As is the case with any apartment complex, there are pros and cons of this location. From a "Pros" standpoint, it is in proximity to much of Atlanta without experiencing the full brunt of traffic. Many trendy shops in vicinity and from an external view, the property appears well maintained. With that being the case, response times in addressing issues are poor at best, and rarely is the issue resolved during the initial visit. The staff is for the most part nice, but the lack of urgency is problematic. The gates don't work; hence the poor safety rating. They are rarely closed (and oftentimes only one is closed while the other is open- defeats the purpose). When the initial renovations were made, this should have been a major focal point to be addressed. Correspondence is poor and rushed from the office in terms of notifications, and oftentimes the occupants are left inconvenienced due to the lack of prior indication (I.e. Water off, construction work, asphalt being placed down). At the end of the day, for what we pay compared to other complexes in the area the features are adequate, and it is for the most part a quiet neighborhood. However, it also is an excellent reminder that apartments are best served as "transitional" housing in anticipation of securing a house.

I lived at 1900 Vinings June 2014 - July 2015 and it was the WORST apartment experience of my life. If you are even considering this apartment complex, rethink twice and run before signing your lease!!! Let me share my experience with you. On move in date, I did not receive a copy of my lease from Sonny and/or my mailbox information. On day one, my apartment bedroom window shattered and my apartment was infested with spiders and silverfish. This is day ONE!!! No lease, no mailbox, a broken bedroom window, and bug infestation. I was terrified. The window was fixed the next day but my blinds were on the floor. I had to call maintenance again, to put the blinds up so I could feel safe in my bedroom. Days later after washing my clothes, I find out my dryer doesn't work and I have wet clothes that need be in a dryer. Not only that, I come home the following day to a flooded door entrance. I immediately contact management and corporate to tell them about the flooding, I email them pictures, and I express my frustration after living here a week. ONE WEEK!!!! Management and corporate then tells me they will make sure I have a copy of my lease and the other items were cosmetic and nothing could be done. Then winter rolls around and I have to finally cut on my heat. Well..guess what, my heat doesn't work. I called the emergency maintenance hotline since this was classified as an emergency. From 1am to 5am, no one ever showed up. I was forced to leave my apartment early and head to work just so I can be in a heated building in 32 degree weather. The entire duration of my lease, I was placed on pest control EVERY WEEK!!! The pest control would laugh and joke with me saying, see you next week. THE BUGS NEVER WENT AWAY. Imagine yourself in your bedroom, watching television and enjoying a glass of water. As you get ready to drink your water, you see a silverfish floating around in it!! I was HORRIFIED. I TOOK PICTURES AND CALLED THE MAIN OFFICE IMMEDIATELY. I dreaded living in my apartment every time it rained. Every time it rained, my bedroom would become flooded with large earthworms. I even took pictures of them and of course I contacted the main office and all they could say was, we will put you on the list for pest control. The pests were so bad in my apartment, I began sleeping with the lights on out of fear something would crawl in bed with me. The Pest control finally told me that the bug infestation would never go away because the apartments were extremely old. Every month, I found myself counting down until my lease was up. Finally June approaches. Well...guess what, my closet becomes flooded with water. I contact the main office and told them. I was told someone would come over right away. TWO hours later, no one comes. I have to call back only to find out it was a water leak from another apartment adjacent to my apartment. I am told the issue would take two full days to resolve. After that issue resolves, two days later while I am sleeping, I hear water leaking from my air conditioning unit. I am terrified and I immediately notify the maintenance hotline and of course I don't receive a response until the next morning. The maintenance guy asks me, has your floor started flooding, I told him no. He said, "you caught it just in time before it did." He uses some blue tape to "repair it". If you like bugs, high water bills, a non responsive staff, with old appliances, Tamarron is the place for you. Did I mention the problem they had with break ins. tHEN AGAIN, THE GATE ONLY WORKED ONE MONTH THE ENTIRE TIME I LIVED HERE. The sad thing is, I was never credited for any of my problems, they always expected their rent the first of every month. I paid my rent on time every month and never gave them any problems. AGAIN, PLEASE DO NOT MOVE HERE...YOU WILL REGRET. I HAD NO PEACE STAYING HERE.

