Glad I moved
I lived here from 2005-2010. For the price you pay, you should be getting an apartment with new appliances, more cabinet space in the kitchen, and a gate that always works. Bugs were always an issue for me.I moved into a way bigger apartment and pay way less than I did in Tamarron. The electric bill was extremely high for the size of the apartment. My mother lives in a two story 4 bedroom 3 bath house and my power bill was three times the amount of hers. Goldfinger (the grounds keeper) was kind of creepy and lazy. He complained about going around having to pick up things off the ground. Im sorry, but I thought that was a part of the job description. I guess all he wanted to do was to drive around on his golf cart and go back and forth to the Shell across the street and get cigarettes and blunts so he could smoke. Once thing I can say is that the neighbors were nice. Too bad Ebony and Patty left, they were really nice and were always willing to work with you. Make sure they give you your security deposit back. I left my apartment spotless with no damages and it's been 2 years and I still havent gotten it back.....

Great place!!
I really like living at this apartment complex, because the neighbor is quiet, nice staff, close to many parts of Atlanta, great office staff, close to nearby attractions and Kroger's and Publix, and just an all around safe neighborhood. I would definitely recommend this complex if anyone likes nice neighbors, not many kids, and an amazing maintenance and office staff consistently week after week.

NEED TO DO BETTER
It is nice to be close to the Interstates and the airport. But the appliances need to be updated. They are so old they really need to replaced, when you try to clean them the spray paint they use to make it look new peels off. I feel it is not a enough cabinet space in the kitchen. I believe the amount of rent you pay and the area the apartments could be better. Along with the security gate not being broken all the time.

Love it!
I just moved in a month ago and I love it here! The neighbors are all very kind and even hang out together, the apartment is cozy and clean, and I love all the windows in the apartment. Sitting out on my balcony is wonderful and the storage room is an excellent addition. There were only a couple of broken things when I moved in, and the maintenance staff came in the next day to fix everything. Even he personally welcomed me to the neighborhood. I would definitely recommend this apartment to others--my boyfriend is jealous!

very nice and convenient
I've been living here for a few months and so far everything has went well. There have been problems where maintenance has had to come but they've show up soon to fix it. The working staff is really nice and polite. The location is very nice it's close to many restaraunts and only two exits from the cumberland mall. I feel safe here, it's a nice quiet neighborhood. So far so good.:)

It Has BEEN NICE...
Living here over the past three years has been a great experience. I have enjoyed the tenants and office staff, especially Eboni, who is no longer here but she was such a pleasure to know. The prices have been affordable and the location has been a definite PLUS! I would recommend Tamarron at Vinings because of its great location, secure and gated entrances, clean and maintained facilities, and wonderful tenants.

Tamarron lies
Who's Writing The Reviews, CULLEN is lazy and he's writing reviews, I live here from 2008, The complex is really old with outdated appliances, A/C on the summer $200.00 or more a month, ask the tenants, the parking is total darkness, the lights not work, the dump is always full and smelly, most of the time the gate does not work, and RATS, RATS, RATS, and cockroaches. The Area is ok, Kroger is near, gas stations, I285, Cumberland Mall, but is another apartments around for the same price.

Really like Tamarron.....
I've been here for 2yrs and I've liked it. The old staff(Eboni,Faye and Cullen) know me by name and the maintenance crew know me by face(even at Kroger). But the community is small enough for a personal touch. It's convenient with 2 gas stations in front of the apartment, Kroger walking distance, a Publix around the corner and easy access to I285. There are also a hand full of fastfood restaurants near Kroger as well. It is a gated community with a keycard access. The time I've been here, any maintenance issues were handled pretty quickly(even got a dryer replacement when my dryer died). I like it here with a decent price in the Vinings. The CCT bus systems is right around the corner. You can even paint your walls for more of "Home" feeling. We have a workout facility and laundry facility(for the units that don't have them in the apartment). We also have a pool and tennis court. There are bbq pits setup around the community, which is great for summer get togethers. The only thing it needs is interior updating. I feel like my thermostat doesn't work properly and an electronic thermostat would help greatly. I have the same issues with an updated oven, I feel it would be a great addition.

