Some of the staff here are shady and most of them are rude including the new manager Eric
I moved here with bad credit I understand they helped me out but at the same time I don't feel safe after being here for awhile. It ONLY! took two months before things started making me feel uncomfortable and unsafe but I'm still here but more alert. These apartments are nice but don't get fooled they do have many crime issues. I was almost sexually assaulted walking from my car to my building the guy came out of nowhere and he was way too close to me trying to hit on me and I told him No and he just didn't want to listen. He continued to get closer to me and I asked him to back up and he just got closer I tried to walk away and he blocked me and followed me I felt like he was going to grab me. Once he found out what I was about to pull out on him then he left me alone but he almost got it yes he almost got the .45 Cal. with hollow points in his chest. It's sad you have to stay strapped in order to feel safe not just in society but at home too. When it comes to the staff one employee told me I could pay him so I could get approved to move in yup shady business so I know if he did it for me he did it many times before for others and it was no cheap price. I know some may think I'm stupid for putting this on here but hey say what you want I didn't want to be homeless cause if they found something wrong on my credit so would other apartments. I'm saying this to state although I may be a good person and he helped me out not all people are and that's why we have the people we do living here. I'm not going to renew my lease when it's up because one I don't feel comfortable agreeing to lie on my application and two I don't feel safe I know it was wrong but I needed somewhere to live so here I am. If you want to live somewhere that brags about how well they can throw peoples stuff out to evict them but slow to do maintenance and trash pick up then you are coming to the right place. The amenities look great as well but the movie theater is never open the basket ball court had broken windows and glass everywhere for at least three weeks before they did anything to fix it and when they did it was replaced with wood. The security gates never really work and the front rail that's suppose to keep cars from driving through was broken into pieces for months. When I moved in they did not give me a gate key for three months until I kept bugging them for one because they supposedly didn't have any. The gate code they tell you to give to your visitors is the same access code everyone else uses it never changes and sometimes does not work. So if you don't have an access key or they did not set you up to open the gate with your key you are screwed. This place is not all that great at all not to mention the drugs that come in and out of here from dealers that live here. I'm just trying to tough it out until my lease is up then I'm gone. One more thing when I moved in they never told me what my mail box number was they just gave me a key but when I asked them about the mailbox they told me it was on the key or it is the same as my apartment and it wasn't the same number or on my key come to find out after being approached by maintenance employee because I was trying all the boxes with my key like a dumb *** it was a different number but he did find it for me on his paper he had with him. If it was that easy for him why couldn't the front office do the same thing? See they fooled me when I moved in but once they had me and I mean the very next day they started being rude. DON'T MOVE HERE RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!!

The bad is starting to outweigh the good!!
Let me start by saying that despite what was said on this site, I moved into Idlewyle in June of 2009. Other then the bad --- kids outside my damn door 24/7, I had no major issues or complaints. Fast forward to the following year, May 2010. I tried to move to a larger 2 bedroom, and faced so many run ins and disappointments, I almost packed my stuff to move out completely. The staff in the office displayed themselves to be no more competent than that of a class full of 1st graders. The office manager, Katie, tried to give me the run around and hide behind the idiots that forced me to have to deal with her in the 1st place. I was finally given an apt that wasn't leased to someone else and torn to shreds only to move into one where the damn ceiling was leaking and the maintenance was to damn dumb to figure out what was wrong the first 5 times. It was a huge headache because I was leaving the country and didn't feel like being bothered. I will give credit where credit is due, and applaud Katie for trying to rectify this mess, but by that time, she had no choice! Fast forward to February 2011. Something is always wrong with my apartment, some things so minor I don't even call maintenance because I don't feel like dealing with them. Some things I have no choice to report and that is where my concern arises. On one occasion the maintenance man did not even attempt to be proactive about the problem to fix it. He simply stated that he did not see the issue and therefore it was nothing he could do. The second time he came to fix something he half assed it, only to come back almost a month later to finish it. I thought it was just me, but it's not. My employer pays associated estates a lot of money to rent units and my colleague expressed the same disdain regarding Katie and her staff. Other then dealing with the office staff and maintenance, I love Idlewylde. It s convenient and close my job! I will probably stay here one more year before I leave. Any major issues during that time and I will pay to break my lease!