I have been living here at Tamarron, now 1900 Vinings, for quite a number of years. Why? Because I really like it. I love the location to the highway, the nearest grocery store, downtown, and other areas that are really easy to get to from this location. I love the peacefulness, even though we are so close to the highway. I love the neighbors in my building, and the sense of security. The staff is wonderful, and extremely friendly. I have not had any problems with them at all. I have seen a lot of comments about experiences that many have had, but that is just their experience, not everyone else. As we all know, living in an apartment comes with its ups and downs, but I must say that the staff works diligently to correct or fix everything that they can in their power, and will get a contractor out as quickly as possible to fix the rest. I have had to call maintenance emergency at 2:15 am in the morning, and someone was at my door by 2:30 am to assist me. I do not expect everything to be 100%. If this was our own personal home, it would not be 100%, so why expect it? The complex has been going through renovations for the past few months now, and I must say that it really is for the better. Katie, Faye, Alyse, Janelle, and even maintenance, Kenneth, and especially you Dwight! You guys rock!!!!! And though you may not hear it much.... I myself appreciate you for all that you do to keep 1900 Vinings together!

If you have lived in apartments before then you know how it works. It is not always going to be perfect and there are going to be issues. Some things are in the properties control and some are not. I am not a fan of reviews whether positive or negative because it is made of opinion, perspective, and multiple other factors that only relate to me but I digress. 1900 Vinings is in a great location and is currently what it seems to be going through a transition from what it formally was Tamarron Apartments. I have seen the changes that the staff and maintenance are trying to make and it all for the better of the community. There are still some bumps with maintenance and the fact that some of the items in the unit are 30 years old. I would recommend this property to friends.

I have lived here a little over 2 months and most of my issues have been fixed, but not all. There is a serious bug problem that for some reason cannot be treated or handled. I still find cockroaches and all other sorts of bugs AT LEAST twice a week. In fact, in the last 48 hours I have found 3 cockroaches already! It doesn't matter how many times I bring it up with the leasing office or put in a maintenance request, the bugs just find their way in. I'm not sure if they're coming from the vents or all of the holes I see in the molding and edges of the apartment (which I have addressed as well and still not much has been done to seal up the cracks and edges of the entire place). About a couple of weeks ago my toilet flooded, so I called the emergency maintenance line that's provided and left a message describing what had happened and for a follow up response as soon as possible. Of course, I have not received ANY sort of response. I'm extremely unimpressed and feel completely unsafe knowing that their emergency maintenance line CLEARLY does nothing. I can't imagine having to deal with a more severe issue... Also our gate has been down for about 90% of the time I've been here, which hasn't been long. If part of our rent goes towards gate fees, I find that completely unfair that us residents are paying for a feature that rarely works.

i would not even give them one star!!!! This apartment complex is the WORST ever!!! I hope who ever reads this dose not do what I did and read the reviews and still give it a chance. I thought it was in a great area and it was near my job. They show you a nice show room apt so you can choose to live there. When I got my keys and sign my lease this is the worst thing I could EVER do in my life. The apt did not look anything like what the staff shows you. There was old nasty yellow and green stains on the walls they gave me a small kitchen with an EASY BAKE OVEN. The stove was SO SO small it looks like it was built in the 70's. the staff sucks. New management yeah right don't fall for it you can get your moneys worth anywhere BUT here. Also young ppl out side smoking and hanging out a lot when the office is not open. I pray no one lives here don't sign a lease here gross just gross.

The only reason I can think of someone giving this place over one stars is: They are friends with management and got a really cheap monthly rate, or they are management themselves writing the reviews to help their ratings. I can honestly say this is by far my WORST apartment experience and I will definitely do more research before signing a lease. I ended up terminating my lease early because I couldn't take it anymore. Management here is seriously unprofessional and will find someway to place blame on someone else for their apartment issues. Management if you read this, because I am sick of speaking with you on the phone or in person, you need to work on your customer service. As far as the apartment goes, to this day my apartment is not cable ready (even though I was told I could get any provider). To this day, the manager argues with me on this issue and I don't understand why cause I am the one that lived there and dealt with the issue first hand. Long story short, I went without TV for almost a year because Management lied about their units being cable ready and wouldn't fix their problem. (Multiple Cable providers would back this statement.) Second issue is their appliance are very old and will break whenever you need them. EX: my heater was broken when I moved in. The Maintenance staff here exhausted every cheap, easy fix until they realized it was just a very old appliance that had to be replaced and ordered a new one. Then my AC broke and the process started all over again. Only this time, the AC is still giving me issues and the old system is still in the apartment. Third, packages that were sent to me were left in the leasing office on multiple occasions and I was never notified by the leasing office that they were there. I missed multiple doctors appointments because info I needed that was sent I assumed were lost in the mail. When I went to the leasing office, I discovered they were there, however, the office didn't find it necessary to notify me about my packages. They also acted like they did nothing wrong. The grounds look like a construction zone the whole time I've been here. Ive maybe used my gate key once, every other time the "security" gate has been open freely to the public even before all the renovations to the leasing office started taking place. There is hardly any lighting around the area and at night it's very creepy Overall, if management handled my complaints more professionally throughout my lease, I wouldn't have written this review, however, ever since I ended my lease early, they have been nothing but rude and I feel obligated to warn anyone considering renting from this place. Word of advise to management which I'm sure they won't listen to since they haven't listened to me this entire year: Use our rent money to fix the issues we bring to you rather than renovating your leasing office and amenities. Start with the reason we are staying at your complex, like the actual units.