Pizza?
It's funny how a postive review was suddenly posted about walking distance to pizza! Make sure you take a flashlight in case you get mugged or run over by speeding cars! I suggest taking your car if you own one. I have a one bedroom with a washer and dryer that are highly inefficient. They are old and were swapped out from another unit. The washer is OK when it fills properly and the dryer takes 1.5 hours to dry a small load of clothes with lint blowing everywhere! My utility bills are very high from no insulation and inefficient HVAC. When my oven works it heats my entire unit. I have 2" cock roaches (palmetto bugs) entering my bathtub and into my unit. Lastnight, the darling creature made it's way to my bed at 3:00am. The last time the exterminator came, he mixed his chemicals in my kitchen sink then only squirted at the 2 doors. Boric acid works much better! I see the same cars and shady visitors selling drugs to my same neighbors. I hear barking dogs and noisy neighbors most every night. There is no insulation in the walls, ceiling or floors.

A Great Place For Those On A Budget
I moved in April of 2011 into a 1 bedroom with a washer/dryer included. I couldn't be happier. It's an affordable place for someone like me who is getting back on their feet. I enjoy all of the walking areas and trails and that we are close to Kroger, St. Angelo's and other restaurants. You can't beat a 5 minute walk for some pizza!! Whenever I have had a maint. request they have been prompt and very nice. Every time I go into the leasing office they know my name and that really makes me feel special that they remember a name with a face. We are also close to the mall and a very quick jump onto 285 and Atlanta. Overall everyone has been great and I really love living here so far!

Convenient Location
I moved to Tamarron at Vinings in October 2010, it was my first apartment therefore I took it as it was. It is in a nice location right off of 285. Close to the mall and many other shopping areas. It is pretty noisy at times since it is by some main roads. My neighbors dont bother me but they can be quite noisy at times. The air system is not good at all, when I became pregnant it was the worst thing for my sinuses. During the winter my gas bill is outrageous and during the summer the electric is even more so outrageous. I wouldnt mind if the systems were actually doing the job. It is definitely time for renovation and an update to the systems. The apartment is attractive because living in the vinings can be rather pricey therefore the price they ask for isnt too bad. The insulation is horrible the windows let in the cold from outside. The outer tub needs to be recaulked. UPDATE! UPDATE! UPDATE! Maintenance only addresses the issues they do not fix them. My freezer froze over once after a storm in September and all they did was cut off the water to my refridgerator, which eliminated my ice maker. They used a blow torch to defrost the freezer and burnt up quite a few of my food items. I told the leasing office and the issue was never acknowledged nor did I receive any compensation for the lost food. It is a good place for young college kids or a bachelor/ette not asking for much but it is no place to raise a family with small children...which is exactly why I am leaving.

My Apartment
I love the environment here at Tamarron at Vinings. It's quiet and the office staff are awesome. I don't have to worry about coming home late because people look out for each other. Our maintenance staff are great. They are friendly and make sure they get to you as soon as possible. I love the peace I have here!

great location,BUT....
when will they EVER update the applicances...new stoves, refridgerator and microwave..Considering they are incresed everyones rent... what did the increase go towards? I know my electric bill was doublewhat it has been in the past 2 years Ive lived there, the air conditioning is constantly breaking, and why does my gas pilot light go out every year near winter time??? Carpenter bees every summer and then to top everything off, there was an infestation of rats this summer... Yes,management is friendly enough, especially Cullen M.,and I know they review these reviews,so when will you all update the applicances????

We moved here in 2010. Have been here for a 1 1/2. In the beginning we had tons of problems from leaks and gas leaks. We were moved to another apartment.Haven't had problems since then except that it is just super hot in the summer and the A/C are kind of old and do not do a great job. Kitchen is very small and outdated, water pressure is not the greatest and the water bills are based on the whole building usage. No security on the property. Gates do not work all the time. Not worth the price. The only reason we re-signed our lease is because we are planning on moving to a house next year and the location is perfect for us. The good things about the complex is that even though there is no security on the property, it is safer than other properties. The best thing is the location. Right by 285, close to midtown and downtown, gas stations right across the street and a walking distance grocery's store (Kroger). Maintenance crew is very good and knowledgeable. Staff is ok.