I've been living her for 3 years. At first everything was great maintenance came out to fix things, and management kept up the property. After a year of living her me and m neighbor got robbed , while we were at work. Management moved me to another smaller apartment an took $50 off my rent. It really was not worth it, now I live around a bunch of bad kids, when I come home from work the kids barely want to move out of the street for you to park. Now maintenance never comes to fix anything. Every month they put an eviction notice on people doors, and I always pay my rent before its due. Management claim there computers are messed up, that why residents receive eviction notices. They also loss my our rent checks twice! I had to write a new check, and pay for the stop payment fee! This apartment sucks, I'm moving out next month. Please save yourself the trouble, and find a better establishment!

save your money and time and look somewhere else
i been here 2 months and this is not the place you want to be. its so bad i already turn in my notice that am not renewing my lease. the maintenance here is super slow. my refrigerator has to be defrost every month by maintenance manually cause it keeps dumping water inside like a leaking faucet. i have to keep a towel(beach towel 70x36) on the inside to keep water from pouring out when i opening the door. maybe one day they will replace it. we pay all this money for a gated community to find out the gates are always open.. wtf!! 1am in the morning and the gates are wide open. its like inviting all the crime in. and they wonder why we have gun shoots fire over here. hhmmmm. maybe because the gates are open all the times so ppl can just drive right on in. o, i forgot the gates have to be open cause they dont have gate cards for the tenants. the gates are not new. my heater which i have complain about number of times still dont work. the thermostatic is about 30 to 50 degrees off. the colder it is outside the more its off(the picture i post is my keyboard. it has a its own thermostatic reading. was verify by maintenance to be right on the money. the thermostatic on the wall is set to 90 degrees which is the max i can go on it. the reading is 88 degrees. my keyboard reads 50 degrees). but they still tells me that they dont know what to do about the heater. i guess that vent blowing on the thermostatic doesnt have anything to do with it??? i ask them about moving it so it would read the correct temp and they said no. i guess me been cold and freezing doesnt mean anything to them. i had to buy a heater just to keep my room warm and let the rest of the house freeze. everyone of my neighbors cant wait till their lease is up so they can move out. i was like is it really this is bad, they said yes. wish i was warn about this place before i move in. i been to many places and have travel a lot. but never been to a place to where no matter who i ask they say the same thing. maintenance sucks and they leaving as soon the lease is up. it like the manager here dont care. maybe they dont pay her enough to care. i had a package deliver to the office. it was suppose to come to me but i guess the ups didnt want to come all the way in the complex that day and drop it at the office. so i call asking them would they have maintenance bring it to me. they told me no. that i would have to go get it. i was like wow. the office knows that a blind veteran and the lady told me no. i even made sure she know i was blind just in case she was someone who didnt know. still the answer is no. wow, this the way we treat people who have fought for our country and come back with injuries. my last apartment had no problem bring me a package or anything at the office to me. does this sound like a place you want to live. i dont think so.

HATE THIS APARTMENT COMPLEX
I'm current resident, I can't wait this my lease end. Maintenance - last Friday morning i came to office - requested repair in kitchen, Today is Wednesday, somebody came Monday morning, didn't fix it, nobody never said - we will come later or whatever. I visited office again, they said, oh really, sure we will fix it, but AGAIN NOTHING HAPPENED. SO I DID RESEARCH AND FIX THAT BY MYSELF, BECAUSE WITH THEIR HELP IT WOULD NEVER BE FIXED. I SENT LETTER TO OFFICE ABOUT MONTH TO MONTH RENT - HOW MUCH IT IS GOING TO BE, NOBODY ANSWER, NEVER, AND I DID THIS, BECAUSE, ALL THE TIME WHEN I GO THERE ANS ASK HOW MUCH, EVERYBODY HAS DIFFERENT PRICE. WHEN YOU CALL THERE AFTER 5:30 PM, NOBODY RESPOND A CALL, AND NEVER CALL BACK, EVEN I THEY WORK HOURS ARE TILL 6:00 PM OUR NEIGHBORS - TERRIBLE, STILL MAKE NOISE LIKE MOVING SOMETHING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT, OR 11 PM, APARTMENT FLOOR SHAKES EVERY EVENING, I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY PEOPLE CAN'T LIVE NORMALLY!!!! CAR'S - LOUD MUSIC - PEOPLE PARK THEIR CAR ON PARKING PLACE UNDER WINDOWS, OPEN WINDOWS, TURN MUSIC ON, FOR FULL VOLUME AND TALK OUTSIDE, DON'T CARE IF IT'S 11 PM OR 1AM, WINDOWS SHAKING, AND THEY HAVE FUN THIS MORNING, LADY ON STOP SIGN, SHE ALMOST KILLED ME, PROBABLY DOESN'T KNOW THAT STOP SIGN INSIDE OF APARTMENT COMPLEX MEANS STOP! I USED TO LIVE AT CAMDEN - SMALL COMMUNITY, GREAT ONE, HERE IS PROBLEM THAT PROPERTY IS TOO BIG AND STAFF REALLY CAN'T CONTROL IT. CAN'T WAIT TILL DAY I'M GOING TO SHUT DOOR FOREVER.