I'm so very pleased so far since moving in. This is my first apartment and in my opinion it's a great place to start but not only that but apparently I heard from some residents that they've been here for years which translates into them being highly satisfied. Right now they are working on the new leasing office and I am anxiously awaiting that and the business center, that will be a great benefit. The leasing agent, Faye, has been more than extremely helpful and professional. I'm surprised that the staff is friendly, that doesn't happen often. I'm looking to upgrade to the newest floor plan when my lease is up. I plan on staying. My neighbors are perfect, my unit it nice so overall I don't need to complain.

I900 Vinings was the worst apartment experience I have ever had. From day one of moving in I had problems such as; gas leak, broken dryer, broken and a broken window. Yes, this was all happened on my move in date. Throughout the duration of my lease, there were apartment break ins, which was really scary. It didn't help that the security gate NEVER WORKED.I can honestly say, I was never at peace staying here and that's the one thing we all expect from the place we pay to call home. I shared my apartment with all types of insects: spiders, silverfish, earthworms, water bugs, centipedes, rolly pollies, and many more. I would find them in my clean dishes and a result I trashed them. I am a clean and neat freak. Consequently, I slept with my lights on hoping to scare the insects away. The pest control employee knew me by name but his frequent visits did nothing to stop the infestation. He even told me the infestation was due to the apartments being so old. While living here, I experienced two gas leaks that caused my apartment to flood. Did I mention the Maintenance and Office Staff treated my reports with no urgency. Then again, you will always find yourself getting frustrated after calling the front office. They do not care about you or the condition of your apartment. The utilities here are ridiculous!!!! Expect high gas and water bills!! Honestly, the only positive comment I can make is the location of the apartments. But there are plenty of apartments within the vicinity that are worth trying. Yes the apartments are very inexpensive; but trust me when I say it is worth spending the extra 100- 200 dollars on something better. You cannot put a price tag on your peace of mind.

Stayed in a 1 bedroom & moved to a 2 bedroom after lease was up. Apartments are never ready on time and something is always messed up. In my new apartment the lights blowed after I had only turned them on once. The toilet takes 40 minutes to fill up after each flush and my shower water pressure is non existent. In my old apartment there was a hole in my patio door frame that lead to my room for the whole year. They always claimed someone was coming to fix it and they never did. Stayed because of location and ease of access to work. Faye is very nice in the office and the maintenance men mean well but they are very slow to respond and usually don't fix the issue unless you are physically there to make sure they do so. They keep the property looking very nice. I've never stayed in the back, only the front. It is annoying hearing the grass being cut at the break of dawn on my off day though. The gate is always open but I haven't experienced any issues with that. It's not a bad neighborhood. It's old though so the AC could be broken or something leaking, but they do try. Also it's cheap so really you get what you pay for.

I have been living at these apartments for 7 months. My experience has been a pleasant one! I had been having issues with my AC and the maintenance team was very prompt and swift about fixing the unit. Thank you Ken and Dwight for being so kind and courteous! The apartments are always quiet during the day and at night. The pool has just been renovated and the gym is renovated and nice as well. I would recommend these apartments to singles couples or families. It' safe and convenient. Kroger is right across the street! Which is great if you don't drive. The office staff is always helpful. I appreciate these apartments! =) Bldg 1100

The only good things about this apartment is the price, and ease of access to I-285. Everything about 1900 Vinings has been a disappointment since the day I moved in. My apartment was not ready by the time I had my walk through. Cabinets were warped from water damage, the plumbing on the toilets were missing pieces so the water constantly ran, flooring was peeling up in the corners, the screen door to the porch was ripped, all the sliding closet doors in the unit would not open or close properly, etc... there was a list of 15-20 things that still needed to be fixed after my initial walk through, not to mention the unit was pretty filthy. This was a red flag, but what are you supposed to do when you are scheduled to move in within 2 days? After the first 4 weeks of living in my unit, and countless follow ups with the office, only 2 or 3 of the 15 issues in the apartment had been fixed, and I gave up. Just know when you visit the community, the apartment they show you is in much better condition than you will receive. If there are any issues with your unit, it will take several weeks to fix, if they fix anything at all before you get tired of dealing with them and give up. I've spoken with other residents about their experience with this apartment complex, only to find that I'm not the only one who has had the same experience as I've had. It's too bad, because this place would have potential if they could get their customer service & maintenance up to par.

