The worst place to live
I have been living at Plantation Creek for 2 years and before moving I never had a roach in my house period but, when I moved in I told them and it seems the roach problem only got worse. The maintenence people come out only when necessary after you curse them out. The landscape job is trash everywhere. On my building some kid wrote gang signs on it. They showed me an apartment that I didn't even have a chance of getting. I had to yell at them about my wallpaper. The kids playground where is it as of now JULY 2004 it is a big brick pile.
I have nothing against Mexican's but, them hanging their clothes all over the place and those bad azz kids hanging all over the place makes living in Plantation Creek a living hell.

Like living in Mexico and a ------??!!
If you like living with a lot of illegal aliens and crack dealers, this is the place for you. Management is terrible. Leaking roofs that they will not fix. Continual bug problem. The bugs could carry you off they are so huge. Noisy neighbors. What security officers?? Supposedly some Fulton County officers live here. If so, I've never seen them. They probably know better. Forget something fixed in a timely manner. There is supposed to be 24 hour emergency maintenance. I think that means it takes them 24 hours to check the messages on the answering machine. This place is really bad folks. I'm gettin' out!!

Great place!!!
I've only lived here for a few months now and I'm so impressed. Since I've been here the office has changed management and I've notice a huge difference in the complex. I live right on Roswell Rd and get a lot for my money.

a terrible place to live
I would not recommend this apartment complex to my dog. The neighbors are noisy and rowdy and the grounds are unkept.

Sandy Springs ------
This place is the absolute worst. Management did nothing. I had to request my alarm to be fixed 42 times. I was given another apartment other than the one I was shown. The apt they promised was moved into the day before I moved so my phone got turned on there, and gas. They couldn´t have cared less. Moved in, it wasn´t clean, bubbled wallpaper, roof damage and most things didn´t get fixed in the yr I was there. The wall paper was fixed and I did get the opportunity to choose. Fridge, not the freezer froze my food solid regardless of the setting for the first 3 months. A/C ... I don´t even want to talk about. The office staff would rather avoid you than deal w/you, which they are good at. That I will given them. Had to write 3 BBB letters, and they didn´t respond to it. I invite you to check their BBB record. AWFUL!!! Even when I called to confirm my application it took 9 days to get back and that was ONLY because I showed up. This place is HORRIBLE, never move here. Even corporate will avoid you. They will never offer you a service guarantee, because it´s not a concern. It is the ------. Kids always around, running in front of cars, thugs hanging out at all times of the day and night. The paper bins near the mailboxes stay full of trash. A very large complex, yet one trash disposal. PISS POOR SERVICE if you get any. I CANNOT stress it enough, the savings are not worth it.

Looking up!!!
Plantation Creek was not a pleasant place to live. From almost none existent maintenance repairs to a continually preoccupied managment staff, it has horrible. That is until as of late. The new manager and staff seem to really be getting things together. The community is cleaner especially when coming into the entrance. There are flowers and the sign is lit. The maintenance guys actually do come to correct maintenance issues!!! I have even had my carpet replaced because it was old and worn (that´s right after only a year it was old and worn: Cheap materials) If I call into the office today, my requests are answered and met and I have to say I am impressed. Good managment makes all the difference in the world. I wouldn´t have recommended living here to anyone 4 months ago but today I will. Let´s hope they keep up the good job

21 MONTHS TOO LONG - YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR
The only good thing nice about the apartment is the price. Since I have been here, there have been 1 rape and 1 murder too many that I´m aware of. Imagine coming home and having part of the parking lot tapped off because someone was shot in broad day light or coming out of your apartment to see a naked woman that had been raped next to your car. I´ve had a rat the size of a 12 foot shoe in my apartment and 3 dead ones in the outside hallway. How disgusting?
The neighbors are ------. Instead of parking in a parking space, they park directly in front of the walk way. So, you have to knock on their door to ask them to move their car to get out of your parking space. The office will give you an idea of how well this property is taken care of.

wouldn´t recommend it... but cheap
Moved in December 02. Pretty quiet for the first 3 months. Promised swimming pool and tennis court still to this day being worked on... never got to swim. Bit ------. Maintaince srvc is poor. Our A/C breaks once a month. Other problems continue. Gas and electric run high. We had 2br 1 ba .... very odd space. Cabin fever will kick in if you stay in a lot. Occasional loud yelling or something at night hours 6pm - 2am. Definatley bring your own washer and dryer.