People PLEASE!
exactly!^ I just renewed my lease. I live in the 2100 building where the meth lab was found and NO S.W.A.T team with "guns drawn"came to my door. A (as in ONE) officer came to my door WITH antother resident from the next building and KNOCKING at the door to inform me of the meth bust and we evaccuated for 3hrs. People stop whining!!! Crime happens EVERYWHERE!!!! I lived in Dacula before in a nice neighborhood, and the number of registered sex offenders living in the area was sickening. no one can controll it. ANd if you people see crime CALL the police!!! Duh! I liked the old staff. The new staff...still getting to know them. ANYtime I've had a maintnance issue they came that same day. As far as complaints....I never complain because nothing serious ever happened for me. Me and my bf live together, and we have no children, so the only real thing that annoys me is that people have their kids in the street acting like they are too dumb to know to move out the way when cars are comming. I really want to just run over their rude a**s, but I'D be wrong? I do see security tell them to get out the street when thet see them, but there's only so much they cany say folks. Overall I like it, and until it's time to get a house, we'll be here. It's deff no Beverly Hills, and the posts like that sound like office staff making up posts, but it's also not as dramatic as people have on here...and MY water bill in a year has never been over $48. Just MY experience.

Home broken into via front door...items stolen
My home was broken into while I was at work. The front door was kicked in and they took what they wanted. A police report was filed and per office manager they are not letting me terminate my lease because "homes are robbed all over Georgia" my options are to give them a 30 day notice AND pay TWO months of rent if I want to terminate my lease. This place is a nightmare, don't bother and dont think your saving money coming here. I hate it and YES my water bill is $91.00 a month. I have to call the office three or four times to get them to fix a garbage disposal, they turn around and claim they dont have anything in the system showing I called. What the hell!!! I'm not crazy, I know I have called, I'm the one annoyed in the kitchen every night because the disposal doesnt work. STAFF is rude, the building walk ways are dirty. Try stepping out of your apartment with small kids and seeing USED condoms on the floor, everyday and no one from the office ever picks them up. I HAD TO PICK THOSE UP WITH TRASH BAGS AND THROW THEM IN THE WOODS. Rude, dirty, nasty, scary and all...DO NOT FALL FOR THIS PLACE!!!

Gun Fire and Shots Fired Into An Apartment in the 3200 Building
Gwinnett Police are doing what they can in this community. Gun Fire rang out in the front of 3200 Building in connection with an attempted robbery. Thank God Gwinnett County removed the bullet from the unit patio window and not the occupants in the unit. I was told the couple had just put their young daughter to bed. The police stated that this incident is the second attempted robbery within 45 days. The mailboxes in the back of the community lend assistance to the gang members and rapists. A young woman was robbed in August 2010 and an attempted sexual assault took place. I wish that I could get out of my lease but stuck here. May God continue to Bless the Residents here.