My biggest complaint is communication. I have tried on several occasions, before and after signing lease to get in touch with someone but no one ever answers the telephone or reply to my voice messages. It is hard for me to get to leasing office because of open times but that is the only way I can ever talk to an apartment representative. It has the made the process more cumbersome than it had to be. Also, an outside light is not working next to the parking lot of my building. I would greatly appreciate that light be fixed as soon as possible. Everything else has been fine. Location is perfect for my lifestyle. Rent is very reasonable, and I enjoy the amenities of the apartment. If someone from the office could answer my phone call, and the lamp beside my building gets fixed, I would be treamondsly happy to recommend 1900 Vinings.

Done arguing, worrying, fighting with the idiotic leasing people at 1900 Vinings! My advice would be to save yourself the headache and stay far away! They look very nice on the outside but not so much on the inside. And please don't let their model unit fool you, your unit will be nothing like that. Staff is very uninterested in your issues regarding the apartment and maintenance seems to be way less than capable of fixing things.

Pros: The apartment is in a great location and the price of rent is fair for its location. Cons: The gate is open 95% of the time. It is futile to pay for something that doesn't serve its purpose. There has been multiple times that I've seen groups of people hanging out/ smoking in the parking lot. I moved in the apartment complex in the beginning of fall, and my neighbor told me that a few months prior to me moving in, that there was burglars who busted the doors robbed the apartments in the next building over. Then in November, there was another burglary and the apartment complex responded by not closing the gate or increasing security measures, but handing out a notice on everyones door reminding the residents that safety is the responsibility of the residents and the police. But yet when the police arrive to respond to call, the apartment complex does not inform the residents of how to improve their security. The club house was remodeled and there are major improvements. BUT there are old condom wrappers and old cigarillos contents in the racquet ball room. The workout room is nice but there are no cleaning materials to sanitize the equipment after each use. I could only imagine what kind of microbes are colonizing on the equipment. The clubhouse does not have explicit open hours but I do not go to the mailbox, club house, or pool after the sun goes down because the lack of outdoor lighting, the gate always being open and presence of so many bushes. It is a combination for an unfortunate event. As a summary, I am not renewing my lease because I do not feel safe, especially as a female, living in this apartment complex.

New management is making improvements - but my experience was not a pleasant one. No insulation in the walls or ceilings - you can hear your neighbors having dinner conversation. When my unit was flooded due to a sprinkler failure - they removed a large section of padding under the carpet and never replaced it or re-stretched and secured it. The last 2 months I lived there the carpet was not attached at the threshold of the kitchen. Aside from the flood - termites were an ongoing problem - they had practically eaten the windowsill in the bedroom and required holes drilled in the wall on multiple occasions to treat the infestation. The plumbing also required multiple services maintain drainage. The 'security' gates were closed less than 10% of the time the entire year I lived there. During renovations, the gym was closed for roughly half the year and has yet to reopen.

Don't waste your time or money. I was inches away from breaking my lease because the maintenance service and office has no sense of urgency. My gas has leaked and they didnt come for hours. I had to call several time to threaten them because no one ever comes. My AC stopped working and I literally had to go to to office because no one was answering the phones or calling me back. Lastly, 3 months into my lease I had my pipes backed up in the kitchen. The water was filled the sink and flooded my kitchen. They didn't come for days until the carpet started smelling.

You get what you pay for...it's as simple as that. I read all the reviews yet still decided to give this place the benefit of the doubt...bad idea. If you are good at minding your own business and don't need much it's not that bad. Just be prepared to see a lot of bugs, and apartment that is falling apart, not a helpful staff AND if there is ever a problem or something needs fixed be prepared for it to take weeks and you will have to stay on top of them to get it taken care of. It is kind of ridiculous.

