Everyone that I come in contact at the apartment have been very nice. People seem to get along with others. If there is a question or concern office staff have always made sure things were taken care of. Security have always been nice and easy to approach if needed. I would refer any of my friends to live here.

I live in a true neighborhood. My neighbors are friendly. The maintenance men are helpful and friendly. I can not say enough about the office. They are the most amazing part of living here. It truly feels like home.

Great location and staff with easy access to the interstate and supermarkets. Night life is close to the apartment complex and bowling. Downtown is only minutes away and concert venues are only minutes away also. Staff is friendly and very responsive.

Location is awesome! Very convenient to get anywhere. The floor padding appears to be thin, I think having the hardwood makes this an issue. They try to make a community with offering social events. The pool is nice and others are friendly. Parking has never been an issue, there is plenty.

I lived here for 2 years and would highly recommend it to anyone. The complex is safe, clean, convenient to everything, and everyone I met was very friendly. I don't have a dog, but it looked like they have a pretty great dog park. When I moved out I was pleasantly surprised at how they did not over charge me for things, since that happened at a lot of my previous apartment complexes. If I did not buy a house, I would have stayed.

This is a good place to live. Feels safe. Outside is usually clean. There are issues with the gate. There have been issues with Management losing my rent checks and not completing work orders. Since 2015 - New management - I haven't had many issues.

Overall, this community is good. The leasing staff is friendly, maintenance comes quickly, and I feel pretty safe living by myself here. I don't have any loud neighbors (well except the ones above me that stomp around the apt). I'd stay here, but my specific apartment has too many issues. Maintenance will come and fix, but I just don't like having to constantly contact them for things. I just want to come and go, pay my rent, and live. Maybe I'd stay if I was offered a rent decrease...a significant one. The would you recommend to a friend question needs a "yes, but with caution" option. I'd recommend because if you get the right unit with no issues, this would be a decent place to stay.

Living here at Monroe Place Apartments with my roommate has been our best residential experience yet to-date. While the apartment may not seem ultra-glamorous compared to some of the newer complexes in the area, the community is just unbeatable. Everyone is so friendly and willing to chat or just say hello, rather than ignoring you. The staff in particular is so sweet and personal in their greetings to me and my dog. They offer fun events every month and have great ideas on fundraisers for the community, such as offering dog-walking services and hosting bowling nights. The maintenance staff is also incredibly quick and friendly. When my home security system went off in the early morning hours, before the office was opened, a maintenance man came by immediately and walked me through all the steps to correct the issue. I feel like I know all my neighbors well enough to say hello, or return/ask for a quick favor if needed, which is something I definitely could never have said about any of the other complexes I've lived at. I really love living here and just couldn't say enough about the great community!

The community is very well kept and up to date. The location is honestly the best part about this complex. It is in a perfect spot to hop on any interstate or highway in order to get around the city quickly but far enough off the interstate to avoid the noise from traffic.

I used to really enjoy the community because of the constant communication, but it has broken down and has come to be just when something has gone wrong in the community (water shut off, apartment break in, et cetera). The previous staff that included Deborah and Lee was great, and I think Deborah might have left because of the crazy property manager (Kathleen) that had taken over once Lee had left. I wish that we could interact with Adam more (the property manager), because he was the person we initially signed our lease with (2 3/4 years ago) and he was so nice to us and checked in with us when we saw him out in the community. What attracted us most to the community initially was that he KNEW the people in the community, and not just said hi to people to act like he knew them. I feel that the staff has changed so much and there is no longer continuity in service. The leasing consultant, Jay or Jarvalia, is very impersonal and does not attempt to be customer service-oriented... She comes off as rude a lot of the time. I feel like she is only happy when we are not ?bothering? her with ?resident issues?. I have spoken with other residents/neighbors and they agree that her attitude is really off-putting. It is not for lack of trying either: my partner and I have both been nice and she is just curt. Tim is nice enough, but hardly do we see him emerge from his office. When speaking with Jay and Tim on different occasions, they have both forgotten/not followed up on maintenance calls. It is not till I call the second (and once third) time that the issue in the apartment gets resolves. I know it isn't maintenance, because as soon as they get the request, they are there within a few hours (generally speaking).

Overall I have had a positive experience living at Monroe Place. Like with any apartment community, there are ups and downs/pros and cons. The staff is usually receptive to community needs and the cost of rent compared to amenities is mostly fair. Additionally, the location of this complex is incredibly convenient. You have quick access to 85, 400, and 75. And you're not far from 285 and I-20.

Not good. If something happens, it's ultimately your fault. Never lived in a community where mgt attempted to blame residents for its lack of maintenance! Rent is consistently going up with no updates. Living in the 90's but paying for 2014

The property is very well located, close to the city center and major points of interest, including Piedmont Park. The neighborhood elementary school is very good. There are few options for recreation for kids inside the apartment community.

The pros: Very convenient location - close to 85, about a mile from the grocery stores at Ansley Mall, and not even 2 miles from Piedmont Park. The apartments are fairly nice inside, and parking is never really an issue. They are fairly quiet - sometimes the upstairs neighbors' music bleeds through rather loudly, but I don't think any worse than in any apartment... The cons: Like several others, I find the new management to be lacking. I think they've changed how you pay online three times in the past year. You will return home one day to find a note on the door saying that they're coming into the apartment the next day...or sometimes that they'll be coming in sometime in the next 3 or 4 days - which is rather annoying to have to put the dog away, especially since they often require that all of the rooms remain open. Of course, I guess I should be happy for any notice since I checked the lease and "Management may enter the apartment without notice during reasonable hours." The nightclub right across the street looks like it is opening back up, and reviews from when it was open before said that it was quite noisy and clogged up the approach street. Turning left onto Monroe (to get to 85S or 75) can be tricky at certain times. Also, there have been a number of break-ins lately, though management is very vague about exactly how much. Several times I have seen (and complained about, to no avail) the maintenance staff taking recycling and throwing it into the trash compactor, presumably b/c the recycling bins overflow on the weekends. The worst part though - I've had to send them proof of renter's insurance probably 3 times since the new management, and the last time when I didn't respond quickly enough, they threatened to not accept rent payments...which I am pretty sure would actually be illegal in GA. And of course, once we had it faxed to them yet again, they came back to say "oops, we had it all along, sorry." To summarize, it started out very nice, and I would have recommended the place up to maybe 6 months ago, but I am now glad that I am having to relocate to another area.

Good location, not noisy, shopping of any kind very close by, take no time at ask to get to the interstate, neighbors are nice and helpful, secluded on its own little road, trees everywhere. I like it and would recommend Monroe Place for future renters.

My stay at Monroe was nice in the beginning, but ever since Ms.Lee and Ms.Derborah left things haven't been the same. I deserve to know at least one of the people that are suppose to help me in my every day life at Monroe Place, which by the way they don't do. The last leasing agent and manager were happy and sweet and nice to be around, but now the office is boring and very unfriendly. I plan to leave when my lease is up and I'm running away with my tail between my legs from the horrid new staff. Otherwise its been a nice place I love the inside of my apartment just not the outside because being greeted by pool roaches and stray cats on the way to work is just not nice in any way shape or form.
