DO NOT rent here. These people only want your money. If you give them any money do not expect anything back! I reserved an apartment 3 months in advance. Paid $350, found a new job and had to relocate to an area an hour away. They would not refund the security deposit of $200. I expected to lose $150 but not the security deposit. They showed no emotion, in fact were ugly about not returning my money. Good luck if you go there. I will never recommend anyone rent here. Customer service is a must today.

    As this is an anonymous review, I am unable to address your concerns specifically. I would like to explain the application process. The application fee, security deposit, and admin. fee becomes non-refundable after holding the apartment of the market for 72 hours. This is explained on the application which each applicant has to sign stating they understand the policy. I only remember one cancelled application in the last year of which we held the apartment off the market for 25 days. It's unfortunate you thought we were being ugly I can honestly say that's not our intention.

    I am not a resident at this complex, however, my fiancé and I came here hoping to rent a one bedroom apartment and were completely shut down by the office staff. I live in Kennesaw right now at a great complex, but since we are moving to Cartersville we decided to look at this place and it was a complete fail. We had set aside a day to come and visit this complex because of all of the great reviews it has on here and from just word of mouth. We walked in one day as soon as the place opened and a woman greeted us (do not remember her name). We sat down at her desk, and she was totally not interested in anything we had to say at all. I asked for information and she told me to check the website and everything should be there.... I then continued to ask if there was any one bedrooms available for rent in August 2016 and she said "nope" and continued typing on her computer. After that, my fiancé asked if there would be any way we could tour a room and she promptly told us that there were absolutely no rooms available that she would be able to take and show us, and we would have to continually keep calling the office in order to check and see if someone was planning on turning in their notice within the next few weeks. Needless to say, we got up and left within 3 minutes of talking with as much information as we walked in with. Wish the staff would have been more helpful and we probably would have waited to see if a room would open up instead of putting a deposit down on another apartment complex down the road.

I try to instill with my employees that a first impression is a lasting one that is the reason why it is so important to give a good first impression.       Very beautiful, close to the interstate. Friendly and courteous front staff. Grounds kept up by maintenance. Parking can be a problem in the later hours. Gated community is a bonus. Pool and tennis courts are nice! Good area for afternoon walks.

        Avonlea Highlands is a great apartment complex to live in. The grounds, buildings, and apartments are very clean and well-kept. It is a safe, gated community with wonderful maintenance and office staff who are friendly and timely in regards to any issues.

          Excellent staff, they are very friendly and helpful. The landscaping is very good. I love the poolside with the big potty plants. Cathy and staff are always professional and nice. The apartments are well kept. Thanks for the doggy park. I do not have any pets but I appreciate the cleanliness from enforced.

            I am fairly happy with my time here. The maintenance staff is the best part of the property. They are alway timely and friendly and do good work. I will strongly concern staying another year or two as long as the rent remains a good value for me this December.

              My experience in this community is nice peaceful and safety environment why im saying this because i lived this complex for 10 years since 2006 and Cartersville is growing City everything is very close and convenient its walking distance and the staff its just like my family so nice people here :) and hoping to stay Avonlea Highlands more years!

                  We have lived here since July. My family and I enjoy the amentities that Avonlea has to offer. The apartments are very spacious. Once you are inside it doesn't feel like an apartment. We live in a 3 bedroom with a sunroom and couldn't be more please.

                    Fair. You cannot walk between buildings without walking in the grass or street. You cannot even get to the clubhouse without having to walk in wet grass or in the street. Sidewalks should extend at least the length of building parking area..

I understand about needing a sidewalk from the mailbox area to the clubhouse, and a couple of other areas on the property. I have been working with my corporate office to try and get approval on this matter. I made need further clarification about the building sidewalks because we do have sidewalks on all buildings but maybe there is an issue with your particular building that I may not be aware of.                       This is a very clean community with decent tenants'. The tenants have passed a background check and are respectful of each other. The staff is very responsive to any needs or concerns and are very professional. The staff treats everyone with respect and shows genuine concern for our needs. Even to the point of walking out on the grounds and interacting with tenants. The security entry is on a camera and anyone entering the property illegally is recorded. This is a factor with most tenants concerning safety and security.

                        Avonlea highlands is the nicest apartment community in Cartersville. I would not want to live anywhere else. I have met some great people while living here, but also have suffered great tragedy when my dog was attacked. My baby almost died because of management not doing their job and checking to make sure their community was safe.

                          Nice location and apartment. Grounds landscaped. Feel safe. Convenient to grocery stores, coffee shop, department stores, schools, fitness gyms, and minutes away from downtown. For someone who has never lived in an apartment this has been a good experience.

                            Clean friendly community moved here until we find a home my wife and I feel safe and enjoy it very much here. Staff is wonderful friendly and knowledgeable. We would recommend this apartment complex to everyone! The grounds are kept beautiful and if there is an issue the staff is quick to respond and fix the problem the maintain economic staff is also quick to take care of all issues. A great place to live.

                                This is a huge pet peeve of mine. We installed two extra pet stations on the property trying to make it more convenient for the residents. Which I believe and we've been told it has helped immensely. If I may offer a suggestion when you witness these issues to call the office immediately so we can address it quickly. The more information we can gather the quicker the situation can be resolved. We appreciate you bringing such concerns to our attention as we value our resident being our "eyes and ears."

                                Andrea is a bit snotty. She does try to be friendly but you can tell it is fake and forced. Also, we NEED a traffic light at the entrance! It is very dangerous at certain times of day to try and leave the complex. Are you waiting until someone dies?

I apologize you found Andrea to be a bit snotty, but I'm not sure who you are referring to since we don't have an Andrea that works here. I would love to speak with you further about your specific concerns in order to find out how I can address them appropriately. We have the same concerns that you do in regards to the traffic light and have made numerous phone calls trying to get one installed. They are in the midst as I type installing a traffic light on Main Street. My understanding from the City is they hope this will help the situation for us, and they will reassess the situation after installation of this light.

                                    It is definitely the best apartment complex in the area. I am glad I live here and I will continue to do so as long as I live in Cartersville Georgia. The front desk staff is great and will help with any problem. The maintenance staff is incredible.

                                          Love it! The apartment is great and the perfect size for us. We love how safe it is here and being close to the interstate and the city of Cartersville.                                               I moved to Avonlea Highlands on Jan. 2012. During my career in lived in eight different states. Because of the transient nature of my job I always rented an apartment instead of buying. NEVER have I lived anywhere that came close to the living conditions at Avonlea. The staff, both office, and maintenance are awesome. Bert and Cathy the maintenance and office managers respectively are the ultimate professionals in how they manage the community. I would recommend this property to anyone without any reservation.

                                                I like the quality of the apartments and the overall area. My view is gorgous and I like that people are friendly, but not too friendly. I would like for the pool water to be cooler in the summer, but that's my main complaint. I also feel safe in the area so that is a plus.
