This will be our 5th year here. Coming from the upkeep of a house, we are totally spoiled here. Everyone is very friendly, the only draw back are unsupervised children. They have a playground area, but congregate to the gazebo, all would be fine, except for the screaming and standing up on furniture, and leaving trash behind. But this is apartment living.

I see from your review, you mentioned concerns regarding children congregating in the gazebo area. The playground is a little tot playground, and not really suitable for older children. If I may offer a suggestion when you witness these issues to call the office immediately so we can address it quickly. The more information we can gather the quicker the situation can be resolved. We appreciate you bringing such concerns to our attention as we value our residents being our "eyes and ears" when the office is not open. Any previous situations that we have been made aware of have been addressed. We have addressed the children, parents, and care givers, and sent notices out regarding issues.     From the 1st encounter over the phone to our arrival in person to tour the complex we were been impressed every step of the way and the experience years later is...Awesome, Comfortable, Caring and thorough service and the staff is welcoming friendly and always availble for just a conversation or an apratment complication. thank you for excepting our input and offering the survey

      The staff here is very friendly and are always available during normal business hours. The grounds are well kept and any security issues are handled in a timely manor. We feel safe letting our ten year old ride his bike or hang out with other kids in the neighborhood.

        I have had a great experience at this apartment complex. The staff is focused on creating a safe, pleasant and attractive home for the residents. The pool, laundry and grilling areas are always clean and attractive. Just a wonderful experience.

          I have enjoyed living here so far. The office staff really cares about keeping the residents happy. If there is anything wrong in your unit, they get it fixed quickly and correctly. The grounds always look great. The other residents are nice as well. There is a great sense of community here.

            I am happy with Avonlea Highlands. I do think the apartments are a little pricey. I would like to have a place offered where we could recycle our trash. I also think a fended in area for dogs to play would be a great addition! The staff is great! Friendly and attentive!

              There is not enough parking at this location. They are cars parked in front of my apartment by people who live in other buildings and when I come home I do no have a parking space. Some of thes vehicles do not bag parking permits. There is no accountability of these cars so they are no told to move and or register with the office. I refer to park two buildings away from my apartment. I had to park in a ha do cap space law one night. And these spaces are never used. I was gone b 6:00 the next morning but had a nasty letter on my window from the office. It said it I need a parking permit to visit the office. I have had a permit since day one and it is clear that the the vehicles without decals are not monitored.

                As this is an anonymous review. I am unable to address your concerns specifically. We are only aware of parking issues at the north end of the community at the corner of 600 and 700 building. When Avonlea Highlands is as full as we are right now parking can get extremely tight, especially in this area. Finding a spot close to the building, especially later in the evening can be very difficult. We are aware of this and let me assure you we are consistently trying to identify cars with no parking passes, and when we find offenders we address it. However, most of the time they are new neighbors that just moved in that forgot to put their sticker in place and need a courtesy reminder. Other times they are a guest of an existing resident. In this area we have also installed a sidewalk behind 600 building that according to residents in 600 and 700 have been very pleased with how much it has helped with parking in this area. Again, this is the only area that I've heard about specifically. If you are seeing other areas that are congested please call my office at 770-387-0900. There might be other things we can do if you're still continuing to have issues. Plus, we are always open to suggestions from our residents.

                I have lived here a little over two years and I have loved living here. My boyfriend and I recently moved me out of my one bedroom and both of us into a two bedroom unit and it is just as great as the one bedroom unit. This is a very nice to place to live.

                  This is a wonderful place to live. Beautiful, clean and a wonderful and caring staff. I love the high ceilings and beautiful surroundings. The staff has a careful attention to detail in everything they do. I think this is the best place to live in Cartersville.

                    Avonlea Highlands is a wonderful place to live! If you are in the stage of life where you need to live in an apartment, Avonlea Highlands is the place to choose. It is beautiful, clean, and they offer community events to get to know your neighbors.

                      It's been pretty nice. The parking is sometimes a struggle with residents having guests park anywhere. Also, the rent increase each year is extremely high. It is a great location though. Nice access to shops and the interstate. Nice facilities.

                        Glad to hear your living experience has been nice. As this is an anonymous review, I am unable to address your concerns specifically in regards to rent increases. We are on daily pricing and our rents are partially determined by supply and demand/ availability. Please note my door is always open to discuss this further. With our property almost being completely full, parking can be a problem. The area that stands out in my mind is the corner of 700 building. We have taken measures to help to relieve this area so hopefully you will see some improvement.

