I love my apartment
I moved in to The Lodge early this year. I knew that they were in the process of doing a renovation. Over the past several months I have seen great changes. I love the fitness center and the pool was nice this summer. The office staff seems to be pretty good they are nice and have always been helpful. I have not had any problems with my neighbors and when I call to have somethng fixed in my apartment .. it gets done. So I say all of this to say I am pretty happy with the location, price etc.

This place sucks!!!!!
When we moved there from Orlando last February, they didn't have our place ready even though I called the day before to confirm. So they gave us the place anyways, when we got to the apartment there was no electricty, no water and worst of all there was some left over food in the fridge and freezer that had maggots and flys all over it. We had to stay in a hotel (which we got reimbursted for) for 3 days until the utilties got turned on. They didn't clean all the dead flys on the apartment but they did replace the fridge. After a week of living there my wife's car got broken into and her radio was stolen. We had multiple neighbors because they kept getting evicted. There was always torn up trash bags in the street because ppl would put their trash on the trunk of their car and drive to the dumpsters and when the trash would fall they would just keep on driving. Then ppl would pretend not to notice them and drive over them. I can keep going and going on how much this place sucks. Don't pat attention to the 1 good remark, I bet that was an employee. Save yourself the headache, LOOK SOMEWHERE ELSE!!! Oh yeah and the new management sucks!!

Sandy Spring Mexican Dump
This place has gone down hill in two years. It was a somewhat nice place to live for the money. Now I am just waiting for my least to expire so I can move out. Here are some of the problems I have encountered in this place

1) I had a watrer leak for 2 days coming through my kitchen ceiling.
2) My dead bolt needed to be replaced, this also took 2 days to be replaced.
3) there have been several police raids, for drug dealers, and prostitution.
4) Several cars have been broken into in the area that I live in.
5)A delivery person was mugged in the building that I live in at night.
6) There is no sevurity in this complex.

So unless you are Mexican, a thug, drug dealer, hooker or a wanted person this is not the place for you. LOOK ELSE WHERE

GO SOME WHERE ELSE
I LIVED IN PLANTATION CREEK FOR SIX YEARS. AND AS THE YEARS WENT BY THE LIVING CONDITONS BECAME WORSE AND WORSE. MANAGEMENT AND RESIDENTS SELECTIONS WERE INCONCEIVABLY PITIFUL. DO NOT MOVE INTO THIS APARTMENT COMPLEX.

New Management
Plantation Creek is under new management now. The new company came in strong...They have paved the whole community, work orders are answered same day or within 24hrs. It good so far we still have the kids in the street but I really think they are cleaning the place up and making them into condos.

Don' do it!!!!
The property mangers here do not care about their tenants. I had circuit blow in the electrical panel 6 months ago and until this day I have gotten as much as a return call. I had to have it replace on my own.

RATS… RATS... RATS... this place has rats and no one is trying to anything about it. I do understand that mice my sometime may come into play, but these are rats. I am a very neat person and I cannot understand why the invasion has taken place.

Just say no!!! Sometimes things are not as good as they seem. Plantation Creek has made me a believer.
plantation creek is great
i've heard of all the bad things people say about this place, and half of it isnt true. In my 6 months of living here, i havent yet gotten robbed or mugged. my neighbors are very kind and they are concerned about cleanliness, so i guess i have one of the nicer apts in the middle of the neighborhood. i enjoy the ducks, even though the water is kind of dirty, but i have never seen a dead duck on the raod. nor have i seen prostitues or crack dealers on the street, ever. the worst thing that's happened to me is that some of the men standing around have hit on me, but that happens everywhere. the kids are usually nice and listen to me, since i am on their good side and have a little borther whom they play with. we had a rat problem about a month ago but they've dissapeared and i have only seen one cockroach in my house. my apt came with a washer and dryer, as well as clean floors and walls, and none of the windows wre broken. the worst thing i would say is the way that the outside looks. there is graffiti on the indise halls of the apts of "south side crips" and i belive a man was sleeping in the apt next to mine while it was empty. nobody's broken into my house, and the worst thats happened is the kids playing ding dong ditch. its a very populated community, and yes, you'll see people outside. i suggest that if u dont like being looked at or even stepping outside into the daylight that u should not move here, but otherwise, this place is pretty great

