I moved here for work from two states away. Initially, Avonlea didn't have an apartment available so I made plans to live across town. That was a mistake as I could barely reach the apartment staff, they didn't listen to my request, and I turned down the apartment when I saw it. I called Avonlea and found they had an opening so I took it and have loved it since. The unit is well finished, quiet, and convenient to the grocery store, town, and the interstate without being crowded and noisy. The staff is helpful; you always see them working. It's easily the best place to rent in town.

The apartment is not worth the price asked for. Then at the end of the lease to renew the price goes up by $100. The maintenance staff could be nicer and more sympathetic. The office staff is wonderful.

As this is an anonymous review, I am unable to address your concerns specifically. We take all comments to heart and consider all residents feedback to be a valuable tool for improvement. It seems your biggest concerns is rental rate increases, and I would like to explain our renewal process in determining rate increases. Renewal rates come from the corporate office and they produce these rates based off market pricing and availability. We have never raised any current resident to full market rate at renewal time. The reason why we don't is because we find value in the current resident that lives with us. Our increases last month averaged a 5% increase for most. Bartow has been experiencing an explosion of new growth, and businesses coming to the area. Our prices still fall lower than metro Atlanta, Marietta, and Kennesaw area. We hope you will continue your residency with us. We take all comments to heart and consider all residents feedback to be a valuable tool for improvement.

We love the proximity to shops and restaurants. The grounds are immaculate and we feel very safe. We can't wait to use the pool in a month or so and look forward to being residents here for a long time.

With a location just off main street this community is conveniently located to restaurants shopping and entertainment. The apartments are spacious and clean. Very quiet neighbourhood. Angela and the rest of the management team is very courteous and professional.

I have been very pleased with the staff at Avonlea-Highlands. The apartments are nice, the grounds are well kept. The location is convenient, and access to the interstate is awesome. I would definitely recommend this apartment community to a friend.

in wintertime . up and down stairs it is very sleepy, also its guide pipe so cold. please make more comfortable. how about parking it assign 4 more wheels special location,because early morning it is very noisy . public antenna signal is very poor, please provide good signal. thank you !

Everything is great, except I was told I was going to have a washer and dryer when I moved in. Not almost 2 weeks later, and a leaking and noisy washer at that. It doesn't leak anymore but it makes an awful grinding noise. And if you call the office speak to Elena only because the other one will have an attitude and act like she is just paid by even speaking to you.

Happy to hear that everything is great, but I would also like to respond to your concern. My apology for your noisy/leaking washer. Our maintenance staff tried to fix the washer in which he was able to keep it from leaking, but started to go through the process of getting the washer approved for replacement due to the grinding noise. Your washer was replaced on 4/13/18 and Angie was instrumental in helping maintenance to get this approved and replaced for you in a timely manner. Again, my apologies for your inconvenience, and we hope we will have your continued support.

Quiet setting. Nice apartment, large rooms nice helpful staff, clean common areas, friendly maintenance staff, safe neighborhood, always updated on latest events and coming up activities for children gives out monthly calendar to keep up to date on activities.

Love it here. Beautiful scenery and grounds kept nice as well as apartments. Love being at the pool. Very inviting and kept clean and water is times it looks like I'm at a resort with all the beautiful flowers and trees surrounding the pool. I like how everything is kept clean and not look like a mess. I love that I can decorate my patio with flowers . Neighbors are nice and we all look out for one another. And the fact of no crime on premises and gated community.

Avonlea has a great name in Cartersville of being the safest apartment living in Bartow County . We are very please and Happy living here.

Quite out side. But thin walls. I can hear my neighbors enjoying each other. I enjoy the Mountain View away from the city life. I enjoy the stores being close. I like the lake and mountain trails being across the interstate.

If you would like some other suggestions of trails to try out come and speak with me. I do want to address your concern about upstairs noise. We do have quiet hours, but if residents are noisy outside of these hours and a complaint is registered to our office or courtesy officer it will be addressed immediately. Just because we have quiet hours doesn't mean that residents can be loud and obnoxious. It is my job to ensure that all residents can enjoy the comforts of their home without disruption.

Normal. would like to have more space between cars in the parking lots. My car was crash on the side twice and had to take it to the shop. I could find the people who did it because there are no cameras in the parking Lots.

This place will nickel and dime you for EVERYTHING!!! You pay a $200 security deposit up front but forget about getting that back. I was sent to collections for a small amount of money with NO written communication from the apartment that I owed anything. Claiming a $90 "pet hair removal/cleaning" fee when I had no animals in the apartment. Also, they charged me over $200 for all new on my pre-inspection sheet, they wrote on there that there were stains in my guest bedroom! (Not to mention that whenever someone moved out, they replaced the carpets in EVERY SINGLE apartment.) Their maintenance workers could be seen with huge rolls of carpet in their trucks right after move out day. Just a scam to get you to pay for their new carpet. I will be contacting the collections agency today and verifying the two legit charges I have on the account which only total $60 (broken blind and nail holes in wall). So sad that a nice apartment complex has to play dirty like this. Definitely will not recommend Avonlea Highlands to any friends or family.

I'm so sorry you feel this way, and I would like to explain some of these charges to you. We only charge for the extra charges we receive from our vendor. Example: If our cleaning vendor charges $100 for the apartment cleaning plus an extra $90 for pet hair removal then we will pass $90 charge onto the resident because this charge exceeds normal wear and tear. Carpet replacement is not done by our maintenance staff it is out sourced to a carpet vendor. We immediately take a huge hit on replacing carpet one of the reasons why we don't like replacing carpet. The carpet has a life expectancy from the manufacturer of 10 years, and we pro-rate the carpet life based on 7 years. So, we immediately have a 3 year loss on all carpet being replaced. Not to mention the amount of time the carpet has been lived on.

I addressed the issues that need improvement already. They include the floor noise, the playground, the car wash and care center, the office center, dog poo, and maybe the addition of recycling. I would conditionally recommend this apartment complex, so that answer is more of a "maybe". It would depend on the rent rate. The rent is climbing and is over much for the amenities and apartment size and features offered. Yes it's less than metro Atlanta, but still disproportionately high for the real estate in the county and for the features and attractions. The staff friendliness, grounds appearance and maintenance response times are about the only solidly excellent factors influencing my decision to recommend this apartment complex to others. it probably is much better than anything else in Cartersville, but maybe not enough to convince someone not to look for a house to rent or invest in.
