I typed a lot of stuff on the previous survey, but the staff gone downhill. I feel as if I'm living in the projects at sometimes. Residents are very disrespectful. Rent went up significant amount after first year. No negotiation! The size of the apartment and location kept me here another year.

I have enjoyed peaceful surrounds. Crime is not usually an issue. When it does, the Office staf are quick to respond. I love the pool. I don't want to move. I think you are stuck with me. My neighbors are nice. I have a container garden outside where I grow veggies. My cats are happy.

Experience has been great. Appliances and carpet are older tho. Price is right. The lighting inside of the apartments is bad, we need a lot of lamps. We really enjoy living here. The staff is very nice and helpful.

I moved into this apartment complex in 2013 . Everything was ok till 2017 . Now this is one of the worst apartment because of the management. Any maintenance request would take atleast 6-20 days to complete .

The Columns At Lake Ridge is a very nice and quiet community. I have enjoyed living here. The office staff as well as the maintenance technicians are very cordial. The maintenance technicians do a good job when they come out for a maintenance request. The grounds are always clean. There is no loitering on the property.

Location, location, location! The office stuff and the maintenance stuff are responsible and fast on our request. I feel at my home even it is a rental apartment and I will recommend to my friends to move in this community. Overall I am satisfied of being here!

Neighbors have been super nice, and the community is quiet and relaxed. The move-in experience was very pleasant and everyone at the leasing office is a pleasure to talk to and very helpful with whatever you may need.

Feel that s followed through. Three items that I asked to not have were all overlooked. Didn't get the same floor plan that I viewed and chose. No walk though what's offervery clear that the money was the important item of the day. No professionalism, was glad to take my money, handed me a set of keys and sent on my way. My experience was the worse. I would gladly pay the the penalty to be released from the lease. Laundry may be repaired by now but was not functional for the first 5 weeks of occupancy. Landscaping company is a joke. There is no reason for them to damage private property yet they pile their debris behind the bushes outside my door. There is nothing that I have experienced that has been a positive.

My girlfriend and I moved into the Columns at Lake Ridge in August. They are not the prettiest or cleanest apartements- but they are cheap, spacious, and in a fantastic location. This being said, anything that could have gone wrong with the apartments has. We moved in and the AC was not functioning at all. So we figured that the move would be a little hot but it would be fixed and cooled down by the time we were settled. The AC stayed broken for 7 entire days after we moved in. The only thing they offered was a fan, which in Georgia, in August, just doesn't cut it. We had to sleep elsewhere until the AC was fixed. Since then almost everything else has had issues too. The dishwasher, fridge, outlets, bathroom fans, bathroom fixtures, paint, pests, locks and other things have all had issues.

Great people, especially Ms. Jina and the Chief service tech both on the request asap. In case of any emergency when we contact the emergency phone line, someone gets back quickely to get it resolved earliest.

Major service decline. Several managers come and go over a short period of time. Lack of follow up and follow through. For the price, the customer experience is not being taken into consideration. Poor customer service is at the root.

It has been a tearful, extremely dissatisfied experience. Rude,Lies and filthy hazardous apartment and as each month or week it's always something wrong. Using money to try to make thing right did not help it just allow the rent to be near what it is worth.

Overall my stay in this community has been pleasant. As such I do not have many problems except for some fixtures not working. Roaches are my big problem & I want to get rid of them. Have scheduled a pest control activity for 4 week starting this week. Hope it works.

It has not been a great experience due to maintenance issues and snakes in the area and apartment. The sidewalk and building lights in the area are currently out and have not properly worked which makes it very dark and unpleasant to enter the apartment, especially due to the snakes in the area. These issues have made my living experience very aggravating.

