Awesome community
I was a little apprehensive about moving to this property , I had heard various horror stories about living here. I decided to see for myself though , and I think that it turned out to be a great choice. The office staff is the friendliest group of people that I've encountered in a long while. Everyone spoke and looked nice, I was shown the property by Sean and his energy was wonderful, I was amazed by the size of the community , as well as all of there amenitys , which I have the opportunity to use regularly . Every morning I walk my dogs on the walking trail which has a river that runs the length of the property(greatplacetomeditate). And in the evening I use the same trail to start off as a walking point for myself and a small group of walking buddies. This is hands down the best living for the money!

Love
Since the first day I stepped foot into the leasing office I was welcomed with the most professional and genuinely helpful staff. Sean Goins really went the whole nine yards helping us get started with our apartment. The staff here is just superb. The apartments are nice and spacious and the pricing is great! great- mainetence is super fast to fix any problem. They are always doing something to make the area better- but at good times an with reminders so you know when painting is being done. It's very peaceful- good mix of people. I'm 25 but work a lot. I don't want to be bothered by loud neighbors during the week, but I'm happy that I can have a few friends over on the weekends and it won't bother others. It is only 20 minutes from airport and close to any store you would need! The pool is a good size and there are plenty of chairs, decent gym. Very pet friendly- I don t have a dog yet- but this apt really makes me want one! The list goes on! It is a great place to live and I would definitely recommend it.......

THE BEST APARTMENT COMMUNITY IN THE WORLD
THIS IS A NICE PLACE TO STAY. IT IS VERY COZY, QUIET, AND PEACEFUL. I MOVED IN FEBRUARY AND THE APARTMENT HAS EVERYTHING I NEED. THE LEASE CONSULTANTS ARE VERY ORGANIZED AND I LIKE THE FACT THAT YOU HAVE TO GET A KEY AND CODE TO PLAY POOL.BECAUSE OF THEM, IT ELIMINATES NON RESIDENTS FOR DAMAGING THE COMPANY PROPERTY.THE MAINTENANCE STAFF IS VERY QUICK TO RESPOND TO WORK ORDERS AND FRIENDLY.ALANNA WAS VERY HELPFUL WHEN PROCESSING MY PAPER WORK FOR MY APARTMENT. WHENEVER I COME IN FOR A QUESTION, THE STAFF ARE FRIENDLY. I LOVE THE 24 HOUR ACCESS TO THE FITNESS ROOMS. SINCE I HAVE MOVED UP HERE FROM SOUTH GA IN 2006, THIS IS THE BEST PLACE I LIVED SO FAR.

DO NOT MOVE HERE.... THE STAFF ARE LIARS & WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY
Hello. I am writing this because I just left Idlewylde & they ripped me off after renewing my lease for 2 terms & NEVER been late with my rent. Reason I renewed was because the old property manager was very pleasant and gave a me a good deal to stay. However, during the period of time I was living here, I enjoyed it but at the same time I would rather break my lease than to deal with them. My kids loved the pool and my building being convenient to the kids pool, park, and zoned to the school they love but . When I first moved someone was moving out and told me that she had a miserable stay & I believe it now because I was just added to one of their victims. I can never get a hold of the office. they dont answer the phones and the reason is because they are assisting another customer (victim). When I report a maintenance repair, It took over 2 days for someone to fix it but they want their rent on time. The first week I moved in there was 2 young boys living above me and always had a party, music blasting, etc.... There was also this guy that used to pull the alarm in the building everytime him & his wife had an arguemtn so my kids and everyone int he building would be outside in the middle of the night. Do you think the the office would do somehting about it... NOT!!!! When I first recieved my rent bill, they billed me a $75 water bill. They said its divided per building & per person thats living in the house (how many people is listed on your lease). A homeowner pays less than that on a 3 bedroom. At the time of my move out, I did a walk through and was told that they will charge me for the drip pans, and the carpet cleaning. When I called them to inquire about my $500 deposit, I was told I would recieve @297.86. I asked why and was told that I was being charged my water bill for 2 months, but I told them that I was up to date with all my bills. She sai the way the company bills the water is 2 month behind. plus I was also charged for the drip pans for $35 which I knew but it still shouldn't have cost that much and charged 0 for someone to clean the apartment which everyone was charged at the time of move out.I told her that I was not told that at the time of move in. She said that it was on the lease but it is not on my lease. They do have nice apartments

Wonderful Community
I have lived here in this community for 13 months now. I have really enjoyed my stay here. I have only had a couple of maintance issues that was resolved almost immediately after being reported. I have always felt safe. I often see secuity riding around and now with the courtesy officer on grounds I feel even more secure. I decide to remain in this community for at least another year. If you are searching for a place where the staff is very friendly, the grounds are kept beautiful, maintainance is on point, and like for me safety is very important this is the place for you.