Warning!!!! Please Read
I moved to Plantation creek april of 2005 and i am leaving april 2006..Why? Let's start at the beginning. I have never recieved the incentives that were due to me such as an accent wall after numerous times of asking and begging. My sick and other fixtures were never fixed period. Let's not forget that the day i moved in, they didn't have me and apartment and the apartment they did give me someone was living in(we walked in on them). They got my gas turned on at someone else's apt. Bug issues. I had a rat infectation. I promise i thought the rat was a cat and they took 2 weeks to come out to put a glue trap down(after i contacted corporate). The rat/beast turned over the trap and attacked me. They finally contacted someone to actually catch it. I never recieved reimbursement for the rat infestation(i couldn't stay in the apt). Corporate told me that it was nothing they could do about rats...obviously!..The staff is nice but useless if i can't get things done. I will not come back and I urge you to look closer at the apt if you come to visit or better yet come during the evening to see prostitutes, crackheads, and maintenance men hanging around with work orders due from 3 months ago.

Just say no!
Only the bottom rung lease here at Plantation Creek! I have been here for two long years, and I've seen it go from bad to worse.
ROACHES - Huge problem! Spraying doesn't help. They fear no man or chemical.
NEIGHBORS - Mostly drug dealers and illegal immigrants. Children vandalize vehicles in front of parents without punishment. Vagrants out at all hours of the night. Very unsafe.
HEATING/AC - Usually doesn't work. When maintenance fixes unit, works for a day then quits again.
PARKING LOT - Doubles as playground for children. Abandoned vehicles all over the place. Many people park in areas which are not designated parking spots, blocking others in.

The only area that has improved since I moved here is the management staff, but that's still not enough to make me stay. Come here after dark to see what I mean.

Could Do Alot Better
The floor plan is the best thing about this apartment. The bugs and mice are whats running me way. The management is slow about taking care of problems. You have to keep on then to get it done. I also dont like it that cans and bottles are not picked up out of the bushes, they only get whats laying in the open. Pot holds in the lots that could be filled. This could be a very nice to live if it had some TLC.

Please read before moving here!
I usually don't post reviews about places...I tend to let people judge for themselves, but this place is so bad I just have to warn people.

I moved into Plantation Creek in April..and I'm moving out in February. I haven't even been here a year yet, but I can't wait to get out.

Safety is my number one concern. This place just isn't safe...especially if you have children or are a woman on your own.

I'll list some of my complaints:

1.) In the past month 3 cars in my parking lot along have been broken into. (Including my wife's car.)

2.) There are delivery restuarants in the area that won't deliver after dark due to the threats of muggings they have received.

3.) People hanging out at all hours of the night in the parking lots and awnings.

4.) The other night a man pulled up behind my wife's car, blocking her in, and just sat there staring at her as if waiting for her to get out of the car. Luckily she had her cellphone with her and was able to call me to come outside and get her.

5.) Cars speed through..not safe for children playing outside. (Not that they *should* be playing outside here...)

6.) Management does not care about these safety issues. There is supposed to be a courtesy security officer...I've never seen him. The apartments are supposed to have alarms...ours hasn't worked since we moved in.

7.) Random gunshots usually once a week or so. Police are never called.

8.) Lots of rumors of drugs, prostitution, and illegal aliens abounding at the property. I try to stay inside my apartment at night...so I couldn't tell you for sure. I am *afraid* to leave my apartment at night...I shouldn't have to be that afraid of the place I live.

Aside from safety issues, management does not answer maintence requests. Bugs are everywhere. The grounds are filthy. Grafitti is everywhere, and when they do get around to painting over it, it's back the next day.