Below average.
The construction is ok. It's built in the early 90's which is better than most places I've stayed. Rent is ok. 735 for a 1026sqft one bath two bed apartment. But moving in was a hassle. The leasing consultant, NaDallas was shopping for fake gucci purses from a lady selling them out a bag in the middle of telling us about the apartment. And never called to follow up with helping us pick a move in date. After two weeks of leavin her messages at the apartments a woman named Jan called and told me she didn't work there anymore and she would be helping me for now on. So i was annoyed already that it took two weeks for the complex to let me know she didn't work there anymore. They just kept taking messages for her and saying they would have her call me back. So Jan called me right before I needed to clock in at work and I did my best to take in all she had said. I had my wife call right after to make sure everything was right and we were getting the right apartment and price. Because when Jan first called she had us down for a two bed two bath. We requested a two bed one bath. During the phone call my wife made to Jan we found out that NaDallas told us the wrong price for our apartment and showed us a model apartment of a more expensive two bedroom one bath. Also my wife told me as my wife had each of her questions answered Jan kept repeating " I Told Your Husband That Already" after every questin. She said Jan was very rude and was rushing her off the phone. Also our apartment was not ready until the day before our move in date. We did a walkthrough the day of the move in with Theorella. I pointed out the spare sink had a chip that matinence tried to cover up on the porclin with wall paint! And it was peach colored wall paint not even white like the sink! Also we are missing a kitchen cabinet knob, the screen door had a small rip, and the apartment had random screws and trash from replacing the carpet and getting it ready. All of this never has been fixed and it's been almost three weeks now. The day of our move in we received the wrong mailbox key and I brought it back that day. I was promised a new one would be made. A week later I came to pick up the key at 4:55pm. I know the office closes at 5pm but I couldn't get there any sooner. I was met by Jan and I told her what I needed and she took my I.D. And went to the back. When she came back she told me I was not on the lease! I let her know my wife and I both signed the lease together. She went to the back again and returned and said there is a work order for it but matainence never got around to it within that week. I asked if she could call them now and have them do it and she told me it was 5pm and she was ready to go home. She then asked me to leave. Wow. I left just because I was about to cuss her out. I came back a week later on a Sunday this time. Last time was a weekday. And I was told matainence didn't work weekends. I was reassured it would be ready first thing in the morning. I came back tuesday just to give them time. This was my third visit in two weeks for the mailbox key and it still was not made. So I waited and after the matainence man finished his subway sandwich he made the key. I also requested a copy of my lease for I had never received one. They looked and told me they lost it. Jan told me I should just come back later. I told her NO. I need it now. It took them 30 minuts to find it and make a copy. This has been my experience at Idlewylde in Duluth ga so far. The apartment itself is ok but the leasing office staff is unprofessional and neglectful. I'm sure they are going to lose my rent check sometime in the near future. I'm not renewing my lease.

Keep looking; Make sure you ask about the Water Bills!!!! Talk to a tenant!!!
I would say keep looking. The rent seems ok, until you get your water bills. I lived in two apartments in the phase II park of the complex from 2008 to 2010. The first apartment I lived in was in the middle of the complex facing the pool area. It was great and I never had any bug issues. But I did notice that the water bills was crazy. I didn't learn why until I left in May. They do not have a meter for each apartment; only for the building. So you will be paying for others water. My was bill was always between $50-60 for a two bedroom. I should have took note when the office staff left one after another that the apartments were going backwards. Once I renewed the lease in 2009, the property changed ownership, and the complex went down hill. I upgraded to a larger 2 bedroom in the back of the complex. It was ------. People just sit outside all day like a clip from Boyz In The Hood. When I lived in the middle everyone would be gone from 7am to 6pm; Not in the nack area. Once I mived in the back, I noticed a strong mold smell from the master bedroom that came from a hole under the shower head that they attemped to close before we moved in. The mold smell lingered for a few months before I went away. Every time I called the office about the mold, they sent a older handicaped white guy with lemp that had his own odor; he would only spray some bleach water and check off that he corrected the issues, which he never did. Returning the the crazy water bills. In this apartment the water bill increased to $85-95 a month. Even when I went out of town, the bill remained the same. I was paying for the hoods water. Those folk that stayed home all day and sat outside in the parking lot, as if Zulu was marching by in Mardi grads. In these two bedroom apartments they had a mexican crew of 8, another family of 7 and who knows how many others I was forced to foot the bill for. They require a 60 day notice before moving out. I gave these clowns a 91 day notice. Three weeks before I was to move, they claimed that I would have to pay them $2000 becuase they did not have the notice. I had to call the crapy management to provide them with the detailed letter, time-frame and who I gave gave the leter to months before so that they would stop putting harrasing letters in my door. Then after I left, they took $197 out of my $500 deposit to cover the last months water bill (ok)and the next months bill (--------). I returned the keys on the 30th of the month, yet they charged me for a full months water, not half. --------.