Great Place to live
My cousin (Crystal Jackson) was looking for an apartment for four months. She works for charter communications and works off of Boggs Ave. She happened to be on lunch when she noticed the Idlewylde complex. She took a look around and called me about it. Later during the week we both went to the leasing office and were helped by a representative with a great big smile, in fact everyone working at the leasing office greeted us and made us feel real comfortable. Me being a part time infractions officer can tell a happy environment, and from what I was pleased to see all employees must like what they are doing. One day My cousin and I walk into the leasing office and notice a Miss Carla talking to a Asian speaking family, the Father seems to be very angry about something and miss Carla was from what I saw trying to explain the problem to the family. The father got really loud so Miss Carla noted that she was not getting anywhere with the upset father, so she asked for assistance. Both Miss Carla and another woman were able to calmly explain the problem and the family accepted the resolve conclusion. Because of that and the overall beauty of the property, My cousin decided to lease an apartment and is very happy where she is now living. My lease is up in February and Ai hope I may be able to move on property.

------ Fabulous
My mom moved from another state to this apartment complex...The day of her move in, we sent my husband to check it out while we shopped at Wal-mart for some things. He called us and instructed us to stay away. Roach INFESTED. They offered another apartment. The water bill IS ridiculous, but my mom's apartment had a steady flow of water in the bathtub, not a drip, but a steady flow, for 5 WEEKS!!! 1st time she called maintenence abt it, the guy said he was working his 2nd job @ Macy's and would get to it when he could. Leaking refrigerators, running toilets, broken air conditioner (twice), not to mention the affore-mentioned meth labs and the brand new (again) rude office staff, make this place a nightmare. I'm so sorry I convinced her to lease. She could've gone to Magnolia for all of this foolishness.

DO NOT MOVE IN- WATER BILL IS OUTRAGEOUS!
The apts look great, even the first phase. They try really hard to keep the grounds up. BUT THIS DANG WATER BILL ISSUE IS OUTRAGEOUS! When I first moved here, in a three bedroom, the water bill was $35/mo. Why and how in the world did the bill jump up to almost $100. I don't recall there being another drought like it was a couple of years ago. And their answer is, we don't have individual meters, it goes according to one's apt and number of people in apt apt. What kind of sense does that make?!?!?!?! So if one family has 10 people living in a two bedroom with only 2 people on the lease, I have to pay for it. Is that fair? People need to pay for their own dang water bills. Idlewylde, with all the extra money you all receive from late payments and all other payments you all try to put on people's bill, you can afford to spend the money for individual water meters. If you are looking to move here add $100 to your rent for your water bill. Don't do it!

dont even think about.....
WATER BILL is about 100 a month...we were on vacation for 3 weeks in May and STILL got a 91.90 water bill for the month of May. The office staff could careless and HELLO they are running the sprinker system all the time and charging the residents for that stupid stuff. I live on ground level BIG MISTAKE all the dogs are let out alone and take a shyt all over the place. We cant even enjoy the patio because it smells like shyt all the time. I have complained about it to the office staff and they never come to clean the ground level at all. I HATE THIS PLACE!!!!

Im not renewing my lease. Water is $100!!
This place sucks.. I moved in July 2010 and am leaving on 7-31-11. The inside is nice but thats it. The leasing staff is a joke and never lasts more than 3 months before a whole new staff gets hired. Ive paid $100 for water for the last year. They claim water is metered by each buildings use. I dont care how its metered $100 is too much. I dont use that much water!

Run Away from this apartment
1) I live on a ground level and have been robbed, someone broke in to my apartment while i was home. Management NEVER even acknowledged what happened. 2)My patio furniture has been stolen twice. Again no response from the management team. 3) My 16 year old daughter can't take the trash out due to (a)being followed home by 2 teenage boys. (b)some guy stopping her he his car trying to talk to her. 4)The teenagers in the neighborhood seem to think the bottom of my stairs is a great place to hang out and smoke pot. 5)The wonderful amenities I pay for which I cannot use due to the none residents and kids hanging out in the gyms and pools. 6)I can't park in a parking space in front of the building due to the kids hanging out in front of building. Please think twice about living here. Everything I have posted is true for me. This does not include the Murders, Meth Labs and other break-ins that you can check on via the police dept. Drive through the apartments at night a see whats going on for yourself.

It can happen any where the good the bad and the ugly
I recently moved to Idlewylde Apartments back in November of 2010, just like you, I read the reviews and I took a chance and I m GLAD that I did!!!! I have not had any problems here at the Apartments and just like in any location whether you live in a house an apartment or a multi million dollar subdivision crime can happen any where. The apartments here are great the staff is awesome and my unit is located in faze 2 it is very clean and peaceful just like any location children will play outside but people do not hang out all through out the night it sounds like what happened recently (reviewing previous comments) with the meth lab Gwinnett county has been cracking down every where from Dacula to Duluth to Winder sound like those who are unhappy about what happened recently is in the apartment units the situation happened in so please save all of the antics. I feel that Idlewlde is a great place to live and I will be renewing my Lease one more year with them because it is a peaceful luxury and I am a married mother with 2 small children and trust if I felt it was that unsafe we wouldn t be living there.