The murder in 920 on WSB TV News was an isolated incident involving a cross dressing homosexual male who posted an ad on craigslist for a date. Shortly after his male date arrived, it was clearly not what he expected and shot the resident twice with a .22 handgun. The victim's roommate found him dead on the floor shortly after and the shooter is enjoying life in prison. The shooting outside of 1200 at 5:20am was also an isolated incident involving a jealous boyfriend who shot up his girlfriend's car with a .45 magnum handgun 8 times. The lady moved away so he's gone too. The rape on WSB TV News was in 400 behind the mailboxes including a break-in. She moved. The lady in 912 died of natural causes and the man in 812 died of cirrhosis. Our groundskeeper said he had the best dope in town, while letting all his friends in the gate! Both families are gone! The guy in 802's door was kicked in twice in broad daylight, but he was selling drugs 24/7. No wonder! The car theft in my parking lot with a hysterical lady? Never leave your car running for any reason and don't hang around with shady men who hire prostitutes. The car was recovered and he went on his merry way for non-payment of rent. My friend's vehicle was broken into outside of 800, so was our employee's outside of 1200. Not too much damage done, just more money for new tools they can't afford! A few laptops, tools, GPS's, no problem. And it continues. Recently, a lady was forced out of her car which was stolen then was crashed across the street. $$$ Don't go out at night, don't leave anything in your vehicle and you will avoid the crime in your parking lot! Ask the office for more lights, take your flashlights and watch the drug dealers come and go and call 911! They are real fast and will avoid you! Get tag numbers and vehicle descriptions! The office doesn't seem to mind at all! They are very nice but get nothing done!

No Communication, No Maintenance!
Nothing but problems since our new Property Manager and prior. They refuse to communicate and nothing gets done but outdoor cosmetic things. Cobb County Police have been here 10-12 times in the last year for rowdy neighbors and drug dealers taking over the complex. Maintenance is very slow moving. Water bills are outrageous. Entire staff is trained to ignore, lie and deny.

Very nice and professional staff!
I moved here in September of 2010 and have been really happy with my decision. The staff is very nice and the maintenance crew are very prompt and professional. The staff does a GREAT job in selecting the people that they allow to live here and so I have very good and friendly neighbors. I definitely recommend ANYONE look at Tamarron at Vinings as an excellent place to move to.

Who's writing the reviews?
I love how four positive reviews were written on the very same day. Makes me think that the office staff is trying to boost the complex's rating. Trust me if you live here, you will want to move asap. The complex just got a new manager, so I don't know how she is. But when I lived here I had nothing but horrible experiences here. The staff are friendly, but are incompetent and very slow to address any issues. Some of the issues I had were...... 1) the AC in the gym never seemed to work and if it did you couldn't tell in the actual gym (no the lobby of the gym - in the actual weight room). 2) The laundry room on site has no AC, so in the summer its hotter inside when the dryers are on than it is outside in the weather. 3) Maintenance is super slow. On average it took a month to a month and a half to get my repairs needed. 4) The complex is really old with outdated appliances. You can also hear all of your neighbors including their rap music and intimate relations. 5) Pretty sketchy place - I had to call the cops twice. Once when I was woken up at 4am from the sound of breaking glass where the girl below locked out her boyfriend so he thought he'd break in through her bedroom window (which was right below my bedroom). Honestly if you don't believe me then please just try to ask some of the tenants. 9 times out of 10 you will get negative feedback. If you can afford to live somewhere else then you may want to live elsewhere.

Nice and Quiet
I live in a few places, but this one is the better, the last complex to i live, never fix any problem, but tamarron, when i call, they be there at soon is posible, staff is great, nice people, no parking problem, the landscaping looks great, is clean, nice pool, good price, and is really quiet, if you have question, ask them, good referral program too, and you can pay your rent online, thats easy, all the time have rent specials, kroger is close, nice restaurants around, police department and fire department is close, home depot is about 3 miles, I 100% recommend you this place, staff sometimes have activities for neighbors, i be renewing my lease for another year on December, I've been living here since 2009 and I am happy and calm, my neighbors are quiet people, not only you to read my comment, see, and gives you a tour of the area you can see this beautiful.

Happy at Tamarron
My husband and I have lived here for a year and have no plans to leave any time soon. We love it and it suits our needs perfectly! We've had no problems with security, parking, or noise since we moved in. The price is great for the area, the apartment (the Drake) is big enough for the both of us, and the location is ideal. We have an end-unit apartment, so noise isn't really an issue for us. We hear the guys above us, but we're on the bottom floor so it's to be expected. The office staff is always friendly. The only downside is that sometimes maintenance can take a minute to get problems fixed, but they usually solve the problem the first time. (They have a ton of tenants, so we never expect service the very next second). The location has just about ruined me for Atlanta. It's PERFECT. A block from 285, hardly any traffic, and Smyrna is one of the best areas in Atlanta. We renewed our lease without hesitation and have been very happy with our decision to move it!