Move here if you love roaches and BAD custumer service!!!
First..*Office staff* are friendly when you are moving in and if you don't need anything but when you need them they are not very nice and they don't take the time to listen, they just shake their head and say "ok, we'll take care of it". *Maintenance* is horrible, when something needs repairs you have to call them several times because they never fix it right the first time..and I mean it, takes about 5 times to get it right. *Roaches are BAD!!* I have never lived in anywhere w/ roaches and the problem here is HUGE!!! No matter how clean you are, they are there. *Security guards* are very rude, they are supposed to be there for protection of residents but they are VERY RUDE to residents and they are so busy pretending to be FBI agents that they don't do their job..unless driving around and being rude is their "Important Job". Oh...and they advertise their Clubhouse,Pool Tables but you have to rent it to use it and it's not cheap and the Basketball court is always locked..I have never been able to use it and I've lived here almost one year. They have been "fixing it" since we moved in. So... you pay for all the amenities but they don't tell you that nothing works and if it does, you have to rent it...I am moving out and can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!

Full of illegal immigrants and poor people
Here is my recommendation - Live here for the price, not for the living. If you expect more than the price, you're stupid. Too many problems to list, so I will list only the major problems 1) 2008 - We rent a 1st floor level 3bed room 2 bath apart, 899/mon. Great space for the price, and also for the roaches. Roaches are so severe that we had to ignore them. First they appeared in the kitchen, then bathroom, then our bedroom. The apartment ppl did NOT spray for bugs before we moved in. AFTER we moved in, and SETTLED for a week, they asked if we want to spray the bugs. Of course we said no because that meant we had to move our ---- out again. The apartment ppl hate us 2) Too many illegal immigrants 1 apartment, 9 people? They party everyday on saturday and sunday. I complained 5 times, nothing happened. I called the cop twice, the next day happened again. Cops can't deal with these illegal people, neither can the apartment people. The office even told me to keep complaining with the police because they cannot do anything about the noise. 3) No repair because they have no people or money Today, we have no water for the entire day. I called and was told that ETA to finish repairing is unknown. I just got home, still no water. 2 months ago, their microvave exploded in our apartment and we had to move the next day. They did not reimburse us for the moving cost or the cost of our stuff. They even charged us ridiculous fees for moving like, apartment switch, failure to shut down water and electricity (is this for real?). We had to tell them we would hire an attorney to sue them to make them erase those charges. 4) Parking is full of crap - People park wherever and whenever. Kids play soccer and football whereever and whenever. - THey have garage for $50/month and idiots keep parking in front of your garage, even though there are like 50 empty slots right behind the garage. I called the tow truck to tow one idiot parked in front of my car in 2008. The next day there was another idiot. I had to park my 2nd truck in front of the garage so that no idiots can park in front of it. I complained with the office, they said they cannot do anything about that and I had to call tow truck to move the idiots' car. What the ---- is this kind of service? 5) Apartment people hate you - probably the same reason they hate their job because they have no way to fix your problem. No money to repair the apartment stuff. No money to enforce regulation. They have security guards but the gate IS ALWAYS broken. - The first day it was repaired, some guy broke it the next day. The gate is always opened and the bar is always broken. - They said they have camera around the apt complex but when did the last time they catch those ppl breaking the gate? NEVER

Hate It.
First off i would like to say that this is NOT the biggest complex in the metro Atlanta area (i know i've resided at a bigger & less hassle free complex tht I should have stayed at) now back to my experience here..I've resided here since january 09 & my lease is almost up...& i'm already packed to get the hell outta here. lets start with the gate..the front gate never works & the back gate is a "sometimes" thing. I don't want to even get into the parking situation in front of my building.....but what the hell i'm already on the subject lets talk about it....parking is a total nightmare here after 6pm, why don't you get a garage you ask?....well i have one but i never get to park in it because whenever i come home its always a new (unknown) car parked in front of it. so i stopped even trying.& while we're on cars.. my car has been broken into twice (nothing was taken..so either they couldn't find what they were looking for..or have no common knowledge on how to steal a ------- radio) & vandalized once (because of the kids playing in the street) which leads me to my next point.....THE DAMN KIDS! first off i love kids but these kids here behavior are off the charts! i was actually outside when they threw a basketball & it hit my windshield (breaking it) & when i started to ask what happened the little boy (about 9 or 10) cursed me out with words i wouldn't even say (i'm 25 LOL) & lets talk about how i witnessed the guy attempting to break into my apartment (from the patio) i was in my living room with my blinds open & he still tried, i called police & obviously there have been a number of break ins at that time.....now i never remembered management mentioning that to me (tisk tisk) & lets talk about how i got the bobby & whitney of neighbors....everyday they find a new topic to fight about, & since the walls are soooo thin i can pretty much tell you that the girl is beating the guy up lol. & my other neighbor next to me is an apparent college guy who loves to party....so when i get home from work on the weekends i have to deal with getting hit on by drunk guys (and 1 drunk girl LOL) while just trying to get to my damn door.....all in all i just HATE IT!..OH but I have no pest issues. thats the only good thing i can say about this place (: whatever the case i'm packing my U-Haul & speeding the hell away from this place