STAY AWAY!!! This is the worst experience I have ever had living in an apartment. The Vinings is supposed to be a beautiful area, living here makes me feel like I live in the ------. The staff is rude and ------. The maintenance staff is a joke. You can put in a request and they may fix it WHEN THEY FEEL LIKE IT. There are bugs, bugs, and more bugs. I have asked to have my apartment sprayed for bugs at least three times. My air conditioner went out right before winter and it was never fixed. I have cracks and gaps in the flooring and walls. The biggest mistake I have ever made. Its best to go else where and pay more. These apartments shouldnt be over $500 for a two bedroom. RUN, DON'T DO IT!! Go right around the corner and pay more. You will be happy you did.

Basically you get what you pay for. I moved in a month ago and have had many problems. I have tried to take it all with a grain of salt but it has gotten old quick. First there was a huge fly problem, no one came to help so had to take care of it myself. Then a few days later when closing the sliding glass door the handle fell off and it wasn't considered an emergency so no one came to fix it for about 3 days. If you want to get ahold of the people in the office you need to go in because they do not answer the phone or return messages. The place doesn't stay heated very well however on the other end the dishwasher gets so hot it tends to melt things and if you set anything on the stove it will melt also. Lastly after trying to run the garbage disposal the pipe under the sink broke. Just be careful when considering this place. A couple things wrong or need fixing, I get that but the issues just keep happening. Maybe it will get better.

Smyrna/Vinings is a very nice and somewhat expensive area, so this is the best price for apartments in the area. But one of the reasons why it is so inexpensive is b/c the is a very old property. They have renovated the outside which looks great, but the inside needs renovation very bad also. Cabinets, dishwasher, refrigerator, and the bathrooms all need updating. But the downside to this is if they do these renovations, that will most likely drive the price up to what all the other complexes are charging. It is pretty safe; I rarely hear about break-ins or cars broken into. The staff is always nice and friendly, but maintenance is extremely slow. If you put in a repair request, unless it is something dire, it will probably be handle sometime next month. Other than that, I've definitely had a pleasant stay. I've been living there for 2 years.

I moved into this apartment community in October 2013, what got my attention first was the immaculate landscaping. Upon moving in I did a walk thru and had all issues addressed in a timely fashion. The maintenance guys are great...Kenneth and his crew. I love the staff, there hilarious and quite helpful, especially when I needed them most....Go Ms.Tamalia and Faye!!! The only thing I can say that I've had issues with are noise around me...but "welcome to apartment living"...you gotta live with some level of noise.

I moved into Tamarron in Sept and moved out within a month. It was a bad experience after moving 500 miles away. From the beginning the leasing agent who showed me the model apartment mislead me about my apartment I would be leasing stating it was being cleaned. However, it was not until I spoke with the Business Manager to find the truth, that my apartment had pest issues. The day I moved in there was a hole in the wall, oven and garbage disposal not working, and the washer and dryers were beyond old, then came the pest. The night I moved in with my family, we seen a roach that my father noticed. Then there were more and more. I informed them of this and just was told, it will be treated. I believe this apartment should not have been rented in the condition it was. It got to a point where I would not use my kitchen because they were in the cabinets and bathroom cabinets. It became disgusting. I was patient but was graciously able to move out which I did appreciate. I definitely had to so I could have a peace at mind. The fitness center was nothing like the pictures. The gate worked at times. Even on my move out date, the maintenance issues I requested were never fixed and found a huge roach in the cabinet with my dishes. In the end, it was a learning experience and I take some responsibility but I must say, Tamarron Apartments would not be recommended to me!

I moved in on Nov 1st and it has not been smooth sailing. I must say that I have no one to blame because I read the reviews on this complex before moving in and still decided to give them a chance because everyone's experience is different. Boy what a mistake. One of their selling points is informing you that a washer/dryer comes with the apt. What they do not tell you is that these things are at least 25 years old. But to be fair, they work. I have been trying to get them to change my dryer since moving in. I finally got the maintenance guy to come out only to tell me it's because my vents are painted shut and he will come back next day to handle it. To this day I haven't seen him. The woman in the office are just as unresponsive. The place all the blame on the maintenance workers and when you push back tell you to call or email the property manager. And we won't even talk about the hole in the master bedroom where a ceiling fan should be. Or the entry gate that is not timed properly and aims to slam into your car. Or letters from management informing of break ins. Or the stove that a very smart person decided they should paint to hide the imperfections and now am left with cooking on a stove with peeling paint. Or a fridge with broken parts. Or a shower that has tiles falling out. And believe me I can go on and on. The only good thing about this complex is the location. If you're looking for an apartment run from this place. There are plenty other apartment homes in the area. I wish now that I listened to the other reviewers prior to moving in here.