There are no walkways, so pedestrians have to walk in the street...see above about cars speeding through.

There's mold on our bathroom floor and in our water heater closet.

Speaking of water heaters...ours was leaking gas. We called emergency maintence 5 times...no replies. We had to call the fire department, who promptly came out and confirmed that there was a gas leak. They shut off the gas, and told us to call maintence. Maintence came 2 days later, and just turned the gas back on. No inspection done to assure that the gas leak was fixed.

To sum it up, don't rent here. Go elsewhere if you value your safety. The cheap rent just isn't worth it.

German, American, every variety.

This is just the beginning. I am still currently there, will write more as time progresses.

If you are thinking about moving here, you would be happier getting a second job or roommates, if necessary, to pay $100 or so more somewhere else. Danger Zone!!!!
Would you like to live in the ------ where there's packs of transexuals fighting daily and driving thru the walk ways of the apartments trying to run over there boyfriend, do u like hearing gun shots and waking up to an apartment full of police officers because some one got murdered a couple doors down from you, do you like cops storming in the apartment next door to you because they are doing a drug bust, and last but not least do you like roaches and ants having family reunions in your bathroom? If any of these things appeal to you then move to plantation Creek I assure you that you get plenty!

Stay away!
I am a current resident, trying to legally get out of my lease. I hate it here. The staff is so unorganized. The roaches and residents(not all) are uncontrollable. I requested different work orders numerous times, and most of the time they don't even bother. It's the worst apartment complex that I have ever lived at. I must say it is a lesson learnt.

Do Not Move Here
I wish I knew about this website and read the reviews about Plantation Creek before moving here. I moved here in Jan '05 from California. All seemed fine at first. But the roaches never left. I would walk in every day with a can of Raid, some times the exterminator showed up sometimes they didn't. But that doesn't top the huge ants that were outside the buildings everyday. I would park far away from my building so ants wouldn't crawl all over my car. Then someone who lived there decided to stalk me. Almost everyday, my locks were tampered with, the police had been out numerous times and management was unwilling to do anything but let me out of my lease but not before charging me all these fees. I'm in a much better place now and so glad I don't live at Plantation anymore. All the previous reviews about Plantation Creek are absolutely correct and still don't paint the true picture.

This place should be condemned!
Before we moved in we were assured that the roaches would be gone by the time we arrived from the West Coast. Nope. Now, 5 months later, we've been able to legally break our lease because they've been unable and unwilling to fix the problem. We've been lied to, given a multitude of excuses, and I think I've had a dozen aneurisyms thanks to the aggravation the management put us through. I'm so glad we're out of here. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. There are too many problems to be fixed easily, and that seems all Plantation Creek and Aimco are interested in. When we first moved in our neighbors were drug dealers who had people over at ALL hours, thumpdy-thump music, loud parties, public boozing outside our door, and after they abandoned the place we went inside to find food, furniture, drugs, used condoms, and other trash laying everywhere - it was "Jose's Apartment" without the singing and dancing. We had a great lady move in and she moved out a month later because the place was still dirty, the roaches were still partying, and stuff never got fixed in the apartment. I don't blame her, and we are following her right out of here. I think part of the problem here is that about 90% of the residents are happy living in filthy conditions. If all 484 units demanded better living conditions maybe something would be done finally.
Long story short - save yourself the headaches and your sanity and stay away from this place!!

Plantation Creek is a BIG JOKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is my first apartment here in Atlanta. I moved here in April of 2004. I moved in Plantation Creek in July of 2004. When I saw the model it was nice. I informed the managment that I was on the busline and I need a apartment close to the bus stop and she told me it was no problems. Why when I moved in my apartment was located about as far away from the bus stop as you can get. I was totally upset because I work 2nd shift and by the time I get home it is 12midnight and I have to walk by myself from the bus stop all the way to the back of the complex. The majority of the light are broken and not working I have told management and they said that the light company has to come out and fixed them. That was about 6mos ago I have lived her 8mos and they have not fixed on light yet. My apartment is very quiet so I have no complains there but the roaches and ants are a problem. The marjority of the complex are --------. There is graffiti and gangs signs on the buildings. Garbage lying everywhere there has been a lady who was killed walking to the bus stop because their is nowhere to walk but in the street and they speed all the time they do not know what speed bumps are. I don't own a car so I don't know about parking. The complex just need a good cleaning and I suggest you start with the management because if you have a good management that cares for their people and not just about money you have a great complex. So beware enter at your own risk!!!!!!!!