Spacious beautiful afforable luxury!
There are so many things I could say about Idlewydle. First I Love my apartment and so far my neighbors. Moving into an apartment you never really now what to expect. Who your neighbors are and what the enviroment is gonna be like. As a mother of three small child have a safe clean enviroment is my number one priority. Idlewylde has given me that and so much more! They staff is friendly, down to earth and most of all professional. Maintance men are friendly and effecient they really offer service with a small. The office staff is so down to earth making sure they handle all you needs in a professional manner, and they all know my name(That could be good are bad.. i'm always in there). The make me and my family feel like a priority and not just a customer. I think Idlewydle picked the perfect staff to represent what the community stands for. There are all types of events for the single person to the family person. They offer tutoring for school age kids for FREE!!! THey also offer Movie Night, The biggest Loser,WiFI,Mommie and me day, Wine Tasting,Etc all free to residents. Thats a living I could get use to. Well if your looking for a place where you feel secure, beautiful spacious living enviroment with plenty of events and amenties(basketball court, three pools, two gyms, wifi connection...Come to Idlewydle it's the best of the best and the prices are even better!

Beverly Hills Projects
Best way to describe the five star living would basically be the amenities of meth labs, prostitution ring, conterfeit ring, have the personal security of Gwinnett Co's finest, Sheriffs Dept, Swat, ICE, DEA, etc.Nothing like waking up at 4:30am having Swat outside your door guns drawn. Nothing like being evacuated from your building for 3 hrs do to a Meth lab in your bldg. So there is never a need to watch another episode of cops when you can open up your blinds or walk out on your balcony and see it live especially if you live in the 2100 bldg. So if you choose to live here in Idlewylde Apts luxury living there also wont be no need to watch the local news you will be part of the news and watch yourself on the TV, they stay in these apts due to dangerous living conditions. Maintnence best way to put it dont expect anything to be fixed in a timely manner. Oh & drive slow you have children & adults hanging out on the corners, and walking, & riding there bikes in the roadway all hours of the day. When they give you the 5 star tour ask to look around at all the apts. especially the breezeways, Idlewylde looks wonderful once you live here you will realize its a high dollar projects, they are not worried about the residents happiness or safety just get the dollars in!!!! If you beleive this post is not 100% truthful come by & talk to the residents at 2100 bldg.

5 Star Living Experiece
These apartments have so much to offer; such as great staff, spacious floor plans, and plenty of activities such as two swimming pools and a movie theater! The list could go on, I particularly like how the complex keeps tenants best interest in mind like reminder paper bills, 24 hour on call security and 24 hour maintenence I couldnt ask for a friendlier and pleasant living enviorment

You WILL regret living here. DON'T SIGN A LEASE! Please don't.
I apologize off the top for a lengthy review, but I have a lot to say and want to give an accurate depiction of how my stay was at this horrid place. Idlewylde has to have the most incompetent office and maintenance staff in all of humankind. They are very unresponsive to requests. Don't put in a maintenance request online or by phone because you will be ignored. The only time you will get a response is when you show up visibly upset at the front office because no one came to fix the issue in your apartment that was reported days ago. Oh yeah, when maintenance finally decided to show up to fix the issues in my apartment, they stole my Ipod! They pulled the classic "bait and switch" move. They are extremely nice when you're contemplating living there, but treat you like trash once you sign a lease. Don't even bother going above the leasing office to contact their corporate office, they're unresponsive as well. Water bills are outrageous. I paid $45/mo. on average for a 1bd/1ba apartment, and that did not include trash. Trash is another $18/mo. and for that price, they don't even have valet trash, you have to take it to the dumpster. When I inquired about the ridiculously high water bill charges, they insulted my intelligence by stating that at least my bill is lower than everyone else's. Paper thin walls and cheap construction. I could hear every time my neighbors above me got up to walk, flushed the toilet, watched tv, and had an argument. Some of the residents are sub-par. They are loud (loud music and loud mouths) and don't clean up after their dogs. Poop is ALWAYS near doors/staircase/windows. My car was even vandalized by someone who lived there. The complex is supposed to be a gated community, but the gates are constantly broken and/or left open. To give even more indication of how bad the say at Idlewylde is, I've witnessed several people moving out. Every time I saw a moving truck, I thought, "Oh no, I hope they're not moving in." Thankfully they weren't, they were moving out. If for some incomprehensible reason you decide to stay at Idlewylde, when you move out (which you most certainly will), MAKE SURE YOU HAVE SOMEONE IN THE OFFICE SIGN A STATEMENT ACKNOWLEDGING THAT YOU GAVE A 60 DAY NOTICE OF NOT RENEWING A LEASE. They attempted to charge me rent the following month after I turned in my keys (gave ample notice of not renewing a lease and had the notice notarized by the way). So picture this, I gave notice that I was not renewing, I moved out at the end of my lease, turned in the keys, went back for a walk through, and they still tried to charge me rent! Needless to say that I was stunned. They claimed that they never got a notice. Take it from me, document everything! Also, keep your receipt from the deposit you pay (everyone pays a deposit no matter how good your credit is), they may try to keep that too. My stay at Idlewylde has been the absolute worst experience that I've ever had with an apartment complex. Save yourselves and your peace of mind by not being a resident there! YOU WILL REGRET IT IF YOU DON'T TAKE HEED TO THE ADVICE ON THIS SITE.