                          The community is excellent in every regard. However, the gates do not stop desperate and Godless people. The location is the best in Cartersville for convenience to every home need you could have. Also, Pine Mountain is four minutes away so a daily hike is always possible. Interstate 75 makes it easy to get to work in any direction.

                            A resident for over 2 years. This is a very quiet apartment complex that has some great views from our balcony. A staff that is willing to assist in all your needs. A maintenance department that is very quick to respond to your service request. Definitely a place to call home.

                              A sound to close the door of the entrance is too loud. It is poor quality tap water. The truck of the street is noisy when I open a window. I want you to prohibit smoking in all the sites of the apartment. I want you to prohibit all the breeding of the pet of the apartment.

I know recently they relocated a generator at the plant which caused the water to turn brown a bit for a day. I'm not sure if this is the concern you are referring to.                                 I am extremely happy in my current living arrangements. Staff, grounds, pool and activities are excellent. My only problem is that for the amount of money paid each month the apartment itself needs very much updating.

                                  Incredible office staff, fantastic maintenance staff as well! Appearance and aesthetics are always well maintained. Apartment layouts are generous in size and well priced. Nice amenities that you don't find just anywhere. Community amenities are well maintained and easily accessible. Safety is paramount for me and there have been little to no issues in my almost 6 years on property. No better location in Cartersville....great access to everything!

                                    Often the residents are very unpleasant, loud, and honestly - very dirty. I love the complex - it is getting expensive. Having lived here for 9 years - why is there no effort to lock in rates after a certain length. A lack of customer friendliness.

                                      So happy you love your community and apartment. I apologize that you perceive the office team to be un-available. Our office is open from 9 am to 6 pm Monday through Friday and Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm. There is always someone here during this time to assist you. The only time someone may not be here during this time is because we are either on a show or assisting another resident. Like most others, ours is a business of supply and demand. Over the years there have been times where many residents got no increase at all because the demand was low. In recent years the demand has been much higher leading to larger increases. As you may know about a year ago, we switched to an automated pricing system that weighs dozens of factors into setting the rates. The system has actually driven the rates up far HIGHER than what most current residents are paying. My supervisor has actually chosen to override those rates for our long-term valued residents, and offer rates often far BELOW what we could charge by just leasing the apartment to someone new.I'm sure you can see that we value our existing resident by not always expecting them to pay "today's prices."                                       My fiancee and I recently moved into Avonlea Highlands, after about two weeks of reading reviews and comparing places. I can say that we are very satisfied. The price was a little above our budget however we believe that we definitely got our moneys worth. The maintaince manager takes a lot of pride in his work and is extremely helpful and friendly. The office ladies are friendly and make you feel welcome. The grounds are well kept and quiet for the most part. The apartment complex is up on a hill so it's secluded and makes you feel safer but you can also exit the complex and turn right and everything your looking for is right there. The apartment was clean anf spotless upon our move in. The only negative thing that I read in the reviews prior to moving in is that they try to charge you obscene amounts of money for little things in the apartment when you move out so fingers crossed that isn't the case here.

Most of us have been together an average of 6 1/2 years and take great pride in making our residents happy. I would like to explain the reasons why a security deposit may not be returned to a resident who has moved out of our community. Security deposits are to cover the expenses of any repairs of damages to the premises greater than normal "wear and tear". Examples of these damages are crayon art on walls, holes in sheetrock, pet stains in carpet. We provide every resident a personal move-out inspection, and during this inspection any damages that are found are discussed with the resident at that time.                                           When I first moved here, the Staff was very friendly. We loved the Halloween party they had before I moved in here. I loved the Christmas party. Everyone has a great time. We laugh and have a lot of fun. I love where this complex is located. We are in an awesome location. Everything is basically right around the corner from us. I do wish there was something here for the older children/Teens. They have nothing to do, no where to play. Too bad there wasn't a basketball court or a Putt Putt Golf. Something for these kids to do. They can't ride there bikes or scooters. It would mean a lot for those of us that have children to have something for the kids to do.

                                            I like this community and the apartment, but I cannot afford it so I am having to look for other options. There are several other options for rentals that look comparable but are cheaper and have the same amenities. If utilities would be offered with the units instead of being added in that would be very convenient and help the costs.

                                              Avonlea Highlands apartments are clean and spacious. The open floor plans and high ceilings make it feel even more spacious. The staff are courteous and helpful and keep the area looking nice. It is also a very convenient location to the interstate.

                                                We have lived here since August of 2004. The staff is friendly, upbeat and will do everything they can to make you comfortable. If we ever move, it would be back to Nebraska where our children and grandchildren live. This is the best place to live in Cartersville.