Biggest mistake ever!!!!!! Don't do it!
Now I will give it to them for the prices, and for the good game that they have, while trying to get you to sign the lease. But once you sign the lease that is as far as courtesy goes. Putting in a work order does not mean anything to them, you have to contionously call them for something to get fixed, and Lynda at the leasing office thinks she is a gift of God instead of an employee, her attitude is not good at all. I would tell people to defently look elsewhere and not let the prices fool you!!!! People park whereever they feel like it, weather you can get your car out of the parking space or not is none of their concern. About three weeks ago, some kids broke into a apartment next to me and thru a party and left nothing but beer bottles and weed bags laying around.

The reviews don't lie!!
I came to ATL becuse of my job. In July/04, my boyfriend and I came here and checked out a few apartment complexes. We looked at Plantation Creek and he really liked the landscaping. Once I went back, I checked out Apartment Ratings.com. When I read the reviews, I was a little skeptical, but decided to do so anyway.

The staff here is really nice, but when you ask them for something, they never deliver. I moved down here in October, as we did a walk through, there were no storm windows in the screened porch. It's now April, and I have yet to receive them, even though I have asked them about them TWICE!!! Also, the rent is too HIGH. I couldn't get the rent price that I was quoted before when I came to veiw the apartment.

The roach issue here is absolutely TERRIBLE!! Not only am I a neat housekeeper, and am very afraid of turning on a light and seeing bugs scatter everywhere! When it was requested, it took them 3 weeks to come out. Recently there has been a lot of vandalism on the walls. I don't have a problem with my neighbors, they seem to be pretty nice, exept some of the kids seem to be little bullies!

But to save yourself a lot of aggrevation, don't move here...I can't wait to MOVE!!

Poor service
Avoid living here if you can. Office staff is nice only before you sign a lease agreement. They made promises that they could not deliver. We lived here for almost five years. The first two years were nice. Service went from bad to worse. We never received our deposit back when moving out. The leasing office came with excuses for not returning our deposit. We gave up since it was too much time and stress to deal with them.

Planation Creek reeks...
When I and my roommate moved in we were just so happy to live in Atlanta that we didn't notice how bad the management was.

The property was sketchy in certain areas, but we lived around safer buildings.

Towards the end of our 8 month stint at PC, the management was less helpful and wasn't organized, the quality of residents went down (unfriendly, milling around outside at night, loud music) and even when they offered me a 1 bedroom at a decent price I declined.

A friend of mine moved in after my roommate and I left and she lasted 3 years. She hated living there, but she has a family to support and the rent was cheap. Also she was just plain lazy. Then she heard about some woman getting raped in her own apartment and my friend quickly started making arrangements to move.

Mexican ------!!!
I don't even know where to start with this place. The only good things about Plantation Creek are the size of the apartments for the price, and the screened porches. The noise problem is horrible. An hour won't go by without hearing someone drive by with their bass turned all the way up. The complex is 70% Mexican, which normally wouldn't be a problem, except for the fact that they have 3-4 families living in each apartment!!! Many have large parties (30 people) every Friday and Saturday night. There are shady people lurking around at all hours. The children run here rampadly with no adult supervision. About a week and a half ago someone got shot outside of the 6987 building. This place is loud, dirty, and unsafe. Maintenance here is ok... the problem with them is that they never get the work orders from management. The management here is unbelievable. They are rude, inconsiderate, and completely disorganized.
I can't wait to get out of here!!!!!