Idlewylde
I moved to Idlewylde about eight months ago and I have been very happy. I have great neighbors, I never hear any noise, the apartment is nice, the community is pretty, and the pools are great, especially the kiddie pool. I have a two year old son and it's nice to be able to take him swimming without being in a deep pool. The location is excellent, I looked at apartments all around here and these were definitely the nicest I saw.

I have lived in Idlewilde for 1 year in June and I just signed another lease, which I am now trying desperately to break. I have heard a lot of horror stories over the last year and I always thought..well "that could happen anywhere" and "as long as you keep to yourself it will be fine." After the current events at Idlewilde...I am done. There are always a ton of kids at the pool unsupervised. They are loud, obnoxious and destructive..take a tour of the clubhouse in the back of the complex. The security guards are a joke and these "animals" do not take them seriously AT ALL!! I know this is not how Management would not like things run and I hear they are trying very hard to clean this place up...but I really do not feel safe here. Shootings are a regular occurance...especially if you live around the Kiddie Pool... It is a shame that these "animals" are taking over this complex, b/c the apartments are decent and affordable and the majority of the people and employees are nice. It only takes a few to ruin it for everyone. For those who say they haven't experienced anything bad while living here, that may be true, or maybe they need to open their eyes. Vandalism and robbery is one thing...but when you have shootings, all it takes is one stray bullet. I really hope they can staighten things out in here...but I will not stick around to find out.

I live at Idlewylde and certainly did not notice that protective bubble surrounding us that protects us from all evil and theives and crime and selfish people that have no respect for others--THAT CAN HAPPEN ANYWHERE! I am aware of my surroundings, I NEVER leave anything of value in my car, I dont advertise the nice things that i have and i have renter's insurance ($13 per month)in case anything happens to it anyway. I absolutely LOVE it here! I am a young professional female living by myself and never once have I ever felt threatened or unsafe. I think that the cash to value ratio of what I am getting here at Idlewylde is way beyond compare to any other community around--tons of ammenities, the staff is so nice, the place is always so clean, my apartment is HUGE for how little I am paying, and did I mention that I love it here?! I am sad because there are PEOPLE that ruin places with tresspassing and disrespect to personal belongings and others--I see that this is NO FAULT of the staff that works at Idlewylde. My screening to get in here was intense--they even checked my criminal background! They are just as cautious as to who they let in this place as I was for where I wanted to live! I highly recommend it!!!

Idlewylde employees trying to make themselves look better
Idlewylde sucks. I broke my lease only 3 months after moving. I lived in another complex for 12 years, so don't even go there. Management sucks. The gates work one day ,the next they are wide open, then they are hanging half way open. Somehow my garage door was opened and got things stolen. The office says it's my fault for leaving the door open. I say someone has a master garage door opener and is going around stealing things when they KNOW who is home and who's not. I've never seen snipers, but did see the SWAT truck and many police cars one night. There are fire trucks and ambulances coming in and out regularly. And did see some guy get arrested across the pool by the front office. A car ran right through the front gates my first month like it wasn't even there. Thousands of loud kids, pit bulls, thugs, illegals, white trash, you name it, it's there. I am posting this because I believe Idlewylde is posting advertisements on here in the form of reviews. I also read somebody's post on here that if you checked the IP's you would get different ones for every post. I am all for that. I authorize this website to compare my IP with the other posters.

I got this from a leasing person at idlewylde. I think this shows a more accurate picture of the property...