We have lived at the Columns for 13 years. When ECI took over, they did a lot of work that should have been done several years earlier by the previous owners. The entire complex is in much better shape and the landscaping is now tremendous. In the area where I am at, all of our neighbors have been here more than 5 years with some of them around 10 years. I think that says a great deal about how great it is to live here at the Columns. We have been impressed with Joel and his staff as they have worked and planned many social gatherings for the residents. They have held cookouts, movie nights at the playground, Christmas parties, etc. All for the one low price of 5 cans of food to feed the hungry which the staff donate to the locate food bank. Where can you get a better deal in Atlanta and get to meet and socialize with your neighbors? After 10 years of trying to get a neighbor watch program started here, with little response from the previous owners, Joel made it his first priority. Since then we have had several neighborhood watch meetings with the Dekalb and now Dunwoody police. Joel also arranged for the fire department to present a fire safety program for the residents. The staff and maintenance crew are really great. Whenever we have had a problem they have gotten right on it. Now I would like to respond to some of the complaints in the other reviews. Sure there is trash on the grounds but where in Atlanta have you never seen trash strewn around. This not the fault of the owners, but to the general lack of decency that you find everywhere in Atlanta. I have never seen so many people who don't care that they trash their own neighborhoods. Every morning one of the staff is walking around picking up the trash from the previous night. So people, how about putting your trash where it belongs. For a long time I have pushed to get better speed bumps in the complex. With all the kids around and the reckless speeding, a terrible accident was just waiting to happen. Fortunately, that never happened. Joel worked hard to get new ones and now with the new speed bumps, there has been a 90% reduction in speeding through the complex. Those that fly over the new bumps don't do so for long. Every complaint we have made regarding noisy neighbors has been taken care of quickly by Joel and his staff. I think that Vicky is probably the best at it. As to the roaches and ants, this is after all the South. They do have a pest control company that comes out often. All in all, a very nice place to raise your family.

Feeling financially raped. Lived here 4 yrs. Got transferred to another state about a month before our lease was up. Gave 30 days notice, but the fine print said we had to give 60 days notice...not that we were terminating early, but that we were not renewing our lease. So they charged us an extra month's rent. Then charged us $75 for a $30 set of blinds. Also said we owed over $200 in past water fees...from four years ago! What water company waits four years to figure out how much water you used? That brings us to the utility costs. (just FYI) For two of us we paid at least $60 in water, $50 in gas and any where from $70 to $150 in electricity. The first three years were ok. About a year ago, roaches took over. There were neighbors coming in with music blaring at all hours (3am). It seemed fairly safe, but they had the occasional break-in. The AC was never able to keep up with GA heat no matter how often we called maintenance. The porch windows were about to fall out. The ice maker was leaking behind the frig, so they fixed the leak, but never fixed the ice maker. The dumpster frequently overflowed into the street. They put in new speed bumps that are so high, they tear up your car and jar you to death no matter how slow you go. All I can say is, "Good riddance!"

Overall, a good choice.
I lived at Lake Ridge for a year and was satisfied overall with their customer service and the complex in general. Maintenance was responsive to all issues reported (although many things malfunctioned repeatedly due to less than quality products). Had a minor ant infestation, and the standard palmetto bugs (unit was right next to the tree line) but nothing too crazy. The grounds are well maintained, and it's generally pretty quiet. There were 3-4 reports of theft in my year there, but staff was forthcoming with notification of any events and I never felt unsafe. Vickie is the BEST, friendliest and most helpful staff member and makes you feel very welcome! The main frustration with my time there was the lack of parking in my particular cul-de-sac. Seems like most buildings have adequate spaces, but I often had to walk quite a ways if I came home after 6pm. Very nice neighbors, though! Although a bit pricey, for the location and space you get, Lake Ridge is a good choice.

Satisfied customer
I lived here back in 2010 and may possibly relocate back to the Columns. I enjoyed the staff, the area and my home. I did not find it noisy, as a matter of fact I enjoyed the woodsy environment with all the trees and even the lake. The rent is affordable and it allows me access to Perimeter, 285 and all of the conveniences.
