I have lived here 3 years and have always been happy to call Walden at Oakwood home. The staff is always helpful and friendly and maintenance items are always taken care of the next day, whether I call, email or leave a voice message. The apartments themselves are new and very nice. The construction is very solid, much moreso than some other properties i've lived in. Fixtures are nothing fancy but are tasteful and good looking. The pool area does tend to get crowded in the summer, but it has plenty of chairs and tables. The grounds are very well maintained and always create a good impression with guests who come over. Overall mostly quiet, sometimes noisy when people are out and about but nothing unexpected. Good for both families and non-families and very affordable, especially considering the condition and upkeep of the property. Would highly recommend to anyone looking in the Flowery Branch area!

The overall experience...
The overall experience was and is still great. Very clean environment and friendly to kids even if I do not have any. The staff is very friendly and always is willing to help. I have once paid my rent and for some reason put a wrong amount on the check. The staff just called me up and asked me if I can stop by in the next couple of days to fully pay my rent without any penalties. The only thing that I might complain is that parking of your boats/wave-runners is not allowed at this property which is somewhat disappointing considering that we are close to the lake.

My experience here has been very pleasant concerning the Office staff along with the Maintenance crew.The property is well groomed, The apartment are beautiful, compared to other gated communized Developments. Here at WALDEN@OAKWOOD I enjoy the social activities, the fellowship with others, The exercise room, the car wash,etc. is very convenient for all residents. this is a very wonderful place to call home..

Enjoy living here except...
Enjoy living here except there are too many dogs. People don't respect the complex. They let their dogs pee and poop right in front of my patio door. They shouldn't allow this many dogs. It should be pet free. I can't sit on my patio in the summer because it smells like dog poop. Also, there should be assigned parking. Motorcycles should not be allowed to take a full parking space. Especially if it sits in the same space for days at a time without moving it.

Great apartment community. I have lived here since 2011 and am moving because I got a new job in Alpharetta. Having to look at other apartment complexes made me realize how lucky I was at Walden at Oakwood. The apartments are nice and spacious (especially for the price) and the office staff has been great for the 18 months I've lived here. All service requests were completed on the same day they were submitted. This is a great community for this area.

My apartment is beautiful. I have a large kitchen with lots of cabinets, two large garden tubs and plenty of closet space. As far as the staff goes, I think they act in a very caring and sincere manner. Service orders are done in a timely manner.

The apartments are decent looking. There is NO insulation; therefore you can hear every movement above, below, and anything surrounding you. I hear my neighbor use the bathroom. (Yes, number 1 and 2. YUCK!) The leasing agent that assisted me was rude and stuck up. I admit, going through a divorce hasn't made me a pleasant person to be around, but if you're in sales.. you have got to be a little more respectful than she was. Thanks to a kinder gentleman in the office, I returned to see the property with a friend. I had to make swift decisions and ultimately got stuck here because of the lack of the lack of time with the situation I am in. I've been here just a little over a two months and I already know I'll break my agreement early. Anyways, making a long story shorter... neighbors hate it here because of the staff and construction making the overall environment disgusting. Also just judging by the way the manager speaks and starred at my chest, I assume she is a -------. Have fun searching for a nice and pleasant home!

Ive been living here for 2 years and just renew my lease for a 3rd year. The staff and maintainence team are ALWAYS courteous. Ive loved every day since i moved in. I would recommend living here to anyone. I worked in the restaurant business for 28 years and i know all about customer service. The staff here treats everyone like family and thats great customer service.

Not kids friendly. If you have kids I do not recommend. Your kids will not be happy. The manager hates kids and is very rude when she approach them. All the kids in the neighhste her. I would only recommend only if you are elderly and plan on not having any guest coming to visit. There gate system is horrible. Your guest will hate to visit because they will have to wait hours to get in. I highly do not recommend

It is obvious which of the reviews of Walden have been written by the staff here at Walden, but posing as residents. The hook is fantastic. When you are considering signing a lease, you're hugged and greeted warmly each time you walk in the door, but as soon as you move in, you're just one of the almost 1000 who live here. The noise level from one apartment to another is atrocious. Not only does it sound like the neighbors above me weigh 500 pounds each, but the ceiling actually squeaks WITH EVERY FOOTSTEP. They are up very late and early, so forget about ever getting a full night's sleep. The clubhouse, pool, and leasing office is beautiful, but the rest of the complex is not maintained like the front part. The model himebis right upfront, so you are left to assume the rest is, too, but you are not shown the rest during visits prior to leasing. As i write this review, it is 9:25 on a Saturday morning. my neighbors were pounding the floor after midnight and are currently on their third round of very loud sex since 6:30. I have no idea how I would explain that if we had children here. Please save your money and just rent a house. The additional price is not worth the added expense.