Moved in and haven't had any major problems!
I just read the reviews from this year and I'm very confused. I haven't had any problems with my apartment, the office or 'thugs, SWAT standoffs, etc.' I'm not sure if these things are made up, or if people look at certain people and make snap judgments. My husband and I moved in with our little girl into a nice two bedroom. After looking at the other apartments in the area, this one offered a great special for the space. We liked another place that was slightly lower in price, but decided that the extras were worth it. Earlier in the month they had a cookout by the pool, though I didn't see the flyer, just happened by it since we went to the pool that day. It was nice to meet the new people in the office since the guy that we worked with is now at another property. I hope that the rest of our lease is as great as the beginning. We also have a dog and the trail they have to walk on is nice. I like that you don't have to walk your dog just in the parking lot area, having trees and the whole nature scene is nice and makes it homey.

Police standoffs, fugitive haven
This place is the pits. When I say the pits, I mean the armpit of Gwinnett. I had kids vandalize my car, there was a police standoff with SWAT teams and everything. I called the cops so much that I knew them personally. I had my place spray painted, and watched the tennis court get spray painted while I was playing! The security is a joke. A lady got stabbed by her jealous ex. My girlfriend was harassed so much she stopped coming to my place. I also watched a kid get jumped into a gang in the parking lot on my way to work one day. My dad purchased a firearm for me after 6 months of living there. I got out of my lease by threatening to call Clark Howard. There were evictions weekly. I used to kick through peoples stuff every Friday outside the complex. If you want to sell drugs this is the place for you. If you want to join a gang and ruin your life this is also the place for you. If you want something better, section 8 housing is less than a mile down the street. Its safer, nicer, and quieter than this place. Look at my pic, and get used to the site of lots of police cars. This is a real photo of a police standoff. I wasn't allowed to leave the complex so I took pics. There was a sniper team, three SWAT vans, and two helicopters. If you move here I will pray for you.. BTW I see there is staunch opposition to any negative review of this place. Who the hell would sit around and talk ---- about a place that didn't suck; and more importantly: WHAT KIND OF RENTER TRIES TO MAKE THEIR APT LOOK BETTER!?!?! Answer: None of the positive reviews are renters, they are all employees of Idlewylde.

Idlewylde is all smoke and mirrors.
This month my wife and I decided to break our lease and move out regardless of the threats we received from staff about getting sued "for thousands of dollars". They allowed 10 mexican s to move into the front apartment which if we read the lease it states that any person NOT on the lease cannot stay for more than 7 days. Well, I sincerely hope that they did not allow 10 people to live in a two bedroom apartment. Their apartment emanates a strange smell all day long, like burnt lizard and tequila. They have mexican parties, scream like some kind of wild chickens and park their mini vans with racing spoilers on my garage driveway. Below us moved in some black thugs. They are home all day and night and we can hear the low base constantly throughout our apartment. On top of that, we are running into different people everyday coming to "visit" these punks. Now, we are good friends with our neighbors across the hall who are black. No racism here, so if you have something to say about it, youre wrong. They have complained many times to the office about the mexican s and thugs and they do nothing. They only care about having the apartments full. This is also true for section 8 and I heard somewhere that there are many Katrina "victims" living here. You know the ones... The ones that 4 YEARS LATER are still living for free, not working and driving around Escalades with 40" rims. The gates work sometimes, sometimes they are broken. Sometimes a "security" guy is parked at the gate asking if you have permission to enter when the gates don't work. Sometimes there is no one there and admission is free and to anyone. My car was opened and my GPS, cell phone and Ipod were stolen at 2 in the afternoon on a Wednesday. There are many pitbul owners living here. There is drug dealing going on. The pools are always full of all kinds of people, I mean to capacity type of full. The staff never corrects any problems. The contracts are way too one sided. If you're an illegal mexican, or a drug dealer, then by all means, do move in. This is your safe haven.

NOT SAFE FOR A FAMILY
I have lived at Idlewylde at Duluth for a year and a half. I fear for the safety of my family-bottom line. Dominoes doesn't deliver after dark. Why? Because their drivers have been mugged several times. About once a week there is someone getting arrested in the parking lot. About a month ago one of the tenants was having a party that resulted in a stabbing and a shooting. The entire gwinnett county police department responded and the entire apartment complex was shut down. The lease reads that pit bulls are an immediate eviction. Every single time I walk my small dog pit bulls are being held back by their owners. I suspect that the place accepts section 8. Theres been numerous break-ins (that I've heard of). If you aren't a drug dealer look somewhere else!
