office I had already given it to them in August. Regardless, they said it was verbal and charged me another months rent, $98 for it being month to month and bullied me into staying in a black mold infested apartment. They are cold hearted and care only about a dollar.

It's good. The place is nice. I like that it is safe inside of a gate. I like that there are no interior hallways. I like how high the ceilings are. I like that parking is not a problem. My balcony has a nice view.

Great apartment community in middle of everything you could want from midtown to buckhead. Close to Piedmont Park. Great restaurant choices with 2 malls within 5 miles. Nice clean apartment grounds with good amenities, reasonably affordable and rooms are much larger than other complexes in the area. Join the neighborhood association, Piedmont Heights Civic Association!

My wife and I love this community. We can ride our bikes to Piedmont Park, Sweetwater Brewery, and any of the local bars/restaurants. The office staff is always quick to handle any service calls that are needed & do a great job w/ summer parties, holiday parties, & have balcony-decorating contests around the holidays. Loving the new appearance of the community grounds; management goes above & beyond to gather info from residents about what upgrades we would like to see added to the community.

Staff was extremely helpful when moving in - not so much afterwards. Several emails to the property manager were unanswered, neighbors were making inaccurate complaints and management did nothing to resolve. Can hear EVERYTHING in adjoining apartments.