The Slums of Sandy Springs
My experience started off badly from the moment I moved in. After signing the lease 3 months prior, they switched apartments on me, would not allow me to view the apartment one week prior to moving in. The day we moved into the apartment they had not started cleaning up the dump - the carpet reeked. Forced to move in we weren´t able to unpack because we had to force them to put in new carpet (at first they just wanted to put in padding) because it reeked of cat urine. Finally after a week the carpet was put in.

After living in the city for the past few years (2 blocks away from Ponce de Leon) I can now finally say I know what it}s like to live in a ------. Ducks are constantly being run over and people come close due to people who drive very fast and there are no places to walk to the bus stop on Roswell Rd. The ponds that the ducks live in are dirty pools of water with trash. Of course there is trash EVERYWHERE - the maintanence tries to keep up with it but it}s impossible to get all of it - people who live here don}t care about anything.

Loud booming music most of the day, gaggles of thugs staring at everyone, obvious drug sales taking place in the open. Car vandalism, shots ringing out during the day & night.

The staff is always rotating - average stay for management is a year. Answering machine doesn}t work or they choose to ignore it. Bare bones staff that is impossible to get in touch with because they are busy roping in new residents & ignoring past ones. Construction debris is all over the grounds - for the past half year the tennis courts have been dug up & management won}t tell us what they are doing except exlaiming they are doing }everything}. The company AIMCO that owns the complex won}t pay for upgraded utility lines so power goes off ever now & then, phone service is bad b/c of the old lines so even with DSL we have to disconnect the modem b/c the phone buzzes & the cable lines are old so digital cable is not available.

But the rents cheap. At least that}s what we tell each other.

Plantation CRACK!!Dirty apts.,------ neighbors,BROKEN PROMISES!
Rent is cheap. That is the only true item that will ever be spoken by the ever-changing leasing staff.Whatever else they may tell you..consider it myth, legend,or a half-truth.

I have lived in this complex for 2 and a half years..(Only because the rent is cheap.)Currently I have a dishwasher that is rusted on the bottom...MMMMMM!Nice clean and healthy right?!I have requested more than once to have it replaced. My stove had to begin to smolder before they replaced it( like the dishwasher it appeared to be original from this 25 year old complex).

I was also promised a different one bedroom when moving from a two bedroom, and they did not bother to tell me,I had to call and ask if it was ready for move in..Supposedly there was a sewage leak, but who knows for certain.

When I did move into my one bedroom--(Aside from the fire-hazard stove and rusted barely functioning dishwasher)The walls were covered in dirt, there is a three foot crack in my living room ceiling,a two-foot hole was TAPED OVER AND PAINTED,and my bedroom window still cannot be opened because it is completely cracked. The stove is the only item in this list that has ever been resolved.**Very conveniently, my move-in inspection which states all problems with the apartment was LOST both times I turned it in to gain resolution to my issues.

Trash and litter is all over the complex on a daily basis,I guess that is the replace ment for landscaping,as that has not occured for years.

The leasing office will never answer the phone. If by a slim chance you speak to a person, they will tell you what they think you want to hear and never follow through.

Hordes of evil children run in packs through the complex. They will walk into, yes into the street when you are trying to drive home.I have heard of the courtesy officer, but have never seen one.Drug dealers hang out in the complex late at night, and nothing is ever done about this, either.

I have stayed only to save money for my future home.

Although I am a person whom you will never meet take my advice as you would a close friend--Unless you want to have all the sensations of living in the ------,spend the extra money on a complex that values it residents and their quality of life..You will not find this at Plantation Creek.

Sincerely,
A.

It´s Terrible
When we first moved here in ´97, it was great until AIMCO bought this place. Noise, drug dealings, nasty ponds, destroyed tennis courts, empty pool, and all of that is just the beginning. The office staff prefers to talk on the phone rather than help residents. Kids who will cuss you out and play all hours of the night. The best way to describe this place is projects on the northside.

Living here....hate it...------.....
It seems like where ever I look there is a thug thing. The apartments suck. Kids running around every where at late hours of the night. Dirty ponds, trash every where, drug dealing, illegal aliens, multiple families living in one apartment. People having sex in their car´s. The noise is like living near a club. OH!! and the Maintence? what maintence, nothing happens here....nothing get´s done. Do not be sucked in by the cheap rent and stuck in this hole like us. You get what you pay for. Here you pay to live in the projects.

Plantation Creek
Living here for the past 5 years, I can say that I would not refer this community to anyone. The management is difficult to help out with maintainence issues. The people that live here are not the best type any longer. No DSL access. Washers and dryers hardly work. Dirty ponds. There has also been people shot in this neighborhood.
